Chapter Fourteen
Early Monday evening found Abby sitting on the window ledge seat of what was now her home, with the window open allowing in the cool evening breeze, as she watch the funeral procession leave the mansion heading for the large clearing in the woods. She had managed persuade her so called 'mate' that she wasn't well enough yet to return to work after her miscarriage and he continued to fuss and do anything she ordered just to appease her, much to her delight.
A smirk had ran across her face when she had first seen the man, that had taken Gibbs away from her, emerging alone from the conservatory dressed entirely in black and looking completely desolate, that was until the pack Alpha emerged moments later and enveloped him, in what Abby could tell was a strong and comforting hug.
The pack had soon gathered on the patio before heading off. Seeing Tim lead the head of the procession, as head mourner with Gibbs less than a step behind, made Abby's hatred for the young wolf grow, even with the death of his entire pack, Gibbs obviously still intended to keep his mate, something which went against pack traditional, even when the mate was female, after all with the McGee's family gone Tim was officially an Alpha, even if there was no pack, and Alpha's didn't marry Alpha's, even if they were female.

Monday evening had come round all too fast for Tim, though he had to admit to being grateful that he had not had to arrange anything as the inner circle made all the necessary arrangements, leaving him free to grieve in private with the loving support of him mate, who stayed continuously at his side, even when their last mating attempted had failed, since then Tim's inner wolf had presented no desire to show herself, which had only increased Tim's anguish.
He looked at the bonfire built to house the dead bodies of his family in the traditional method used for generations too cremate their bodies, when the fire was over their ashes would be washed into the ground, leaving no evidenced they had ever existed and this upset Tim more than he cared to admit. As more of the pack arrived to show their final respects, Tim was continuously aware of his mate's presence, standing just a step behind and to Tim's left as tradition required, since Tim was the only remaining member of the McGee pack.
All the other members of the inner circle were close by, in the outer mourning circle, leaving Tim and Gibbs alone as the primary mourners, so unlike the last funeral Tim had attended, for his Grandfather and Uncle, when he along with the rest of the family had held this position equally. Struggling briefly for a moment as that memories flashed in his mind, Tim was grateful for the gentle squeeze on his left shoulder, before Gibbs hand ran down his back, stilling as he silently nodded his appreciation to his mate, before looking over to Vance indicating he was ready for the flamed torch.
Gibbs watched his mate carefully, like he had ever since they had received the news, he knew this evenings events were going to be hard on Tim, once the bonfire was lit, the howling ceremony would commence and wouldn't stop until the flames died, then the official period of mourning would end and life would return to normal.
Normal that was a laugh, nothing about this was normal, a complete pack family, less one, had been destroyed in one hit, and it was obvious to anyone that saw the bodies that there was no way the cause of death had been a simple car accident, but Gibbs was drawn out of his reflection as he felt Tim shudder, so he gently squeezed his shoulder before letting his hand run down his mates back, showing him his continued support.
As Alpha of this pack he would normally lead any funeral service the pack required, but he was not the Alpha of the McGee pack, that position was now Tim's, even though there were no other members of the pack family left, so it was up to his mate to lead the funeral service. Gibbs was just grateful, and proud, that his inner circle had taken all the strain in making the arrangements, dealing with the staff as they built the bonfire in the largest of the openings in the forest that was part of the packs domain.
Watching Tim give the signal that he was ready, Gibbs focused his attention back to the here and now, as Vance brought over the flaming torch and silently handing it over to his mate. Once Tim had the torch in his hand he took several deep breathes before moving forward and lowering the torch onto the touch paper that had be specifically placed to ease the starting of the fire, Gibbs waited for Tim to step back as the fire took hold before he took the other flame torch that was now being offered to him by Tony.
Gibbs nodded his thanks and as Tim stepped back, he stepped forward, taking the first torch from his mate and simultaneously throwing them onto the top of the bonfire, as the torches landed Tim howling started, stepping back to stand next to him Gibbs joined him, slowly one by one the howling grew ever louder, as in pack order, the howl was joined by all those present.

Abby could see the smoke as it began to rise in the distance and it wasn't long until she could hear the mourning howls as the majority of the pack supported the newest member of their pack in mourning the loose of his family. Abby knew that she, would never have to face something like that, as she had several relations that the other members of the pack were not aware of, including those in Australia.
Sick of the display of support, Abby closed the window, effectively shutting out the noise. She was thankful that at least part of her original plan to try and get rid of the new wolf had worked, even if the rest of her plan had seemingly failed. In Abby's mind Tim was now very much isolated, even if Gibbs and the support of the rest of the pack seemed strong, if she worked it right it would only be a matter of time before she could get that support to disappear. She needed a new plan to get rid of him completely and to get Gibbs to take her as his mate like he was meant to.

