"What did McCulloch v. Maryland establish?" Dick said, glancing at Diana from the white flashcard he was currently holding.

"That case established federal supremacy, saying that federal laws will always trump state's rights. It also prevents states from passing laws that directly contradict the federal laws." Diana explained.

"Correct, what about Mapp v. Ohio?"

"It enforced the 5th Amendment stating that evidence not legally obtained will not be used in court. It forced police to always get warrants when searching the private property and disregards evidence that was obtained illegally."

"Also correct, you're on a roll dude." Robin said, grinning at Diana, "When is your test on these court cases?"

"In three days," Diana sighed, picking up a stray flashcard and reviewing it carefully, "How am I doing so far?"

"Honestly, you're doing great," Dick said, eyes wandering to the flashcard she was reading, "You're really prepared for this, especially considering that you have an extra three days to study for it."

"I just need to be ready," She answered, eyes glancing back up at him, "Hey, thanks for helping me study for this, by the way."

"No need to thank me," He said, offering her a genuine smile, "I was honestly just planning on sitting home alone today so you saved me from five hours of video games."

Diana opened her mouth to respond but was cut off when her bedroom door swung open. Her mom was on the other side, the same pleasant smile on her face that Dick had always seen.

"Hey kids," Mrs. Knight said, stepping into the room, "I'm sorry to have to cut this short but Diana's dad is coming home early today."

Dick's eyebrows furrowed in were studying, why would Diana's father coming home effect their study time? He figured it would be something to encourage, not stop. He sent a questioning look to Diana who didn't seem put off by her mother's request. In fact she seemed eager to accept the order, already starting to pick up her books and place them on the oak bookshelves that lined her room.

"Okay, mom, we'll start packing up." She promised, gathering her pencils.

"Thanks, Diana." Mrs. Knight responded before nodding in acknowledgement at Dick, "It was nice to see you, Richard."

"You too, Mrs. Knight." He said, casting a forced smile her way, waiting until she was out of the room to say, "What was that?"

"What do you mean?" Diana asked, looking perturbed.

"I mean why do we have to pack up when your dad's coming back?" He asked, raising an eyebrow, "That's a bit odd."

"I'm not allowed to have any friends over when my dad's home," Diana said, stacking another book, "It's not really odd."

"It kind of is," Dick pointed out, adding, "My adopted father is Batman and he doesn't even make me do that."

"Do you usually even have friends over?"

"Uh, It's usually just Wally."

"My point exactly."

Roy let out a sigh of relief as he stacked the last book onto the shelf, flopping back onto the ratty couch behind him. The sight of his apartment was starkly different than the one that had greeted him when he had initially begun his venture into cleaning, approximately three hours and forty-five minutes ago. The once messy apartment was finally organized and Roy had begun to relax when he spotted Evelyne's black duffel bag in the middle of the hall.

For a moment, he considered leaving it be but the urge to finish cleaning took over him and he got up, grabbing it and shoving it into a corner. He meant to leave it be after that but there was a large white envelope sticking out of one of it's corners and it caught the archer's attention.

He pulled it out and glanced over the cover. It was addressed to Evelyne from University of Chicago. Even just glancing at it, he knew that it was good news. After all, big envelopes from universities are always good news.

Before Roy could do anything else, Evelyne stepped into the hallway, announcing herself with a rather large yawn, "How long was I out? It feels like a million -" She paused mid-stretch, eyes focusing on the envelope, "Where did you get that?"

"Evelyne, it's a big envelope," Roy said, waving it around, "It's good news."

"Don't jinx it!" She exclaimed, looking panicked, "You don't know that for sure."

"Maybe but we're going to find out for sure in a few minutes," He handed her the envelope, "Open it."

Evelyne took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. Her hands shook as they moved to the envelope flat but, right as she was about to rip it open, she lost her nerve and tossed it at Roy, "I can't. You do it!"

"Are you shitting me?"

"Just do it!"

"Fine. . ." He grumbled, ripping the top of the envelope off and pulling the letter out. His eyes scanned over it for a second before his face lit up, "Evelyne, this great news! You're in! You've been accepted to the University of Chicago."

He looked over at Evelyne, who had a wide grin on her face, "Say that again."

