Walking quietly through the forest we hear scream echoes in the distance. We all turn slightly to face the direction of the scream, "Who do you think that was?" Sakura asked quietly. "Doesn't matter as long as it wasn't one of us. Let's keep moving." Sasuke tells her. She nods as we continue walking through the deep, dark forest.
"So what's the plan on getting the other scroll?" I say breaking the everlasting silence that was among us. "What do you mean plan? We just gotta fight somebody and get the other scroll we need." Naruto says nonchalantly.
"But, we can't just rush out and jump somebody. That's too dangerous...isn't it?" I asked. "Well, there's really no other way to do it Mina." Sasuke tells me.
"But, she's got a point, it would be kind of dangerous just attack someone out the blue...what if their a lot stronger than us?" Sakura chimes in. "Well, do you two have any other ideas on how to get the other scroll." Sasuke says. "Not really but-" My sentence was cut off by a sharp wind, the blow cuts across my face like a knife. I feel blood trickling down my cheek, "Mina-chan you're bleeding." Naruto states.
"What was that?" Sasuke asked. "Maybe just a change in the weather?" Sakura offered. "That's no regular change in the weather." Sasuke tells her. "Then what-" Another strong blow comes, sending us all in different directions.
"Ouch Mina, can you get off of me please?" Naruto asked. Pushing myself up to look at him I say, "Oops sorry."
"It's-uh...cool." He stutters, a slight blush crossing his face. 'No, not this again...although he does look really cute when he all blushing and what not. Woah, did I just say that? No, he's not supposed to like me! He's supposed to like Sakura or Hinata! Not me! But...he is cute...Stop! Stop with this girly nonsense.' I then realized we were still siting there, in the same position, just staring at one another. I quickly get off of him and turn to face the trees, a warm sensation arises from my cheeks.
"Mina-chan," Naruto starts off, "Are you okay?" I turn to look at him, "I'm fine-" Right behind Naruto stood a gigantic snake, "Naruto, behind you!" I call out to him. "Ah, that's a huge snake!" He yells as he takes a kunai and throws it into the snakes eye. The huge vermin hisses at Naruto, "Here, get back." I tell him as I start to sign my hand signs.
Naruto swiftly jumps back from the snake as I call out, "Enkounebai no Jutsu!" I start to spit out a dark tar like substance on the snake, when it's almost completely covered, I sign one more last hand sign and the tar like substance begins to ignite making the snake go down in flames.
Once I finish watching the snake burn, I jump down and stand besides a wide-eyed Naruto. "Um, you okay?" I asked, waving a hand in front of his face.
"That...was amazing Mina-chan! How did you-Where did you learn how to do that?" He questions excitedly.
I give a sheepish smile and a shrug, "It wasn't that amazing...just a justu Kakashi-sensei taught me." I tell him.
"Not amazing my but! That was totally wicked!" He exclaims. "Say when did you get so...awesome?" Naruto asked teasingly.
I give a small laugh, "What do you mean? I've always been awesome."
"Psh, yeah right just last week you were a total loser!" He says.
"Whatever, we all know I'm way awesomer than you.
"Well, we all know I'm the king of awesomeness." Naruto says
"Ha, notice you said King but, we all know I'm the Queen of awesomeness." I say triumphantly.
Naruto gives a chuckle. "You do know Kings are Higher than Queens right?"
I sweatdrop, 'Oh yeah...' "So, that doesn't matter I'm awesomer than you. Your comments are invalid. Let's go find the others now." I say.
"You're just mad I won that argument!" Naruto yells in the distance. Which was not true at all, it just dawn on me that Sasuke and Sakura might be in trouble and we were standing there in the middle of nowhere having a petty argument. "Bet I could be you there!" Naruto says as he randomly appears next to me. "I bet you won't!" I say picking up my speed. "Oh it's on Mina."
Upon arrival of the battle scene that looked like it was at a pause, Naruto yells out, "Hey! Looks like we made it just in time."
"Naruto, Minami!" Sakura calls out happily. I survey the picture before me. My eyes slowing drifting to Orochimaru, who was currently wrapped around a branch of a tree. A small shudder shoots it's way through my body, It's not that I'm afraid of him, it's just that...he's freaking creeping.
"Well, it looks like you two have defeated my little friend." He cooed in his creepy female voice.
"Naruto take Mina and get out of here. It's to dangerous." Sasuke warns us.
"No! I'm not leaving! I want to help." I yell at him.
Sasuke glares at me for a minute then turns back to Orochimaru. "Here," he says taking the scroll from his pouch and holding it in his hand. "It's the scroll you want right?"
"Sasuke, don't do that." I tell him calmly. "Stay out of this Mina." He says harshly.
"Sasuke, you better not give her that scroll!" Naruto yells.
"Take it!" Sasuke yells as he throws the scroll to the snakily woman...or...man which ever you prefer to call...it.
"Sasuke, no!" I call out but, almost at the speed of lighting Naruto catches the scroll, "Just what do you think you're doing? Stop trying-" Naruto hits Sasuke with a swift blow to the face.
"You're not the real Sasuke, the Sasuke I know would not be acting like this, like a coward." Naruto says.
"Well, sometimes a prey must give up something he loves for the better good." Orochimaru says. "Besides, I could just kill you if I wanted the scroll."
