Alright, first of all, again, i'm really sorry for the 100th time. But i do have a reason this time.
For some time now, i've been very depressed, i've actually had suicidal thoughts. None of my family and friends with the exception of my best friend know about this so i wanted to vent through here, because nobody knows who i really am.
Work has been so bad for me lately and i am exhausted and sad constantly, i'm extremely stressed and i have just been crying a lot so i have felt absolutely no desire to write since it would have probably ended up as some angsty shit of a chapter.
I'm now a little better, so i'm going to try to write this chapter and hopefully it won't end up ruining the whole story.
Let me reassure those who like this story. won't discontinue it. i will keep writing until i have gone through to the point the show ends(which hopefully is never) i will not upload chapters for any of my stories often, but i will try to do so. I hope you all will be satisfied with this...?
Also, hope you all enjoy the add to the ending ;)
TheRageOfTheSea
Eveline yawned cutely and stretched out her body in a very cat like manner, her spine cracking as she did so. Feeling the pressure leaving from her back she sighed in content.
It had been no more than two days since the attack on Monroe and already the Blutbad looked like nothing had ever happened. The beauty of being a Wesen, they healed a lot faster than humans. Of course it helped that Eveline had insisted on making some ointment for him, one of the ones she had seen Arthur do when she had been younger but she added bone dust from her own sabers.
Who knew Mauvais dentes sabers could be used as a medicine? Only themselves. It wouldn't do that a Hexenbiest found out about that...
Currently, Eveline was sitting in Monroe's kitchen, watching Nick who had come over just a little while ago. The man was clearly stressed and anxious about something. Not only could she see it, she could most definitely smell it.
Monroe and her exchanged looks. Whatever got the Grimm in this mood couldn't be good...
"You sure you don't wanna a latte?" Monroe asked, preparing their drinks.
Eveline sipped hers. purring in content as the warm liquid pooled pleasantly in her stomach.
"Yeah, black's good."
"Alright, if you say so..."
Monroe looked to Nick after he gave him his coffee. "You look sorta uncomfortable, this isn't something you actually want to talk about, is it?"
Nick glanced between the two Wesen, shifting slightly on his legs, looking very uncomfortable." Well, my aunt, before she died told me I should break up with Juliette."
Eveline snapped her head up, as she had previously been focusing on her drink and stared at Nick. "What...?"
"Shouldn't we be talking about this over a couple of beers at midnight?" Monroe commented, sending a small concerned look at the Mauvais Dentes in his kitchen.
" I want to tell her." When Nick said that, it send cold shivers down her back. Please, for the love of anything holy, please say he wasn't talking about...
"Tell her what?" Monroe asked, not getting the same foreboding feeling as Eveline.
" What I can You know, how I can see. Blutbads and Siegbarstes and Hexenbiests and Mauvais Dentes..." Nick told them, motioning with his hand that was holding his coffee cup.
Eveline's eyes flashed yellow.
No. That was not going to happen. She had worked too hard to keep her secret from her family, to keep them safe. Nick was not about to ruin that.
"Okay, okay, okay. I see where you're going with this. Now I definitely could use that beer."
Monroe turned to the counter and Nick was right behind him. "Look, it's gotten too dangerous for Juliette. She has no idea what I'm dealing with. And that other night, when I got attacked in my house She could have been killed."
That was true, but Nick didn't seem to realise that her knowing about them, brought even bigger danger to her sister.
And how would she react when her sister had kept such a thing from her? That her sister, wasn't a human to begin with...?
"Have you not considered how you're going to do this?" Monroe asked him. Turning to face the Grimm.
"Well, I was hoping you could give me some advice."
Monroe gave a sarcastic scoff and Eveline gave a short, dark laugh.
" I mean, haven't you ever had to explain who you are to anyone? "
"You mean, like, a normal person? No. There's no good outcome to that. Either they believe you and think they're crazy or, far more likely, they don't believe you and they think you're crazy. Either way, it puts a strain on a relationship." Monroe answered to him.
"not to mention there's always someone who wants to kill the 'demons'." Eveline commented.
"Well, I have to tell her something. You know, I can't jeopardize her like this." Nick said, the volume of his voice picking up a little.
"Maybe that's why your aunt told you what you have to do." Monroe commented.
"Look, isn't there a way that you could You know, Blutbad for her? Or Evie, can't you show her what you are?" Nick pleaded.
Monroe put his hand up . " Okay. Just hold it. Given the right circumstances, you know Like, in the heat of the moment kind of thing We can be seen if we want to be , by the way, accounts for a great many of your would have gotten away with a lot more bad behavior if it wasn't for guys like you Grimms who can see us when we don't want to be seen." He explained.
"Okay. So, I could bring her over here, and you could, you know, just a little bit." He was starting to sound hopeful, which made Eveline swallow.
"No, no, no, no, no. The vast majority of humans just can't process that kind of information. They can believe in all kinds of stuff. You know, gods, for example. Angels and demons and dinosaurs and the Big Bang Theory and E equals MC squared, man.
