Princess Luna has stayed at my house for two days. She arrived during the night two days ago, making it two nights that she has slept here. The last two nights, Princess Luna has slept in my bed. Her taking my bed wasn't an issue to me, of course, but the longer she stayed, the more anxious I got. The more questions she asked me, the more I felt the need to see my beloved.
After the talk with Luna yesterday, after her rather amusing reactions, it really seemed like she was warming up to me.
All throughout these talks, I just got more and more excited for the return of my precious Princess.
At this very moment, I was at home. It was the afternoon, after work, and I was on my computer once more. I haven't actually used it in a while. I guess I was just too down to do anything on it.
There wasn't anything new to be seen, which is something I should've expected. With nothing in particular standing out, I idly started a game up, particularly Assassin's Creed Black Flag. In all honesty, it was a random choice. I would've played anything at this point. Last time I tried playing, one of the missions bugged out, so I couldn't get 100% completion. I've gotten every single achievement on all previous Assassin's Creed games and I am not going to let a glitch stand in the way of my hunting.
As soon as I had gotten myself situated with the game, I could feel eyes staring at me, even with headphones blocking my hearing. I tilted my head back and stared at an upside-down Princess Luna.
"I'm not letting you play." I said to her, pushing my headphones back.
"This game certainly seems more realistic than the one you allowed my sister to play."
"Seems that way, huh? What ya up to?"
"I wished to speak to you again." she said.
"What's on your mind?" I asked, not moving from my position. I had expected many more questions than I have been asked so far.
"You've asked me questions that I could not answer, questions that I was unprepared for, now it is my turn. I know how much you value your relationship with my sister, but what if you grow apart instead of together?"
I turned my chair to her. "If I grew apart from Celestia..." I said to myself. Just saying the words brought me discomfort. "It would be hard, I know that. I've thought about it before. About what would happen if our relationship failed. I can't answer that, Luna. I wouldn't know what to do, really. It would mean that it really wasn't meant to be between us. I know that I can't keep her entertained forever. I have a few surprises up my sleeves, but some of them are risky and could break the relationship faster than it would fix it. That's just something that we'll deal with when the time comes. If there's nothing I can do, then I try not to think about it."
"This may not mean much, but I can offer some relief. My sister is undoubtedly in love with you. She wouldn't love somebody this much if she had no faith in them. Your relationship is one of her favorite kinds of relationships. If I may be so bold, I think that you are perfect for her."
I sat there in shock. Perfect for her? I mean, we're good together, but perfect?
"Perhaps perfect is not the right word. Nonetheless, your relationship is strong. I truly believe that it will remain strong. It shouldn't be long before my sister returns."
"That's good news."
She sighed. "It's been far too long since I've cleaned myself."
"Oh you'll be fine."
"To you it may not matter, but I haven't gone this long without bathing in a very long time. Perhaps I should relax myself again before I leave."
"Go right ahead. You know where I'll be."
She gave me a small laugh before turning for the stairs. Seconds after I looked back to my game, I heard a loud cry, followed by a thump, then a pained whine.
What the hell was... I looked back to the stairs. "Luna? You alright?"
"I... fell..." she said with groan, "My ankle... It hurts badly."
I got up and started up the stairs after her. She was sitting on a step, holding her foot with her hands, specifically her ankle.
"Are you... alright?" I asked again.
"I don't know. I'm not used to this body."
"Did... Did you... step on the side of your foot?"
She nodded. "How did you know? Is it significant?"
"You may have sprained your ankle. How badly does it hurt?"
She looked to her foot, letting go of it. It moved slightly, causing her to wince. "It hurts... enough..."
"Think you can stand?"
"I don't know." She gently placed it on a step, then lifted it back up. "It would hurt significantly."
"Alright... alright. Don't force yourself." I sighed. "Alright... How about... I pick you up and bring you upstairs? Maybe..."
"Please be careful."
She was more accepting of my idea than I thought she'd be.
I moved to the side of her and hooked my arms underneath her legs and behind her back. I stood up with her in my arms. She wrapped an arm around my shoulders, holding onto me.
Lifting her was like lifting a feather. She weighed almost nothing, especially compared to Celestia.
I moved sideways up the stairs, trying my best not to shift her around too much. She wore an unpleasant expression on her face.
