Danny was sitting at his desk at FentonWorks, looking at the crafted mask as he tapped his finger on it. It seems he was right, the chest, the mask, and the inscriptions that he had found had all came from Japan, hundreds if not thousands of years ago. However, he still didn't know how in the world it got from his planet to Korriban. The objects were at the movement onboard the Foundry within his quarters while another copy was looking over them.
He could tell that the objects were covered with some sort of energy, some sort of power unlike Ecto-plasma and the Force, but what was it. His study of the objects with the Force hadn't proved anything or gave anything to light.
Perhaps I am looking too much into this, but still the power within this mask is interesting. He shrugged as he looked at the mask again. Well, there is one thing I could do and since nothing else is working… Sighing since he really didn't want to do this, Danny sat down in a lotus position with the mask in front of him. Concentrating only on his breathing, Danny felt the Force guide him into the mask where he felt a dark, but powerful presence.
Suddenly he opened his eyes and found himself somewhere that was not the Ghost Zone or any planet he had been on as yet. It was completely a dark multitude of purples, violets and blacks. These colors twirled and shifted randomly throughout its infinite expanse and from what Danny could sense from his senses and the Force, this place went on forever without an exit or a change in scenery…
Wait a minutes, this can't…be…can it? He thought as he immediately activated his Copy eyes and looked around. …It is…
"I'm in the Shadow Realm!" He yelled in shock. He had heard about this pocket dimension from many of the older Ghosts and many on his council as well. Every one of them believed that it was rumors, legends… Well, it isn't as lifeless as they believe. He thought as he could sense and feel the Shadow creatures all over the place. However, there was a presence that was far more ancient and far more powerful and that was where his sight was heading towards.
In the center or close to it of this realm, in stories and legends is a palace. A palace of darkness and it would seem that the legends are true for with his Copy Eyes, Danny could easily see the palace of ancient Japanese architecture made out of pure shadows and darkness, but it would seem that this palace was not without a ruler…Interesting, Danny thought as he quickly used his enhanced speed and soared towards the palace itself.
Where an army of training outside the palace, while most of the palace was silence and shadows both pure and ethereal, the throne room was not. Within that throne room, upon a throne made for a Japanese emperor of old, a blue skinned woman is sitting. Her posture is that of an empress attending her court. Her hair is that of a Yuki-Onna, smooth and black while her body holds the same aura that could lure men to their deaths in the cold. So this is the Jade Empress, time to make myself known,
Jade suddenly opened her eyes in shock. She had been disturbed from her meditation. She had felt…a pulse? No, whatever had disturbed her was not just a pulse…It was far stronger and from what she could tell was coming right towards her.
She stood up quickly and at a speed unbecoming of royalty, but she didn't care. Nothing disturbed her from meditation. This place is desolated, aside from the creatures of darkness here and there and those that were intelligent of her army. She turned her head this time. She had felt it again, a tingle in her spine and Goosebumps along her skin. This must be…the willies…and whoever was causing it was still coming towards her…
A dark Sorcerer perhaps, the power she was sensing would match that, but the personality of that power was completely off. Immediately, the doors opened and her most trusted Commander, Phoenix, ran in.
"Your Highness, a man is coming towards the palace. His power is…extremely high. Many of the young ones are becoming worried. What are your orders?"
"Let him come in. Someone this powerful doesn't just find himself into the Shadow Realm without a purpose. Who knows, this…man…might be exactly what we need in order to escape," Jade said as she turned and looked down from the windows of her throne room. She could see the man in the distance and for some reason her willies weren't acting up as they were. Let's see what you have to say,
When Danny arrived at the palace, he was surprised to find a welcoming party of several blue skinned Ninjas and a few Samurai, all of them clad in black and Danny would easily feel their power and was highly interested in it since it would be close to his own Skeleton Army.
"Welcome, young one. I am Commander Phoenix, leader of the Shadowkhan Battalions and I will give you only one warning. Do not try anything or it will end badly for you…"
"Greetings, Commander Phoenix. I am Lord Phantasm. Lord of the New Sith. Am I wrong to assume that your queen wishes to meet with me? Otherwise I would be dead…or at the very least in a lot of pain," Lord Phantasm said as the Shadowkhan chuckled.
"You would be right, Lord Phantasm. Her highness, Yu, the Jade Empress, wishes to see you at once. Come with us," Phoenix said as Lord Phantasm nodded. He could sense the Spirits of the Sith Lords in the necklace around him. He would need all of their help to convince the Queen of all Shadowkhan to join forces with his Empire since her strength and their strength were unparalleled and unmatched.
As Danny followed Commander Phoenix he could see that the two Samurai in the back, guarding their rear, were really there to make sure that he if tried anything, it would be difficult to escape. Smirking a little, he always wanted to try his negotiations skills, not that it would be too difficult since he knew that Jade wants out of this place.
