Just a quick update I am re-writing and fixing the first 13 chapters
The early morning sun rose from the never ending horizon of planet Dawn, magnificent orange sky light up the morning dew and creature resembling birds took their early morning flight. It would be a peaceful scene if part of the orange glow did not emit from the burning metal debris breaking through the clouds. One after another burning balls of metal parts fell from the heavens, denting the earth below. All of the clouds scattered and revealed a massive object speeding towards the already damaged earth, fire rained down from the object - igniting the ground below. Fireworks of explosions rippled the earth as smaller parts hit the ground first, the giant metal object also made noise in what can be described as a plane engine soaring through the sky.
The object eventually met the ground in a fiery display of orange and red, metal dragging through the dirt until it slowed down to a full stop. fire continued to rain, smaller ships descended from the sky following the massive debris to it's final resting place. Red and blue lights flickered between the smaller ships around the debris field, massive trails of smoke rose to the point where most of the smaller crafts were engulfed in black. The once calm and peaceful landscape had been turned into a fiery, chaotic mess of metal and destruction.
Over a few mountains from the crash sight a gathering of people flooded the many higher balcony's of different buildings. What started off as a peaceful morning was interrupted by violent shakes in the earth, first being disregarded as a small tremor. However that theory was quickly proven false by the fire and smoke raining down over the horizon. The people of New Dawn looked out in fascination, curiosity and distress towards the many explosions that were heard from far away. The people of New Dawn chatted amongst themselves about what they were witnessing, many handheld devices had been activated and while some talked into them, others took pictures of the scene.
New Dawn was one of the first planet colonization missions managed and funded by Weyland Industries. It is home to almost 5000 people - including children, although this number might seem small in comparison, all these people has a job to do with the success of this community, proving that colonization on other planets is possible and successful. The project to colonize other planets is still a new and very expensive project but so far Weyland Industries has been very successful, just over the past year four colonization projects where approved - including New Dawn. Three of the four projects have produced great results. The projects also received major funds from the citizens of earth, ever since Aliens had been discovered many people became fearful and realized just how small the galaxy can be. So naturally planetary colonization was discussed and Weyland Industries stepped forward.
In the lower parts of the colony alarms and voices rang out, people moved with purpose towards the many land based excavation vehicles, they were especially made for the mostly flat land that occupied about sixty percent of the planet. The colony was walled to contain and protect those within it, so giant gates had to be opened to let people in and out. As the Last of the gates opened, vehicles sped out the colony with sirens and flashing blue and red lights. They had no idea how much danger they were potentially in ...
Fire's continued to roar on what little stable structure remained of the Vallhala, most of it still held together but still lost parts while falling through the atmosphere. The smaller ships above moved in random patterns trying to see as much as they can.
Through the chaos, movement began to stir in-between the wrecks and cracks from the downed ship. Black figure ran away from the fire and out into the open, with all the smoke and fire it was easy to miss these moving figures. Screeches and hissing easily misplaced in a sea of sounds, some of the sounds got overwhelmed by the fire and consumed the unlucky figures that could not escape. One figure leapt through a large crack in what remained of the ship, the figure was in lighter shade compared to the rest of the figures. This figure landed on a large protruding pipe, slowly lifting his head he gazed far into the distance, as far as the eye could see. Rising to full height, in one smooth motion he let out a screech-like roar that almost overpowered the fire and into the distance ...