She looked beautiful in my arms. I've never been this close to her face before. I could see that she had also struck her face, just below her right cheekbone.
I rounded the coffee table and lowered her to the couch, setting her legs on the table itself.
"Thank you, Phil." she said to me, "This is... strange. It's been a long time since I've hurt myself like this."
"It's usually not all that serious. You'll be fine after a few days. Gonna swell up though. I'll get you an ice pack. I recommend taking off your sock. Maybe the other for comparison to see if it's swelling."
"Right. Thank you."
I went into the bathroom to grab an instant ice pack from my cupboard, breaking the inner package and mixing the contents as I returned so it would cool down. To me, these things were pretty cool, pun not intended. I also grabbed a towel because ice and skin is not a pleasant feeling.
In addition to the ice pack, I also collected a small elastic ankle bandage. I don't even know if there was a name for it, but whatever it is called, it's amazing for sprained ankles. The elastic compresses the ankle and it usually eases the pain.
I returned to her to see that she still had one of her socks on. The foot that was hurt, I assume. Her hand was also placed against her chest, just underneath her right breast. She must really be beat up.
She noticed me looking at her. "It hurts too much when I try to remove it." she said.
"Alright... Should I give it a try?"
"Y-you?"
"If that's alright with you. If you think you can manage, then by all means, but we do need to check."
"It... I suppose it's alright if you do." She was embarrassed. Rightfully so, in my opinion. After all, we just met. Right now, it didn't matter.
I lowered myself to my knees, placing my hands on either side of her foot. I had to be careful. I knew how bad a sprained ankle felt. She struck me as someone much tougher than myself, but just taking off a sock proved to be too much for her. Maybe I overestimated her and Celestia.
It was already scrunched up around her ankle area, so I had to be even more careful about where I grabbed. I started to pull on two sides of it, widening it to slip around her heel.
She let out a pained cry and grabbed onto the couch.
"Sorry! Sorry." I briefly paused.
After a small struggle, I had gotten it around her heel. After this, it was a simple matter of pulling it away.
I could already see right now that her foot was swollen somewhat. I gingerly reached towards her bare foot.
"It doesn't... look that bad." I said, examining her, "Then again, I'm not a doctor."
"I have a great deal of medical experience, but I don't know anything about human anatomy. I feel sore."
"I imagine so. You were holding your chest a little while ago."
"I am not allowing you to examine my chest." she said, crossing her arms over her breasts and shifting away from me.
"And you got a bruise on your cheek, too." I said, ignoring her.
"This new body is difficult to control." she said, not wanting to admit her fault.
"Celestia was tripping all over the place the first few days she was here." I said.
"She tripped twice."
"How do you know that?"
"She told me."
"Ah. Fair enough." I looked back to her foot. "This... may hurt."
"Do what you must."
I gave her a light tap where her foot was red. She let out a whimper and pulled her foot slightly.
"Are you alright? How much did that hurt?" I asked.
"It... hurt. Six."
"Huh?"
"One to ten. Six. Maybe five."
"Alright. That's fine. It's normal."
I could hear a change in her voice. It seemed like she was starting to panic again. "You... You... You're still... What is it? D-do I offend? Is it too sweaty? I-I haven't cleaned myself in days! It's not my fault! Please let go of my foot!" she cried out.
I snapped my hand away from her. "Sorry, Luna."
She nodded, with the panicked expression still on her face. "No, I'm sorry. I do not particularly enjoy having my feet... my hooves... touched by... by... I apologize, it's my fault."
Brushing off her outburst, I handed the towel and ice pack to her and said, "I'm sure you know what these are for. And this..." I lifted the bandage. "This slips over your foot."
She took what I had and applied the ice pack to herself. "I hope you don't expect me to put this on right away." she said to me, the bandage still in one of her hands.
"You'll feel better in a little while."
She gave me a half-smile, then turned and laid on the couch, the ice pack lying on top of the towel on her foot.
"Oh, when I get back home..." she said with a sigh.
"Let me guess... You're going to take the longest, hottest bath in the whole world."
She smiled as she turned her head to look at me. "Something like that. I suppose I've enjoyed my time spent here. I can see why my sister prefers it here. In addition to the lack of responsibilities, you're always there for her."