The archer looked at her uncertainly, "Uh . . . You've been accepted to the University of Chicago?"

"Say it again!"

"You've been . . accepted to . . . the University... of Chicago." Roy said slowly, looking at her in concern, "Did you get it that time?"

"Shit, dude, I've been accepted to the University of Chicago," Evelyne responded, looking panicked again before her expression changed into one of pure joy, "I was accepted!" She ran at him, jumping and cupping her arms around his face. In one swift move, she brought her lips to his before jumping back and saying, "I've been accepted! Oh my God!"

Roy didn't even have time to react before she began skipping back to the bedroom, "Wear something nice, Roy William, because this warrants a big ass brunch on me! I should surprise Diana with this later, we'll be going to college together. I've been accepted!"

He watched her skip away, too shocked to really react. After a minute, a slow smile spread across his face and it stayed like that for the rest of the day.

Evelyne, Roy, Connor, M'gann, Kaldur, Artemis, and Wally were all standing in front of a telephone entry system that led to Dick's highrise apartment. All of them were scattered around the admittedly beautiful and well lit lobby. In exasperation Artemis was sitting on the marble floor while Wally was repeatedly pressing the call button so that Dick could let them up the elevator.

"Dick, just let us in already! We've been standing here for fifteen minutes already!" Wally complained, looking exasperated.

There was a static buzz before Dick's voice filtered through the callbox, "What's the password?"

Wally did not look pleased, "Kid Flash is better than Robin."

This time, it was Diana's voice that answered, "Wrong."

"Diana? You're in on this too! That sucks," Wally whined, "Dick, come on, dude."

"That's definitely not the password."

"I hate you."

Artemis, who was tired of listening to Wally complain, hit the button, "You're being a dick, Dick."

"That's also not the password."

Before any other attempt could be made, Connor stepped up, "Hold on, let me try," He hit the call button and said, "Monkey bottoms."

There was silence for a moment before the door in front of them unlocked and began to buzz, "You're in."

The gang walked in and managed to cram themselves into one of the tiny elevators. So far, the interior seemed as nice as the exterior. The elevator was clean and well constructed with a glass ceiling and carpeted floor.

The elevator finally dinged on the fiftieth floor and the team stepped out of the elevator and into the foyer. They were greeted with a large and spacious penthouse apartment. The corridor lead out to a huge living room with a semi circular couch facing a stone fireplace with a large flatscreen tv above it. A few paces behind the couches was an airy dining room that was separated from the kitchen by a marble island with a glass door leading to the balcony. Rooms leading to the master bedroom and guest bedroom were on the left and right sides respectively. It was a spectacular apartment and everyone was looking around in awe. After their initial shock, the team left their shoes and coats in a closet in the foyer and proceeded to where Diana and Dick were lying down together on the couches facing the fireplace. The two were giggling to themselves as though they were sharing a private joke.

Wally was the first one to speak, "Did we come at a bad time?"

Diana jumped at the sound of his voice, immediately straightening up, "N-No, I mean, hey! I didn't hear you come in."

Evelyne chortled, "Obviously."

Trying to change the topic, Dick sat up and said, "Anyways . . . Which movie did you guys want to watch tonight?"

It worked. A second later, M'Gann said, "Well, I was thinking the Notebook."

"Anything for you, babe." Wally said, looking satisfied with himself, "That settles it. We're watching -"

"Not so fast, baywatch," Artemis said, stepping into the conversation, "We're all watching this so we all get a say. I think we should watch Top Gun."

"But Artemis," Wally said, trying his hardest to impress the Martian, "I just love Ryan Reynolds - I mean, Gosling. I love Ryan Gosling."

Tired of watching them bicker, Connor cut in, "How about we watch neither of those movies?"

A moment later, Diana cut into the conversation, "Oh, I have an idea! How about we watch The Avengers?"

The entirety of Young Justice blinked at her, "What's that?"

"Do you not have The Avengers in your universe?"

"Uh . . . no."

She smirked, "All of you, grab a seat. We're watching The Avengers."

They had already begun moving in towards the couches when Dick exclaimed, "Oh shit, I forgot to make the popcorn."

Diana, who was still standing, said, "I got it! You all just relax."

