I am so very sorry that this has taken so long. I have been hard at work with work and about six different stories floating around in my head. Anyway, I hope people read this story still. I enjoy writing it, but I want some feed back.

Also, I will be posting a Naruto story and a One Piece story-both with original characters. Thanks.

Peace!

Kodochi opened her eyes slowly. She had jumped from a cliff and somehow landed safely. She looked around at her surroundings. The steep cliff was to her right, a few small boulders strewn here and there all around her, and nothing but dirt below her. She looked to the left. There was another cliff and there was a small bit of brush around the base of it.

'I am glad that you are awake, Kodochi.'

'How am I alive?'

'I will explain it when you get here. You see the brush, correct?'

'Yes.'

'Go to it. There is a small opening behind it. You must go inside the side of the mountain to find me. The tunnel will lead you directly to me, Kodochi.'

She stood and tucked the brown hair that had fallen out of the small red ribbon back into place. Kodochi reached the brush in no time and started pushing it out of her way. It was easy to find the small cave that the voice had told her about. She checked for any spiders, snakes, or other surprises. Before starting her crawl into darkness she took one knife out of each boot and held the handles tightly with the blades being lightly pressed against her inner arm.

The passageway was tight for someone of Kodochi's size. It was obvious that no man had ever gotten through it-unless they were the size of a child. The jagged walls of the small corridor were tugging at Kodochi's clothes and skin. She could feel a few droplets of blood coming out of small scratches on her face and arms. Just as she was ready to start screaming her frustrations she fell through an opening that was the end of the passage way.

She was in a cave inside the mountain. It was dimly lit by the small stones that were in the top of the cavern. She slipped the small knives she had been prepared to use earlier back into their place inside the lining of her boots and scanned the glowing rocks around her.

'Some things are just a bit too much for me.'

'It is chemical reaction, between the quarts and phosphorus found here. You will learn to identify things as we train.'

'Where are you?'

'Walk to the center of the cave.'

Kodochi did as she was told. In the center of the cavity was a mound of dead plants of all sorts. Kodochi instinctively began moving them off to the side. There was hole that was full of more withered up plant bits so she reached inside of it. There were vines among the decay that were still living strong and they all seemed to lead to one area. Up to mid-humorous in rotted vegetation, Kodochi stretched her fingers as far as they would go and nearly jumped when she felt cold metal just against the tips.

Purely out of curiosity Kodochi plunged her entire arm into the hole and grabbed the metallic object. The vines that were still living made it very difficult for her to pull her arm from the sinkhole with the mystery item but after some clever maneuvering she was able to free herself.

After wiping away the rotted leaves and buds she realized that the thing she had pulled from the hole in the middle of the small cave floor was a sheathed sword. It greatly resembled the zanpaktous that the few soul reapers she had seen were carrying. The sword pulsated in her hands. When she unsheathed the sword there was a bright light that pushed her back and she landed hard on the ground underneath her.
