"Onii-chan! Onii-chan! Natsume onii-chan!"

The voice of his rang, rang and rangthroughout the house. Natsume groaned when he heard her frantic footsteps come closer, closer and closer to his room—

"Natsume!" Aoi Hyuuga cried, as she opened his door.

Dammit. He knew he should have bought a lock.

Natsume was on his bed, and he did not respond to his little sister's noisy entrance into his room. He hoped that if he stayed silent, and did not move, she would take a hint and leave him alone.

Of course, being his little sister, she did exactly the opposite: Aoi jumped on his bed, right beside him.

"Oi!" Natsume snapped, pulling up his head up to glare at his giggling sixteen-year old sister.

"You should have answered me the first time, God." She laughed, as she placed her bare feet on his back. She knew that annoyed him, and took small pleasure in seeing him squirm. She felt victorious when he finally pulled himself completely up, sitting down beside her with a scowl.

"What, Aoi? What do you want?"

"Sheesh stop growling!" Aoi snorted, before stepped off the bed. Now standing, she twirled around, her dress billowing around her. She looked expectedly at her older brother. "Well? What do you think of this dress?"

Natsume frowned. "Aoi, it's winter. That's a summer dress." Suddenly, he felt worried. "Wait. Why? What are you going to do with that dress on?"

Aoi coyly grinned. "Youichi is taking me out again!" Aoi did not hide her glee.

Youichi Hijiri. Natsume used to tutor the boy in mathematics, all throughout high school. He liked the kid – he was smart, and listened to what Natsume had said. He seemed to understand his sense of humour, and appreciated that Natsume took two hours of his time tutoring him calculus every week. He liked the kid. So when Youichi asked Natsume for girl advice, he tried his very best to pass on the very little knowledge he had about girls. Little did he know, the pretty girl Youichi had a crush on was his little sister.

He liked the kid, he really did. Now, well, he felt cheated.

And fucking pissed off to think that Youichi would probably have to teach him how to have sex, which he had with his sister.

"You look stupid. You're going to freeze to death. It's December, idiot."

"Oh come on, Natsume!" Aoi laughed. "Lighten up!" Suddenly, she looked worried. "Wait. You're not still angry about that little incident last week… are you? Please don't tell mum and dad—"

How did he know his little student and his sister were banging? He had a found a condom in his little sister's possession.

"—I mean, I am sixteen! It's legal and—"

"You should stop barging into my room and putting your disgusting feet on me then. Stop annoying me."

Aoi smiled. She knew her brother would never rat her out anyway. He loved her too much for that. "Anyway. What do you really think about this dress?"

He glanced at his sister again.

"I mean, imagine someone you fancied in it. What would you think about it then?"

Natsume thought of Mikan. Groaning, he fell onto the bed in defeat.

The girl he liked rejected him. His younger sister had had sex before him. He was alone, sulking in his room on his Christmas holiday. Mikan told him they should be friends.

Aoi took the hint. Sighing, she sat beside her hopeless brother on his bed. "You're silly, Natsume."

"I don't want to hear that from you, stup—"

"We all know what happened you know." Aoi said. "You're not as mysterious as you think you are. You're actually quite transparent. We all know you've been moping in your room for the past few days because of a girl."

Natsume reacted immediately, "What—"

"Please, Natsume. Mum sniffed it out the day you came home, and me the day after. It took dad a little longer, but he sees it now. You're so obvious."

"What the hell—"

"Shhh." Aoi patted her older brother. "It's okay."

Natsume didn't say anything.

Aoi sighed. "You know, you can speak to me about this…?" she tentatively suggested, worried he might strengthen his guard. When he stayed silent, she offered, "Or mum. I mean, mum might grill you but she knows what she's talking about." Silence. "Or dad. I mean dad's—"

"Not dad."

Aoi laughed. "Okay, fine. Not daddy. But me…? Maybe?"

"… I really liked this girl. I really like this girl. But she isn't interested."

Aoi nodded, understanding. "I see." The tone of finality in his voice made it clear that he wasn't going to say anything more about the subject. If anything, Aoi was just happy that he had confirmed their family's suspicion that Natsume was indeed sulking about a girl at university.

"Don't worry." She patted her older brother more firmly. "You'll get over it, sooner or later."

"Let's hope it's sooner rather than later."

"That bad, huh?"

Natsume shrugged. Natsume's shrug usually meant a nod on the scale of normal human action.

"Look at the bright side! This is probably good for your ego!"

Natsume clearly did not appreciate this joke, which only made Aoi laugh harder. "I'm sorry, onii-chan." Once her laugh stopped, in a more serious tone she said, "Anyone who can't see how amazing you are doesn't deserve you, Natsume. Simple as that. You're a big softie and sentimental, and I think that's rare in guys these days. All they do is talk about this chick, or that and how they are going to get fuccckkkeed—" Natsume squawked (what kind of guys did Aoi hang out with?!), "and so guys like you are special. And you don't even know it. But I guess that's what makes you even more great."

Natsume only had one thing to say: "Youichi better be a big softie and sentimental, and not talk about chicks and getting fucked."

Aoi threw her head back. "Please, Natsume. I have excellent taste in men. I mean, come on, my first crush was Luca. No-one gets nicer than that."

And that was true. Because Luca liked everyone. Except Hitler, of course.
