Chapter 14

Resurrected Evil

In the middle of the Sahara desert there was a large but rusted airship that was once known as the Black Noah. The location it was currently in was a hidden missile base that was secretly built by a powerful crime lord that was the previous owner to the Black Noah and that was Rugal Bernstein. For over three years the ship had laid dormant and uninhibited by anyone since the King of Fighters tournament in 1995, though that was all about to change and not for the better.

From out of nowhere a portal opened and a figure stepped out from the magical gate, walking onto the deck of the ship. Goenitz looked around the ship that had been used for the KOF tournament years ago before nodding and made his way over to the Captains quarters.

"I will have to be quick about this as the gate will only be open for a few hours. At least I know how to work the magic gate so I can come and go as I please, so I will have to revive my first servant and then the rest of my followers."

It was then Leopold heard something and looked around the ship wondering where the sound was coming from? Silently making his way over to the railing of the ship he saw that he was not alone and could only frown in annoyance.

There were a couple of mercenary's that was camping outside of the ship, at least fifteen, chatting among their selves while drinking and counting their stolen goods. Though they were of no threat to his plans he decided to get rid of the unwanted pests and with that in mind he began channeling his Ki to perform a powerful wind attack.

Down below the ship…

The group of mercenary's had been relaxing from their raid on a city in the United States. They had discovered this old missile base two years ago and had used it as a hideout for some time and to store their ill gotten wealth in the empty ship. One of the soldiers looked to their leader.

"Hey Luke now that we finished that contract from two weeks ago, do we got anymore work or are we going to chill out for a while?"

The one called look was calmly smoking on a cigarette and polishing his gun, cleaning off the dirt it had before responding.

"For now Jack we are going to lay low for a while as I don't need the FBI finding us anytime soon considering we tried stealing some gold from that bank back in Dallas, Texas. We'll need to choose our next job carefully."

The group nodded as they had no desire to end up in prison. One of them was looking around nervously at the ship that they had taken as refuge in and honestly didn't want to be anywhere nears it. Jack who noticed him could only frown and spoke in annoyance.

"Jesus Mike, when the hell are you going to stop getting all spooked out about this ship being haunted?"

The one called Mike looked over at Jack and frowned.

"Don't any of you realize that this ship once belonged to Rugal Bernstein? Rumor has it he died here and that his spirit haunts this place even now and I don't like the idea of sleeping in this place."

"Seriously dude we've been living here for over two years and nothing has happen, so will you quit acting like a chicken shit and just relax already?"

Before anything could be said a giant gust of wind came from out of nowhere, causing everyone to fly off in different directions. Those who were lucky enough to land safely managed to only get a couple bruises. Those who were not lucky ended up having their necks snapped on impact from the force they were hit with.

Luke looked around wondering where the hell that wind came from, but decided it was more important to see if his team was alive. He started calling out to Jack and anyone else that was listening and was hopefully still alive. Hearing the moaning sounds of his men he let off a sigh of relief though he had a feeling that not all of them survived.

"Is everyone all together here?"

"I'm here Luke, and so is Mike."

The rest of his soldiers also made their presences known but then Luke noticed that six of his men were missing and wondered if they were alive or not. The leader of the mercenary's didn't like what was going on and pulled out his pistol ready for anything unexpected. Seeing their leader drawing his weapon the others began arming their selves as well with their own guns, three of them carrying AK-47's.

No one made a sound as they waited for whatever it was that blew them away to appear. They didn't have to wait long as the winds began to stir up once more causing everyone to look around wondering what was causing this to happen, but then right before their eyes a figure appeared and they had saw what or rather who it was.

The Hakkesshu of the Wind, Leopold Goenitz had appeared before the group of scared mercenary's.

"Who the hell are you?"

"My name is not important, other than the fact you will die here and now if you don't leave this place at once."

Luke and his men didn't say anything and began to open fire on their unwanted guest. Leopold was not bothered by the bullets as he simply summoned a huge guest of wind, causing the projectiles to be forced back at his enemy's, killing a few of them but Luke, Mike and Jack managed to duck for cover avoiding the same fate as their team.

When the hailstorm ended the three mercenary's got up and went pale as they saw their allies' dead, wondering how the hell one man was able to do all this? So they decided to do the next best thing and started running away from the old ship toward their hidden chopper not wanting to die anytime soon.

Goenitz considered going after the three but decided against it as he didn't want to waste any more time with a bunch of no name mercenary's and decided to return to the Black Noah for he needed to revive one of his followers that had died here and he had just the thing. Reaching toward the leather pouch on his belt he brought out a purple like crystal that was about the size of a baseball but it was glowing with much power.

"With this Stone of Spirits I can bring back who I wish from the dead but I must make sure there is a certain amount of leftover energy from when that person died or at least have a body or blood sample of that person. Luckily Rugal was using the power of Orochi so it will not be difficult."

With those words he made his way to the ship to fulfill his planes for revenge.

Back in the other world with Terry…

Terry Bogard was in a cabin that Melissa and her friends usually went to when they needed to rest and relax from adventuring. Louie and his friends were with them and everyone was currently talking about the upcoming dual between Terry and Melissa's unwanted suitor Conrad with Melissa surprisingly stating that Terry would be the winner of the dual.

"So you don't believe that Conrad isn't someone Terry should worry about?" Genie asked the Mylee priestess as she sat on the bed with Ila while Terry leaned against the wall. His students were sitting at a small table discussing not only the dual but their upcoming assignments for the guild.

Melissa couldn't help but let off a confident sound while smiling.

"I may not have seen Conrad in over a few years but I know there is no way he will be able to defeat Terry, even if he were to train all his life there would be no way someone like him could defeat anyone in a sword fight, even a novice."

"Man if this guy is as weak as you say then bro will have no problem beating this guy at all." Louie commented as he was reading over some notes.

Before anything else could be said the door burst open surprising everyone as they saw Merrill running in with a look of disbelief on her face.

"You guys are NOT going to believe what I just saw!"

"What's the matter Merrill?"

The young thief looked over at Melissa taken a few deep breaths to calm herself before responding.

"I just saw that Conrad guy take out four armed men within a minute like it was nothing!"

The Mylee priestess and everyone else became shocked when they heard this before she began shaking her head in denial.

"That can't be true! There is no way someone like him would be able to accomplish something like that!"

"I know what I saw Melissa, and I didn't want to believe it ether."

"No way, that's a load of crap."

Both Melissa and Merrill looked over at Louie who was frowning at the young thief before he continued on.

"Seriously Merrill are you trying to get everyone worried over nothing?"

"You think that I would make something like this up?"

"Well you weren't honest the first time so you're probably doing this just to try and scar Terry."

Before anything could be said or insults thrown Ila stood up and started getting everyone's attention.

"Let's calm down everyone and let's hear what happen before making any judgments."

Once everyone was silent she looked over at Merrill.

"So were exactly did you see this happen?"

"It had happen around this one jewelry shop and I was cleaning out some chimneys that I do for a side job and I saw that they were taking the shop keepers daughter. When they were about to run off that Conrad guy confronted them demanding they stop. The burglars than drew their swords ready to fight them and then he drew his own and before I know it he took them all down like it was nothing!"

Terry who had been silent while listening got and went over to Merrill causing the others to look at him before asking.

"Merrill do you think you can take us to where this fight happened?"

The brunette was wondering why he was asking to be taken there but decided to humor him since she figured he didn't believe her and her students felt the same way so with a nod she gestured for everyone to follow her causing everyone to leave the cabin.