"You really think that much of me?"
"I don't know exactly whether or not you're worthy of my sister, but you're certainly a step in the right direction."
"Thank you."
"Before anything happens, I have a favor that I would like to ask of you."
"That so?"
"Don't ask her to marry you."
"What?"
Her expression became more serious. "Do not propose to my sister."
"Knowing someone for a month isn't long enough to know if I really want to marry them. Just... the way things are going, you know?"
"I do understand. So understand me when I tell you to wait."
"Yeah... yeah, I understand. You know, if she actually accepted, I would be royalty."
"You certainly would."
"And you would have a new brother."
"Brother-in-law." she corrected me.
"So... she's never wed?"
"Not once. It's tragic, really. There were many factors that prevented weddings across the years. Political and personal matters... Usually, her relationships simply didn't last. What I said before, that I chased away some of them, I fear it may have been too effective. Soon, suitors stopped coming altogether. I suppose I am not the only one at fault, though. My sister did the same when she didn't like my... suitors. I suppose it could be seen as funny, in a way. We prevented each other from meeting anybody, even though we both desperately longed for companionship." She paused for a few moments, a surprised look on her face. "I did not mean to say that."
"So you're in the same boat as Celestia, huh?"
"I do not wish to talk about my personal life with you." she said to me.
I shrugged. Fair enough.
She sighed, then continued. "After a time, the cycle began anew. Over the years, many, many different ponies tried winning her heart... Our hearts. So..." She chuckled. "Yes, I was in the same boat as my sister, as you say. I suppose I am more willing to speak than I thought."
"Have... Have you ever gotten married?" I asked her.
"No." she solemnly stated, "No, I haven't."
"Wow... I'm surprised, more than anything. It could be like a simple courtroom wedding that takes like ten minutes and yet..."
She turned to her side, lifting herself and slapping a hand on the table. "The Princesses of Equestria will NOT have a 'courtroom wedding!'" she barked, angered by my words.
"Y-yeah... uh... Yeah... S-sorry..."
She glared at me for a short while longer before returning to her lying position in a huff. "We deserve more respect than that..."
There was a long pause between us before I spoke up. "You know, there was something that I was worried about. This... is also something you probably don't want to hear..." She grumbled. "But it was something that I noticed. While Celestia was here, her body didn't change at all. At least, it didn't change enough for me to notice. She was here for a full month and her body was exactly the same all the way through. And pardon my... my vulgarity, but I have looked. At one point or another, I've... I've seen her entire body. She didn't grow any body hair. At all. Even... her leg hair and her... Um... Her legs were as smooth as the day I met her. And I know she didn't shave them. I would go as far as to say that even her weight was exactly the same, despite everything she ate while she was here."
"You're concerned about her aging, aren't you..."
"Yeah... that. I know that Celestia is... thousands of years old. And... I've thought a lot about it." I laughed to myself. "Coincidentally, long-lived beings and immortality are some of my favorite topics in fiction. I suppose my fiction is your reality in this case, though. I guess it's... one of the reasons I'm so interested in Celestia. And... you. In a different way, of course. So... your... immortality. What exactly is it? Where does it come from?"
"You would be hard pressed to get an answer from me."
"No idea?"
"Our race, alicorns, are notoriously long-lived, but no explanation for it has satisfied me. Funnily enough, I do have a favorite explanation. We are gods." She giggled. "It's extraordinarily arrogant, but for reasons I cannot explain, it boosts my spirits. You have no idea how it feels to be able to claim, with no level of uncertainty, that I am a god. I know, of course, that it is not true, but it makes me feel powerful." She paused for a short while. "Please do not tell my sister. She would laugh if she heard I had a god complex."
"Oh, who doesn't have a god complex these days?"
She chuckled. "My sister and I are much different than the other Princesses. We've always been special... different. It can't even be called immortality. We can die, same as any other animal. Our parents both lived far longer than us and yet they have both long since passed. I've always believed that our immortality... our long lives... came from our parents... from our race."
"That's... That leads to my point. Say... I actually do spend my life with Celestia. We live together for years and years and years... then I die. What then? I know there are numerous problems with that scenario, but... will... will I just... be a memory at that point?"
"I'm afraid so. It's both a blessing and a curse."
"I don't... I don't want that."
