I don't own Ghost Hunt or Harry Potter, I'm just having a little fun with them.

Sorry for taking so long in getting this up, November was busy, as was December, had some bad news almost two weeks ago, so have been trying to get back into things again. Was going to post this yesterday, but ended up busy for most of the day, didn't even have time to check emails.

Well, I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Chapter Thirteen

Case File Three – Revenge Hotel

Part Two

Mai finished making he tea as John and Monk walked back into the room, everyone gathered around the table, except for Lin, who remained at the monitors. Harry was sat at the table as well, though he could feel concern coming from Kazuya, he was still feeling a little tired from the attack on his shields, but at least he had them back up enough that the feelings he got from the spirit was lessoned a little.

Harry looked to John and Monk, they looked a little out of it and harried, "How was set up for you two?" Harry asked them both, since it had taken a while for them to set up only to cameras.

"It was difficult, we managed to get the cameras and microphone put up in a way so that they wouldn't be accidentally knocked around. Though that was mainly thanks to Lin, he had to come and help us quiet a bit," John said giving a smile to the young teen.

"At least you know for the next time we have to have cameras in such a place, you'll know what to look for in where to place them." Harry smiled back.

"Next time, we'll take the ones for the rooms, and you and Naru can take the stairwells." Monk smirked over to the two young teens.

"Maybe Monk, maybe," Harry chuckled.

"Miss Hara," Kazuya said, interrupting the two of them, "you have finished the walkthrough of the third floor correct?" he asked her.

Masako nodded her head, "yes, I have."

"Could you tell us your findings?" he then prompted her.

She nodded her head and then started to tell of what she felt, "There is only one spirit here, and he is powerful. He seems very angry at something. He seems to be within room 308 all the time, he has not moved from that room since I arrived here. I went down to the second floor for a moment, but when I stepped onto the second floor, I couldn't feel the spirit at all. I also did the same with the forth floor, the same thing happened, I couldn't feel the spirit at all."

'So, basically what Harry said was true,' Kazuya's inner voice came through strongly at that moment.

Harry couldn't help but smirk a little, gaining the attention of Kazuya as he looked to the other male teen, 'Of course its true.' Harry mouthed to the other in English.

Kazuya rolled his eyes a little and then went back to talking to the others, "I want people to stay out of room 308 at this moment in time. Miss Hara, please keep me apprised if the spirit decides to move to some where else?" he then asked her as he looked to the young medium.

"I will Naru," she nodded her head as she agreed to do as he requested.

"There is not much to do at this moment in time, so feel free to explore the third floor, but don't enter room 308," Kazuya said as one by one they got up and left the room. Mai and Harry were soon back, with some homework. This was always the most boring bit of an investigation, the beginning, where they are waiting for something to happen.

XxXxX

Two staff members were cleaning up the remains of dinner. Mai had organised them to have it in the base room, instead of the dinning room. It had been better for them to do that since they didn't want to attract too much attention to themselves at that moment in time. Mr Tachibana wanted to keep the fact that he had a paranormal investigation team in quiet, as it might ruin business. Mai finished making everyone a cup of tea and settled down on the sofa as the two staff members then left them alone.

"Well, Lin and I will be staying up tonight, Harry it is your night off." Kazuya said as he looked at the two, one at a time.

"Okay," Lin said as he stood up and went back to the monitors. Harry could feel that he was a little uncomfortable with the number of people that were around. Harry just hoped he would warm up to them all soon.

"All right. Though I don't mind taking a shift if needed." Harry nodded his head.

"If it's needed," Kazuya replied, "once again, you can…" he started to say as Lin called to him.

"Naru, we have something in room 306." Lin called to his boss

Everyone quickly gathered around the monitor as Lin turned up the sound. They could soon hear someone shouting, arguing, though they could only hear one side of the conversations.

"I can't believe you would want to do something like that!" The voice yelled clearly.

