Chapter 16: Gun Fights

~Five Year Time Skip~

"Ebony-chan, Ebony-chan! Wait up!" Phoenix yelled, running after his twin. Ebony giggled, and kept running, dodging the people working. Ebony glanced around, her blue eyes a light with mischief. Between the two twins, Ebony was the more mischievous of them; hanging around with Dee and Dum. Phoenix was a bit more calm headed; keeping close to his father.

Ebony stopped, and spun around, just in time to see Phoenix skid to a stop about a foot from her. "Phoenix-kun, can we go into town?" Ebony asked, hopping from foot to foot. "OH! Instead, can we go to the Amusement Park? I wanna go see Mr. Gowland!" She chirped, grabbing her brothers hand and jumping around even more hyperly.

"Young lady, thats not the correct way to act." She heard a stern voice say behind her. Quickly, she dropped Phoenix's hand, and stood up straight and still. She quickly glanced up, and bowed her head. "Yes Father. I'm sorry." And quickly, she ran back into the Hatter Mansion, ignoring the shouts of her brother which were stopped quickly by Blood staring at the quickly retreating form of his daughter.

He didn't mean to upset her. He only wanted her to grow up as a respectable young lady.

Ebony ran back to her room, her small boots silent as she dodged people. Her purple dress; which has sleeves that came up to her elbows and that ended at her knees, was noticed by a pair of violet eyes.

"Ebony!" Elliot shouted, noticing that the small ten year old girl fell, and just sat there for a minute. When she heard her name being called, she turned around. Elliot was stunned for a minute. Her cyan eyes were filled with tears, and she opened her mouth. "E-Elliot?" She stuttered, wiping the unshed tears from her eyes. Elliot quickly ran to her. "Ebony, are you okay?" Ebony nodded, and took Elliots hand. He pulled her up, and checked her knee. He smiled.

"It's good that you're not hurt." He said, rubbing her hair. Ebony giggled, when she looked up and saw Elliot smiling at her. "Thank you Elliot." She said, with a smile. "Where you going to small one?" He said teasingly. She pouted. "I'm not that small. And I wanted to go into town and then I changed my mind and wanted to go to the Park. But then Father said I shouldn't be acting improper so I don't think I can go." Ebony said, staring down at her boots.

"Well, why don't we ask your mom?" Elliot said. Ebony's eyes widened, and she jumped up and down again. "YEA! Thanks you Elliot!" She yelled, hugging him quickly before running down the hall, shouting, "MOMMY MOMMY!"

Alice walked out the door when she heard her daughter calling her name. She couldn't help but chuckle when she saw Ebony running full force towards her, and hugged her when Ebony threw herself at her mom. "Yes Ebony?" Alice said, stroking her daughters auburn hair. Ebony glanced up, and used her puppy dog eyes. "Mommy, can we go to the Amusement Park?" Alice thought about it. "Please Mommy?" Ebony asked, tugging on her moms apron.

Alice chuckled. "Sure, we'll go. Go get your brother." Ebony giggled. "THANK YOU!" She shouted, before running back down the hall.

"You shouldn't spoil her like that." Alice turned around, and stared at Blood. "She's just a child. Let her enjoy it." She stared at him for a bit longer before she sighed. "And don't be so harsh on her." Blood hugged Alice. "I know."

~At the Amusement Park~

"Mr. Gowland!" Phoenix shouted, running up to him. Gowland chuckled. "Well hello their young boy." He said, ruffling his hair. "Boris!" Ebony yelled, throwing herself at the surprised Cheshire Cat. "Woah! Ebony, you grew!" Boris said, picking her up. Ebony giggled. "Tell that to Elliot." Boris chuckled. "No hello for me?" Gowland spoke, and teasingly poked Ebony. "Gowland!" She shouted, and laughed.

"Hey Alice." Gowland said, nodding his head. Alice smiled. "Hello Gowland." Blood said. Gowland nodded stiffly. "Hello Hatter." Alice rolled her eyes and ignored the tension. "Come on." Alice said, following her Twins, as they ran through the park.

Soon, it became time to go; three time periods had gone by. "Bye Boris! Bye Gowland!" Ebony shouted, waving to them as she skipped ahead.

"Blood, can we stop by the town? I need to pick something up." Alice said, stopping Blood. Blood nodded, and the family went into town.

As soon as they set foot into town, a crowd surrounded the family. "Alice, keep the Twins near you." Blood said, pushing Alice behind him. Alice, with her eyes wide with fear, quickly grabbed Phoenix and Ebony, and held them close.

"What do you faceless want?" Blood said.

And thats when all hell broke loose. The sounds of gunfire exploded, and Alice closed her eyes, as the Twins did the same.

Shouts and yells filled their ears, as Blood tried to fight them all at once.

Hands. Gripping and tugging them away. Shouts. Confusion. Alice lost her grip of her children. Blood lost his family in the chaos.

Ebony opened her eyes, as a hand clamped around her mouth. She strugged, kicking and thrashing around as a faceless picked her up.

Phoenix opened his eyes once he felt his sisters hand dissappered. "EBONY!" He shouted, lunging towards the man. In an instand, someone had him. He sturggled; as did Ebony, until they pressed a cloth to their face.

They became tired. Their eyes closed slowly, their flaling legs ceasing, their urge to fight dissappering. They knew they were being taken, but they became so sleepy. So they closed their eyes.

The kidnappers took them, running into the woods, with the Hatter Twins thrown over their shoulder. At right at that time; as if fate was being cruel to the still unknowing parents, it became night.

And like theives, the kidnappers dissappered, using the forest and now the night as their capes.

The fight at the town quickly vanished as it became clear to the attackers that their goal had been achieved.

"Alice, are you okay?" Blood said, as the crowd that had been watching and protecting her moved away. Alice nodded, standing up shakily. "Are you?" Blood nodded. Alice looked around her face becoming pale. "Alice?" Blood asked.

"Blood... Did you see them?" Alice said, starting to become frantic. And then it hit Blood. "No..." The parents quickly scattered, searching and asking people in the town if they had seen their two treasures. And they were shut down with each no.

"It's my fault!" Alice wailed, tears filling her eyes. Blood hugged her, trying to soothe her. "No it's not." Blood said.

"We'll find them. We'll find whoever kidnapped Phoenix and Ebony. And they'll regret Julius ever fixed their clock." Blood spoke.

A/n: Hey Guys! OMG A CHAPTER IKR! ...' Yea... So, I do know sorta where this is heading. And look! A cliffhanged!? Maybe it'll make it more easier for me to update next chapter. Which I hope I can do soon.

Nightmare: Yea. She says soon but she knows she won't be able to. 'Cause shes procrastinating on homework and another story on Quotev.

Autumn: Shut up Nightmare. And then you wonder why I haven't written you in here yet. For all the DreamLeavers know, the Twins have never met you and will never met you. *smiles smugly*

Nightmare: *coughs up blood* So...mean...

Autumns: But they will. Hopefully. If I can decide who I will eventually put Ebony with. 'Cause Phoenix was easy. And no it won't be Vivaldi.

Okay! Roll play is nice occasionally. So, like I said, there will be a short story for the Twins. Cause I won't add that in this. Cause I have a name and all that *does a happy dance*

ClaraJayCarter: Thank you! For both comments! And yeah, I was really upset about the whole having to shut this down. But it probably won't be the only Alice X Blood story. In fact, Drink Me, Eat Me, Mericless Mercy, and Unhappily Happy are all upcoming Alice X Blood stories.
