So it seems like everyone likes having Seth's point of view added into the story :) Thanks Anozira Celia Sunstream and CLumsy-Bookworm298! So that will continue to happen. On that note to Arialovesu I like your whole idea of switching off between Karen and Seth to tell the story. I actually thought about doing that for a few of my later chapters because I think it will work better so I'm glad that you brought that up! :)
Also to Lmb111514 about Karen and Leah's relationship I think you'll like what I have in store for them :)

Chapter Fourteen: One More Period
Seth's Point of View
The bell rang once again signaling the end of a period I had not seen Karen. But because Embry was with her I felt better. Even so I had to take a deep breath and focus on walking slowly out the classroom door. As I entered the hallway I met up with Quil who was also walking out of his classroom.
"Hey man, how are you holding up?" he asked. I shrugged.
"As well as I can be."
"You're doing pretty well. Paul joked that you would probably rip up the entire school to find her before seventh period," Quil said with a laugh. I rolled my eyes.
"I'm trying not to."
"And the school appreciates that," Quil said laughing again. I shook my head but grinned at him anyway. As we were walking I saw Embry up ahead talking to Collin. He was telling something to Collin who started laughing with him.
"What's up guys?" I asked as Quil and I reached them. Embry grinned widely at me.
"Jake wasn't kidding. She really is full of fire."
"What happened?" Quil asked.
"So I see her walk in the door and when she sees me I can tell she recognized me. So I come up to her and she kind of looks like she wants to go right back out the door or something. So I introduce myself and she looks uncomfortable so I'm wondering if she really does have some spunk and Jake's not just seeing things. So I bring her up to the teacher's desk to help her get her books. And remember now it's Mr. Greary." I groaned when I heard his name he was known for being a hard ass. Embry gave me a smile and nodded. "Yeah, so we walk up there and you can already tell he knows who she is and he isn't impressed. And he's all like, 'You must be the new girl.'" Embry dropped his face into a disinterested look and changed his voice to a monotone to mimic Mr. Greary. Quil laughed and Embry cracked a smile ruining his impression of Greary.
"And then he's like oh a sophomore, I only teach juniors and seniors, and he says this all proud and arrogant, and then he looks down at her and is like the office says you're qualified. His tone totally saying he thinks she's going to fail. And I swear I could feel the annoyance and anger radiating off of her. Man I think it would have put Paul's outbursts to shame. But she just kept silent and even managed a polite look on her face and when he didn't get a rise out of her he just went on, call me Mr. Greary, not Mr. G, Mr. Grear, or Greary." Embry paused at this and started laughing.
It took awhile but finally he calmed down enough that I could make out what he was saying. "And so she says, 'How about Mr. Dreary.'" Embry started cracking up again and Collin, Quil, and I joined in. I couldn't believe she had such a tongue on her. It was unbelievably hilarious. Once Embry had calmed down again he continued, "And Greary was like 'Did you say something Ms. Morella?' and she said with a straight face, I kid you not a straight face, if I hadn't heard what she said I would have totally believed her. she said 'I was just wondering if you spelled that with two "e's" or an "e" and an "a"' She was all polite and everything. So then he tells her it's an "e" and an "a" and then goes on to tell her about his strict curriculum basically telling her she won't survive and she's going to fail. And she just says all polite, 'Yes Mr. Greary.' And then he dismisses her and oh boy I felt that wave of anger. I even thought I saw flames in her eyes. But she kept it all under control." Embry said with respect in his voice.
"So when he's finally done we go to sit down and she just rolls her eyes. It was funny but then I ask her why she's in the class and she tells me because that's how her classes transferred. So I warned her she would need luck in this class 'cause Greary is such a hard ass." Quil, Collin and I all nod our heads. Everyone in the school knew Greary was a pain. "And she just looks at me dead serious and I could almost see the challenge in her eyes. And she says, 'I won't need luck.' So I look at her like she's crazy and I'm wondering what she means and she just calmly says, 'he doesn't think I'll do well in the class and he thinks I'll fail. I'm going to show him just how wrong he is.' Oh yeah that's what she says but a word of advice to you Seth she told me this and I think you better hear it," Embry smiled impishly at this.
"What?" I say. And Embry looks at me with that smile on his face.
"She says, if there's one thing you shouldn't tell me it's that I can't do something, and then man I swear she gave me this devil smile like she couldn't wait to make Mr. Greary eat his words." Embry started laughing again.
Just then Leah walked up.
"You better hurry up and get to class or you're gonna be late." She warned. Embry said a quick goodbye before racing off to his class. Quil gave me a little salute before walking to his class with Collin, Leah, and Brady who had just run up. With a sigh I made my way to the classroom down the hall just making it before the bell rang.
One more period and I would see Karen. That was the thought that got me through the hour.
