I'm SO SO SO SO SO SORRY. I'm such a douche. I can't believe it's been three months since my last update.

My laziness is out of control.

Anyways, please continue downwards for unlucky chapter 13.

Nightingale-Chapter 13

Raven-Powerful Thoughts

I was absolutely fine. I have no idea why Robin wouldn't let me-

"Ah." I winced, putting a hand on my head. It felt like a truck had slammed into it. I could feel it pulse, and I layed my head back down on the hospital pillow. Robin said he would call when he had the situation at the Tower under control.

An attack on the tower...Another one. The memory of the last one was still echoing in my mind.

Again, I went over the facts in my head. Her dark aura, her noticable secrets, her fiery anger, her lack of respect for authority, not to mention all the other little faults in her heroism. Simply put, she screamed villain.

She was missing. I didn't know what to think. Maybe she fled the city, or was the one who plotted the attack.

But, Robin did say that he knew her back in Gotham.

It was Robin. If he said he knew her, I had to trust him-

Of course, he's lied before. Another thing to take into account. But, Robin had such a strong sense of justice. Would he really invite a bad guy into the Tower?

No. He wouldn't stoop so low.

I thought less and less, and slipped into a dream.

...

I was being shaken. Not too hard, but I could feel someone rocking my arms back and forth. I opened my eyes, and saw Starfire hovering over me.

"Oh, Raven! You have awoken!" She smiled, and I winced at her loud voice.

"Not so loud, Star," Cyborg said, "She's got a bad concussion."

"How long until I can leave?" I asked, sitting up.

"The doctor said a week." Robin said, sitting in a chair next to the bed.

"A week?!" I asked, wincing. Cyborg pushed me back down.

"Yes. And you can't do anything straining for a month after that."

"Great." I said, in my normal monotone. I looked around, and saw only three Titans, "Where's Beast Boy?"

They looked at each other, and then back to me.

"He's not dead, is he?!" I asked, my eyes wide.

"No, no, no!" Cyborg said, "He's in another room in the hospital."

"So, what happened?"

"Beast Boy has been hurt very badly." Starfire said, in a hushed voice.

"What is that supposed to mean?" I sat up.

"He's in a coma," Robin said, quickly. Seeing my expression, he continued, "The doctors think that he'll wake up soon, but it's not a hundred percent."

"Let me help. I can try to heal him-"

"No Raven. We won't take that risk. No using your powers. Not for a few weeks."

"But I'll be fine!"

Cyborg shook his head, saying, "You need to rest. No straining anything."

I sighed, and tried to change the subject. I couldn't help thinking about him. Trapped in sleep, in darkness.

"When did he go under?" I asked.

"At the Tower. We just thought he was unconscious. That he'd wake up. But he didn't.." Robin said, grimly.

"Then we rushed him to the hospital." Cyborg sighed, and leaned against the wall.

"Everything just great. The Tower's trashed, two titans are in the hospital, Ace is still missing." When the latter was said, I felt Starfire's emotions flame up. I looked over at her, and saw her glaring at the floor.

Isn't she friends with Ace? Why is she so mad?

If Star wasn't a Titan, and more importantly, a friend, I would've looked for the answer inside her head. But, I wouldn't spy on her thoughts.

But, if it could help with my case against Ace...

I sat back, and quickly peered inside her head.

Nightingale-Powerful Thoughts

Well, that wasn't the greatest idea.

After I hadn't given him the information he desired, Slade called in fifty robots to "escort" me to my room. Finally, after a whole lot of punching a kicking, they got a hold of my arms and legs. I was restrained, for the moment, and they pulled me out into the hall.

My elbow came out, and I pushed back the one holding my right arm. I freed my left leg, and kicked off a few heads. I stomped off the two clinging to my right leg, and with my free hand, punched another.

Long story short, I fought, got out, and then was tackled to the ground by a group of reinforcements. As I was struggling for breath under the pile of orange and black metal, I felt a sharp prick on my shoulder.

I quickly stopped fighting, and my limbs went numb. My vision blacked out, but my ears functioned.

Paralysed, I heard shuffling, clanking, and shifting, before a door opened. There was a 'thud' and then the door closed, and I was alone.

I counted the minutes in my head, trying to go under. Sleep wouldn't come, so I organized my thoughts.

This is insane. Who knows how long until feeling comes back to my limbs, and it'll be longer for my sight. It's irritating as hell, not being able to move. Of course, this isn't the first time...But right now, there are more important things to think about.

How could I be so mental as to follow this pyschopath down here?! What the fuck was going through my head?!

Probably: OH! This looks stupid! I should go for it!

Stupid. Stupid! STUPID!

Raven-Powerful Thoughts

So, Starfire's mind was a dead end. All I found out was that Star was, as I already knew, madly in love with Robin. Her anger was directed at Ace. But only because she thought that Robin was falling for Alissa.

I shouldn't have looked in the first place; it wasn't right. I never knew Star could be so jealous, though.

Love triangles are never good things. Maybe this will help me down the road.

I looked up, and noticed that Robin was talking to someone on his communicator.

"Who's that?" I asked, sitting up.

Robin closed his communicator, and walked over to the bed, "You know Kid Flash and Jinx?"

"Yes," I answered. Kid Flash was an honorary Titan with super speed. Jinx was a young witch who recently turned to heroism.

"Well, I asked them to go search for Alissa, since we have to stay here with you and Beast Boy. Kid just called in."

"And?"

"They've found Slade's hideout. It's more than possible she's there."
