A/N: I'm getting slower at making these. I am sorry.
GAT-X105VividPanzer: Yep, they found new allies and possible information.
Rena Bodewig: Well the two siblings were reunited so it's kind of like a family reunion. The situation didn't call for her to be all cuddly and stuff.
yurista2014: It might happen.
Dash24zappshift: You and I have the same taste in guns. I will never forget how good Nico's cooking looks. You'll find out everything about the scientists soon.
p: Most of the Muse's family is already dead thanks to the outbreak.
Kei woke up as he heard footsteps in the halls beyond the door. He sat up and looked around, still a little bit sleepy. Once he figured out where he was, he stood up and looked at where the other two were supposed to be. Unfortunately, Silver and Marcos weren't there and their futons were already fixed at one side of the room. "Did I wake up late again?" He muttered to himself before standing up and fixed his futon, placing it beside the other futons. He crouched down to get his bat before heading to the door. He opened it to reveal no one was there. He walked down to the hall and down the stairs and into the kitchen… to reveal the two siblings, Sen and the twins.
"Huh? Where's everybody else?" Kei asked as he looked at them.
"Probably still asleep." Silver replied. "It's quite early in the morning."
Kei groaned. "I thought everyone was awake by now." He admitted. "I heard a lot of footsteps out the door."
"We're sorry." Oka said. "Our room was just in front of yours and we scrambled out." She admitted before standing up and bowing down.
"Ah, no, it's alright." Kei said and Oka sat down again. "Waking up early is better than waking up late." He said. "So, uh, were you guys discussing something before I came?"
"Nope. We were just enjoying our morning coffee." Sen said before gesturing him to sit down. "You want one?"
"No thank you. I lean more to drinking chocolate milk instead of coffee every morning." Kei replied a little embarrassed about that fact. As far as he knew, drinking chocolate milk was considered… well, childish so he doesn't go around saying it. He sat down beside Silver.
"Do we have chocolate milk in the fridge?" Sen asked as she looked at her other companions.
"Yeah, we do." Roy said before standing up and headed for the refrigerator where he took out the plastic container of the chocolate milk. "Here 'ya go kid." He said as he gave Kei the container and a glass.
"Thanks." Kei said with a smile before pouring the content of the container in the glass.
"It's such a relaxing morning isn't it?" Asahina said.
"Yes it is." Sen replied with a small nod. "I don't think it will last though. We all know how many people were added to our little group." She said before drinking her coffee.
"I don't think we're that loud." Silver pointed out.
"Good morning guys!" Honoka shouted as she entered the kitchen which made almost everyone there flinch.
Sen looked at Silver with an 'I told you so' look on her face and Silver just replied back with a sigh. Honoka looked at Sen then Silver then back at the former. "Did something happen?"
"It's nothing Honoka-san." Kei said. "Did the others wake up already?" He asked.
Honoka shook her head. "Some of them are still asleep and I expected the others to be here."
"Maybe they're outside. We do have a fence separating the zombies from us." Asahina said.
"I suppose the fact that some are still sleeping is not a surprise." Sen said. "From what I heard, you guys earn a break. Sleeping in right now is completely understandable."
"But Sen, don't we need to get supplies?" Oka asked.
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that." Sen said as she was reminded of the fact that they needed to replenish their supplies because of their unexpected additions to the group. "We can always get it ourselves right?"
"No, we cannot." Raven said as he emerged from the hallway. "They said that they'll take care of themselves so let them."
Sen looked at Raven. "But they're just ki-"
She was cut off by the door to the living room opening loudly. They all looked out and saw Marcos, Eri, Nozomi and Nico, all of them have bags… bags that have something in it.
"What took you all so long?" Silver asked as he looked at the group. The others looked shocked except Asahina. "You were beginning to make me and my sister think the you all are dead."
"There were some… unexpected encounters which are not welcome." Marcos said.
"Let's drop this off first." Eri said and the other three nodded and they headed to the kitchen.
"Wait, where did you guys go?" Sen asked. "And how did you guys go out without any of us knowing?"
"We'll explain everything after we put these down." Eri said and they put it down on the counter.
They all sat down again. "Well you see, Nico told us that you were running out of supplies and she noticed this while she was cooking with Silver and Wakamoto-san." Eri started. "Marcos came to me and Nozomi last night and told us that we should do something about it. That's when we devised a plan to get something. We already knew where we would go and we all agreed to leave early in the morning."
"We planned for nobody to know but when we snuck out, Silver and Asahina-san caught us. We explained what we were doing and they told us that we can go." Marcos continued. Sen looked at Asahina to back this up and she nodded. "So we went out and headed for the closest market. We encountered a lot of zombies and tried avoiding them. We got into the market with ease and got what we needed."
"That's where the problem happened." Nozomi said. "Remember that time when a horde came into the mall?" She asked Honoka and Silver and they both nodded. "It happened again. We escaped but the horde was hot on our heels. We needed shelter from them and Nico dashed ahead to scout for anything."
"I found an open window from one of the houses I dashed by so I went on and tried to get up there." Nico continued. I managed to signal them to come there. I open the door in the nick of time and we had to stay there for quite some time."
