Today was a new day. Aside from all the hectic drama, and the things she may have heard over the past few weeks, Candice Michelle was ready to start a new day. No more drama, no more crying, no more ice cream... and no more Randy Orton.

Well, partially. She couldn't ignore the fact that she had Randy's baby still growing inside of her. It wasn't to a point where she was obviously showing, but it was well on her way. Oh, well, just enjoy the semi-flat stomach while it lasts.

"The company face off is tomorrow, the DIVAS promotional event is today." Candice announced to herself out loud. She was crossing her fingers, hoping that U.K wouldn't show up at their own event, and actually focus on their company, rather than create drama for their rival company.

That's one thing, Candice can admit, Randy wasn't trying to do for her. The only time he did is when he caused tension with Dave during their business dinner she had with him a week ago. But that – was out of jealousy. Wasn't it? It had to be, it was so easy to read over Randy's playful smile.

Yeah, ever since she'd been involved with her former boss, she could see through some of his antics. Some but not all. She was of course, referring to where she heard Randy state that he was officially done with Candice Michelle. That wasn't something that she couldn't quite put her finger on.

But who cares? If Randy's done, she is done. And with that being said, she finally reached a decision.

Adoption.

Instead of telling Randy, Candice decided that she put the baby forth for adoption. It was the first step in getting over someone that you once truly loved. However, Candice would be lying if she stated that she feels absolutely nothing for her ex-lover... because in reality, he stills a small place in Candice's heart.

But it was small. And no matter how small – it can be something that'll make her get over him in a snap. She nodded. Yes, that's what she was going to do. She'll put her feelings aside, and put the baby up for adoption upon birth, and by the time she gave birth, Randy would probably be on his way to England.

It's for the best.

"Now to get ready for this car-wash." Candice got dressed and readied herself for today's promotional event, and while she was getting ready, she received a text from Dave.

On my way to the event. I'll pick you up if you want.
Dave

Candice reached for her phone, and replied with a small smile:

Sure, I would like you too. If that's not a problem.

Another text.

No problem at all, Miss Candice. I'm coming your way, so get ready.

Candice replied:

Already ahead of ya.

;)

She put her phone down to slip on her sandals, and soon as she did that, there was a knock at the door. "Coming!"

She made her way quickly yet cautiously down the stairs to open the door. Dave stood behind it dressed nicely in a suit and tie for the occasion. "It's a car wash, Dave. No business meeting."

"I just thought I present the company with a fresh clean look, you know, present it in a good and kind light."

"Well, if you put it like that then -" Candice giggled, as Dave smiled brightly at her response. "Very well, come along now." Dave offered his arm and Candice gradually wrapped hers around his own. And she couldn't help it, despite herself, she had to admit that it felt good to be in someone else's arms for once.

Randy was skeptical. He still couldn't believe that John had talked to Jack Swagger about his situation, his business.

"Seriously, how long are you going to stay angry at me?"

Randy didn't answer his question. "Look, I know you two had history, but he seemed so sincere about helping out, I couldn't just say no."

"You. That's the issue. It wasn't your decision to even consider him helping us out."

"But you agreed to it."

"Well – I had to because at that point you had already brought him into my office. I was given no chance to even think about this so of course I had to agree to it. You practically shoved him down my throat."

"I couldn't help it. Candice is my friend, too. I care just like you care, and he cares just like the both of us." John retorted.

"Yeah, whatever. We'll see about that. I don't trust him at all." Randy growled. "That's two guys I have to keep my eye on. Fuckin' Swagger, and Batista."

"You don't have to. I'll just watch and tell you if I see anything strange."

"You're really up for that?"

John nodded. "It's the least I can do to make this up to you, especially since I know that you can't stand Jack Swagger."

Randy sighed. "You know what, if you are really up for it, then I see no problem in you watching over Jack. Just let me know, that if he does anything stupid, tell me because I will be the one to kill him... slowly."

"I bet you will." John chuckled to himself. "So when are you going to put your plan to action?"

Randy put his feet on the table, leaning back on his chair. "Whenever I feel like it's necessary."

Just as he said that, there was a loud banging on the door. "RANDY! OPEN UP!" It was Layla's voice on the other side, and she sounded pretty upset.

"Do you think now is a good time?"

"Just wait. Come in, Layla. The door is open."

Layla opened the door and stomped her way inside, her face full of rage. "Do you know that DIVAS are having a car wash today? I figured you mightve picked that up when you invaded their business dinner."

"Yes, I did know, as a matter of fact."

"What are we going to do about it?"

"Just don't worry about it. I already got it covered."

"Really?"

Randy nodded his head, affirmatively. "Yes. I told you that I stole their flyer, and I saw that they had specified dates for the promotional car wash that they are having today. So prior to that, I made a couple of calls, and made a few payments for a carnival to be held today in our name." Randy informed her.

Layla blinked in surprise. "Wow, seriously?"

"Seriously. There's a penny drop event that will be held there, and I'm sure that the carnival alone will generate a lot of attention, and get more readers for our magazine." Randy smiled. "Amazing how a jackass can get so much work done, isn't it, Layla?"

"Randy, you are something else." She smiled at him, and he smiled back. "Yes, indeed I am. Miss Layla El."

"What's gotten into you?" Layla asked as she approached him.

"I don't know... you tell me if you like it or not." Randy stood up to stand over her, leaning down to kiss her lips softly.

John turned his head away in disgust. "Ugh. Seriously, you two, get a room."

"Wow, I didn't expect that." Layla said breaking the kiss. "You don't know what to expect from me, now do you?" Randy winked at her. "You always adore my unpredictability. Yes?"

Layla only blushed. "I thought so. Now you can go back to work, I'll call you in if I need you later."

Layla nodded at him, almost nearly skipping her way out of the office, perhaps of complete happiness that she finally got what she desired most since Randy came working here.

"You guys are something else." John only said in response to what he had just witnessed. Randy sat back in his chair, and laughed.

"Payback is a bitch."