It didn't take long for a figure to appear, pacing back and forth across the room. He was wearing a Yukata, long hair, pulled back. It was the same person that had been described by the third floor maids that had seen him. Harry could now feel the anger that the spirit held begin to intensify; underneath it all was also a feeling of betrayal. Harry wondered what had happened to cause that feeling with this spirit.

"No, we can't do that, I wont let you do that!" the man was yelling once again.

The spirit then disappeared from view, but now there were yelled, no more words. It was more of a yell of pain, it was soon followed by loud bangs and things breaking. It was loud enough that there was now an echo of what was going on, since they were hearing it from the speakers and from the room itself.

"Miss Hara, what can you feel?" Kazuya asked her.

"Its still only the one spirit, and it is in room 306 now, I didn't even feel him move." She answered him the best that she could.

Kazuya then looked to Harry and motioned for him to move away from the others for a moment. Harry followed him as Kazuya then asked, "Have you felt anything?"

"Anger, mainly, but underneath it is a sense of betrayal. Who ever this spirit is was betrayed by someone, it seems a little like it was business, though I could be wrong on this." Harry answered him quietly.

Kazuya nodded his head and then said, "Thank you."

The banging, yells and smashing finally stopped. "Harry come with me, we're going to have a look at room 306." Kazuya then said as he went towards the door, Harry following him.

The two walked out of the room, while everyone else in the room, followed their movement on the cameras. It didn't take them long to enter room 306. Harry could still feel a lingering presence of the spirit, but not enough to buckle his shields, since it was now only the residue of the spirit. The spirit was back in room 308. Harry turned to look at Kazuya, who had turned to face him as well. Harry could tell that he was concerned in case the spirit was still here.

"I think he was just going through the motion of what had happened. It may even have been something that ended up causing his death." Harry suggested as they waited in case something else might happen.

"I think you are right on that one, it did sound like the spirit wanted to do something to stop someone else from doing something. I just wish that we had a better lead on things than just that." He nodded his head.

"Well, lets get back to base," Harry said as he looked around a little more.

"Yes, I think we should have pairs brought in here to see if something will happen with someone in the room." Kazuya suggested.

The two went back to base after a few more minutes. They spent the rest of the night with the occasional pair going into room 306, but nothing else happened. It was coming to midnight when people started drifting off to bed. Lin was the one to take the first watch that, Kazuya would be taking the second watch. Harry wondered if they would ever decided to let people take a watch in pairs.

XxXxX

Harry woke at eight that morning to find John already awake and getting dressed, Monk was still snoring lightly on his bed. Harry quickly dressed and joined John as he made his way to the base room. Kazuya was at the monitors alone, and no one else was inside.

"Morning Kazuya," John and Harry greeted the other as Harry went to the kettle to boil some water for some tea, while John sat down.

"Good morning," he greeted back as he turned to look at them for a moment, "nothing happened during the night, it was silent." He added.

"Right, well, maybe we will have some luck today and we might find out a little more about what is going on here." John said, Harry could help but think of him as being a little too optimistic about what might happen.

Harry made the tea and handed a cup to each of the others before he sat down on one of the armchairs. Harry closed his eyes as he took the first hot sip of tea, he could feel the spirit was still around, once again it was still in room 308. The anger that it was feeling wasn't as intense as it had been yesterday, and Harry had meditated before going to sleep the night before, he had done so in Kazuya's room, since he knew the other teen would be quiet while he did so. Even though he asked a few questions when he was finished.

"I'm wondering something, you said that your family has been Wiccan for a long time, what about those that marry into the family?" John asked as he looked over to the other.

"Well, I know that my mother was a Christian, but when she was around 16 she changed her beliefs to Wicca, its hard to explain why my mother changed, my father didn't care if she was Wiccan or not. Though I think they enjoy sharing beliefs." Harry said after he thought on how to answer.

"Nice to share things with a partner," he smiled, "Though what about you, how have you been brought up, about your own beliefs?" he then asked.

"I wasn't brought up with any, I was to make up my own mind. I was fourteen when I decided to be Wiccan. Its only recently that I have been able to access my families history, you have to be a certain age before I get chance to look over my families journals, or Book of Shadows. It was fascinating to find out that I share beliefs with my family dating back centuries." Harry answered him.