"You should've seen Nico-chi get in." Nozomi said before looking at Nico teasingly. "She was like a monkey."
"Nozomi!" Nico exclaimed and then tried to hide her blush from the rest of them to which everyone laughed.
Sen looked back at Raven. "They're more capable than I think but that doesn't mean that their weapons will protect them forever." She continued before looking back at the other group. "Feel like shooting?"
"We should wake up the rest then." Marcos said.
"A-Are you sure w-we should be handling… these weapons?" Honoka asked nervously as the whole armory was revealed to them. An APC sat in the garage, an APC full of weaponry. It ranged from sniper rifles to machine guns to pistols. Some of the guns were displayed in front of the APC and the rest are inside.
Sen nodded. "If you want to protect yourself, you must learn how to shoot." She said with a smile.
Kei stepped forward and took two M16s. "Maki, catch." He said, throwing the second gun towards his red headed friend who caught it. "You know how to shoot that right?"
"Did you think my performance back in the police station was a fluke?" Maki asked as she held on the gun.
Kei chuckled. "Of course not." He looked at the others. "How about you?"
"I already have this." Honoka said, taking out the Desert Eagle she got from her pocket.
Asahina stepped forward and held her hand out. Honoka placed the pistol on her hand and the she began to examine it. "Hm… a Desert Eagle… it's in pretty good shape. I think I have some spare magazines in the APC for it." She said before handing it back to the ginger haired girl. "Good choice but do you know how to use it properly?"
"Honestly… no. I haven't used it yet because it would attract lots of zombies." Honoka explained to her.
Asahina smiled before going to the APC and climbing in. She came out with a tube in hand before taking the Desert Eagle and fitting it in. "Here you go, a silencer. Now it won't be as noisy." She said with a smile before handing her the magazines as well.
"Thank you!" Honoka said.
"Now…" The silvery blonde haired woman looked at the others. "Since you guys don't know much about guns, I'll just have to give it to you." She dove in again and out she came with two AK-103s. She handed one to Eri and then Silver. The two examine it while Asahina went in again. She emerged with two Colt 1911s and she hands them to Hanayo. "Dual wielding pistols are effective Koizumi-san." She said and Hanayo nodded. "As for Hoshizora-san and Toujou-san…" She dove in the APC again.
"What do you think she's gonna give us nya~" Rin asked Nozomi who just shrugged.
"Something that would give you an advantage I suppose." Silver said as he turned around and aimed the gun. The safety was still on so it was safe. "She won't let you have anything that might blow you away with a shot." He put the gun down. "But I'm no gun expert. As you can see, I'm more of a traditional type of person."
"Found it!" Asahina exclaimed from inside the APC. She got out with two FN P90s. She handed them two the two girls. She looked at Nico, Kotori and Umi. "Hm… I wonder…" She dove back into the APC determined to find something for the three. She came back with three FLGs in hand. "Here you go." She said as she handed them out.
"No thank you." Umi said. "I can manage with only my bow."
"Me too." Marcos said. "I think it's better for us to stick with our bows and arrows instead of switching to guns."
Asahina nodded. "Good point."
"What about us?" Yukiho asked.
"Don't we get any?" Arisa continued.
"That depends…" Asahina said as she looked over the two girls. She then went in the APC and came out with pistols. "I'm sure you'll be fine using these." She said, giving them to Yukiho, Arisa and Yuki.
"Thanks!" All three of them said.
Sen smiled. "Now… let's train you how to use 'em."
"Well practice turned out to be quite an experience." Silver admitted with a chuckle as he put his gun's safety on.
"Indeed it was." Asahina nodded. "A lot of them were too inexperienced with guns that it turned out to be quite fun."
"By fun, you mean them almost causing the weapons to break, then I suppose it is." Kei said.
The girls did not quite understand the force of the guns they were holding. The recoil seemed to be too much for the first timers and they either dropped it or almost fired at their instructor. It took about an hour or so to get them used to the recoil and another hour for them to aim perfectly… or as perfect as first timers could go. They spent hours trying on endurance training too. The girls didn't have such a hard time thanks to their training as school idols.
"Well now that you guys are prepped and ready to go, you have to form a three man group. Oka, Roy and Aki here will help you gather more supplies." Sen said. "They'll show you where we scavenge and maybe you can pick up some skills too."
"We're gathering supplies aren't we?" Eri said as she turned to her group. "Nozomi, Nico, Marcos and I have already gone out earlier this day so we need some others." She turned to the two red heads. "Kei, Maki, you two have the most experience with a gun so can I count on you to get some supplies?"
"Sure." Kei said with a shrug.
"Of course." Maki said with a nod. "Who will be the other one?"
"That will be Silver here. Surely he can carry a lot more than all of us considering his build." The blonde said as she pointed at the silver haired man.
Silver chuckled. "So basically, I'm a pack mule? Good enough." He said before getting his sword and attaching it to the side of his pants and then grabbing his gun.
"Since you all seem ready, go on." Sen said and the six nodded. "Oh and Oka, I expect you to be a good leader." She said and the blue haired woman nodded enthusiastically.
