Luke POV

Tuesday morning at school I made my way to Annabeth's locker. "Hey Annabeth." I said pecking her on the mouth.

"Hey Luke." She gave me a small smile.

"So I was wondering if you wanted to hang out with myself, Drew, Jason, Chris and Piper on Saturday night."

"Sorry Luke but I already have plans then. Maybe some other time?" she said shutting her locker.

"With who?"

"With Percy and some of his friends."

"What?" I said in a deadly whisper.

"Yeah he invited me yesterday and I said yes."

"You're not even friends with him."

"Yes I am."

"Since when?" I said crossing my arms.

"Since the camp. You were spending so much time with Drew Percy and I really got to know each other." She replied turning away and walking down the hall.

"Hey." I said grabbing her arm and turning her back around. "There better not be something going on between you two"

"Luke seriously, we're just friends. What is the problem with two friends hanging out?"

"Well considering that he doesn't have a girlfriend I'm not so comfortable with you hanging out with him."

"Luke there is going to be other people there and plus you and Drew are friends and she doesn't have a boyfriend. Do you see me getting jealous?"

I didn't answer her question instead I asked one of my own. "Where are you going?"

"The Carnival. Happy? Now if you don't mind I'm going to get to class." And with that she turned back around and left me standing there.

-Line Break-

When lunch came around I saw Annabeth sitting down next to Percy and his friends. My blood started to boil. I still didn't trust them and I was not looking forward to those two going to the Carnival together this weekend even if there were others going. He was just trying to get back at me, I knew it.

I went and sat down next to Drew and Jason. "Hey guys." I greeted.

"Hey." They coursed back.

I turned to Jason. "Hey Jase?"

"Yeah?" he asked looking up from his food to meet my gaze.

"I was wondering if you wanted to come to the Carnival this Saturday night."

He looked at me weirdly. "I thought you hated Carnivals?"

"They're not that bad." I lied.

"Okay sure, what time?"

"7:00?"

"Yeah sure okay, do you mind if I bring Piper?"

"Go for it." I turned to Drew.

"Yes I will come." She said without me asking.

"Great."

(Saturday night)

Annabeth POV

It was 5 past 6 and I was pacing around my living room waiting for Percy. I was so excited because I was going to spend practically the whole night with him. You have a boyfriend. A voice in the back of my mind kept saying. It's not like anything will happen between us, I tried but he rejected me.

After another 5 minutes there was a knock at my door. "Coming." I called as I exited the living room and made my way to the front door. I pulled it open and found Percy standing there in dark jeans and a green shirt with a dark blue hoodie over the top.

"Sorry I'm late." He apologized without offering an excuse.

"It's fine." I replied smiling.

"Well are you ready to go?"

"I've been ready for 10 minutes." I teased him.

He smiled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah I'm sorry about that. We better get going."

"Yep." I said closing the door behind me and following him to his car. He opened the backseat door for me. "Sorry you can't sit shotgun, Thalia's there."

"Oh that's fine." I replied waving it off. But a little part of me was disappointed. Stop it Annabeth you have a boyfriend.

I slid into the back seat behind the passenger side and found myself next to Nico. "Hey Nico." I smiled.

"Hey." He mumbled.

Percy got into the driver's seat and started the engine. He pulled out of the driveway and headed toward the Carnival.

-Line Break-

It took around 20 minutes to get form my house to the Carnival. The car ride was awkward with only Percy trying to keep the conversations going. It was obvious that Thalia and Nico did not want me here.

I was very grateful when we finally arrived, quickly hoping out of the car. We all walked up to the ticket booth and brought our tickets. The Carnival looked amazing at night with all the rides lit up with coloured lights. "Where are the others?" Thalia asked look around for her friends.

"Conner said to meet by The Claw." Percy replied heading off in the direction of The Claw. We all followed him and soon found ourselves looking up at this massive ride which must have been The Claw. "There they are." Thalia pointed to where they stood and walked over. The group consisted of Conner and Travis Stoll, Silena, Beckendorf, Hazel, Frank, Katie and Lou Ellen. They all said hello to me which I was grateful for, at least they weren't as harsh as Thalia and Nico.

"So where are we going to go first?" Nico asked the group.

Percy looked at him like he was crazy. "The Claw of course, why do you think we met here?"

Nico's face paled. "Um… why don't we go on something else first?"

"Are you scared Nico?" Percy teased.

"What? No, it's just that…there is…a huge line." He lied.

"There is hardly anyone in the line."

"Um…" realizing that there was no way to get out of this one he sighed. "Fine."

We all lined up and soon found ourselves strapped into the seats. I sat next to Percy and Katie. The ride started and the momentum of it blew my hair into my face. It swung back and forth of got higher and higher as it went. I could hear Nico screaming next to Percy and Percy was laughing hysterically. I couldn't help but laugh at his laugh.

Soon the ride started to slow down. Nico's face was deadly pale and once we were allowed to get off he wasted no time unbuckling his belt and exiting the ride. Thalia went after him, her face surprisingly pale and muttering under her breath, "Too high, too high."

"How great was that?" Percy asked me following me off the ride and onto the path.

"Yeah it was pretty good."

"At least you're not scared like my two cousins over there." Percy said pointing at Thalia and Nico's retreating backs.

"They don't look like the type to be scared of rides."

"Yeah well Thalia is terrified of heights and Nico just hates rides." Percy replied simply. "Well it looks like its just you and me now." He said looking around. I followed his gaze and realized that he was right. All the others had gone.

"Where did all the others go?"

"Oh who knows? Well where do you want to go now?"

"I don't mind, what's the best ride here?"

"The Claw obviously." He gestured behind us where The Claw towered over the path.

"Beside The Claw."

He thought for a moment before saying, "The Body Shaker isn't that bad."

"Okay let's go to The Body Shaker."

Luke POV

We all arrived at the Carnival just before 7:00. We went to the ticket booth and brought our tickets.

"So where do you want to go first?" Jason asked me.

"Oh I don't mind." I replied looking around for Percy and Annabeth.

"What are you looking for?" Jason eyed me suspiciously.

"What?" I turned to him.

"What are you looking for?" he asked again.

"Oh nothing." It was obvious from the look he gave me that he didn't believe me but he let it drop. Wanting to change the subject I asked him, "So what's the best ride around here?"

"Well a lot of people lie The Claw but my favorite was always The Body Shaker. When we were kids Percy and I-" he stopped himself and looked at me.

"The Body Shaker it is then."

A/N: What do you guys think? I should probably explain the amazayn thing, it's like amazing but different. That explanation sounds so stupid and obvious but that's what it is. Sorry it's just a habit of mine. Anyway I've updated twice in two days Whoo-hoo! Thanks for all the great reviews.