The Lone Wolf then looked over at Louie.

"Louie I want you to head back to the magic guild really quick and meet us at where Merrill saw Conrad fighting those bandits."

"Why?"

"I want you to bring that artifact you found during our training journey."

The step-son of Carwes thought over what he meant before snapping his fingers and nodding, quickly taken off to the magic guild making everyone but Kika and Terry wonder what he was going to retrieve.

The streets of Ohfun…

"So this is where the robbery took place and Conrad stopped them?" Terry asked Merrill as he and everyone else were at where she saw the event take place.

"Yup, this is the spot and I don't think I'll ever forget what happen after tonight."

Ila, Kika and Thomas were with them while Edward had went back to the guild stating he had to look over one of his books for his report tomorrow and they were wondering what was taking Louie so long? Thomas decided to ask Terry on what he wanted Louie to retrieve for them.

"Terry-sensei I am curious on what you wanted Louie to retrieve for you and what it has to do with what happen with Conrad?"

The Lone Wolf looked to his student and smiled.

"You'll see in a minute Thomas as it's a rare magic artifact from ancient times."

Hearing this, his students and while Melissa and her friends didn't show it they were interested to see what this artifact was that held magic. The group then heard Louie calling over to them and saw him running up carrying a leather pouch and stopped before them.

"Sorry I'm a little late guy's but you are so goanna love this!"

"What exactly is in the bag?" Ila asked her friend.

Louie reached into the pouch and pulled out a crystal for everyone to see. It was a diamond shape like crystal and was colored the purest white that glittered lightly while letting off a faint glow. Merrill seeing the crystal was wondering what it was worth and began considering on how to take it from him as it could fetch a heavy price on the market. Genie was curious about it and was the first to ask.

"What exactly is so special about that crystal you are holding?"

"This is no ordinary crystal Genie, this is a magic crystal called…The Crystal of Memories." (1)

This caused both of Ila and Thomas to gasp in surprise when they heard this though Melissa was wondering on why they were getting excited.

"Do you two know something about that crystal?"

Ila nodded and began to explain to Jenny's disciple.

"The Crystal of Memories is a rare magical artifact that dates back over one thousand years ago and there were only ten made in existence. The ability they had was being able to see into the past on any location that holds vivid memories for you and it stores them into it. With it you can look into the past at anytime you want to relieve the memory."

Louie nodded to his friend who decided to add his own input.

"The best thing about this one is that it can pick up any mana left over and can even look farther into the past even if you weren't there!"

Thomas couldn't help but smile as he understood on why Terry wanted Louie to retrieve it as even he had doubts about what Merrill told them and this would show them how good Conrad really is.

Without another word Louie walked over to the spot that Merrill had seen the dual and held the crystal in front of him which started to glow before speaking to it.

"Crystal of Memories, show me the past events of what had taken place here before me."

The magical artifact began to glow brightly as it shot out a small beam of light around the area in front of them which began to show ghostly images of the events that had taken place amazing everyone present. They were soon watching what had happen and even heard what the astral projections were saying with the shop keeper begging to the bandits.

"Please take everything in the store just leave my daughter be!"

"Shut up!"

Terry and the others winced seeing the old man get kicked by the leader of the thugs and saw that the few civilians that were around were too frighten to do anything until a voice was heard.

"Stop right there!"

The group turned around to see the blonde knight on a white horse glaring down at the criminals in distaste. The leader of the group spoke up.

"Who do you think you are? If you try and stop us, we WILL kill you!"

"I Conrad a knight of Ramliearth will fight against you in the name of justice!"

Conrad got off his horse, with the bandits holding their swords ready to strike at him with Conrad drawing his own sword, pointing blade first at his enemy.

"Come here, it's time you and I dance together shall I lead?"

Before the eyes of everyone present the four men charged in at Conrad only to be strike down within a minute, causing the four of them to drop to the ground with the blonde knight not even looking winded. The image then ended leaving everyone with shocked expressions as they couldn't believe what they had just saw and Louie had his mouth hanging open in disbelief before turning toward Melissa and pointed a accusing finger at her.

"Melissa you liar! You told us that Conrad wasn't that skilled with a sword! He could probably beat both Genie and Kika without any trouble!"

"I hate to say it but I have to agree with Louie on this one." Genie said even though she didn't like the idea someone like Conrad was this skilled. Kika didn't want to say anything but even she felt a little nervous after seeing what Melissa's unwanted suitor could do with a blade and hoped her sensei would be able to beat this clown.

"T-That can't be real, it can't be!" Melissa was shaken her head in denial despite what she saw. Merrill could see the look of fright in the blonde woman's eyes and could only feel bad before looking over at Terry wondering how he felt but became surprised that he didn't show any fear at all.

(How can this guy not be scared after what he just saw?)

The Lone Wolf had seen and heard everything that he had needed to know and he couldn't help but be disgusted toward Melissa's fiancée.

(I knew it, that jerk Conrad is nothing but a FAKE! Gave up the ways of magic my foot, hell at least Shingo actually worked for his skills.)

"Are you all right Terry-sensei?"

Terry looked over at Ila who looked concern as did the others wondering how he felt at what he just saw before responding back to them.

"I'm fine everyone so let's go back to the guild and rest for tomorrow I got some training to do with Genie."

Everyone was wondering why he was acting calm about this after what they saw, though Melissa was the most outspoken as she felt that Terry was just putting on a brave bravado act to hide his fears.

"How can you be so calm after seeing this?"

"Melissa are you going to doubt me now before the fight has even begun?"

Jenny's disciple didn't know what to say as she honestly wanted to take back at what she said to Conrad but it was already done. She didn't want to marry Conrad at all but it seemed that her unwanted fiancée just wouldn't leave her alone. Melissa held her head down as she couldn't look Terry in the eyes. Seeing the Mylee priestess act like this the Lone Wolf could only sigh.

"Look we'll worry about it later but for now everyone let's get some sleep. Genie I need you to stay for a moment."

Genie was wondering on what he wanted, but decided to hear him out as he was willing to help her friend Melissa so she nodded before turning to the others.

"This probably won't take long so I'll meet with you two later."

Both of her friends thought over it for a moment before nodding and headed toward their resting quarters hoping that whatever happens between Genie and Terry would go well. Once everyone was had left, the red haired swordswoman looked to the Lone Wolf.

"So what is it?"

"Genie I want to ask you a question?"

"And that is?"

"You've worn armor before haven't you?"

"Yes I have what about it?"

"When you had first worn it, what was it like for you?"

"What does any of this have to do with your dual against Conrad?" Genie asked getting impatient with his questions.

"Please just answer my question."

Sighing in frustration Genie decided to answer.

"The first time that I wore armor, it was very hard to move in and it weighed a lot. I had to build up my strength and continue to wear it while I was training in the army to be able to move around with it on, without any trouble. So where are you going with this?"

Terry smiled as he decided to answer.

"Where I'm going with this, is that I know for certain that Conrad is NOT the honorable knight he claims to be."

"What do you mean?"

"When we first meet him, did you notice anything off about him?"

Genie thought over back to when she had first seen Melissa's unwanted suitor trying to figure out what Andy Bogards brother was getting at before she then remembered when he was leaving the temple of Mylee.

"Now that I think about it, Conrad almost looked out of breath just running a couple of feet before walking off like it were nothing, though he still looked like he was having trouble moving around in that armor."

"Exactly, you would think that someone who gave up magic years ago wouldn't have any trouble if he became a knight now wouldn't he?"