But that's only because it's not right in front of them. They're not looking directly into the boiling core of the raw universe. So, you know, confronted with that kind of reality A lot of brains just turn to mush."
"Not to mention, how do you think Julez is going to react when she finds out what her sister has been keeping from her? " She scoffed. "Nothing like telling your sister that you are a man eating monster that can disguise themselves as humans..."
"So, what am I supposed to do?" Nick asked them, getting frustrated.
"Like I'm one to give advice. Come on. Even a normal relationship baffles me." Monroe said back, shrugging his shoulders.
"well, i don't know about that..." Eveline purred, fluttering her eyelashes at him, causing the Blutbad to almost choke on his coffee he was taking a sip from, a blush painting his face.
Nick phone decided to start ringing at that moment. He answered and after a series of grunts and questions he shut the phone. "There's a body of a boy, i need to go."
He didn't even wait for them to answer before leaving.
"Well," Eveline drawled, "That was rude."
"Agreed..." Monroe frowned and took another sip from his coffee.
"So... About that 'relationships baffles me... Want some more.. hands-on approach..?"
Eveline smiled deviously when the poor Blutbad began coughing harshly, some coffee spraying from his mouth.
Oh she was going to enjoy this...
Eveline was at work when she got a call from Nick.
" Hey. What are you doing for dinner?"
She blinked. "Something tells me going for a quick bite to eat with my sisters boyfriend..? ... No wait, that sounds wrong..." She slapped her forehead. "It sounded so wrong, ignore i said that.."
"Alright, ask Monroe if we could go to his place?"
"You kidding me? I'm thinking he's going to go ballistic over the idea!"
"Okay. Meet me there in an hour, and call Monroe okay?"
"Sure, fine with me. See ya soon."
"Bye."
The conversation ended and Eveline was quick to call Monroe.
"Hey Monroe, it's me. Nick's wondering if you want to host a dinner for us? You get a chance to poison him!" She cheerfully added.
"E-Evie? Al-Alright, see you soon."
Eveline ended the call and stood to put on her coat.
Sometimes... She just wished the Wesen in Portland would keep their shit together for more than a week. It was getting pathetic.
" Well, there was a heart, kidney, liver, gall bladders A lot of blood being transported when he got hit. Driver had a fake ID. We can't identify him. The only thing I know is he was a Geier. I saw him right before he died." Nick explained to them.
"...What's my favorite color?" Monroe suddenly asked.
"...What?"
" You know, you never ask me about anything else. Like sports or music or who the hottest Bond babe was. You know, like normal conversation? I'm just saying. It would be nice to switch it up once in awhile, you know?" Monroe continued and Eveline had to cover her mouth to hide her shit-eating grin.
This was going to be funny, she just knew it.
"Well What's your favorite color?"
The look Monroe gave him almost cause her to crack up. It was like witnessing an old married couple arguing. she could actually imagine it.
"You don't ask about my day anymore!"
"Well, how was your day, sweetie?"
"Oh you don't mean that! You never do! You don't take me out anymore, or even look at me when we make love! It's that new secretary of your isn't it! Oh! I knew that hussy was after my man!"
"No no darling! I only have eyes for you!"
Eveline cackled, causing the two to look at her strangely.
"You don't mean that." Monroe said back to the Grimm, deciding it was better to ignore the female of their strange posse for now.
"No, really. I want to know." Nick insisted.
"Red."
"Well, I feel so much closer to you now."
"Fine.."
"Do you two need a moment alone?" Eveline raised a brow at them. "I feel like i'm getting between the two of you."
The two men exchanged a look between them, embarrassed after they thought back on what they had said. They sounded like a couple just now, hadn't they?
"Anyway, If there are organs involved, then most likely it was a Geier deal." Monroe continued, trying to change the subject out of their little 'domestic'.
"What do you mean, "deal"? " Nick asked.
" Geiers are like herbalists of the Wesen world. Just like Eastern medicine. some humans use exotic animal parts as Medicinal remedies and aphrodisiacs. They don't work, of course. Geiers use human parts for things like that." Eveline explained.
"Here's the thing. Human parts for creature enhancement? That actually works great." Monroe continued.
"You're serious." He asked them.
"Dead serious."
"Oh exotic animals are you." Monroe nodded to him, giving a small wave towards Nick with his fork before continuing shoveling the food in to his mouth.
"What, you're telling me that Geiers deal in human organs?" Nick was trying to wrap his head around the idea.
" Well Okay. This might be a little awkward. But, for example, you probably didn't know that your testicles I mean, not your testicles, specifically, but that part of the human male anatomy has a kind of a Viagra-like effect on certain species." Monroe explained then suddenly halted when he saw the amused expression on Eveline and the blank one on Nick.
"Not that I ever had need to I mean, everything works great." He stuttered.
"Oh, no. That wasn't awkward at all." Nick replied, sarcasm dripping from every word and he pushed his plate away.
Eveline snickered and took a sip from her drink.
