,Lightening pierced through the canopy of the purple clouds overhead. The rumbling thunder filled the air. The wind howled, the atmosphere was tense; as if waiting for a spark to ignite it, to let it burn and cackle... Dark shadows lurked between the trees, hungry gazes searching for prey... A purple speck grew larger and larger as Ino's cloud descended from the stormy sky, the three witches standing resolutely on it. And their Prince Charming of course. Deeply engrossed in his orange book. The four stepped off and their eyes swept slowly, warily across the dark trees swaying in the strong winds. "Ino, are you sure they are here?" Sakura asked, emerald eyes taking in the surroundings. "Yea, i'm su-" Suddenly a dark shape shot out of the trees as fast as the lightening in the sky, slamming into Ino, knocking her to the ground. Barely had the other two registered the attack, that two more shapes hurtled into them, one pining Sakura to a broad tree and Hinata to the ground. Prince Charming merely stood there, looking up for barely a fraction of a second from his book. A jolt of lightening flashed in the sky, lighting up the forest and in that moment Sakura recognised her attacker. "S-Sasuke?" She whispered, bring up her hand against his stone-cold cheek. Sasuke had changed so much...transformed into something inhumane and utterly terrifying with chalk white skin and dilated, vacant pupils... Sakura let a surge of energy escape her body; an invisible force knocking away Sasuke. At the same time she let her energy lash out against the other two's attacker, and the Ino and Hinata were instantly by her side. They watched in horror as their attackers came forward; Sasuke, Naruto, Shikamaru... All monsters with vacant expressions and slowly extending canines... "No..." Ino whispered. "Oh no, Ino darling..." A raspy voice came out from the darkness.."You should be happy, infact yup should be grateful." Branches and vines came from behind the tree, seizing them, wrapping them against the broad trunk. "Karin." Sasuke said viciously. "Not happy to see me, Sakura?" The red haired vampire stepped out of the shadows, fangs glinting even in the dark. The rain had stopped, leaving behind an eerie silence, filled only with the slight rustling of leaves as Karin advanced towards her victims. "Why, I am really disappointed in you." Karin mused, moving between the boys, stopping next to Sasuke, patting his cheek, "I found your little..play things...lost in the forest and decided to...keep them safe for you. Of course I made a few modifications. I really do think it's for the best." "Get away from him." Sakura said through gritted teeth. "Or else?" Karin smiled, revealing the sharp tips of her fangs, "Sakura, haven't you noticed this time things are different...I have my tools and yup can't harm me." "They are not your tools!" Ino barked. Karin shifted her attention towards the blonde who was straining against the vines. "No?" She asked softly. "Let's see, shall we?" Karin snapped her fingers and the vines slithered away, releasing the witches. A sudden gust of cold wind indicated that Karin had left, but something seized Hinata and threw her onto the ground a few feet away. "Hinata!" Ino cried stepping towards here, but someone yanked her long blonde air, pulling her back. A fist connected with her chin, sending her flying into a tree. Sakura attempted to unleash her energy, but something hard slammed into her back, knocking the wind out of her. As she struggled to get her breath back, a cold hand gripped the back of her neck., lifting her cleanly off the ground. She slammed her elbow into het attacker's stomach and the grip loosened momentarily, allowing Sakura to yank away from the grip. She stumbled forward, leaning against a huge stone for support. She turned to face the monster, and suddenly he was right there in front of her, hands on both sides. "Sasuke?" Sakura whispered, tears welling up in her eyes, "Sasuke, it's me? Don't you remember?" There was a sudden, loud gasp from above her. But she couldn't look away from the empty holes that had replaced Sasuke's beautiful, onyx eyes. "So you have feelings for my vampires?..." Karin's voice cut through her. "Your...vampires?" She choked out. "Yes..mine." Sasuke stepped away, and Karin came in his place. "You see, newly turned vampires only obeys their master...and since I turned them..." Karin stepped closer, and whispered in her ear, "they are mine." She stepped away, a triumphant grin spreading across her face. "They're lost to you, but you still can't harm them can you? Silly little feelings..." She barked out a laugh, as tears freely began flowing down Sakura's cheeks. "The possibilities this little twist has brought up..." Suddenly Karin was on one of the branches of a tree. "Come along boys...we will come back after a while.." Obediently, the three boys turned away. "No!" Ino protested loudly, grasping Shikamaru's arm tightly. "Shika, don't you remember me?" She pleaded, but Shikamaru merely shrugged her off, and was gone in a flash. Karin had left. So had the boys.
