"Are you crazy? You can't have a Pokémon as your scout! No one does that!" Violeta was upset that Evan had asked Mr. Sill that Rosa be his scout. He didn't seem too thrilled about it. In fact, he sent Evan off and told him to think it over some more. "He's probably going to be upset with me now since I'm the one who trained you…" The three were back in Evan's room. Violeta pacing back and forth a few times as Evan and Rosa sat on the bed.
"Well maybe it could work, her eyes are great in the dark." Evan tried to help calm Violeta down, it just wasn't working much.
"Evan, it doesn't matter. I'll still probably get in deep trouble for this." She sighed, taking off her thin black jacket and revealing her gray long sleeved shirt underneath.
"Why would you get in that much trouble? Or any at all? It isn't your fault." Evan asked, curious as to what she meant. It really wasn't a big deal to him.
"Because he's just super strict Evan, that's why!" She nearly yelled this in a frustrated tone and eyed him, now standing in one spot and attempting to calm herself down.
"What do you mean? He has that much control over you?" Evan decided to pester her a bit, hoping he could get more information on whatever she was talking about. It didn't seem like being strict was the problem. Or at least not the only one.
"It's...not important." Violeta accidentally paused as she spoke, now looking away from Evan.
"You sure it isn't?" He noticed how uneasy she seemed and he cared. Evan wanted to know what was going on inside of her.
"I don't know, but it shouldn't matter to you. You're just here to work." Violeta didn't want to say that, but she just wanted him to stay focused on his missions. Not her.
"You're right...but if I had a choice. If I wasn't being forced to kill, I wouldn't be here right now. I'd probably be dead up there with the rest of civilization, and I'm not sure which is worse. I just know that I'm trapped in this...whatever this is." Evan kind of stood up to her statement, being slightly upset at it.
"I am too." She replied in a calmer tone, taking a deep and silent breath.
"What?" Now he was confused, it seemed like she knew a lot about this place.
"You aren't the only one who's stuck here Evan. That's all...now if you really want Rosa to work with you, we'll have to see what she can do. Bring her down to the training room tomorrow afternoon, same one I worked in with you." Violeta sighed and made her way out of Evan's room.
He watched her until she disappeared behind the door, then laid back on his bed next to Rosa. "You'll ace it Rosa, you're smart and capable." Evan draped his arm over her side as she rested on her stomach near him. "You'll make a great field partner, we'll prove anyone who doubts you wrong." After laying down for an hour or so, he got Rosa some berries from the small kitchen and went back to the bed. Evan sill didn't have much of an appetite, he was feeling constantly depressed and still felt some leftover trauma from his first kill at that. As long as Rosa ate, he would be fine.
Rosa was pretty sad that Evan wouldn't eat, but she understood and decided to just let that go. Finishing off her berries and laying back down on the bed.
Evan was thinking about what Violeta had said earlier now. 'I am too' kept replaying itself in his head, he hoped she was okay. Maybe Evan would ask about it tomorrow. It seemed like the longer he stayed. The more he couldn't trust this place.