"Neither does she. Neither do I."
"I don't... want it... because... because it would take away all that I am... all that I live for... I live to make others happy. If all I become is a memory... Then... Oh, I shouldn't say this... Then I almost wish she would forget about me. To cause that much pain to her... It's stupid and it's selfish and I know Celestia that would hate me if I told her... but..." I stopped. She understood.
"This may not be what you want to hear, but worrying about this will only bring you despair. I can promise you that my sister is prepared for whatever happens."
"That's the thing, Luna. She shouldn't have to be prepared, she shouldn't have to feel that pain. Partners can die, yes, I know that. But if they die of old age, the other partner shouldn't have more than a few years left. It's grim, but it's true. And that's not the case with Celestia. It's..."
"Phil."
I stopped talking immediately.
"You will only cause yourself despair by thinking this." she repeated, "My sister is... prepared. Believe me, I know that we shouldn't have to prepare for this, and I know that we shouldn't have to feel the pain of living after our loved ones parish... But it is the price we pay to be Princesses. It is the price we pay to live as long as we have. It is the price we pay... time and time again... It feels like we pay more every time..." Her tone was full of defeat. "There is nothing that can be done about it."
"I'm... I'm sorry, Luna."
"You are wiser than you appear. It's true what they say, though... Ignorance is bliss. You would make for an interesting immortal."
"What?"
She chuckled.
"Luna, you know you can't just say something like that and not elaborate."
"There's no elaboration required. It was merely an idle thought. Have you never dreamed of living forever?"
"Well... I mean... I've thought about it, but... uh..."
"In our world, it is a possibility. Impossible for one such as yourself, but a possibility nonetheless. I've witnessed beings achieving immortality. It's powerful, ancient magic, lost to even time itself. It's certainly above my level."
"Luna, you're freaking me out." I said, my demeanor the complete opposite of my words, "You're not being serious right now, are you?"
"Perhaps... Although perhaps I jest. Are you thinking about it? Do you even know what it entails? You'll watch your loved ones..."
"Yeah, yeah, I know." I said, interrupting her, "Loved ones dying, the world changing around you, yadda, yadda, yadda... Look, I don't care, alright? In this hypothetical situation, as long as I had someone to do it with me, I wouldn't even hesitate."
"You're making light of one of the most powerful forces in all of creation. This is not something you bring to a picnic to spread on a piece of bread."
"I truly... truly... do not care. If I die... I mean, when I die... It's going to hurt her. Luna, when people are hurt... when I hurt them... It's more pain to me than any cut or bruise. It's the most important thing in the world to me. More than anything else, I hate seeing people hurt."
"Your mindset is certainly noble. I've met many ponies like you... So, if there were a way, you would take it?"
"Yeah... Yeah, I think I would. As long as I could hang out with you guys, I guess. This wasn't what I expected to be talking about, today."
She chuckled. "If there were a way, I certainly wouldn't be the one to offer it to you. It would be something you would have to earn."
"Yeah, yeah... How in the world would someone earn that? You'd have to like, slay some kind of eldritch abomination, or... whatever, I don't know."
"Even after all of these years and after all the good that I have done, I do not know if I have truly earned what I have."
"It all really depends on where it came from, too. Like, for you, yours coming from your parents, they'd probably want you to do good things with your life. And you have, which is great and all, but what if it came from an evil source? Then you wouldn't have earned it at all."
She looked to me for a few moments. I couldn't tell if she wanted to agree or punch me. After a small while of enduring her gaze, she smiled, then started to laugh.
I chuckled along with her, partly nervous because I didn't know what was so funny, and partly because I found it hard to resist laughing along with others.
"Oh, what a ridiculous way of thinking..." she said to me, "I did not expect you to say something both hilarious and thought-provoking at the same time."
I shrugged at her.
"I choose to believe that my abilities were given to me in order to make the world a better place."
"Sounds good to me."
"What would you do if you could live as long as us? If you were granted immortality?"
"I dunno. I'd try to use it for good, at least. If I could. I'd want to spend my time with... beings like you. You and Celestia. If I could live forever, I'd want to spend my eternity with her."
"Forever is a long time to be in love."
"I'd try."