As the flames died so did the howling, exhausted, not only from the effort of strength he had tried to display, but from the constant never ending howl, Tim's legs finally buckled beneath him and if it hadn't been for the strong arms of his mate, Tim would have found himself face down in the dirt.
Gibbs caught his mate as his knees gave way, a none all too common occurrence that happened at funerals, when leading funeral members gave into their grief and exhausted themselves in the howl, Gibbs had been ready for it, having seen it too many times before, as the howl died down and pack members quietly dispersed, Gibbs comforted his mate, muttering his praise at how well Tim had handle the whole ordeal, before gently helping him back to his feet, with Ron's help, and leading him back towards the mansion, he had plans for the remainder of the evening that would show his mate how very much he was loved.
Tim let Gibbs comfort him and listened to the words of praise his mate showered on him, he was only vaguely aware of being helped back to his feet and being moved away from what was now only smouldering remains of the bonfire that had house the now cremated bodies of his pack family.
Tim's awareness didn't fully return until he realised that he and Gibbs were back in their private quarters, in their master bedroom and that Gibbs was caressing his now completely naked body, shuddering under the gentle touch both Tim and Gibbs were taken by surprise when Tim turned into wolf form for the first time since the failed mating the previous Thursday.
"Yeah?" Gibbs said teasingly, as Tim whimpered in shock at his sudden and unexpected change, before laughingly continuing "Well two of us can play at the game"
Gibbs quickly finished removing his remaining clothes, his boxers and socks, before turning into wolf form himself, they'd never made out as wolves on the bed, but Gibbs wasn't adverse to the idea and he was not about to complain either, if Tim's female wolf side was wanting his attention then she could most certainly have it.

The pack was noisy as it returned to the mansion, catching Abby off guard in the main entrance hall as she was making her way towards the packs library, for some research.
"Ah Mrs Donaldson, so glad to see you're better" Vance enthused falsely
"Leon, I…." Abby started but found herself being cut off
"Good, good, that means you can return to work in the morning"
"What….no"
"Good night Mrs Donaldson" Vance said dismissively as he lead his wife Jackie up the stairs, hearing giggles behind, Abby swirled round to face Ziva and Kate, with Tony, Ron and several other members of the pack not far behind all appearing to enjoy the show.
"What are you giggling at!" Abby demanded
"Oh nothing" Ziva replied flippantly all the while not even attempting to hide the smile that spread across her features, Abby just glared at her before storming off back the way she came, completely enraged at the mockery she had just been forced to endure in front of so many pack members, without ever making it to the library.

Gibbs growled possessively as the smell of a successful mating filled his nostrils, a Tim whimpered sadly beneath him, knowing the reason why Gibbs just nuzzled his face to Tim's and stilled his movements, keeping his manhood deeply buried in his mate in an effort to reassure him that not only was he not alone but that everything was going to be alright.
Tim whimpered as Gibbs growled, when the indications of a successful mating filled the air, he knew he should be happy, but right now he felt anything but, as he realised his new child would only have the pack and no one from his own blood family would be a part of his/her life.
After nuzzling Tim for a long time, Gibbs slowly started thrusting into his mate, his plan for the evening had been to do this continuously in human form, but doing it in wolf form was somehow even more important as he was determined to show his mate how much he meant to him, especially as he was expect to be at NCIS headquarters in the morning. He was taking Tim, there too as there was no way he was leaving his mate at home alone, any time soon.
Tim fell into an exhausted sleep as Gibbs continued his administrations, so missed the next two times the mating scent occurred. Gibbs had been taken by surprise after he came, when the scent rose for the second time, that he had immediately, but gently, withdrawn himself from his mate in wonder, only to be shocked when a third scent quickly followed, even if the last scent was slightly weaker than its predecessors.
Multiple pregnancies were not unheard of in wolf packs, twin pregnancy did occasionally happen, but they were extremely rare, and the irony was not lost on Gibbs, Tim was himself a rare commodity being a true omega, but Gibbs had never heard of a triple pregnancy. Smirking to himself, as he laid there contentedly watching his mate sleep, admiring how young and innocent he looked, Gibbs marvelled at the joy he would be able to witness as he informed Tim of the triple scenting and laughed silently as he pictured the faces of his inner circle when they also became aware. Not that Gibbs was going to let that happen any time soon, he was going to ensure that this remained something private that only he, his mate and Ducky, sworn to secrecy of course, would be aware of for the time being
Just a quick note to wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!