"Book of Shadows, you have read your families, I thought that they were private?" John then asked, Harry could feel his curiosity as well as Kazuya's, since the other was listening in on the conversation, not that he had much choice.

"Some do, my family thinks its better to let other family members read theirs, I have learned a lot of my family history from them, since they don't just contain our spells, potions and poultices, but also the history and the things that they have done." Harry answered him.

"Harry has given me a edited copy of an ancestors book, which only contains the history that she saw. It is very fascinating, so I can understand them recording everything down in their Books." Kazuya said as he turned to face them for a moment.

"You gave one away?" John then asked a little puzzled.

Harry shook his head, "no, not really. I gave a edited version of the book, so that it only contained historical information and nothing to do with family business or magic."

They all turned to the door when it opened; Monk and Ayako walked into the room and sat down. Both still looked a little tired. The last two of the group soon followed them, since Lin would be sleeping a little longer before coming to join them. Mai went over to the teapot and set about making some more tea, since it was empty.

"What are we doing today Naru?" Monk asked as he looked to the young boss.

"Today we will be going into room 308, since nothing else has happened," Kazuya said and then he locked eyes onto Harry for a moment 'Harry will you be all right in going in there?' came Kazuya's voice in Harry's mind.

Harry wanted to snort in amusement, trust Kazuya to find a way to use Harry's own abilities. But then again, he didn't think that the other would be able to make sure that his thoughts go across. Harry looked at him and nodded his head, his shields may not be the best still, but he hoped they would be able to stand up to this spirit, since he needed to test them a little.

"John, Harry and Ayako will be going into to room 308. Miss Hara and Monk, in 306. Talk to the spirit and see if he will interact with you at all. And be careful, he has attacked a number of people, and has even killed one." Kazuya told them, Harry could tell that he was slightly worried about sending them out. "Mai and I will remain here and monitor you all." He added.

"Okay boss," Mai nodded as she handed out the drinks she had made and then moved to sit at the monitors with Kazuya.

"We'll have out drinks and then head out." Monk said as he wrapped his hands around the hot drink.

It didn't take long for them al to drink their drinks. They stood up, each group taking a walkie-talkie with them, and walked out of the room, going to the ones that they were assigned. John and Ayako entered the room before Harry. The young wizard braced himself a little as he entered the room, the anger coming from it had increased the moment that John had walked into the room. Harry walked forwards and into the room, the anger was intense, but at that moment his shields were holding up. He went over and joined John on the bed, Ayako was sitting in one of the armchairs that were in the room.

"Hello, my name is John," John said, Harry could tell that he felt a little silly talking aloud like that, trying to get the attention of the spirit. It did get his attention, but it was only the anger, it intensified a little more.

"I'm Harry," Harry was the next to say something, again the anger was getting worse, and Harry could tell that his shields wouldn't hold for much longer.

"I'm Ayako." The priestess said confidently. There was no reaction to her name being said.

"Could you tell us your name please?" John asked, hoping that he would be able to get an answer.

The anger was intense, but beyond them were the feelings of betrayal, hurt, pain and disbelief. Harry's shields were beginning to break; he needed to get out of there. "I have to get out." Harry mumbled as he got of the bed, stumbling a little as he went for the door.

John also got of the bed to follow him, hoping that he would be able to assist the young teen. The anger spiked and Harry turned around only to be almost thrown out of the room. He hit the wall of the hallway with a dull thud, he slide down it looking into room 308 in a slight daze. John was then pushed out of the room; he tripped up a little and ended up landing on the floor just before Harry. The door slammed shut behind them., trapping Ayako into the room.

"HELP!" she screamed loudly.

Monk and Masako were now in the hallway, the noise of Harry being thrown against the wall and John falling on the floor drawing their attention, not to mention Ayako's screaming. Masako went over to John and helped him sit up as Monk went to the shut door of room 308. two more doors opened, Lin came out of one and Kazuya the other as they rushed over. Kazuya went over to Harry as Lin went to Monk to try and get the door open.

