IMPORTANT NOTE: Hey, guys. I haven't been around much lately which we all can thank uni for. These semesters were tough, but I'm finally on summer break and catching up on the amazing season 3 of ML. (I LOVE THE NEW CHARACTERS)

I wanted to ask if people are still reading this or not. I've discontinued a lot of my fics which I have no intention of writing on anymore which is why I wanna know if you guys are still interested in this fanfiction or not. I started writing this years ago, without much plot in mind, but I do have a character and background sketch of Ellie made up now so I can continue you it but only if you guys want me to.

Otherwise, I'm going to be discontinuing this fanfic as well. I'm not going to spend hours on writing something which no one is interested in reading about. I'm going to get real busy when September starts so I would prefer writing up some chapters before, and I even want to manage some updates between my classes.

Anyway, let me know, please. Thank you for sticking along and reading this all. I hope you all are having a wonderful day/night~! :D

I don't own Miraculous Ladybug.

reachin' for you

Worst.

Day.

Ever.

Ellie shifted back, sitting down on the cold, pale tiles as she took in a breath, glaring heatedly at the toilet before her while she felt her stomach muscles finally relax. A flash of golden flew above her, and she frowned deeply, wiping the vomit caked around her mouth with the back of her hand.

"I think the best words for this situation are," Vitte mused aloud from above the girl's head, smirking smugly. "Karma is a bitch, correct?"

If this were any other day, Ellie would have laughed and commented about how her badmouth was starting to rub off on the eloquent kwami. But right now, she snorted, getting on her feet to flush the toilet and then moving towards the sink as she began sarcastically. "Never thought I'd hear you say that, Vitte."

"I've been learning from the worst," the sprite smiled proudly, "but I'm quiet sure this phrase fits you right now, don't you think, Ellie?"

"Shuddup," Ellie grumbled, nearing the sink. Water flowed down, and she slipped her hands beneath the cold stream, cupping the water in her palms and splashing it over her face, scowling. "Damn it. How could I forget about my allergy?"

Vitte settled down atop her head, humming loudly. "I've heard girls forget about important things when they're around cute and nice guys."

"He is not cute."

"Ah, but you agree that he's nice?"

Silver eyes hardened, Vitte darting into the air when a hand shot up to grab her tiny form. She smiled coyly, hovering near her wielder's annoyed face. "Quit trying to manipulate stuff, Vitte."

"I'm not manipulating anything," Vitte responded smoothly, dropping down on the redhead's shoulder. "He was really caring and nice to you when you were busy vomiting, that's what I'm just saying."

Cheeks flushing in embarrassment, Ellie clenched her jaw, then blinked when there was a loud knock on the bathroom door, a feminine voice speaking up from the other side. "Miss, if you're done, you're friend is waiting outside for you."

"Yeah, yeah, just gimme a sec." Ellie answered gruffly, fishing out her phone from her pocket. Her brows knitted together in surprise as the screen flashed with multiple messages, all from the same person just an hour before her allergy incident had happened.

Where r u 2?! :(((

Is Adrien still with u?

Ellie!

I hope ur both ok.

She stared at the texts, Marinette's name flashing on top of the screen. A heavy sigh left Ellie's lips, her shoulders slumping as she dragged a hand down her face. I'm so sorry, Marinette.

Thrusting a hand through her red locks, Ellie leaned against the wall. A frown curled her lips downwards as she pocketed her phone, gaze lifting to meet with Vitte's curious eyes. The girl grasped the doorknob, twisting and then pulling the door open as she stepped out.

"Feeling any better?"

Tongue trapped between her teeth, Ellie made a noise in the back of her throat, knees drawn to her chest while the blond sat beside her, the sidewalk cold beneath them as they sat infront of the clinic. Something pressed into her hand, gray eyes snapping sideways and Adrien offered a friendly smile, handing her a water bottle.

"You should be careful about what you eat," he advised casually.

Her jaw tight, Ellie nodded, spinning off the bottle's cap and plopping a pill in her mouth before she pressed the rim to her lips, taking down a large gulp. She sighed out into the cool air, arms coming around to wind around her knees. A beat of silence passed between them, Ellie waiting for a taunt, a joke, anything on the previous incident but nothing came and she sucked in her bottom lip.

"Uh, sorry 'bout that."

Forest green eyes blinked once, then twice, shifting to settle on her and Ellie stretched her legs out, glaring ahead while she rubbed the back of her head. "Sorry that I... y'know? Puked and everything. I'm sorry. That was so shitty of me."

"It's alright," Adrien responded honestly, smile soft and genuine. "It wasn't really your fault."

"Of course, it was my fault." She protested, gripping the icy curb of the sidewalk. "I should've been careful of what I was ordering. I even got your jacket dirty—"

A hand landed on her shoulder, and Ellie's mouth clamped shut instantly. Adrien let out a laugh, shaking his head as he sat there, white jacket discarded into a nearby dumpster. "Don't worry about it. I'm a model. I've got plenty of more clothes."

Ellie wasn't used to feeling guilt. But the unfamiliar knot in her stomach disappeared at his words, and she leaned back on her palms, shrugging his hand off. "Still... I'll get you a new one anyway."

The corners of his lips curling into a smirk, he leaned his elbows on his knees, settling her with a curious look. "How about you join me for lunch instead?"

Awarding him with an incredulous look, Ellie snorted unkindly. "After what just happened, you seriously wanna do that?"

"Mhmm, don't worry. I'll choose the menu this time."

She raised her brows in amusement, not bothering to comment about the teasing smile on her lips. Instead she rolled her eyes while he released a laugh, climbing to his feet and turning towards her, smile warm and friendly as he held out a welcoming hand. A feeling of déjà vu washed over the redheaded girl as she peered upwards through her lashes, gray hues meeting bright emeralds gazing down at her.

Her gaze quietly shifted to the hand hovering before her, open and friendly, and she felt her muscles tense because she wasn't sure if she wanted to take his hand or not.