The red haired swordswoman's eyes widen slightly as she figured out what he was pointing out.

"Terry are you saying that Conrad isn't as skilled as he claims to be?"

The Lone Wolf nodded causing Genie to shake her head in disbelief at what she was being told by him.

"But that can't be, you, me and everyone else saw just how skilled he was in using that sword! There could be no way he is using magic!"

"I have a hunch, but for now we need to start training tomorrow and Genie I don't want you telling this to anyone, not even my students or Melissa."

"What, are you serious?" Genie couldn't believe what she was hearing from him and wondered why he didn't want anyone to know.

"I am dead serious about this Genie."

"But why can't the others know about this?"

"I have a couple of good reasons on why I don't want you telling them."

"And just what are those reasons?"

Terry stared deeply into Genie's eyes causing her to gulp and flinch from his stare as he began speaking to her.

"The first reason on why I don't want you to say anything to Melissa is because I am teaching her a lesson in humility."

"Teaching her humility?" Genie asked in disbelief.

"You may not like it but Melissa needs to grow up and stop thinking that the world is like some fairy tale that she read as a child, and before you say she wouldn't think anything like that you can even ask Head Priestess Jenny, and I am sure you have seen her think like this before too."

The red-haired swordswoman wanted to deny what was just said to her but then realized that she would only be lying to herself as she and Merrill did agree that Melissa did overdo the whole fairy tale nonsense when they were on adventures together and couldn't help but sigh before she looked over at Terry.

"So what is your second reason for wanting me to keep quiet about this?"

"The second reason is that I know one of my students will want to help out, but I rather deal with Conrad with my own two hands and not cheat like that creep."

"Which one of your students are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about Ila."

"You honestly think she would do something like that?"

"Ila is a very smart girl and I have a feeling she's going to find out like I did tonight about Conrad and what he's really like."

"That still doesn't make it right to hide this from Melissa."

The Lone Wolf looked to the red-haired swordswoman before making a suggesting.

"Then how about this, tomorrow you and I will have our own dual, but with training swords, and if you win then you're free to tell your friends but if I win then you keep quiet about it and we still train and perhaps you can learn something from me while I learn something from you."

Genie rolled her eyes wondering on what he could probably teach her, someone who was a veteran soldier from the army, while he was just some brawler who was probably a battle mage though she decided to humor him and perhaps best him tomorrow in a dual though she just had to ask.

"Just exactly how good are you with a sword anyway?"

Terry looked at her before smiling and shrugged before walking off but not before waving back to her.

"I'll see you tomorrow Genie."

"Wait you didn't answer my question!"

She got no response as he continued to walk off which left her to growl in annoyance.

(He probably doesn't know how to fight with a sword.)

She could only sigh and hope that there wouldn't be any more trouble after Terry dealt with Melissa's unwanted fiancée. Unfortunately Conrad was going to be the least of their worries.

At an abandon island…

A mystical portal was glowing brightly within the room of the tower that was all but empty but would soon change as two figures steeped through the portal. One was Goenitz while the other was a new individual who stood six foot five and had a powerful build about him. He was dressed in red silk paints, wore combat boots and wore a dark green vest while wearing gloves as well. He had blonde hair but the most notable thing about him was his right eye which glowing a crimson color. Sealing the portal away Rugal turned to face the one who had brought him back from the land of the dead.

"I must say Leopold that I am amazed by what I had just experienced and witnessed as I thought you were only pulling my leg when you said you discovered a magical alternate world such as this."

"Indeed it is impressive Rugal and this is just the beginning for my plans for this world and our world."

Rugal frowned at the Hakkesshu of the Wind.

"Don't you mean our plans for these worlds?"

"No it's MY plans and you would best remember who it is that gave you not only your life back but your powers as well when we first meet."

Rugal inwardly snarled at him for that remark. Truth be told he feared Goenitz for what he did to him and a part of him really wanted to make the Hakkesshu of the Wind pay for taking his eye which served as a reminder for being weak against him and swore one day he would take his eye or at least a limb from the arrogant Hakkesshu.

"So what will we do next then Leopold?"

"We are going to have to wait for the gate recharge since it can't last long but I will find a means to make it last longer and I'll find it in the library of this island. In the mean time you might as well relax for a while as I plain my next move in recruiting more soldiers."

"Are you planning to bring back Vice and Mature?"

Goenitz nodded to him and decided to mention a few others.

"I plan on bringing back the New Face Team and a few others I learned about years ago during an incident years ago."

"Who are these other warriors if I may ask?"

"Their names are Panni, Jamin, and Hauer." (2)

Rugal's eyes widen when he heard those names.

"Aren't they the ones who once served under Laocorn Gaudeamus?"

"Indeed they are Rugal."

"But what makes you think they will serve under you Goenitz?"

The Hakkesshu gave a dark smile to his accomplish.

"Oh I have ways to make them bend to my will, so no need for you to worry."

Rugal shuddered and he pitied the poor fools who would serve under him but then wondered if he would suffer the same way as the ones Leopold wanted in his group. The Hakkesshu of the Wind then spoke up catching his attention once more.

"For now I suggest we rest and eat something before we return back to our world as I will need to study over some of the books here in order to revive my warriors and you may explore the island if you wish."

"But when will you share your plan?"

"I will share it when we have more allies Rugal so be patient for now."

Both men decided to retire for the night with Goenitz heading for the library, leaving Rugal alone with his thoughts. The former crime lord was currently thinking of ways to break away from the Hakkesshu to succeed in his own goals though he knew it wasn't going to be easy but he was a patient man and he could wait for the right moment to strike though for now he could wait and wondered if there was anyone else who had ended up in this world besides him and Goenitz?

Little did he know that there was another individual and it was a certain Lone Wolf from the city of South Town.

The next day…

Louie and his friends were gathered to watch the dual between Genie and Terry in swordsmanship. Melissa was busy with her task at the church while Merrill was on clean up duty because of the riot she caused not too long ago which left only him and the others to watch this dual and currently the Lone Wolf was waiting for the red haired swordswoman to be ready for their dual.

"So do you remember the agreement to our dual Genie?"

The red haired swordswoman sighed as she nodded to her opponent.

"I remember our deal just so long as you keep your end of the deal, but I will NOT lose to some greenhorn like you."

Terry couldn't help but smirk at his sparring partner while getting in a ready stance.

"We will see who the greenhorn is after this dual."

Genie scoffed as she readied herself to face off against the Lone Wolf as she didn't think this would be any trouble at all. Without any hesitation she charged at Terry ending the match quickly, with Andy Bogards brother smiling in a ready pose.

Three minutes later…

Melissa and Merrill were making their way over to Genie and the others after they had finished with their tasks. The blonde priestess had heard about the challenge that Terry made with her friend and had wanted to stop it but Head Priestess Jenny had forbidden her from interfering as she told her disciple it would only be with wooden blades, not steel ones. She even told Melissa that this would end any arguments between the two as it would help Terry to focus on his training against Conrad.

When the two had finally arrived at the field they were surprised to see everyone sitting around chatting, Genie as well with a look of annoyance and a little frustration while Terry was quietly laying on the ground looking at the clouds. The young thief was wondering what was going on and decided to ask everyone that was present.

"What's going on here?"

"Terry and Genie had a dual so they could settle their differences and in the end bro won against her." Louie spoke to the young thief as he was reading over a spell book that was required for one of his classes.

