Disclaimer: Fifty Shades of Grey isn't mine, and is only in the Black Butler-verse for grins.

"Isn't it wonderful!?" Grell shrieked as Mey-Rin's face got steadily redder.

"Y-Yes, but do you think that-"

"Yes I do very much, dearie. The title enough will draw Sebas-chan in and soon he'll be dying to see how much of that stuff can be done in real life~"

Mey-Rin nearly fainted. "I...I must buy my own copy and leave it out where he'll see it!"

Ciel knew he shouldn't have read that questionable book lying on the table. Any book that had kept Mey-Rin's attention for over an hour was trouble, and this one had kept her enraptured for three. He'd only picked it up out of curiosity - maybe it was a best-seller that he should be aware of in case other nobles wished to discuss its contents with him at parties.

Well it was certainly a best something.

He turned the book over to see the title on the cover again. Fifty Shades of Grey. More like Fifty Mental Scars. Again, why had he picked up-

"Are you all right, my lord?"

"Se-Sebastian!" Ciel jumped a little and turned the book so it was safely tucked behind him. "Why are you prowling around so late at night?!"

"I found an open window on the second floor and am searching for the intruder. Please return to your quarters at once."

"What!?" Ciel was so outraged that he forgot about the book in his hand, only realizing that he'd revealed it when his demonic butler's eyes glanced downward. "Ah...this is Mey-Rin's - I saw her reading it earlier and was about to find you so you could return it to her quarters."

"I see." Sebastian might have smirked, but it could have been a trick of the light. "May I take it off your hands then, my lord?"

Ciel quickly handed the book over.

"Fifty shades of Grey... Did you find it interesting, my lord?"

"Mey-Rin and I rarely have similar tastes when it comes to literature," Ciel frowned, "and this novella seems much too coarse and vulgar for me."

Sebastian's lips curled into a sly smile. "I understand, my lord."

Knowing how Mey-Rin would react to being awoken in the middle of the night, Sebastian decided that leaving the maid's book on the end table near her bedroom door would be a wise decision - the intruder was still in the manor and he needed to focus on his game of cat and mouse.

A floorboard creaked.

Sebastian's eyes flashed bright vermillion as his predator instincts kicked in and he whirled around fast enough to catch a glimpse of black flap around a corner. The chase was on.

Ciel couldn't seem to fall asleep no matter what he did. That blasted book was still on his mind, and every little sound brought at least one of its deviant images to the forefront of his imagination. What was wrong with him?

"Gaak...!"

That pained choking noise had been real, right?! Ciel didn't think he was disturbed enough to imagine or make the sound himself.

The low growl that followed a little later was definitely real though.

"S- Saa... Aah... Ah! Ohhh..."

Wide-eyed and nearly trembling, Ciel slowly scooted out of bed and tiptoed over to the door. Curse Mey-Rin's book! It had traumatized him in ways that he hadn't expected!

Tear. Tear. Tear. Clink.

Ciel slowly opened the door, fully prepared for the worst...

"My lord, did I disturb you? The intruders may have made a little noise, despite my best efforts to silently dispatch them."

"N-No." The young earl managed when he saw the bodies of three hitmen lying on the floor instead of a BDSM scene.

"Then please attempt to sleep. You have many activities scheduled for tomorrow and it is important that you rest now."

"I know that!" Ciel hissed angrily and stomped into his room, slamming the door behind him.

Three months later...

"Sebastian."

"Yes, my lord?"

"Destroy this book."

Sebastian placed a hand over his chest and bowed before taking Fifty Shades Darker and throwing it into the fireplace. Ciel must have read it despite knowing that it had to be as disturbing as its prequel.

A/N: I don't own FSD either, pfft.

Sorry for taking forever to post, especially since people are still enjoying this fic so much! Part two of Giving is in the works and I've been typing a little on several different chapters for Awkward Misunderstandings again. (This one just happened to be completed first.) Hopefully my every-other-week posting schedule will be back in business, starting with this update.

Thanks for reading~