"What happened?" Kazuya asked him quietly.

"The anger was getting more and more intense, especially after John and I introduced ourselves. I was going out of the room because I could feel my shields breaking. It got worse and I was about to tell John and Ayako to hurry and get out of the room, when I was thrown against the wall, John following before I could do anything else." Harry answered his just as quietly.

Lin and Monk were now slamming themselves against the door; it finally opened to a pale looking Ayako. Harry shivered at the anger surrounding the room and that was now swirling around the hallway. Ayako was out of the room and the door was closed once again. Lessoning the emotions a little. Though Harry could feel the fear coming from Ayako, and the worry from the others.

"Lets get back to base." Kazuya then said, taking charge.

Everyone nodded; Monk went over to John and helped him to stand up. The young priest was a little shaking on his feet, but was fine otherwise. Kazuya helped Harry to his, but found that the young wizard could barely hold himself up, his head protesting the movement, leaving him feeing dizzy and weak. Lin walked over and helped Kazuya in getting him back to the base room.

Mai was waiting for them to return, hot tea ready for the to drink and to calm themselves down a little. John was helped over to a chair and a hot cup of tea was pressed into his hands thanks to Mai. She then picked up another and gave it to Ayako. Harry was helped to the sofa where he lay down, covering his eyes with his arm, hoping that the spinning would stop soon.

With a small clink, Ayako put down her tea and went over to Harry and knelt down beside him, "Harry, what's wrong exactly?"

"Just dizzy, a little weak." He answered, not bothering to cover anything up, he just wasn't in the mood to try and hide what was going on.

"Move your arm, let me look at you." She instructed him, as she gently took hold of his arm and moved it out of the way. She looked him over before saying, "doesn't look like you have a concussion, but take it easy for a while."

"Okay," he mumbled as he put his arm back over his eyes.

Lin walked back into the room after changing from his pyjamas. He went over to them all and then asked, "What happened?"

"We were in room 308, John, Harry and I introduced ourselves. Moments later Harry gets up mumbling that he needed to get out of the room. John goes to follow, since Harry looked really unsteady on his feet. Next thing we know Harry was thrown out of the room and so was John. As soon as they were out of the room the door slammed shut, and I couldn't open it." Ayako was the one to answer him.

"We had no temperature drop at all before it happened." Kazuya said, as he had been the one monitoring the rooms. "There was nothing to indicate that something would happen. Miss Hara did you sense anything" he then asked the young medium.

"The spirit was in room 308, but I couldn't get a proper reading on him at all. It was like he was blocking me," She answered him as best as she could; this spirit seemed to like to try and mask what he was doing from her.

"What I would like to know is how and why Harry wanted to leave the room before something even happened?" Ayako said as she looked at the teen that seemed to be dozing.

Harry moved his arm and looked at her, "Gut feeling, I learned to listen to them when I was a kid, saved my life a few times as well." Was his simple answer, though Kazuya knew that it was more than that, "Didn't know that it would be going after John as well, otherwise I would have said something more and maybe even sooner."

"Next time you have one of your gut feelings, let the rest of us know." Ayako sniffed at him, a little annoyed.

"Will do," he mumbled back to her, ignoring the annoyance that was directed at him as his arm went back to covering his eyes.

"Harry," Lin called to him.

"Hmm?" Harry hummed in answer, not bothering to remove his arm this time.

"Why don't you go and lie down for a little while." He suggested to the teen.

"Okay," Harry said as he started to get up, only to fall back down when the dizziness got worse.

Monk went over to him and helped him stand, Lin moving to the other side. The two of them helped Harry back to the bedroom and let him lay down on his bed. Nothing bothering to change out of his clothes Harry closed his eyes and blocked out everything that was going on around him as he sunk into his mindscape, trying to build up his walls even more, the attack had left them badly cracked and liable to break at the slightest thing from the spirit. A spirits emotions were always more tense than a living person, a spirit had nothing else but those emotions that they felt to focus on, making them string the longer that they had been a spirit.

