Summary: The second adventure. A shooting star falls on Earth—except it's not just a star. What follows is a quest for discovery, for some things are not always what they appear to be.

WARNING: This chapter is weird, OOC, and probably very Sue-ish with backstory infodumping.

Stuff happens. Backstory is told. I struggle to keep a straight face while writing.

"Well, earning fifty thousand whole points is gonna be hard, but I hope we all make it into Battle Bladers!" Gingka and everyone else cheered and then headed their separate ways, each towards one of the many tournaments. Rina, however, was instead watching Madoka's shop for her while Madoka herself went off to one of the tournaments. Hikaru placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Why are you staying here when you could be out battling? Who knows, you might even find..." Rina quickly shook her head.

"I can't battle, not when I know I might lose control like that again. Madoka was right when she told me I was a threat to this team…" Rina suddenly switched moods, putting on a cheerful grin. "Besides, I don't even have a point counter, so what's the point?" Hikaru decided to let her be and go off for her own tournament. As soon as Hikaru had left, Rina looked around carefully, then flipped the shop sign to "closed" and set off after Gingka through a forest. Gingka was unprepared to be challenged by a crowd of point hunters. Gingka seemed to be handling the bladers with ease when an eagle swooped overhead, its call ringing through the forest. A blader leapt out of seemingly nowhere and also launched a Bey, defeating the rest of the bladers.

Rina decided to stay hidden and watch, hoping Gingka wouldn't notice her and send her back to the shop. Gingka protested to the mystery blader that he didn't need help, but the blader, named Tsubasa, revealed only being after the attackers' points. Tsubasa turned towards where Rina was unsuccessfully hiding behind a tree. Tsubasa took one look at her and had a brief display of shock, which was quickly covered up again by a blank expression.

Rina peeked out from behind the tree, curious. Gingka saw, and began to ask Rina why she was following him, giving Tsubasa a chance to get a better look at the strange girl. Rina hung her head, but luckily Gingka didn't ask her to go back to the shop and she didn't mention it.

"Anyways, I'd better be off before the tournament starts. I don't want to be late!" With that, Gingka walked off. Tsubasa looked at Rina and sighed.

"Rina, why are you here?" Rina looked baffled for a moment.

"Umm… I found this Bakugan that might help with your research… And a bunch of friends! Most of them have these special Bey thingies…" Rina began excitedly recounting her adventures with Gingka and his friends.

"Wait, slow down," Tsubasa interrupted. "You found a Bakugan… where?" Rina avoided meeting Tsubasa's eyes.

"Ummm..." Rina paused, searching for some answer in the clouds. I remember finding it in a bin… It said 'plot devices' on it… But the voice doesn't want me to tell anyone about that. "…Say, why don't you come back and meet all of these new friends I made! Please?" Tsubasa sighed, nodding and was not surprised to be hugged by a delighted Rina.

Meanwhile, Gingka was having a fairly easy time, breezing through the other bladers in hopes of receiving the prize, a large amount of points. That number was about half the amount needed to get into Battle Bladers, which was why so many bladers were determined to win. He had reached the final round, only to find that this blader, announced as Teru, was as determined to win as he was. Pegasus battled fiercely, but Virgo's defense proved difficult to get past.

"Pegasus, Starblast Attack!" Pegasus charged Virgo from above, but was again deflected. However, Virgo and its owner were beginning to falter. Pegasus mustered the strength for one last charge, and Gingka knew that unless this desperate attack could defeat Virgo… The two Beys collided and both stopped spinning. Gingka sighed in relief, while Teru seemed to be already pondering how Virgo could improve its defense. As it was a tie, the prize was split between them, and Gingka set off back for Madoka's shop, not expecting to find almost all of his friends back there.

Kyoya and Hikaru were ignoring each other. Benkei was giving Kenta an encouraging speech, Madoka was trying to tidy up the counter, Rina was running around the room, while Hyoma and Tsubasa just stood awkwardly and watched. When everyone realized that Gingka had walked in, most of them stopped talking. Or in Rina's case, stopped moving. Gingka idly wondered what Tsubasa was doing there, and explanations commenced.

"I needed to check on the shop." Madoka shot a sideways glance at Rina.

"I don't know, we all just felt like coming back here after we finished our tournaments." Kenta spoke for most of the others.

"I found my mom!" Everyone stared at Rina. She fidgeted. (Pfff… Bwahahahaha! Sorry… couldn't help myself. I'll just get on with the story now.)

"Okay then… Wait, what? Who?" Gingka said.

"There are some things we need to tell you…" Tsubasa sighed and looked pointedly at Rina. "I suppose we should reintroduce ourselves."

"No. With all due respect, they shouldn't even be involved in any of this!" Hikaru protested. Rina raised a hand to make a comment. Tsubasa fixed Hikaru with a focused stare.

"All of them are, in fact, very involved in this. Their Beys are unique in a way that cannot be replicated, and if they are going to help us we can't afford to hide any secrets." Hikaru caved, surprisingly, and agreed. She looked at Kyoya. Kyoya looked at Tsubasa. Rina blinked and looked between both of them.

"Well, who's going first?" Rina asked.

"If I must…" Hikaru grumbled, "I believe you all know about Sonell and her real form." Kyoya gave Hikaru the most venomous look he could muster.

"Talk about yourself, not me." Hikaru's smirk disappeared and she resumed speaking.

"…I, too, am disguised as to not attract attention. The disguise, a human female, is a quite demeaning experience for an ambassador such as myself. My name is Nubiasa." With that, Hikaru shimmered and her form was replaced with one unlike Sonell. Instead, Nubiasa had an elfish look, with jewel-like eyes and a small crescent on her forehead… or was it his? The now introduced Nubiasa gave a formal nod and chose to ignore the shocked stares.

"Overdramatic as usual," Kyoya remarked dryly. "And you're not an ambassador, so why did they send you here? Did they finally realize you were arresting innocents?" The last sentence was spoken in almost a hiss of spite. Nubiasa tried to object, but Tsubasa chose this point to step in.

"Please, save your bickering for later. I am not quite sure why Sonell is here, but Nubiasa and I came here for research. Strange things have been happening on both of our planets, and we think the answers may lie here. Earth once had creatures called Bakugan, and I am trying to find out why they no longer exist on your world."

"You three are… aliens?" Gingka asked, stunned. There were four nods in response.

"So if Hikaru is actually an ambassador, and Kyoya's also an alien, then who are you?" Madoka asked.

"Very important!" Rina added. More awkward stares. "What?" Tsubasa chose a simple introduction.

"I am a researcher. My name is Hatsubia, but you all may continue to call me Tsubasa. There have been many strange things happening on both Neathia and Gundalia," Tsubasa shot a look at Kyoya and Nubiasa, "And the solutions and answers lie here, within Earth's past."

Another lame ending is lame.