"You are... an interesting man. Unfortunately, I can't shake the feeling that this will all end poorly. Your relationship with my sister... You seem nice enough, but I have been mistaken before."
"Have a little faith in me, will ya?"
"There is yet another issue I need to discuss."
"This feels like it's never gonna end."
She sat back up for this. "As of now, I do trust you."
"Something we have in common."
"Or, I want to believe that I trust you. I truly wish to believe that our trust in you is well placed. From what I have seen, you make no effort in concealing your feelings towards other women."
"What... are you saying? Other women don't matter to me." I said sternly.
"So you say."
"So I say? What's that supposed to mean?"
"Just minutes before I arrived, you were with Sarah Lockhart, a woman that you have developed feelings for."
"Luna." I growled, "This right here... What you are saying to me... Stop. Now. It sounds like you're implying something... just... wrong... I am not denying that I care for her, but if you even suggest that I would be... in any way... unfaithful to Celestia..."
"Are you threatening me?"
"Luna... Not only is it an insult to me, but it's an insult to my pride. I don't care who you are Princess Luna, I will not be insulted under my own roof."
She stared at me for a long while. I couldn't tell what she was looking for. "I'm sorry." she said, as serious as before, "I overstepped my bounds."
She seemed... impressed.
I know that she meant no ill intent. Even if she had, she had her reasons.
I relaxed myself and let out a sigh. There was no way I could stay mad at her.
"Look... I don't know if you really meant that, or if even you meant to imply it, but I do actually take this seriously. I haven't lied to you. About anything. To be honest, Luna... I don't care if you trust me. Alright? I don't care what you think of me. I wouldn't care if you wanted me to stay away from your sister. Because at the end of the day, it's her opinion of me that matters. Not yours."
"I... understand. I crossed a line, and for that, I apologize.
"I know that you care for Celestia more than I could ever possibly care for her. You just want what's best for her. Unfortunately, she got me, but I'm doing my best, alright? I want to do whatever I can to make sure Celestia is as happy as she can be."
She nodded, then briefly looked away. She seemed to be thinking about something. Finally, she said, "If it means anything to you... I think that you are a suitable... boyfriend for my sister."
I was a little taken aback. Did she really say that? "That... That actually does mean a lot to me, Luna. Thank you." I sighed. "Glad that matter is settled. Man, you're not looking too good. That booboo on your face looks like it hurts."
"My face is fine." she said, reaching her hand towards her injury.
"So what are the total damages, do you think?" I asked her.
"My legs, chest, face, arms, and hands. When I fell, I tried to catch myself and landed hard on my hands. My wrists hurt quite a bit."
"Yeah, that's normal. Took a nasty tumble there. How do you feel? Better?"
"Yes. Thank you. And thank you... for speaking with me."
"You already thanked me for that."
"I hope this will not interfere with my return home."
"You'll be fine, you'll see."
She smiled. "Perhaps we are not so different, you and I."
"Trust me, we are very much not the same."
"We both care so much for Celestia. We both want what's best for her. Neither of us knows what we can do for her, nor what to say about the future."
"I... guess."
"You are not by any means outstanding and yet... my sister loves you just the same. It feels... right."
"We're never going to stop talking, are we?"
"No. Certainly not. There are still far too many questions to ask."
"Fair enough. Maybe you should get back to that relaxing, huh? Want me to get you a blanket?"
She nodded, a very innocent smile on her face. It was just like Celestia's smile.
"Alright, I'll get you a blanket." I said, smiling back. I left into my room and picked up some of the bedding for her, then went back out and dropped them onto her lap. "I'm not tucking you in."
"Things could have been very different had I been transported here instead of my sister, don't you think?" she said as she laid back down to rest, "I may have fallen for you just the same."
"What? Yeah, right. Don't get all loopy on me. Now you're just messing with me."
"Perhaps."
"Celestia was enough of a catch, alright? I definitely don't have what it takes to make you like me like that."
"Are you saying that I am more of a prize than my sister? What makes you say that?"
"Oh, do you really think that you'd want to stay here like she did? I mean, just a few days ago, you didn't even seem to like me at all."
"I like you, now."
"Well..."
"Why does my sister enjoy it here? It's because of you." She turned her head towards me. "You make it enjoyable to be outside of the castle like this. I'm more like my sister than you may think. In a way, I'm envious of my sister. To have a man such as you..."