"Oh yeah," Naruto says, turning to face Orochimaru. "I bet you couldn't kill me even if you tried!" Naruto yells as he takes off running toward him.
As Naruto charges at Orochimaru, the Snake Lord, summons yet, another huge snake. Naruto dodges the sudden strike of the snake but, Orochimaru then does some kind of fire justu and it successfully hits Naruto.
"Naruto!" Sakura calls out. "Sasuke don't just stand there do something."
I look over to Sasuke to see that he was completely out of it, he was just standing there, though the others probably couldn't see it but I could, he was...scared. Something that I never thought I would see from him.
"Well, I thought you would be more of a challenge. Guess I was wrong but, your sister here, she seems to be more of a challenge. I guess I will just have to find out, hm?"
Orochimaru and his snake make it's way over to me at the speed of lighting, I ready myself with a kunai in hand. But like always, someone just had to be the hero and Naruto jumps in front of me and stabs the snake in the nose. He looks up at me, his eyes red and the marks on his face more dominate than ever. The chakra that he was leeking, the nine tails chakra...I'm not gonna lie it was pretty intimidating. I unconsciously take a step back as he speaks up, "You okay Mina-chan?" I nod, "Yeah," was the only thing I could manage to say.
"My, my, what do we have here? It seems to me that when you're angry that the nine tails chakra is released. Interesting..." Orochimaru says as he whips his tongue out and wraps it around Naruto, lifting the boy to his level.
"Hey! Put me down!" Naruto yells as he squirms around a trying to free himself. "Let him go!" I yell as I pull a couple of shuriken at him but, he catches them effortlessly. "Now then," he says dropping the shuriken that I had thrown at him to the ground. "Five Prong Seal!"
"Naruto!" Sakura calls out as the boys body falls limp. Orochimaru then takes the scroll from Naruto's pouch then tosses him aside. I quickly jump from branch to branch, trying to catch Naruto before he hits the ground. "Okay fine say what you want about Naruto, he might be stupid, a loser but at least he's not a coward like you!" Sakura yells at Sasuke.
Shit, he's heavier than I thought he would be.' I think to myself as I gently place Naruto on the ground.
Afterwards I jump back over to where Sasuke was, "Sasuke, I don't know what's going on but, you have to snap out of it. We need you right now." I tell him. He looks at me for a minute, then drops his head and closes his eyes.
'Come on Sasuke...I can not do this by myself. I need you.'
"Mina," Sasuke starts off, "Yeah?" I answer him. "Remember that new justu we learned a couple weeks ago?" I nod, "Yeah, why?" I asked bluntly. "We're going to have to use it in order to take him down, just wait for my signal." Sasuke says before he sprits off towards Orochimaru.
"Now Mina!" Sasuke yells as he quickly jumps away. I quickly sign the hand signs to the justu and call out, "Katon: Haisekishou!" I inhale deeply before blowing out a thick cover of ash. "Katon: Haisekishou!" I hear Sasuke call out and then the cover of ash ignites and explodes.
"If that didn't get him then I don't know what would." I say, landing on the ground and standing before a burned Orochimaru. "Yeah." Sasuke says tiredly. That justu takes a lot of of both of us, I don't really understand why he would want to use it but, I guess at a time like this it was called for.
We both stare at the unmoving body for a moment before, Sakura's voice comes yelling through the woods, "Are you two okay?" She asked. I turn to her and nod but something out the corner of my vision causes me to freeze. 'Please tell me he did not just move...please...please.' I slowly turn around to see Orochimaru standing, his face half burned off reveling his true form. "I must hand it to you two, that was really impressive." He says his voice going in and out of his lady tone.
"Both of you shall be an excellent choice, too bad I can only choose only one of you though." He cooed and then stretches his neck over too me. I try to move but I couldn't, it was like I had been frozen in place.
"No!" Sasuke yells out, "Don't hurt her..." Orochimaru stops momentarily and looks at me and the Sasuke as if he was choosing. He then fast as lighting bite Sasuke on the neck making him scream out in pain.
When he's finish he then starts to vanish into the trees, "I'll be seeing you soon, Sasuke." He cooed.
When I could finally feel my limbs I run over to Sasuke, his antagonizing screams making my heart break with each one. Dropping down to my knees, I pull him in closer to me. "Why did you do that for me..." I whisper lowly to him. "You didn't have too do that..." I feel the tears fill the brims of my eyes. "This is all my fault...damn it Sasuke, always trying to be the hero. You're always protecting me, and when it's my turn to protect you...I'm totally worthless..."
A/N: TADAAAAAA! Thought I was gone huh? Well nope! IM HERE TO ACTUALLY FINISH THIS STORY, EVEN IF IT KILLS ME! Which this chapter almost did...literally and figuratively. So now I have a few questions to ask of you my viewers! The first one is, would you like to see more Mina/Naruto or No you do not want any of it? Because that scene up there was kind of random...I should have not been trying to watch the notebook and type this at the same time. And last question, if you like I could put a justu dictionary down here as well, you know because I assume that most of you can't read Japanese but, hey if you can you must be pretty freaking talented. I've been trying to learn for 5 freaking years and I can still only say two words.-_-' But yeah it will tell you the name of the justu in English and a slight description and what not...so yet just let me know on those k?