The Jade Empress was sitting on her throne when Danny walked in with the Shadowkhan escorts. She didn't seem to acknowledge him as he came closer to the throne chair. Step by step he traveled silently as if on air with his eyes on her, not shocked by the blue skin or the emotionless red eyes. Finally he stopped two meters from her as she waited for some as if waiting for him to ask a question.
"I sense that you have questions. As do I. Shall we take turns? My first question is where are we? What is this place?" Lord Phantasm asked as a smile appeared on Jade's face.
"That is agreeable, but I'll do first. May you tell me what date this is?"
"Why would you want to know something as pointless as that," Lord Phantasm asked with arched an eye-brow. Jade let out a laugh,
"I've just been here for so long I was curious," She said. 'Sealed by those she trusted. It has indeed been a long time since they not only sealed her into another dimension, but into the past as well. It has been centuries for her' One of the Sith Lords said to Danny via the necklace, but low enough that only Danny heard it. "Then begin to study the seal keeping her in this place," Danny whispered back.
"To answer your previous question, you are in the Shadow Realm." Her last two words were spoken with a hint of finality. Lord Phantasm just smiled at that answer, he had expected it, but it was better to hear it.
"So this is the Shadow Realm, spoken about in legends and stories. This is the different dimension that connects to every shadow within the Human and Ghost Zones." Lord Phantasm said with a smirk.
"Ah, so you know the stories of this Realm. Correct you are, but how you came to be here I am unsure but you will first tell me how you came here, then I'll send you back," Jade said.
"Of course, but first to answer your question, the date is September 5 2004 and how I got here was purely by chance. While researching the ruins of Sith Lords that have long passed this mortal plane, I sensed a power far beyond them and found a chest of ancient Japanese original. Within was a Mask," Lord Phantasm said as Jade's eyes went wide.
"My study of both the chest and the Mask finally forced me to use my abilities of the Force and my own Ghost Powers to enter the Mask and into this realm." Lord Phantasm finished seeing the look on Jade's face. It was one of shock.
"You were human once, weren't you?" He asked cautiously as the Jade Empress looked at him shocked. Growling a little like a cat, she quickly turned to face him more than willing to attack him, but he was just looking at her, not reacting at all…
"You can't hide what you are, no matter how deeply you bury it. Not from me at least," He said simply and easily.
"…Yes, I was. I was and I was full of promise once…but now…" She stopped sadly with some tears in her eyes and sadness in her voice.
"You still are. Your strength is impressive, your army is impressive. Your skills are impressive. It doesn't matter if you are a demon, human or something else" Lord Phantasm said with a smile on his face much to the shock of Jade.
"I have heard hundreds of stories, legends, rumors, everything about the fame Shadowkhan and their Queen. A Queen so mighty and powerful that she had to be sealed," Lord Phantasm said as the Jade Empress sneered at her.
"Yet…here we are. A powerful Demon and a powerful Ghost who has the combined power and knowledge of all the Sith Lords that came before standing in front of the other. I can willingly disconnect myself from the mask, but you. You can't leave this realm…"
"Your point" Jade asked as Lord Phantasm smiled.
"A creature as powerful and as graceful as yourself shouldn't be sealed, I can free you. While we have been speaking, I have been looking at the Seal keeping you here. It would only take me a few days to undo it."
"And then what? Am I correct to assume that you would want something from me, from my army, to be…?"
"No," Lord Phantasm yelled silencing her completely, "No, your highness, I will do that for free, but if you are offering…" He said with a smile as Jade frowned at him until he continued…
"These Chi spells you know of, I am interested in learning if you are willing to teach after I free you" Lord Phantasm said as Jade arched an eye-brow at him.
"You are interested in learning chi spells, Demon chi spells and shadow chi spells?" Jade asked shocked as Lord Phantasm just chuckled.
"Do not act so surprised, your highness. We are very similar in our want to learn whatever we can. I am not just going to depend on one thing. I will be damned if I am going to only relying on my Ghost abilities and the Force. While powerful allies both are, I have faced countless entities that relied only on one power and defeated them all!" Lord Phantasm said as the spirits of the Sith all nodded their heads, but continued to say that Danny had to play this perfectly in order for his plan to have the Jade Empress join the New sith Empire as a Lady of the New Sith work,
"I am not going to be that weak. I am not just going to keep to what I am good at. I am going to branch out and that means learning everything I can from those that are wishing to teach it." Lord Phantasm said with his arms crossed. Jade smiled at that while sitting on her throne.
"Lord Phantasm, I am beginning to like you. If you can get me out of here, then I'll teach you everything that I know and even give you command of my army for if you can survive my training, you, your Kingdom and your New sith Empire would have proven to me that they are worthy. Shall we begin?" She asked and Lord Phantasm ever so nodded.
For all of those that are confused or do not like that I am adding in the Shadowkhan, deal with it. They will be used many times from now one as the finite army of the New sith Empire and I love the Dark Jade stories and feel that the Shadowkhan truly didn't get their chance to shine in the show. So here we are, let the Shadowkhan fanboys and fangirls unite!