I swear, she's still messing with me... "Luna, you can't mean that. I mean, look at me... To you, I must be disgusting."
She chuckled.
"Hurtful." I said, not caring, "Look, I've just always thought that you were harder to... to charm."
"I don't know if that is the case, Phil."
"Well, it doesn't matter. I highly doubt you're willing to prove your statement, neither am I eager to see a response to it."
"What if it had been the case, though? If I had come to Equestria and not my sister."
"I don't... know. Same thing, probably. Except the whole... relationship part."
"Perhaps. Your relationship is a strange one, I think. Had you not... seduced my sister the way you did, the most you may have gotten would have been a kiss on the cheek as she left. As much as I hate to admit it, and as much as it pains me to say... your relationship truly started the morning after... you and my sister... What I am saying is that if I were in the same position that night, I do not know if I would have given in or not. If it happened differently like that, my sister may have been the one to question you today."
"I..."
"Why am I telling you this?" she asked blankly, "I've never been comfortable discussing matters such as this. You've gotten me to drop my guard. It's a terrifying thought, really. You could still be anyone. I don't want to talk about this anymore."
"Are you gonna be alright?" I asked.
"I just need to rest. There's no need to worry. There are other things that require your attention. My sister should arrive before nightfall."
"Oh wow, that's great!" I excitedly let out.
She smiled. "Indeed. Was there anything else you would like to say?"
"Are you nocturnal?"
"Hmm? Back to the questions, are we?"
"I don't get this chance often. So, nocturnal?"
"For the most part, yes."
"Alright."
"Your life bores me even more than filling out paperwork, yet I can't help but find you fascinating. Isn't it strange?"
"Yeah, I guess. You like chocolate?"
She laughed. "I love chocolate."
"What about peanuts?"
"Yes, I like peanuts."
"Shell too?"
"At times. Do you eat the shell?"
"Yep. Ones I get are salted, so they're still good."
"That sounds unhealthy."
"Oh yeah. No amount of protein is gonna make up for all that salt."
"Celestia likes eating the shells, as well."
"I knew it. So... following up on the subject of food, I might as well ask... do you... have a problem with meat? You know, like... eating meat."
"My sister rejected your offer and so shall I. I cannot say that it does not interest me in some way, however."
"Fair enough. More for me, I guess."
"Is... it good?"
"Yeah, it's great. My favorite type of food."
"So what is your favorite meal?"
"A toasted peanut butter jelly sandwich with an egg and cheese in it." I said.
"That... That's not very related to meat at all."
"I never said it had my favorite food. It was just my favorite type of food."
"What would you say is the best part about meat? The taste? The texture?"
"Taste, definitely. It can be amazing."
"I am curious, I will admit, although my choice remains."
"More for me. You think there's anything else we need to discuss?"
"I'm sure there are many things we have missed." she said, "I have a few questions already, but I believe that they would be best saved for a later date."
"Yeah, same here, I guess. How's your foot?"
"Better. It still hurts."
"Try getting the elastic thing around it."
She retrieved it from where she set it on the table and looked at it. She reached down to her foot and after a small while managed to slip it around her heel.
"It feels... good. Better." she said.
"Great, great..."
Luna chuckled. "We seem to be out of time."
"We are? Why's that?"
Luna gave me a smile. "She's coming."
"What? Sh-She is? You serious? She is?!"
Luna sat up again, then yawned. "Just as I got comfortable, too."
As she said this, a strange, familiar feeling of static electricity began to build up. It felt just like before, when Luna arrived last time. This was it.
Once again, a large, white sphere of energy appeared in the middle of my front room. This time, it was pure white and seemed to condense itself into a flat circle. For a brief moment, everything was still. Then the whiteness began to fade. It grew somewhat darker. Shapes started to form in it. It seemed almost like a picture or a mirror.
I could see what looked like a pony through it. The longer it lingered, the clearer it became. It was like a window into another world. And through that window, one thing stood out above everything else.
Her.
A majestic white pony, with beautiful magenta eyes and long, multicolored hair stared back at me through the portal. Her smile widened as she looked to me, as did mine when I saw her.
We gazed at each other in mutual silence, our powerful emotions flowing between us. It was a while before anything else happened, but she was the first to move, and in a way I had not expected.