"Okay, so, where would someone like you get something like that?" Nick leaned forward.
"Um There's a place that I've I've heard of. Not that I've ever, you know, been there. Or anything." He shot a nervous look at the very much amused Mauvais Dentes.
"Well then, we'll go shopping?" Eveline drawled sarcastically, eyes giving off a yellow glow.
Monroe and Eveline walked inside a Exotic Spice & Tea Shop together. Eveline hung around the door, acting impatient and moody, just like the two of them had decided while Monroe approached the man behind the counter.
"May I help you?" The man asked, eyes switching from Monroe to Eveline in suspicious manner.
"Uh, yeah. I'm here for the, um Catch of the day." Monroe told him.
"Got some ID? "
This was something only Wesen truly understood. If a human heard that they would try to give them their actual ID but a Wesen would woge. Easy way to tell apart human and Wesen. Especially since sometimes human hung around Wesen and caught that Wesen's scent on them making it more difficult for those Wesen that didn't have sensitive nose to tell if they were human.
Monroe woged first, followed by the man who turned out to be a Fuchsbau.
When the man was satisfied he smiled. " I haven't had a Blutbad in here in a long time."
"I haven't seen a Fuchsbau in a Waschbar's age, myself."
"And your friend?" He nodded towards Eveline who gave a slight growl and woged, startling the man and the two more dangerous Wesen could smell the fear from him in a instant.
"That's ah, my, um, friend. If you catch my drift." Monroe gave a wink.
"What are you looking for?"
"Um Maybe a little Gallenblase. It's fresh, isn't it? " Monroe added after he noticed the look the man gave.
The fox scoffed. " Gallenblase doesn't stay on the shelf long enough to get ounce or the six ounce?"
"Huh? Oh, it's really for a friend. So, I don't know. Um Six ounce?" Monroe shrugged.
The man clearly didn't belive him. " I'll be right out."
He went behind the shelves and that gave them a moment to look around.
"You want it gift wrapped?" The fox shouted back.
" ."
He soon came back with a bottle and handed it to Monroe. "If you're partial to mixing, I find that gall bladder flavor goes very well with the white tea."
"Just the powder, thanks." Monroe said.
"That will be $300." The man told them the total and Eveline couldn't help but to shake her head at the price. Thank god she wasn't in to this shit.
"Are you kidding me?" Monroe couldn't believe it either.
"You must not have bought some in awhile. The price has been going through the roof."
Monroe sighed and paid. Eveline purred loud enough for the two males to hear and approached Monroe, wrapping her arms around his neck and nibbling at his earlobe. "Are you done yet..? You promised me a fun night..." She hissed seductively, eyes flashing yellow.
"U-um... Bye..." Monroe told the fox and allowed Eveline to drag him out, leaving the amused shop owner watching as they went.
The two made a quick beeline for Nick who had been waiting for them.
"Thanks." Nick whispered as Monroe handed him the bag the Fuchsbau. had bagged their bottle in.
"You're not going to say that when you hear the price. $300."
"Are you kidding me?" Nick asked.
"That's exactly what I said" Monroe scoffed.
"How do you know you just didn't pay $300 for oregano?"
" I don't know." Monroe told him.
"Put it in some white tea and find out." Eveline added, a mischievous smile lit her face in a eery glow.
"I think I'll go with the crime lab."
"Chicken. By the way, he's a Fuchsbau. So, count your fingers after you shake hands." Monroe teased him.
"Right."
"Three hundred bucks?" Monroe clearly wasn't too happy loosing that much money.
" I'll owe you." Nick said, before he left, not giving Monroe a chance to say more.
So instead he turned to Eveline. "I'm never going to see that money again, am i?"
Eveline just patted his shoulder.
"Yeah, thoughts so..."
[Somewhere, in france]
A door banged opened and a beaten, horribly disfigured limping form of a female reaper shakily tried to come inside the room, where a group of other reapers lept to their feet to assist the female.
"La bête. la bête aux yeux jaunes!"[The beast, the beast with yellow eyes!] The poor woman sobbed, clinging to the closest of her kindred.
"Que voulez-vous dire? Qui vous a blessé?"[What do you mean? Who hurt you?] One of them asked.
"la bête envoie un message. La bête est sur une chasse pour ceux qui viendront après Grimm. La bête, la bête! Nous sommes tous condamnés!"[the beast sends a message. The beast is on a hunt for those who come after Grimm. The beast, the beast! We're all doomed!] The woman screamed in agony.
"la bête?"[The beast?] Yannick asked. What was going on?
"Mauvais dentes! La femelle Mauvais dentes! elle chasse nous tous vers le bas!"[The bad teeth! the female bad teeth! She will hunt all of us down! ] Finally, the woman could take anymore and collapsed. Only time could tell if she ever would fully heal.
A shudder ran though the reapers present. A mauvais dentes? Helping a Grimm?
Yannick felt dread fill him.
"le chasseur est en marche"
The hunter, was on the move.