"Well, let's see here… um…" Oka began to ponder on what to say which caused her twin to chuckle.
"Please excuse her behavior. This is her first time being the leader of the group and we have newbies too." Roy explained.
"Then please, don't be nervous Oka-san." Kei said.
Oka looked at her brother as he whispered something to her and then nodded. She took a deep breath. "Well basically what we're doing is what we call 'The Hunt'." Oka explained. "It's because we usually keep a look out for things that would be useful. We don't just get food supplies; we get clothing and other necessities."
"So we break in some houses as well." Roy continued before pointing at one traditional house. He smiled. "This will be easy." He said before gesturing all of them to follow his lead as he made his way to the front of the house. He pulled out a pin and inserted it in the lock.
"A lockpicker?" Maki asked.
Aki nodded. "Whenever we go out, we always have one person who knows how to pick locks. Those are Roy, Hazama and Sen." She said. "It's better than firing guns at the doorknob and risk getting swarmed by zombies right?"
"You have a good point there." Kei said. "Sadly, I don't think any of us know how to pick any locks."
"Then you'll just have to train for it." Roy said before an audible click was heard. "We're in." He said before opening the door and proceeding in carefully.
"Silver, Kei, Maki, you three check upstairs. We're going to scour down here. Tell me if you found anything alright?" Oka ordered and the three nodded.
Kei sighed once they reached the top. He and Maki had their guns ready in case of a surprise attack. "What do you think would be valuable in any room besides clothing?" Kei asked before signaling Maki to cover the other side.
"No clue." Silver said before sliding the door open and immediately taking a step back. Maki and Kei surveyed the room.
"All clear." Maki said before proceeding in. "I guess anything would be good." She said before opening the closet to find it completely empty. "Huh? There's nothing here."
"Nothing here either." Kei said as he pushed back the last drawer.
"It's like they evacuated or something." Silver muttered as he closed the other closet. "Let's check the other rooms."
All the other rooms were empty and the last room they had to go in was the Master Bedroom. They repeated their entrance and found two dead bodies on the bed, both shot in the head.
"What the hell?" Kei muttered as they entered and he looked at the bodies. They looked so peaceful in their sleep… their eternal slumber. "How'd they die?"
"Are they dead?" Silver asked before cautiously approaching the two dead bodies before poking one with his sword. "Yeah, they're dead." He said before reaching out to the head and turning it revealing the blood soaked pillows.
Maki walked over to Silver's side. "The blood is fresh. They were just killed recently." She said as she touched the pillow. It was still wet and the stench finally caught up to them.
"Then that would explain the emptiness here." Kei said. "It was already raided."
Silver looked back at the door before looking back to his comrades. "Something is wrong." He said.
Maki looked at him, confused at first before catching up. "You're right. The door was locked when we came in and everything was in its proper position. Nothing was broken so that means that the killer was inside this household from the start."
"Then what about the missing things?" Kei asked. "This place is empty."
"These people might have moved their belongings to a basement or attic or something to hide it from others. This must be their last day here in the house." Silver replied.
"And since the blood is fresh…" Maki started.
"Then the killer must still be in the house." Kei concluded. The two nodded as the red haired boy finished his sentence. They immediately had their guns ready for any surprise attack.
"We need to warn the others." Silver said.
"Right." The two red heads replied before they made their way to the hallway, still on high alert.
They continued their way down the hallway then to the stairs. There was an eerie silence covering the whole building. There was no scuffling, muffled talks or footsteps besides their own. All three teens were getting a very bad feeling with this. Once they were down, they went for the kitchen first. There was no sign of the others nor are there any signs that anything has been moved. They moved on to the other rooms to find no sign of the other three. Where did they go? Was the killer still inside or were they abandoned?
The group of three continued to search the house. The only room left was the storage room. If they weren't here, they decided to immediately head back to where the others are. Maki opened the door to reveal a very dark room. You couldn't see anything inside if you didn't have a flashlight but lucky for them, the switch wasn't far from the door. The red haired female reached for the switch and turned the lights on.
They were not met by a friendly sight. Before them were two figures, mangled and beyond recognition. The only things that they could make out from the bodies were that they had blue hair and they wore the same thing Oka and Roy did. Maki and Kei covered their mouths to keep the bile from coming out.
"Who would do such a thing?" Maki asked as she took some steps back and her back pressed against the cool wall.
Silver walked towards the two and then got a good look of their faces. Yes, those two were indeed their new companions. "I don't know." He replied. "But whoever did this was the killer of those two people upstairs."
"This is sick." Kei said. "Not even years of being inside a hospital would get you used to that." He muttered.
Maki managed to recover from the shock and stepped forward until she was beside Kei at the door. "Wait, if the Wakamoto twins are dead then… where's the other one?"
Silver shrugged. "He must have escaped."
"Oh my…" An oddly familiar voice said from behind the two red heads. "It seems that my masterpiece has been seen when it is still not complete." The owner was definitely masculine. None of the three turned around as they felt that they had two guns pointed at them. "Then I guess you all should be part of it then!"
The guns pointed at Kei and Maki were fired and a 'thud' could be heard from inside the house followed by a heavier one caused by the fall of the guns.