"Genie lost to Terry?" Melissa couldn't believe what she was hearing as she had seen Genie fought many times when they were traveling together on their adventures.

The red haired swordswoman could see the look of disbelief in her friend's eyes and with hesitation she spoke out to them.

"What Louie said…is true, I…lost to Terry in our dual."

Melissa and Merrill couldn't believe what they had just heard come out of their friend's own mouth. Genie had lost to someone like Terry Bogard?

The Lone Wolf got up from the ground dusting himself off before looking over to his students.

"So does anyone want to go grab some lunch?"

"I'm down for that."

"Me too."

"Me three!"

"I could use a bite to eat."

Everyone got up and began heading to the Laughing Swan before Terry looked over at the swordswoman.

"Genie would you like to join us? It will be my treat."

Genie honestly wanted to say no to his offer but then she remembered their agreement so with a sigh she nodded and got up to follow them leaving behind Melissa and Merrill. The Lone Wolf looked over at the two girls.

"You're welcome to join us too if you like."

Terry continued on his way leaving the two before the blonde priestess decided to ask a question to her friend.

"Do you think that Terry cheated?"

The young thief thought over Melissa's question before shrugging.

"It was probably beginners luck."

Both decided to follow him accepting his offer and both hoped that he would be ready for his dual soon against Conrad.

Five days before the dual…

Melissa couldn't believe on what she was watching right now. Terry was calmly sitting around eating an apple while reading a book with Genie cleaning her short sword since her other sword was destroyed by Terry and she couldn't afford to buy a new one considering she was short on money and had spent most of it on supplies for their first adventure together.

The blonde priestess could also see that Terry was sporting a few bruises but nothing serious and wondered how much did they train today. Melissa honestly couldn't stop worrying as she didn't want to end up marring Conrad and felt a little bad about how she forced Terry into a dual because of her pride.

The displaced Earthling continued to read his book while eating his apple not paying attention to Melissa's panic state.

Four days before the dual…

"It's your move sensei."

Terry looked over the chessboard in front of him as he was playing against Kika in a game to pass the time as they were at the cabin that Melissa's friends used. Genie was currently sitting with a look of annoyance as she considered this a waste of time when they should be training. Melissa was standing in the corner wondering why her champion wasn't taken the dual he was about to have in a few days seriously? The displace Earthling then made his move against Kika looking up smiling.

"Check Kika."

Terry's student frowned as she was trying to think of a counter move against him to avoid being lead into a checkmate. Her thoughts were interrupted though by Melissa as she spoke out in exasperation.

"Terry just what are you doing?"

The Lone Wolf looked up at the blonde girl's irritated face.

"I'm playing a game of chess. What else am I doing?"

"You're supposed to be training with Genie and all your doing is sitting around playing games?!"

"I don't know why you are getting all worked about this week Melissa since nothing important is happening."

"Nothing important! Have you forgotten about what is at stake?"

"Hey it's like I'm the one who is going to be married to him and if you think about it if he wins then we all win."

"Just what are you talking about?"

"That's something I would like to know." Genie spoke up as she didn't understand what he was thinking.

"Well if you two think about it if Conrad wins then Melissa has to leave the guild of Mylee in which case she doesn't have to follow the creed of the war god anymore. As for you and Merrill you don't have to deal with me ever again and Melissa doesn't have to see me again either. And Kika you will put that knight back to where it was."

Kika flinched when she heard him speak in that tone as he only did that to her when she misbehaved or did something reckless like her friend Louie. Chuckling nervously she set the chess piece back to where it had been, though she wondered how Terry knew she was doing that when he wasn't even looking and soon they both heard Melissa cry out in exasperation.

"BUT I WILL BE STUCKED MARRIED TO CONRAD!"

"Okay so then Conrad and I both win on what we want, but as they say two out of three isn't bad. But then again I could just decide to throw the fight and not even bother to dual him after the way you and your friends acted towards me."

Melissa's face paled when she heard the Lone Wolf say on how he would throw out the fight.

"Y-You wouldn't dare."

"I didn't say I would throw the fight…just yet."

Terry then returned to the game he was playing as his student finally made her move against him and he looked carefully at the board. Without taking his eyes off the game he responded back to Jenny's disciple.

"Just remember this Melissa, we could have avoided all this if you had just said no to Conrad instead of getting me involved with your troubles and pulling this crap with chivalry."

The blonde priestess said nothing as she quietly made her way out of the cabin not noticing the look of anger on Genie's face as Terry then made his next move.

"Checkmate."

Kika pouted at being beaten by her sensei and hoped she could get another game in before Terry and Genie decided to go back to training.

Three days before the dual…

Louie and the others were watching both Terry and Genie going at it with the sword training with the blonde priestess and Merrill watching as well. Though what the group was seeing right now they couldn't honestly believe it as the Lone Wolf was losing against the red haired swords woman.

Terry ducked a swing and made a sloppy right back at Genie which she easily blocked before advancing on him with several strikes that he was having trouble blocking and a few had nicked him in the arms and his right side once. Louie and Kika who had been watching the match so far were both thinking the same thing.

(Why the hell is sensei holding back?)

The dual soon ended when Terry was knocked down landing on his back losing his wooden sword. Genie stood over him with her blade pointing at his face.

"You lose…again."

"Well that was fun." The Lone Wolf shrugged as he got off the ground, dusting himself off.

Genie growled in annoyance as she scolded him.

"This isn't the time for us to be having fun. The dual is only a few days away and we aren't making any progress with you playing hooky when we have to train."

As the two continued to argue, Melissa shook her head as images of Terry's bloody corpse entered her mind and seeing the image of Conrad waiting for at the aisle with open arms. She shook her head as she was only concerned with his safety since Terry was her chosen hero. Ila who had been silent for a while was thinking over about what she saw days ago from the Crystal of Memory's before a conclusion came to her mind and began to head off to the magic academy.

The displaced Earthling noticed the red haired wizard in training leaving and he had a good idea on what Ila might be planning to do as she had a very sharp mind that rivaled Carwes. He held up a hand to end Genies tirade before looking over to his other students.

"Okay everyone I'll meet you back later at the tavern to go over our next lesson. Louie, Kika I want you two to stay with me for a minute."

The group, minus Louie and Kika, began to leave with Melissa in a state of depression over the fact that her 'Chosen Hero' might end up dying because of her but shook her head refusing it would end like this. Once the others were out of sight the blue haired wizard spoke up.

"So what did you want with us right now bro?"

"I want you two to follow Ila and make sure she doesn't do anything to interfere with the dual that I am going to have in a few days."

This shocked the two along with Genie which caused Kika to speak out.

"You honestly don't think that Ila would have you cheat to win right sensei?"

"While I don't want to make assumptions I have a gut feeling she might try something to make the fight go in my favor. While her intentions are good I don't want to cheat to win." (I sure as hell am not going to stoop to Conrad's level.) He silently added.

Both of the Lone Wolf's students considered his words before nodding. Knowing their friend she had been known to do a few reckless things once in a great while. With those thoughts in mind to went after their friend.

As soon as the two were out of sight Terry turned his attention to Genie who still had an upset look on her face and sighed.

"I know this isn't easy for you Genie but this has to be done."

"Just what is the point of doing all this to Melissa? Can't you see how scared she is?!"

"I've noticed it plenty of times."

"Then why are you still keeping quiet about whatever you know about Conrad? If it's that important everyone should know."

"Genie, you need to realize one thing, you can't always be there for Melissa. Besides she needs to learn that her actions have consequences for things like this. Especially when she could have avoided all this by just saying no to Conrad."