XxXxX

Lin and Monk walked back into the base room and looked at the others, Kazuya was at the monitors and Lin could tell that he was worried about something. The others were sitting down on the sofa and armchairs. Kazuya turned to the two and watched as Lin walked over to him, while Monk went over to the others.

"How was he?" Kazuya asked Lin as he stood next to the young teen.

"I think he went straight to sleep." He answered, "he rolled over closed his eyes and his breathing evened out pretty quickly." He added.

"Meditating then." Kazuya murmured, though Lin heard what he said.

"Why would he need to do that?" he then asked, not quiet understand the green eyed teen that he was now working with.

"He does so before he sleeps, I don't know why." He answered, trying to dodge the question.

"Naru, I know you're lying." Lin shook his head.

Kazuya looked up at him and then said, "It is not for me to say why he does things."

"All right, I'll accept that answer for now. By the way, I think we should keep an eye on him, I can see that you are worried about something, and I think that would be Harry." He said giving him a pointed look.

Kazuya nodded his head, "I am a little, there is a vulnerability about him that can harm him if he isn't careful." He tried to explain without giving anything away.

"Then we'll keep an eye on him and make sure he is always partnered up with someone." Lin suggested.

Kazuya nodded once again, "Yes, I think we'll have to do that. We'll check on him in an hour." He thought, though he didn't sound as though just checking in on him would be a good idea.

Lin picked up on it and the told him, "lets give him half hour and then have someone sit with him I shifts."

"Okay," he agreed as he stood up and walked over to the others, Lin following him. "Listen up, this is voluntary but I am giving Harry half hour to get to sleep, as I know he will protest if someone is watching over him before he goes to sleep, afterwards someone will need to stay with him. I am saying we all do an hour or two, making sure that he is all right." He told the others as they all paid attention to him.

"That's fine with me." John nodded as he agreed, one by one they all did.

The group quickly sorted out who was to watch over him and when. After that they once again split up, going to the others rooms and looking around. As for room 308, it was once again out of bounds for them all. Kazuya wanted to see if he could gain information on the spirit in another way before he walked in there. If not, then tomorrow they would all go in as a group and not just two or three. Lin stayed with Kazuya as they looked over the video and audio feeds. Though Lin did watch the video of when Harry and John were attacked, just to make sure he knew exactly what had happened, though Harry's behaviour as he was going into the room did puzzle the older male.

XxXxX

It had been almost eight hours since Harry had gone back to bed and it was Kazuya's turn to watch over him for an hour. He had brought all the notes that had been made to see if he could find something that he had missed so far. There was something, there had to be, it was there, Kazuya knew that and he was determined to try and find out what was going on. The teen on the bed soon drew his attention when he started to move around, muscles twitching every now and then with a slight moan and sound coming from him.

"Careful…" came a whispered word from the sleeping wizard.

"Harry?" Kazuya questioned.

With the calling of his name, Harry's green eyes opened wide and locked on to Kazuya, "Naru, get to John, he's in danger, the spirit is right next to him and the anger is even more than what it was when it got John and I." He told the teen quickly, hoping that he would get moving to help the priest.

Kazuya nodded his head as he darted from the room. He could see John at the end of the hallway coming back from the elevator. It was too late for him to say anything as John went flying against the wall as Kazuya shouted, "John!"

The shout Kazuya and the yell from John drew the attentions of the others; Monk reacted quickly as he began his chant, driving the spirit away for a moment. They rushed over to John, Ayako kneeling down and checking him over. Thankfully she only found bruises and a small gash on his arm from a piece of broken wood. John was helped up and taken to the bedroom, where Harry was now sitting up on the edge of the bed, getting ready to try and stand up.

"Stay where you are Harry." Kazuya told the pale teen as he and Monk helped John onto his bed.

"Did…" Harry started to ask as Lin walked into the room, Mai following him, the two of them had been in base room.

"Naru, you ran out of the bedroom, just before the attack and then shouted to him, how did you know?" Lin asked the teen, wondering what had happened.

