(A/N: I love every single review I get, but 'me being me', you've made my day. You should really get an account, I would love to talk to you. But thanks everybody! If something confuses you, just tell me, I've probably made some... Okay a lot of mistakes.)
"Gakupo?" Len stared at Gakupo, incredulously. His long, purple tresses were gone. He seemed naked without them. Gakupo raised his head just a bit to look at Len through his bangs, before he dropped his head. "Gakupo?" Len repeated, getting up from the bottom bunk. He moved to touch Gakupo's shoulder, but the elder moved away.
"I'm so sorry, Len."
Len's forehead wrinkled. "What happened?" His hair... It was so short. Was he apologizing for getting a hair cut? But his face, it looked so depressed.
"I don't deserve you." Gakupo quietly said, once again moving away from Len when he tried to touch him. "You look a bit better though." Gakupo smiled faintly, though it didn't reach his eyes.
"They doped me up on happy pills. What's up with you?"
Gakupo sat down. "I'm really sorry, Len. I'm such an idiot." Gakupo looked up at him, and Len was surprised to see tears in his eyes.
"What did you do?" Len asked, horrified. Gakupo wouldn't cry, unless something was really wrong. "What's going on?"
"I betted myself. In a game. I lost."
Len sat next to him, and when Gakupo tried to turn away from him, Len took his arm. "Gakupo what does that mean?" Betted himself? As in he was somebody's now?
"Leon owns me now. And by extension, he owned you."
"Owned? As in past tense?"
There was a long, heavy pause before Gakupo spoke again. "He gave you to the Shions, along with Oliver." Gakupo looked at him with sad eyes.
The sadness in his eyes did nothing to placate Len's anger. "You idiot!"
Gakupo stared at him, in shock, when he got up. "Len? I-"
Then Len did something he never thought he would be capable of doing. He slapped Gakupo. Len froze, shocked that he had done that.
Gakupo seemed just as startled. He touched his cheek. "You hit me." He didn't seem angry, if anything he seemed even sadder. "I wasn't thinking."
"Don't even talk to me!" Len shouted, climbing up the ladder to his bed. "I hate you." He growled, getting under the covers.
"Len, please. I-I..." Gakupo trailed off.
"Leave me alone. I'm going to sleep." Len angrily wiped away the tears that ran down his face. How could Gakupo do that to him? All he really wanted to do was curl up next to Gakupo, but he was so angry that he stayed up in his bed. "You look stupid with short hair." Len mumbled, wanting to hurt Gakupo as much as he had hurt him. Though, admittedly, he wasn't the best with insults.
"I know." Gakupo's tone wasn't angry, it was still sad. Len hated hearing him like that.
"Makes you look like even more of an old pervert."
When Gakupo didn't respond, Len slid down the ladder. Gakupo stared at him from where he was on his bed.
"Get angry! Do something!"
"What?"
And Len couldn't take it anymore, he hopped right next to Gakupo. "Get angry with me!" Those sapphire eyes were still so dark from sadness. "I hate seeing you like this." Len finally admitted, cuddling up close to Gakupo. "Stop being sad."
Gakupo put his arms around him. "I'm not sad, just disappointed with myself."
"Well stop it!" Len began to cry. "It hurts to see you like this." He managed to blubber.
Gakupo kissed the top of his head. "I'm sorry that I'm upsetting you."
Len touched Gakupo's hair." Your hair isn't stupid."
"I know."
And it just made Len cry harder to hear just a bit of Gakupo's old bravado creep into his voice.