The red haired swordswoman could only huff in anger as whatever Melissa's chosen champion knew must be something very important and it was killing her inside not knowing. Terry could see that she was upset by this and came to a decision.

(I guess I can let her in on it, along with my students.)

Terry gave Genie a smile which caught her attention as he spoke.

"How about this? Tomorrow I'll let you and my students in on a little secret but you must promise not to tell Carwes, Jenny, or your friends."

Genie became shocked when she heard this from him and was silently grateful though she was wondering about his request. Melissa she could understand since it concerned her and even Merrill since she was part of the group but to not tell Master Carwes and Head Priestess Jenny? Just what was going on?

Signing she nodded and hoped tomorrow she would get some answers and whatever it was had better be important.

Two days before the dual…

"Ila I want you to be honest with me right now. Just what were you thinking taking this out from the magic vault of your school?" Terry asked holding up an item that was wrapped in cloth with a look of disappointment.

Ila could only hold her head down in shame as she knew he was upset with her. Standing beside her were Louie and Kika who were frowning at what their friend had tried to do. While they could understand her reason for wanting to help they couldn't help but wonder if she doubted their master's ability's?

Yesterday at night the female wizard had made her way into one of the magic vaults that had new items that replaced the ones that were damaged months ago when Terry was battling Magnus's creation Rampage. She had wanted to obtain the item she needed to give to her master with his upcoming dual with Conrad and had found what she was looking for.

However before she could leave with the item in question, she was caught by both Louie and Kika who wanted to know what their friend was doing in the vault that stored magical items. The red head had said it was for an experiment she was working on but her friends didn't buy it as Louie took the item from her to have a look at it, to which she protested against him for doing so.

When the stepson of Carwes saw what it was he frowned at his long time friend and told her that she better come with him and Kika so not to get in trouble with his old man. Now they were in front of their master and he didn't look the least bit happy about what she had.

"Well Ila I am waiting for an answer."

The red haired beauty looked up at her teacher before replying.

"Terry-sensei I'm sorry if I upset you for what I did but I honestly wanted to help you in your dual against Conrad as I figured something out about how he fought days ago."

The displaced Earthling had a feeling Ila found out the same thing about Melissa's unwanted suitor like he did and was about to comment when he heard someone calling out to them.

"What's going on?"

The group turned to see Genie, Edward and Thomas making their way toward them as they were told to meet with Terry and the others concerning something important and it had to do with the so called knight from Ramliearth.

"I was having a few words with my student about taking things that aren't hers to take, even though her intentions were for the right reason but I don't want to cheat."

"What did she take and what is it exactly?"

The Lone Wolf removed the cloth to show Melissa's friend what he was holding and it was a sword with a jewel in the center of the hilt. Genie looked at the blade with confusion and wondered what was so special about that blade when Louie decided to answer for her about it.

"If you are wondering what Terry-sensei has, it's a magic dancing sword from the magic vault of Ohfun's guild."

Genie was wondering why she would have it until realizing what Ila planning was to with the sword she narrowed her eyes at the red haired wizard.

"You were going to have your master cheat in a dual? What is wrong with you?"

"I had my reason in wanting to give that to Terry-sensei."

Before anything else could be said Terry held up a hand for silence.

"I called everyone here to let you know what's going on and that includes Genie as well since she has agreed not to tell her friends, or Jenny and Carwes."

"Does this have something to do with your dual against Conrad?" Thomas asked his teacher.

"Yes it does and Ila seems to have figured out the same thing as I have about Conrad."

"So what is it?" Edward asked a little impatiently.

"Easy Edward, first we will head to the library to have some privacy." Terry told his student and gestured for the others to follow him. Genie honestly wondered why they had to go somewhere else but figured it must be something important so she followed after them. When the group reached the library Terry turned to his students.

"Can one you put up a silencing spell around us?"

Ila began to chant the spell needed to put up the barrier as a small blue sphere begin to form in her hands and when she was finished chanting she lifted her arms in the air causing the small blue sphere to become large before encircling everyone that was in the group showing the spell was completed.

"So what did you want to tell us already Terry?" Kika asked her master.

"I know a lot of you have been wondering why I've been acting nonchalant over the last few days concerning the dual between me and Conrad. In truth Genie and I have been training in secret away from everyone as I didn't want Melissa to get wind of what was going on and I knew one of you would want to help with this, like what Ila tried to do." He indicated to the sword he had taken from her.

"That leads me to wanting to know why you would try to have bro cheat like that Ila. I'm worried about Terry getting cut to bits too but he is good with a blade since I remember that time we went to get a mystical branch for my new wand." Louie asked his long time friend as he remembered when he and the others went to the Tartious Forest.

"The reason I wanted to give this to Terry is because I found out the reason on why Conrad is so good at using his sword, but I have a feeling you found out somehow right Terry?" The red haired beauty asked her mentor.

The Lone Wolf nodded smiling at his student as he looked to the others.

"What I'm about to tell everyone here must NOT be repeated to anyone else, not even Master Carwes, or Head Priestess Jenny as it would end up stopping the dual coming in two days."

This surprised everyone when they heard him say this and Genie was the first to respond.

"Why would they want to stop the dual?"

"They would stop it because Conrad isn't going to be fighting at all since he is going to cheat to win."

"WHAT?!" Everyone but Ila exclaimed when they heard Terry say this.

"I will explain now since a lot of you deserve to know and I trust all of you to keep this quiet." Andy's brother said as he began to explain to his students and Melissa's friend about the pompous knight.

A few minutes later…

Andy Bogards brother had just finished on what he learned to everyone and could see the look of disbelief on all their faces, while waiting for their response. Louie then palmed his face in his head while groaning.

"Man I should have noticed that before when I saw that image. I was just so shocked by what I saw I didn't even notice it till you told us. Sorry Terry."

"You don't have to be sorry Louie, heck I was just as surprised by what I saw." Kika spoke up next she wondered how her master would deal with Melissa's fiancée.

"But if what you're saying is true then there shouldn't even be a dual and you can claim victory by default!" Genie exclaimed as she now realized why Terry asked her before on when she wore armor during her time in the army and mentally kicked herself for not noticing.

"And that pig has the nerve to call himself an honorable knight!" Thomas spoke in disgust as he really wanted to hurt Conrad in a painful way with a few spells he knew.

"We need to tell Master Carwes and Head Priestess Jenny about this!" Edward spoke up as not only did he want to teach Conrad a lesson, but prevent his teacher and friend from getting hurt.

"On that note I do agree." Ila spoke up after a while.

"Hold on everyone, stop this now!"

The group turned to see Terry with his hands up and had a serious expression on his face. When he had everyone's attention he sighed before speaking out to them.

"As I already told you, NONE of you are to tell ANYONE about this!"

"But why can't we?" Louie asked as he wasn't sure why his brother figure wanted to still dual that jerk who insulted him.

"I know a lot of you are worried about this but I want to face Conrad in this dual, even if he isn't going to fight fair."

"Why would you want to fight him still though? It doesn't make sense." Kika spoke up as she didn't see any point for the dual to go on.

"Because Kika I want to show Conrad that he can't just cheat his way through life and make him see he can't take whatever he wants just because he's from a noble family from what I heard. Another thing is I want to teach Melissa a lesson in humility and show her that her actions will have consequences when she does something reckless."