Before I could react, she leapt through. Her body was transformed into that of a human as she passed through. She wrapped herself around me and knocked me backwards over the table and onto the couch. As I returned her embrace, she buried her face in my chest. After a few moments like this, she looked up to me. Tears rolled from her eyes, but unlike the last time, these were tears of joy.
"I missed you." she quietly whispered.
I lightly pressed my mouth against hers, pulled back for a small moment, then pressed hard against her soft lips for a passionate kiss.
After we had finally disconnected, I placed my hand on her head and began to stroke her long, silky hair. "I missed you, too." I softly said to her.
She had returned to her gorgeous human form. Her body pressed against mine.
As we shared our tender embrace, Princess Luna began to move. She stood up next to the couch, a hand on the back for support. We both ignored her in favor of gazing lovingly into each other's eyes.
She reached a hand towards the portal from where she stood and pulled it back towards herself, commanding the portal closer.
She looked to us one last time before passing through. A blue pony took her place on the other side. She seemed to be lifting one of her back legs from the ground an inch or so.
We were allowed a long time in each other's arms before we were interrupted.
"Sister."
At first, Celestia didn't respond. It wasn't until Luna repeated herself that she turned her head towards her sister, laying against my chest. She said nothing.
"I have done what I had set out to do. I have spoken to your partner and learned much about him. I wish you well, sister. Goodbye."
"I'll be back soon, Luna." she said with a somewhat shaky voice, "Thank you."
Luna gave us one last smile before the portal disappeared, leaving the two of us alone.
"She likes you."
"Does she, now?"
We returned to our hug. Celestia pulled herself up my body and rested her knees on either side of me, sitting on my lap. I set my feet on the ground and moved back against the couch. For a while, this was all there was, broken by an occasional kiss.
"It's been so long." she said, not moving.
"It's been too long, Celestia."
"Did you like talking to my sister?"
"It was nice. I learned some stuff about you, too."
"I'm sorry I couldn't be here sooner. I..."
"You're here now, that's all that matters to me."
"I've longed to be in your arms from the moment we parted. I love you... so much."
I kissed her again. "I love you too, Celestia."
We stared at each other, then met for another kiss, much longer this time. As our lips parted, she rested her forehead against mine, staring directly into my eyes.
Another kiss. The two of us started to move, gazing into each other's eyes as we did. Our lips pecked together often.
She slowly laid on her back as I moved directly over her body. Once again, I kissed her wanting lips.
I slid one of my hands down her curvy body and rounded her soft rear, grabbing onto the back of her leg. I pulled on it as I went in for one more kiss, squeezing her thigh.
"Make love to me like you used to." she quietly said to me as I pulled away.
"Aren't you a naughty one? Not even five minutes with me."
"What in the world could be more romantic than passionate love making? I know you like the idea. I can see it in your eyes."
"I'm not saying I'm against the idea, but it does seem kinda sudden."
"You laid me underneath you. Are you saying it wasn't your intention? I feel as though I've been lied to."
"It certainly wasn't my intention to lie to you."
"I've worked very hard to get back here. I spent every second I had searching for a way to see you once more. It took me a long time, but I finally did it. Don't you think I deserve a reward?"
"A reward? It's like you're perpetually in heat, Celestia."
"What's wrong with enjoying an intimate relationship with my boyfriend?" She giggled. "You're still caressing my thigh."
I pecked my lips against hers. She giggled again. Her gaze remained fixated on my eyes.
"Well, I suppose you are right about one thing. There's nothing wrong with making love with your boyfriend."
[Scene missing]
Princess Celestia has been in this world for a mere two hours and yet we were already snuggling naked in my bed again. Well, semi-naked. We put our underwear back on. At first it was just me, she just seemed to follow my lead. I couldn't be sure nobody was going to pop through the door at any moment without any warning. It's been known to happen.
"You lost weight." she said to me, lightly touching the arm that I laid over her.
"Hmm?"
"A little bit, but you did."
"I didn't eat much while you were gone. It happens when I feel down."
"Did you miss me that much?"
"Yeah, I guess I did."
"You still need to eat right."
"Yeah, yeah. Sorry."
She turned her head to me. "I mean that."