Evelyne had been vying for an opportunity to talk to Diana alone all night and she finally saw the chance, "I'll help! Uh, Dick, your kitchen has doors, right?"

He blinked at her, "Yeah?"

"Great. We'll be right back!" Evelyne exclaimed, grabbing Diana's hand and pulling her into the other room. She shut the door and checked to make sure that they were closed.

Diana had begun pulling the popcorn out of it's cabinet, an amused look on her face at her best friend's antics, "What's this about?"

"Well . . ." Evelyne began, pulling herself onto one of the counters, "I did something."

"Is it illegal?"

"No. Who do you think I am?"

"Evelyne."

"Yeah."

Diana laughed, putting the first bag of popcorn in the microwave, "So, what is it?"

Evelyne took a breath and whispered, "I kissed Roy."

But Diana was too far away to actually hear it, "What?"

"I kissed Roy."

"What? Evelyne, you need to stop mumbling."

She took a breath and whispered a little louder, "I kissed Roy."

"What?"

"I kissed Roy!"

This time, Diana heard it loud and clear, "You kissed Ro-"

But she never finished her sentence. At that very moment, Evelyne dived at her, hand covering her mouth.

In the next room, they heard a thump.

"I was quiet for a reason," Evelyne hissed, glancing at the door. After a minute of silence and no "Evelyne kissed Roy!"'s, she let go, "You cannot tell any of them. . . yet."

Diana, however, was beyond hearing at that point, letting out a little shriek, "That's so cute! Oh my God, tell me everything."

Before Evelyne could say anything, there was a knock at the door followed by Kaldur's voice, "Is the popcorn done?"

"Yeah, just a sec, Kal!" Evelyne responded before returning to whispering, "The short version is that I just kind of kissed him and then I ran off before he could respond. . . " She trailed off, sighing happily and seemingly staring off into space for a moment, "Do you ever think about going back with them? To their world?"

Diana's eyebrows furrowed together in confusion. Going back with them? She had never thought about it before but, now that Evelyne mentioned it, it didn't seem like such a bad idea but she quickly eradicated the thought as soon as it crossed her mind. They couldn't.

"Evelyne, no," She responded, "We can't leave with them. We have college to look forward to. We've been working for that our whole lives! We can't just leave now."

"I guess you're right," Evelyne sighed, gaze dropping, "I'm gonna miss them when they end up leaving though."

"So will I," Diana admitted, a little shocked at how quick she was to accept the thought. Before she could say anything else, however, there was another knock at the door.

It was, yet again, Kaldur, "I do not mean to rush you . . . but Wally's getting a little antsy."

As if it were timed, there was a crash outside, followed by Artemis snapping something about annoying speedsters. They needed food to quell Wally and they needed it now.

Evelyne grabbed the bag out of the microwave and ripped it open, spilling the popcorn into a bowl, "We're coming! Calm him down."

The credits rolled as the movie ended, The Avengers theme filling the large living room. They were all spread out on the couch and pleasantly surprised at how good the movie was, even if they didn't want to admit it.

"The Justice League is still better. . ." Wally grumbled, angry at himself for how much he liked it.

"Captain America is a complete rip off of Superman." Connor said, glaring at the screen.

"I personally think Ollie is 10x the archer than Hawkeye is." Artemis said, crossing her arms.

Kaldur reached over to them and patted each of their heads, "There there."

"It's easy for you to say that!" Artemis said curtly, "Fishman wasn't copied!"

"Actually, I believe that my King is what you would call a meme in this world."

Wally stared at him for a moment, "Never say that word again."

M'Gann piped up from the other end of the couch, "I kind of liked it."

They were all quiet before each grumbling, "Yeah . . . It was okay."

They were quiet for a moment as they all regarded their defeat (Wally was Googling about whether or not there was a Justice League movie out) but the silence was quickly broken by a soft snore. Sometimes during the movie, Evelyne had fallen asleep on Roy's lap. The archer was sleeping as well, propping up on the arm of the couch. His hand was in her hair, red strands wrapped around his fingers.

Everyone stared at them for a minute before looking at each other in confusion. When had this happened?

They all remembered Evelyne dragging Diana into the kitchen and, in one synchronized motion, they all looked at the brunette.