When Genie heard this she couldn't help but frown as he had told her the same thing days ago, and a part of her really wanted to tell the blonde priestess but she swore not to reveal what she learned after her dual with Terry. It pained her but she had to trust Melissa's champion since he was the only one who could deal with Melissa's unwanted fiancée.

It was then that Kika thought of something and decided to ask the Lone Wolf a question that was bothering her.

"Is that why you were holding back against Genie during training when Melissa was around, along with us?"

Terry nodded to his student's question.

"I wanted to show Melissa she shouldn't drag others into her own problems when it doesn't concern them and actually sweat it out a bit. Not only that I did want to learn from Genie and I'm sure I could teach her a few things."

Genie rolled her eyes at that comment though she was a little curious on what he wanted to teach her and wondered if it had anything to do with those skills he claimed were not related to magic. She would have to wait and see. The Lone Wolf then decided to end the discussion between himself, Genie and his students.

"I don't want any of you to worry about me when the time of the dual comes. So just relax and let me handle it but please I ask you again not to tell anyone about what I told you."

"Are you sure about that Terry? It's not something to take lightly and it could hurt you and even kill you if you are not careful." Ila spoke up to her teacher as she didn't want him to get harmed in anyway shape or form.

"I'm sure about this Ila so don't worry for me since I've been in worse situations before."

The red head nodded as she mentally chided herself for not believing in her teachers ability's since he must have grown up differently than she and her friends.

"Now that we got that out of the way, would anyone want to join me for a pint?" Terry asked as he felt a need for a good drink as it felt good to ease his friend's worries. Everyone nodded as they felt they could use a good drink and begin to leave when the displaced Earthling looked over at Genie.

"Would you like to join us?"

This offer surprised Genie as she didn't expect something like this from him but decided to accept it since she felt that Terry was helping Melissa even though she didn't approve the way he was doing it and he was honest with her on what he told her tonight.

With that thought in mind she nodded and left with the group to enjoy a pint or two at the local tavern.

The night before the dual…

Melissa was on her knee's as she was praying in the church to her god hoping that Terry wouldn't throw the fight to Conrad and would win tomorrow in his dual against him as she was beginning to regret her decision in forcing him to dual against her unwanted fiancée and wished she hadn't done such a thing. She continued to pray to Mylee while one thought continued in her head.

(This is against my will! This is against my will! This is against my will!)

In another part of the church…

Melissa was not the only one praying to the war god, as Jenny was praying that Terry would be all right and come out of this dual alive. She honestly wish this never happen and couldn't help but be disappointed in her disciple for getting the young man involved with her problems.

She had been hearing from Louie and the others that during training with Genie that he barely won in their spars and wondered if he was holding back or if he was greatly at a disadvantage with a sword? They head priestess of the guild could only hope he would be all right tomorrow and make it out of the dual unscratched.

The day of the dual…

The stadium was crowded with people as the dual was soon to begin between The Lone Wolf and The Knight of Ramliearth. Everyone that had come to see the dual had heard about Conrad's skills when he save the shop owners daughter and the reason for his dual against Terry causing many of them to believe it was romantic and heroic hoping he would win against Andy Bogards brother in the dual. In fact three girls in particular were hoping that Conrad would end Terry Bogards life after the ordeal he put their idol Melissa through, along with how they and the other priestess's were punished for their actions.

When Jenny and Melissa took their places in the stadium, the head priestess held her hand up for silence making the crowd quiet down to signal for the combatants to enter to begin the dual. The crowd silently waited for the first combatant to enter into the stadium and the first to enter was none other than Conrad Blanchet.

The entire stadium erupted into cheers for Melissa's fiancée and the blonde knight waved to everyone around him taking in all the praise and cheers. Conrad planned to make this day a grad spectacle and the victory would be all even sweeter when he won his darling Melissa from that lowly commoner. When the people quieted down Terry made his way into the arena with his sword on his side and soon the cheers soon turned into jeers as people booed at the Lone Wolf, along with three certain disciples of Mylee.

"Yeah kill him!"

"Tear that lowly scumbag apart!"

"Show him what a TRUE hero is all about!"

Terry rolled his eyes when he heard those three and scoffed at the rest of the people who were booing him. The only ones who mattered to him were his friends as they cheered them on and waved to them.

"KICK HIS ASS BRO!"

"You can beat him sensei!"

"Show that pompous pig what you're made of!"

"Go Terry!"

Terry smiled hearing his students. Looking to his right he saw them, along with Genie and Merrill were with them. He then saw Melissa with Jenny and he could see that the blonde priestess was greatly worried as he figured she must have been worrying nonstop since this whole mess started and he silently hoped she learn not to force others into her problems, though he had his doubts.

Jenny looked to where Terry was staring and could see the anxiety on Melissa's face as she understood why he was looking at Melissa.

(Perhaps now Melissa you will learn to take others feelings into consideration and learn that her idea of a true hero is unrealistic. I knew from the first moment that when I saw Terry Bogard that he had all the makings of a hero.)

The people within the stadium soon quieted down when Master Carwes appeared before them using a teleportation spell. In his hands was a decorated chest as he made his way over to the two combatants that now stood in the middle of the field. Carwes stood beside the two and opened the chest to reveal golden gauntlets each with a blue gemstone in the center. Terry recognized these as Magic Restrictors. Unlike the Magic-Reduction Manacle that Louie had worn months ago these gauntlets prevented the user from using any and all magic. If the user did try to perform any spells than he or she would end up getting a very painful shock and if one persisted it could eventually kill them.

"This is a dual between these two men which will pit them between each other in the way of the sword to test their strength, limits and courage. Since this is a dual with the sword the use of magic is forbidding and thus will require for each warrior to wear a Magic Restrictor. Refusal to do so will result in being disqualified and forfeit the dual."

The aged wizard looked over to the displaced Earthling.

"Terry Bogard, do you accept the restrictor?"

The Lone Wolf didn't reply soon as he purposely hesitated to answer and looked out the corner of his eye to see Melissa became agitated causing the blonde priestess to have one thought going through her mind.

(No! He isn't thinking of throwing the fight is he?)

Finally Andy Bogards brother held out his left arm for Louie's stepfather.

"I accept Master Carwes."

Melissa breathed a sigh of relief when she heard this and Carwes snapped the gauntlet onto her champion. Louie's stepfather then looked over to Melissa's fiancé.

"Conrad Blanchet, do you accept the restrictor as well?"

The arrogant knight simply laughed while holding out his right arm.

"But of course I will accept it; after all I have long since giving up the ways of magic and have taken to the way of the sword as a TRUE champion should!"

Terry narrowed his eyes at this clown while thinking to himself.

(Oh sure of course someone like you would say something like that, considering the weapon you use. Soon Conrad I will expose you for the fraud that you are and show everyone you can't fake your way into winning and that you are nothing but a pretender.)

Soon Carwes snapped the gauntlet on Conrad and quietly left the area so that the two would begin the dual with the pompous knight drawing his sword pointing it at Terry.

"Come here! It is time you and I dance together, shall I lead?"

The gem on the sword glowed briefly which caught Terry's eye and took off his hat before looking over at Ila.

"Hey Ila, could you hold onto this for me after I beat this clown?"

The Lone Wolf tossed his hat to his student who caught it and held it close to her chest as she hoped that her teacher would be all right. Terry then returned his attention back to Melissa's unwanted fiancée and reached into his red vest to pull something out and it was…a dagger?

"Where did he get that dagger?" Merrill spoke up as she didn't see him with it earlier.