"You're the one that doesn't eat right around here. You eat enough junk food in one day to feed a small village for a few weeks."
Her staring eyes told me that she wasn't pleased with my response.
"Alright, I'll eat better. Celestia..."
She turned to lay on her back. "You spoke to my sister, now I have a few questions for you." she said, her voice soft and tired.
"I knew it, they're never going to end."
"I promise you that my questions will be more to the point. Now... What is your relationship with that woman, Sarah?" She seemed to be serious about this, despite her tone.
"She told her parents I was her boyfriend, so they wanted to invite me to dinner."
"That's a lie. You're my boyfriend."
"I know, I know. I told her that you'd be the one to decide if I would attend."
"Why?"
"I like helping out my friends, even if they say stupid things."
"You know that I don't have much of an issue with it, but what if she tries to do something? Luna doesn't trust her."
"Well, I trust her."
"Do you want to go?"
"Well, yeah. Kinda. I'd at least like to know what sort of food would be prepared."
"Would you still want to go if there wasn't food?"
"Yeah, probably. She made a mistake, I'm just helping her sort it out."
"She can sort her own mistakes out." she distastefully replied.
"Alright, guess I'll tell her I can't show."
There was a small pause before she spoke again. "I didn't... say you couldn't go."
"Celestia, it's fine if you don't want me to. I told her not to expect it."
"No, no... It's just..."
"You alright?"
"Well, I... I'm a little..." She mumbled the next word.
"Are you jealous of Sarah?"
She nodded.
"Celestia..."
"It's... It's a strange feeling..."
"What do you have to be jealous for?" I lowered my hand to her rear and slid it underneath her underwear. My hand began to caress her soft, bare bottom. "Your butt is way cuter than hers."
She took in a shaky breath. "Gentler... please... Were... Were you looking at her butt?"
"A little. I'll admit that it caught my eye once or twice."
She placed her hand over mine. "Does it... look nice?"
"It looked alright. Average, I guess."
"I trust you don't view women based solely on the appearance of their behinds, do you?"
"If looks were the issue, there would be no contest. You know I don't do that. Sarah was kind to me, so I wanna help her."
"You told my sister that you liked her."
I pulled my hand from her underwear. "Celestia, there is nothing in this world that will tear me away from you. You're stuck with me, you got that?"
"I understand."
"Good. If you still don't like the idea, I'll tell her."
"I want to meet her before I make this decision." she said to me.
"Alright. Hey, Celestia?"
"Yes?"
"Did you... peek on us while we spoke together? Luna told me that you agreed not to, but I told her some stuff that was important to me. I just want to make sure that... you didn't..."
"What could be so important that you'd keep it from me?"
"You'd know if I told you."
"What do you mean?"
"Well... how do you feel about the idea of having kids?"
"Oh!" She let out a nervous laugh. "Now I get it."
"That wasn't it, but we did discuss that. Luna started freaking out. It was actually pretty funny."
"Please don't do that to my sister. She has enough to deal with."
"Sorry, sorry."
She let out a joyful laugh. "Leave that sort of thing to me, alright?"
"Yeah... Hey, I... uh... I wasn't planning on telling any of my friends about you this time. Is it alright if I invite her here so you can meet up?"
"You don't want your friends to know? Are you ashamed of me?"
"Celestia."
"Why not? They seem nice."
"I don't really wanna spend a lot of time talking through stuff over and over again. I'd rather just be alone with you."
"I suppose. You really ought to spend time with them. They are your friends, after all. What if one of them moved, or what if you moved?"
"Me move? Yeah, right. Where would I move to?"
"Hmm..."
"I'll iron out the details with Sarah. In the meantime... I dunno. We'll figure it out. I have something for you, though."
"You do? For me?" she asked.
"Yeah. I'll give it to you tomorrow. How's that sound?"
"I'll look forward to it. Is it late enough to go to sleep, though?"
"I'd rather just lie here with you for the next few hours than get up for even a single second."
"Good."
Our arms were intertwined and our bodies pressed against each other. That night, I was truly happy. My life seemed to be turning itself around. The feeling I got while she laid in my arms was like no other. It felt like falling in love all over again, but with a woman I already loved. Celestia was mine once again. At least for the month, she was mine to hold, mine to kiss, and mine to love.
