Hey guys! It's been a while since I have updated, and I just wanted to apologize for that. I have been getting a lot of reviews about my last comment, and I just want you to know that I am THE BIGGEST PERCABETH SHIPPER! I would never break them apart, and I may or may not have said that just to mess with you! There is only going to be 1 chapter left and an epilogue. For a while I know a lot of you thought that this story would never get anywhere, but the next chapter will be very, very, exciting! The end is near and it's bittersweet, but I have an awesome new story idea that we be up almost immediatly after the epilogue! No hints but there will be a summary in the authors notes of the epilogue! So without any more blabbering from me I give you the fourteenth chapter of Assassin Lover!

Disclaimer: I don't own the percy jackson series nor are any of the characters mine. They belong to Rick! The only thing I own is the plot line to this here story I am writing right now.

Luke Castellton

Today is depressing. The streets of Manhattan are littered with puddles, and the taxis are forced to drive through them, splashing the pedestrians trying to hail a cab in this bustling city. The wind is blowing, making the falling rain land right in your face, and finding it's way into the holes of your clothing.

A perfect day to solve a case.

As my office finally comes into view, I jog up to it, eager to get out of this terrible weather.

If the weather outside is depressing, then Titans private investigators is downright suicidal. What once used to be a flourishing newspaper company, is now a sad old office, for shady people to get information on even shadier people.

I hang my fedora and trench coat in the hook in the front entrance, to see Drew my receptionist of the month. It's getting harder and harder to find a good receptionist, who wants crummy pay, and is willing to work long hours. Looks are a bonus, and Drew certainly has them. And today she certainly doesn't disappoint.

"Hello mr. Castellaton, can I get you anything today?" Drew smiles seductively.

I roll my eyes, and walk past her into my office. After moving away a bunch of files and random papers, I find my computer, and open it.

Although you may not believe it, the dinky office that I work in is a branch of the FBI. I am head of this branch, and it is my duty to oversee all of the cases in my area. Over the past five years, I have been trying to catch an assassin.

Though this person is unlike any of the criminals that I have ever seen. He, or at least I think it's a he, doesn't mess up. Not a single clue left to track him. All I know is that there is always a bullet between the centre of his victims eyes, and the bullet is etched with a P.

So the person I am trying to catch is called pee. Not very intimidating.

But today I am feeling lucky. Because when you are that good at your job, you have to slip up at some point. I have gotten a new victim, and after removing the bullet, I have proof that P is behind it.

The victim was found in the back alleyway of Front and Yorkton street. (A/N: I have no idea if those are actual streets in New York, I am not really familiar with the sketchy part of New York.) I asked the owner of the store if he saw anything out of the ordinary, but he just said the he heard a gun shot, ran out of his store, and by the time he got there, there was a man lying dead on the ground, a bullet in between his eyes.

Not a single finger print, not a single hair was left at the scene of the crime. Nothing was traceable.

So I continue doing what I have been doing everyday for the past five years. I stare at the files of all of the victims, hoping something will jump out at me, that I haven't seen in the past five years. But it's no use. I could recite every single word in those files backwards, I have looked over them so much.

After a couple hours, Drew knocks on my office door, then after a few seconds later when I don't answer, she opens it herself, holding a BLT sandwich and an espresso.

I grab the espresso from her hand, and drink it in a single gulp. Almost immediately I feel myself waking up.

"Feeling better mr. Castelton?" Drew asks, giving me a flirtatious grin.

I sigh, inwardly.

"Drew how many times do you have to tell you, you can call me Luke it's fine."

Drew begins to lean in closer,

"I'm so sorry ... Luke."

What happened next was to be expected. I closed the gap between me and Drew, and kissed her roughly. She gasps, but then smiles, and while never removing her mouth from mine, grabs the handle of the door and slams it shut.

I pull away for a moment and smile mischievously, and pull her close to me again, and you can use your imagination as to what happens next.

Hours ago Drew and I had our fun, but she is currently sleeping on the couch in my office. I am fine with having a romantic one night stand with her every once in a while, but I actually do need an assistant, and I don't think that she is up to the job. Time to find a new one.

But now, I have to solve an impossible case.

I look over the police file of the last victim. The last name isn't the same as any other victims, and there are no physical similarities, so I doubt that this person is going after a family. So what is their deal?

I scan over the records and files, until I stumble upon the surveillance of the general store near the scene of the crime. I can't pull it up on my computer, but I bet if I get to the store they will give me the camera footage. I push my office chair away from my desk, making it crash into the couch where Drew is sleeping. She groans and her eyes flutter open.

"Where are you going Lukey?" She asks batting her eyelashes.

I roll my eyes, putting on my ray bans.

"To solve an impossible case," I say, then after a moments pause I add, "and that's mr. Castelton to you."

With that I slam the door to my office shut and drive to the general store.

The footage was fairly easy to get a hold of. At first the owner was hesitant to give it to me, but all I had to do was flash a badge, and he was handing it over, with a free package of outdated mints.

As soon as the disc is in my hand I practically speed back to my office. Unfortunately the traffic in New York is terrible and what should be a five minute drive turns into a forty five minute drive. I contemplate stopping at the nearest library and uploading the disc in a public computer, but this stuff is very confidential, and because of that I patiently wait in my car, fidgeting in my spot all the way.

By the time I pull up to my parking space, I am bouncing out of my seat with excitement, and practically jump out of the car.

Today will be the day I solve the case that has been on my mind for a while.

Drew is just getting out of my office when I returned, so I pushed her out and slammed the door, ignoring the screams and threats to quit from behind the closed door.

I pop the disc into my iMac and for the next two and a half hours watch all of the security footage during the time of the crime. Just as I am about to give up, I see a tall hooded figure jump down from above. He, or at least I think that it is a he, follows the target that has now come into view, and silently follows, like a lion stalking it's prey.

I watch transfixed, waiting for just a glimpse of the assassins face. Then for just a second, his face turns and looks directly at the camera. I let out a loud yell of joy. I pause the frame, and run it through the computers at the headquarters in Washington. Within minutes I have a name.

Percy Jackson.

I read his file, and smile, as all the pieces fall into place. At age eighteen he was charged for murder of his step dad. Other minor charges for theft, and assault, are also on his file. His mom is in the crazy home, for thinking her son is innocent. Well that woman's son is a lot of things, but innocent is not one of them.

I notify the headquarters, I have found are assassin, and I am coming for him.

Percy Jackson won't know what hit him.

So guys did you like that chapter? That was the fourteenth chapter, I hope you liked it! Thank you to all who have liked, favourited, reviewed, and viewed! It means so much to me, and I am so happy that you enjoyed my story! So bye, and have a nice day!
