I really torture you guys with the slow updates dont I? I'm real sorry about that. I forget I need to post up chapters.
- Xavier's P.O.V-
I was going to kill her.
I'd been two weeks since I'd confessed and she'd been avoiding being alone with me. Or more specifically, not in the same room as me unless physically impossible. As soon as she'd see me she'd let out a squeak of surprise and scurry away before I could even get a word out.
I was soon regretting even had told her in the first place, but i probably would have regretted never had told her.
I walked down one of the many hallways of the Tokyo branch of on my way to my office. i was in charge of financial area of the business and id been slacking off: resulting in a rather large pile of work. I ran a hand through my hair in frustration of both situations.
Hearing a small noise, i looked up; already knowing who it was. Usagi was turning on her heel and booking it down the hall away from me.
Oh no you don't!
I thought, runnning along after her.
If i wern't so upset, i probably would have laughed at the scene we made. The CEO running away screaming from the president, teetering impressively in heels.
I took off my suit jacket and used it as a makeshift lasso to hook onto usagi and pushed her in with me into an elevator, pressing the button to close the doors before she could flee.
Usagi was gong to talk to me, one way or another.
Usagi's POV:
Xavier's jacket looped around my waist, snaring me into a surprisingly tight hold and i was pushed into the elevator: closing me in with him.
Xavier grinned triumphantly, i simply stared at him before pressing the button to the nearest floor.
He simply pressed the button again to deactivate it.
"Stop it and let me get off. I have a meeting to go to."
I said rather annoyed, pressing the button once more.
He pushed the button yet again.
We continued pushing the same button on and off and arguing before i began blocking his hands and hitting random buttons.
"Stop!"
"No."
"You're a grown ass man, quit acting like a child!"
"However true that may be, I think ill pass on your suggestion."
"Xavier!"
Sounds of struggle turning into shouts could be heard as we battled over dominion over the elevator buttons. They glowed a vivid orange and the doors opened and closed. By this point we'd spent a good solid ten minutes fighting and quite a crowd of suited onlookers had gathered outside.
"StoOOP IT!"
"YOU STOP IT!"
"NO YOU!"
We bickered like children fighting over the last chicken nugget in the box.
"I'll stop if you agree to hold a civilized conversation with me!"
Xavier bartered.
Huffing, i nodded in agreement. I knew that if this continued, we could go on until the sun rose or one of us passed out.
I walked to the nearest meeting room and sat down, Xavier followed suit and sat across me.
He proceeded to remove anything within a two meter range from me, knowing that there was a probabily they could become projectiles aimed at his head.
Sitting back down, he began the conversation.
"Why have you been avoiding me? And dont try to deny it because you have avoided being in the same room with me unless impossible."
I pressed my lips shut, not finding a way to deny it and not trusting myself with what could come out of my mouth. I was tempted to try and make a run for it but i knew i had to deal with this situation sooner or later. That and Xavier had already blocked the exit.
"Look, to be honest, I have no idea how to respond to your ah, confession-'
I began.
"But even if i did i am still your boss, regardless of the status of our private relationship. I failed to realize this and we are now behind on tasks we have to work together on.'
I paused, deciding as to how to continue.
"I understand thst you're upset at my exchange with Mamoru but that is my personal life long before you or everyone else came along and i want you to respect that. My past with him is a long and complicated one that i cannot forget. And getting in a relationship with a friend and coworker is messy But fuck it, lets go on a date."
I frowned.
"I was not planning on saying that last part."
but i went unheard since Xavier had already run out of the room to god knows where.
I rubbed my forehead, muttering a string of curses and ignoring the feeling that this was going to end in disaster.
A strange beeping began from my purse. Shuffling through it, I pulled out my comunicator. It seemed that my job as Sailor Scout hd not ceased.
It also seemed that the Demon was in the building. Almost as if on cue, Screaming could be heard from a lower floor.
Muttering yet another curse, i began my way downstairs.
Let me tell you that AP classes are rather easy.
Let me also tell you that im probably going to regret that sentence in a few months time.
