14. About Mother.

"When did you know that you loved Mama?" Sarada asked him one day.

She saw him intently trying to assert his answer and interpret it according. He didn't know how to answer that.

"There was not a moment" Sasuke replied after a minute thinking, "I've known your mother since I was an eight year old, but we did not really talk until later"

Even before the death of his family, he was not really interested in the children out of Clans, they weren't really useful to his own Clan so he was not obligated to relate with them, if they were from the Hyuuga or Yamanaka for example, maybe his father would have say something.

"Then we were assigned as a teammates, but I didn't paid attention to her…I was obsessed with the idea to revenge, so form bonds wasn't in my list of priorities" he paused debating with himself if he said more, at the end he bit the bullet, "I mistreated her, well them… I didn't really care about them, they were useful until I could reach another level, I though of them as tools"

Then he betrayed them, but maybe he would tell her about that part of that story later.

"It was after we won the war that I took time and really see" he mused, he hadn't thought deeply about it until the question, "I begun to notice the little tells and put an effort to return some, it was not love but it was a beginning"

He did not fell in love at first sight; he didn't even fall in love after Sakura risked her life for him. But it was then when their relationship started; he had allowed himself to care for others apart from his family. He tried to reciprocate; he saw an unconditional love that until that moment he has assumed was only a silly crush.

"She was patient even when I didn't deserve it" He finished a little awkward.

"Thank you, Papa" Sarada told him while hugging hard.

Sasuke didn't know if that was enough, that it was really what Sarada wanted to know when she asked him that. But is the only thing that he could offer her.

A/n: So...Sasuke is not good dealing with feelings. Let's hug him.