"That's my fault, I had a bit of a weird dream, a gut feeling on top of that, that something was going to happen to John and that it would happen soon. I had hoped I reacted fast enough to stop anything from happening, but from the way John looks, it seems that I didn't." Harry answered for Kazuya.

"Then thank you Harry," John said, as he looked no worse for wear. "I think something even worse could have happened if you didn't give a warning to Kazuya." He added his gratitude.

"It was Naru's yell for John that caused me to come out of the room to them." Monk added as he looked at the teen with a slightly curious frown on his face.

"Why don't the two of you rest a little while." Ayako said as she looked from the pale and shaken John, to the pale Harry that was still sat on the edge of his bed.

"Dinner will be brought up in about an hour, so why don't you rest until then?" Mai suggested as she went over to her school friend and sat down next to him.

Harry could feel that she was worried about him, "I can see that your worried about me Mai, I'm fine." He whispered to her, hoping it would help a little.

"You don't look it though Harry, you look so tired, and ill." She said softly as she looked him over.

"Some warm food in me and Ill be fine," he told her, though he could tell that he didn't convince her that he would be well any time soon. "How are you John?" he then asked the priest, hoping to get Mai's mind off of him and on to someone else.

"A little shaken, though I don't think I was thrown against the wall as hard as you was, since I'm not dizzy. The main thing is the cut on my arm." He smiled as he answered and lifted up his arm for Harry to see.

"I'll be taking care of that now," Ayako said as she walked back into the room with a first aid kit in her hands. She sat on the edge of John's bed and started to clean the gash.

"See, I'll be fine in a bit." John smiled as he looked at everyone.

Ayako quickly cleaned and then bandaged his arm, "Keep it still for a while and let it close up." She told him when she had finished.

"I will," he agreed.

"Now rest for a while, we'll come and get the both of you for dinner." Ayako told them, her voice broke no arguments from the two on the beds as Harry reluctantly got back on to his and lay down once again. He had to admit to himself that he was still feeling a little at odds with himself. Though he thought that it was more to do with his dream of John getting hurt that it was about what happened that morning.

"You missed lunch you know," John said as the others all left the room, leaving the two alone.

"I gathered," he smiled as he looked over to the priest.

"We were worried when you didn't wake." He added as he looked to the teen ad then said a little more, "I think Kazuya was worried the most."

"I was just tired from what happened, that's all." Harry told him.

"Maybe Harry, but it still worried us, and now having a dream and telling Kazuya to come warn me, it's a little worrying as well." The priest said as he settled down on his bed.

Harry sighed a little, "I used to have dreams like that a lot when I was in England, silly dreams that you have to figure out to find out what they mean, I haven't had them in almost a year, I thought that they had finally stopped and left me alone. Guess not."

"What do the dreams usually tell you?" John asked him, a little curious as to what could be going on.

Harry glanced over to him and then answered, "They usually come when someone I know, or care about is in danger, or even when I myself is in danger." He paused for a moment before adding softly, "They always show something in the future, and it's the one thing I don't really want to know about."

"You do what you need to Harry, even if it is coming to terms with the dreams you have." John told him wisely.

Harry thought for a moment and then nodded his head; "I don't think I will be having much choice in the matter in the end, but then again. It will just be something that I will have to get used to again."

"Yep," John grinned over to him.

Harry grinned back and settled back and slipped away into his mindscape, once again making sure the walls he had were reinforced once again. It wouldn't do for them to fall now. He would have to ask Headmaster Dumbledore if he knew of anything that could help him build stronger and longer lasting shields. Though it would mean that he would have to come clean with him about his empathy. In the long run, it would be a small price to pay.

Dinner came and went, the only bump was when Kazuya and Lin were insisting that Harry go to bed instead of taking his shift like he was going to. In the end he had to give in, since Ayako started going on at him, and Mai was pulling a face at him and threatening him a little. Sleep took a while to take Harry this time, though in the end he finally did succumb, it was only when Lin and Kazuya changed over for their shifts at the monitors.