"It was something I gave him a few months ago as a gift incase he ever lost his sword." Kika spoke up though she was wondering why Terry wasn't drawing his sword, though she decided to wait and see what he would do.

"Just what are you doing?" Conrad demanded of his opponent.

"What does it look like? I'm going to beat you using this very blade." The Lone Wolf responded taking a stance.

"What kind of nonsense are you spouting? Quite stalling and draw your sword this instant!"

"I've already drawn my weapon Blanchet because as far as I'm concerned you don't deserve to dual me in a battle with swords."

"What are you a man or a mouse?! Are you that afraid to face me with a man's weapon?"

"Sorry Conrad but a sword does not make you a man, it's the MAN that makes the weapon and you sure as hell don't qualify as one."

"Rubbish! I will not stand for these ridiculous insults from a no named orphan!"

"Then why don't you shut me up you self-centered spoiled brat, unless of course you even know HOW to use a sword."

"What did you call me?!"

"You heard me; you are nothing but an arrogant, bedwetting, self-centered spoiled brat who couldn't get by WITHOUT your family's money!"

This caused the arrogant knight to see red and attack with a powerful thrust!

"HAVE AT THEE!"

RIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

Melissa and the others gasped from seeing Terry get cut from Conrad's sword and none of them even saw the thrust. The attack had been performed flawlessly causing Melissa to wonder how Conrad had gotten so skilled. It had to have been luck that Terry dodged it at the last moment as she didn't believe anyone was that fast.

Back in the arena the Lone Wolf glanced down at the cut that was made on his chest. Seeing that it wasn't too deep he merely shrugged before returning his gaze back at Conrad who had been chuckling.

"Now do you see the folly of facing me without a real MANS weapon?"

"Enjoy your little victory while you can because that will be your ONLY free shot."

"I will smite thee here and now!"

The blonde knight launched his assault against Andy's brother who calmly dodged the attacks thrown at him. Everyone who was watching was seeing Conrad deliver the attacks in perfect motion as if he was an unstoppable force but many were surprised that Terry was avoiding the attacks.

The displaced Earthling was calmly analyzing his attacks as he dodged them.

(So there is heavy power slash's, emphasis on killing blows along with crippling, but there is very weak defensive move against stabbing attacks…yup that is Northern Ramliearth Capital all right and I'm glad me and my students went there months ago.)

As the Lone Wolf was analyzing his opponent Merrill was having a bit of a panic attack.

"Why isn't he fighting back?" The young thief asked as she was worried not only for Terry but from the profits that she would make from the fight that was taken place, though she wasn't the only one worried as Genie was concerned for him though she had a feeling that Terry was holding back against Melissa's fiancée like he had done in their spars.

Louie and the others watched intently as their teacher was avoiding Conrad's attacks knowing that he was carefully avoiding them since he was studying his opponents attack knowing he would counterattack after he was finished studying them before retaliating which he was about to do.

"Damn you, hold still!"

WHOOSH!

The Lone Wolf didn't respond as he easily dodged his enemy's attack seeing him getting winded, before deciding to go on the offensive. When the blonde knight made a swing at his opponent Terry had simply vanished before him causing Conrad to look around.

"Looking for me?"

Melissa's fiancée looked to see Terry standing on the end of his blade and before he could react, Terry introduced his foot to Conrad's face.

BAM!

Conrad stumbled backwards for a moment before he was nailed right in the kisser by Terry's left fist causing him to fall on his rear while he still held tightly onto his sword. The blonde knight held his face before glaring at his opponent.

"How DARE you mare my face?"

"If I was using a sword instead of my hands and feet you wouldn't HAVE a face to complain about and would be dead!"

Conrad snarled as he launched a stabbing attack intent on piercing Terry's heart, but the Lone Wolf did something that would be considered impossible to many as he thrust his dagger forward.

CLANG!

Everyone gasped as Terry had simple handily stopped Conrad's sword with just a dagger, thought this caused a certain group of fan-girls for Melissa to cry out.

"That's impossible!" Anna spoke out in shock.

"He must be cheating with magic!" Joan spoke out.

"I don't see how that is possible since he is wearing the restrictor." Ila pointed out to the two as she watched with interest and excitement for her teacher.

"Then how is he doing that?" Gannet asked wondering how he was able to do that.

"Years of training and that's all you have to know." Louie spoke up as he continued to watch the dual.

Genie didn't say anything as she watched as well though she honestly couldn't believe what she was seeing but she couldn't deny what was in front of her and she started to develop a little respect for Terry.

As for Conrad he couldn't believe that his sword was stopped by a puny dagger, but pulled back before taking another swing which Terry blocked again before quickly going at speeds thought impossible to deliver a knuckle sandwich to the pompous blonde.

BAM!

Conrad staggered back before feeling his face and winced knowing it was starting to swell before glaring at his enemy.

"You wretched cur, I will not stand for this any longer!"

"Then try and end my life that is if you can!"

The blonde knight attacked his opponent once more though Terry dogged and weaved against his enemy as he had finished studying his enemy's style and decided to end this here and now.

"You really are pathetic you know that Conrad?"

"What nonsense are you rambling about?"

"The fact that you don't have a clue to the way you are fighting and it is time I exposed you for the fraud that you really are."

"What do you mean by that you peasant?"

"If you truly were trained in Northern Ramliearth Capital swordsmanship then you would know both the strengths and weaknesses of the style such as a tendency to swing in wide arches, and very poor recovery time which is easy to take advantage of and is easy to come up with a counter for it."

"Huh?" Was the only intelligent thing Conrad could say wondering what his opponent meant?

"For starters you wouldn't be able to block high speed attacks like this one!

The Lone Wolf began gathering up hi Ki into performing his technique that he had been working on back home while studying the sword under the masters from his world in case he needed to use a blade against something he couldn't touch. Seeing his battle aura the crowed became surprised at what they saw.

"He's cheating with magic this time!" Joan yelled out.

"I don't see how that is possible considering that Terry-sensei is wearing the Magic Restrictor and that would have shocked him." Ila pointed out since she learned that only Mana based energy would have triggered the restrictor since it was only attuned to magic based energy.

"Man I wonder what he's going to use against Conrad?" Edward spoke as he was amazed by what he was seeing before his eyes.

The crowed didn't have to wait long as Terry Bogard unleashed his technique.

"AXEL SMASH!" (3)

Terry moved at a speed that was thought impossible by everyone as he appeared in front of Conrad and then used his dagger to deliver over a hundred slash's in a repeated succession causing the knight to yelp as he felt a stinging pain on each arm and his chest but what was even more shocking was that his armor was beginning to tear up a little.

After the attacked ended Terry kicked the sword out of Conrad's hand before giving him a belt to the chop's causing him to fall on his rear and then heard Ila shout out to him.

"TERRY LOOK OUT!"

The Lone Wolf heard the warning before quickly jumping out of the way of an oncoming attack and brought up his dagger to block Conrad's sword which was moving on its own?

Without taking his eyes off the blade Terry continued speaking.

"Like I said Conrad you wouldn't know anything about your skills since your MAGIC sword does all the work!"

Back in the stands…

Jenny gasped in shock at what she was seeing and wondered on how she didn't noticed it before looking over to Louie and the others who to her surprise didn't look at all shocked and concluded that they had found out about Conrad's deceit.

"You knew about this?" It wasn't a question, it was a statement.

Louie could tell by the tone in her voice she wasn't happy and sighed before answering her.

"Yes its true aunt Jenny, we found out about it a few days ago."