"What is going on with those two?" Wally asked, motioning to the sleeping pair.

Fortunately for Diana, her phone lit up at that moment. It was her mom, demanding that she come home.

"I'd love to stay and divulge my information but I'm required to go home by my mother."

"I can walk you!" Dick said, quickly volunteering, "I need to pick up some groceries on the way back."

"Remember to bring cookies!" M'Gann reminded, gearing up to start The Notebook.

"Because it wasn't Wally that asked for it, I'll do it." Dick chortled, "We'll be back soon!"

Diana grabbed her wool coat and waved goodbye to the team before heading out. As soon as the elevator door closed, she let out a relieved sigh, "This was fun! I think we should do it more often."

"With the whole gang?" Dick asked skeptically, stepping out of the elevator and into the lobby, "I love them but they stress me out."

"How so?" Diana asked, a little confused.

"Correction: They don't stress me out. Wally stresses me out."

"Touché."

There was a minute of silence as they stepped out onto the sidewalk. Dick cleared his throat before saying, "So do you think that we could maybe do this again sometime?"

"With the whole gang? I thought that you just said they stressed out."

"Maybe not the whole gang. Maybe we could do it with just us two?" He suggested, face heating up, "O-Or not, I mean, I like the gang -"

"I'd love to," She said, cheeks red, "It sounds like fun."

Dick offered her a smile, catching sight of the grocery store across the street, "Hey, how about you go on ahead? I'll catch up. I just have to get M'Gann's cookies and some more popcorn."

"Sure. I'll race you." Diana said teasingly.

"Is that a challenge?" Dick asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Maybe. Are you up for it."

"Definitely!" He said, "Winner gets a bag of Red Vines."

"I'm interested," Diana said, "I'll meet you there!" She raced off, speed walking in the other direction.

After about a block Diana noticed an alley that lead closer to her street. It was dimly lit and lined with trash bins from the apartments that lined the street. Determined to beat Dick in their foot race Diana turned into the ally, using it as a shortcut. Her footsteps echoed off the wet pavement and she pulled her coat closer to herself, a nervous feeling passing through her core. Another set of heavy footsteps echoed behind her. Feeling a sense of danger, Diana increased her pace. The footsteps behind her mirrored her pace, speeding up as well. Urgency spread through her as she whipped around to confront the person behind her. A ragged looking man in worn jeans and a black hoodie stepped closer and pulled out a gun from the pocket of his hoodie. Diana let out a shrill scream and backed up in shock, trembling.

"Alright lady , drop your purse," He demanded, gun shaking in his hands, "Drop it!"

"Okay, okay!" She said breathily, releasing her leather bag from her firm grip. Her hands shook as she put them up behind her head, "I dropped it, okay? Just take it and go!"

"Not yet," He shook the gun at her, "Take off your jacket."

Her breath caught in her throat, "What?"

"Take it off!" He yelled, "You have three seconds or I shoot."

"Okay, okay," Her voice was thick, heavy with panicked tears as she pulled the jacket off, "Please don't -"

"Now your shirt," He demanded, "Take it off!"

Her vision blurred with tears, "No, no, please don't do don't have to-"

"Here's the deal. You talk, I shoot. You scream, I shoot. You do anything other than what I tell you and I shoot. Got it?"

She nodded, tears rolling down her cheeks. She was shaking as her hands grasped the bottom of her shirt. It took her three tries to grasp the bottom but she eventually did and began to pull it off.

Through her blurry vision, however, she caught sight of a small black figure attacking the man from above. The gun went off but the bullet hit the brick on the other side of the ally. She wiped her tears and, once her eyes focused, they found Robin, who had disarmed the attacker and had him pinned to the ground, knocking him out with a swift blow to the temple.

The Boy Wonder turned towards her, hands up to show that he had no malintent. He kept a distance of seven feet between them, eyes looking at her apprehensively, "Are you okay?"

She nodded, tears still falling, "Y-Yeah."

"I can stay this far, if you want," Dick offered, his voice steady, "I won't touch you if you

don't want me to."

"No, no," She said, still shaking, "You're okay. You're okay."

Dick took a step towards her, slowly approaching. He didn't want to do anything to further upset her, especially not now, "You're okay, Diana, it's over. You're safe."