"Why didn't you tell me or Master Carwes about this?"

"We didn't tell you because you and pops would have stopped the dual and bro didn't want you to do that since he wanted to expose Conrad for the fraud he is and to teach Melissa a lesson in humility."

Jenny thought over what he had said before nodding seeing as how her disciple had forced Terry into a situation that was not his business and hoped her student would be more respectful toward her champion in the future.

Back to Terry…

The displaced Earthling calmly ducked and weaved from the attacks as he was correct in his assumption about the sword Melissa's unwanted suitor had. A magic dancing sword could only follow one dance that was enchanted into it for the user to wield but could not change its style afterwards. Terry decided to end this farce of a dual now by dodging the next blow and then thrust his dagger into the jewel which was the power source to the sword.

The blade froze in midair causing it to glow with a soft hum before it fell to the ground lifeless, before a cry of disbelief was heard.

"NOOOOO! MY FATHERS DANCING SWORD!"

Terry turned to glare at Conrad who had finally gotten up who had a complete look of horror on his face before taking his sword from out of his scabbard and tossed it over at his feet before taking a stance.

"Now then why don't you pick that up and prove if you really ARE a knight?"

Conrad knew that the gig was up as he had lost the only means to beat his opponent was gone, knowing he stood no chance against him so he decided to try a different outcome to his predicament.

"W-Wait a minute, we are both magicians right? Why don't we change this to a dual of magic to settle this?"

"And just how do you suggest we do that? We are both wearing magic restrictors to prevent any magic being casted, and I hate to burst your bubble but I don't know ANY magic! Another thing I seem to recall is that you said you gave up magic in order to become a knight, so stop stalling and pick up that sword Conrad."

"NO! WITHOUT THAT SWORD I'M JUST A GOOD LOOKING GUY WITH LONG LEGS AND…"

"With or without that sword you are nothing Conrad and it is time I finished this once and for all."

With these words Terry began to gather Ki once again into the dagger causing Conrad to pick up the sword and held it up in a feeble defense.

Back in the stands…

"He has to be cheating with magic!" Anna spoke out as she and the others still couldn't believe what they saw was happening.

"Oh will you be quiet already! It's not like Conrad was fighting fair in the first place or are you three going to ignore the fact he was using a magic sword?" Thomas spoke out in irritation at Melissa's little followers and wondered why they clung to the idea Terry was cheating.

As for Genie she was amazed at the skill that Terry used his dagger against Conrad and she started to slowly but surely develop a small amount of respect for the Lone Wolf.

Back to Terry…

Andy's brother soon felt he had enough for the next technique causing the Ki he gathered to take the form of the blade of his own sword he tossed at Conrad before unleashing his final attack.

"BURST BREAKER!"

Conrad screamed like a girl when he saw Terry charge at him with a speed he thought impossible and could only shut his eyes while waving the sword he had in wild swings but it would prove pointless as Terry dodged the sloppy blow and slashed across Conrad's armor before standing right behind the fake knight who froze when he heard his armor rip once more. The Lone Wolf calmly put away his dagger and that was when Conrad's armor glowed slightly causing Melissa's unwanted fiancée to panic making him drop Terry's sword and ran for his life. He only got a few steps before Terry's dagger was back in its sheath that went click and that's when it happened.

KA-BOOM!

An explosion rocked the arena causing a small tremor to happen building up a small dust cloud. When it finally settled down Terry turned around to see Conrad standing his cape burned off and his hair was frizzled before the sound of his armor began to break apart for all to hear causing it to fall to pieces showing what he really looked like, even causing Melissa's fans to become revolted in seeing him in his boxer shorts, their image of a perfect knight shattered before their eyes.

"What is that?"

"He's so…skinny!"

"Gross!"

Soon the crowed began to laugh at Conrad for the fraud that he really was seeing him exposed in such a manner with Louie, Ila, Merrill, Genie and everyone else following along with Melissa and Jenny. Conrad couldn't take the embarrassment any longer and ran out of the stadium with the false imaged he build shattered.

After he was out of sight the crowed soon cheered for Terry with his students being the loudest!

"That was awesome bro!"

"You were amazing Terry!

"Way to show that pompous pig who a REAL man is!"

The Lone Wolf smiled and waved to them, while making his way over to retrieve his hat and join them in a celebration feast. Jenny couldn't help but smile and looked over at Melissa who was in a mixed state of emotions.

(You may think having Terry as your champion is against your will Melissa, however you have to admit he is a hero. Not the kind you want but a hero none the less.)

In another part of the stadium someone else was watching and smiling at Terry's victory over the false knight. Phacia knew that Terry would succeed in stopping the dark forces that threatened both their worlds and hoped that he would gain the allies he needed against it.

Back on the deserted island were Goenitz resided…

The Hakkesshu of the Wind smiled as he stood before the three bodies that lay before him that were in the center of a mystic circle he created. Standing beside him was Rugal who had three gemstones in his hands waiting for his ally to begin the spell.

"Will this truly work Goenitz? I am a little skeptical since the bodies are a BIT outdated for this."

"Of course it will work, it did for you didn't it? Now hold them up while I begin the enchantment to raise them back from the land of the dead."

Rugal held up his hands while Leopold began to chant in an ancient tongue causing the gemstones to glow before levitating into the air making their way toward the three bodies. Each one levitated above a body before the circle began to glow with power. This continued for several minutes before the gemstones dived into the corpses and began glowing with energy and that was when the circle let out a bright flash of energy causing Rugal to cover his eyes after Goenitz finished the spell.

After the light died down the bodies levitated before landing lightly on the ground and were in perfect state like they had never been damaged before. They soon began to move as the three moaned in a bit of pain from the experience, and the first one, a female, had her eyes open before looking around and spotted the two men in front of her, causing her to gasp in surprise.

The other two which were male also looked surprised to see them and that was when Goenitz spoke to them.

"Greeting Panni, Hauer, and Jamin, allow me to introduce myself. I am Leopold Goenitz and this is Rugal Bernstein and as of today you now work for me."

To Be Continued…

Authors Note

Well I have finally finished Chapter 14 to this story and yes it is not dead and neither am I. I had been honestly thinking of doing a rewrite to this story so as to not have so many Original Characters in it but I'll think on it more.

Anyway I am sorry I haven't updated a lot of my stories in a while as I have been in a depressed state, especially with the passing of my friend and fellow writer Freedom Guard who had passed away back in August. I have written a tribute story in honor of him and I hope everyone enjoys it.

Another thing is I've been working and it's seasonal but there is another thing going on in my life. My cousin is losing her home because of a bunch of idiots and needs help. I have a Facebook page and there you will see a donation page for her that I have shared and I have donated some money to help her move out. If anyone of my friends on this site and to anyone who reads this please help my cousin as I don't want her to be homeless and I don't want her to go through anymore hardship. She's been through enough.

On the next chapter Goenitz will be bringing back a few more people to cause trouble in his quest to revive the Orochi and Terry and his friends will be going on another quest. There might even be a few more people from Terry's world joining him so I'll see you then.

(1) In case you are wondering about this item I have based it off of Lunar: Eternal Blues Story Complete the Crystal Rememberizer.

(2) If anyone remembers these three they are from the Fatal Fury the motion picture movie.

(3) In case you are wondering about this move yes, it is Jack Van Burace Fast Draw from Wild Arms Alter Code F. I figure that this would be something Terry would be able to do and he will have all the Fast Draws from this game, just the Wild Arms Alter Code F one.
