Jack walked closer to the hospital bed that held the girl he thought of and loved like a daughter. His eyes took in every injury she had and how pale she was. He bent down and kissed her forehead before he sat gently on the edge of her hospital bed and grabbed her right hand in his. He hated seeing her with casts on because he knew that she would think that she looked broken once she was brought out of her medically induced coma. He took out a black sharpie and wrote on the cast she had on her right arm. Once he was finished, he put it back in his pocket and sighed, "I have no doubt that you have heard everything has said to you in the last three dayss, Brenda. I have no doubt that you have heard just how much Dylan loves you and has always loved you. You and I both know that he is probably blaming himself for you landing here in the hospital even though he didn't know you were back. We both know that when it comes to you that Dylan isn't rational."

He shook his head and smiled softly. "Then again when it comes to Dylan, daughter of mine, we both know that you aren't rational either. You know I really shouldn't be surprised that you somehow got word to Dylan about him being a father, but I somehow am surprised if not only because Christine and I didn't catch on to you letting him know. I recorded him holding Little Dylan for the first time because I knew that you would hate not being able to see it with your own eyes. Dylan is going to be a great father just like you have been a great mother, Brenda. I'm so happy that you and my son will finally be able to be with one another after all this time. I know that you know that I already see you as a daughter as does Christine and Iris."

He lifted his left hand and swiped at the tears running down his face. He knew that he needed to get his words out before somebody else joined him and Brenda. "I want you to know, Brenda, that I love you like a daughter and not just because I think you should be with my son. I have always seen you as a daughter from the moment I met you because I just knew that you would always be in mine and my son's life. You have changed my life for the better even if I never told you so to your face. It was because of you that I contacted Christine before we had to fake my death. I knew that I needed to be there for Dylan and for you and the only way that was going to happen was if I changed my ways."

He snorted out a laugh. "You practically raised Erica as your own once we found her and got her back. Our family is one of the strangest families ever, but I wouldn't change it for the world. We packed up your house and Erica and Iris are traveling with your belongings because none of us trusted them with your things on their own. Christine made sure that Dylan's house was stocked with your favorite foods and other things. Christine, Iris, Erica, and me are all moving here full time so that we will continue to be around you constantly because we got used to living with and/or near you for the last six years almost. Just remember that we all love you and are here for you so come back to us when you feel strong enough. I love you, daughter, and I'm so lucky to have you in my life."

He heard a noise at the door and when he saw that it was Christine he smiled lovingly at her. "Hello, wife."

Christine chuckled slightly. "Hello, husband. How is our girl doing?"

Jack shook his head. "She's injured badly but I know that she'll get better. I think that the doctor's putting her in an induced coma was the best thing for her. If she was awake, she'd be pushing to get out of here and this way her body gets a jump start on healing before she is able to put up a fight about being stuck in the hospital."

Christine nodded as she walked over and bent down and kissed Brenda on the cheek. "We're here, Brenda, and we'll be here when the doctors decide that it is alright to reverse the medically induced coma. You are finally where you have wanted to be for the past six years, honey, and your man has been waiting on you to come back home. I love you, Brenda, and can't wait to tell you about the adventure Iris, Erica, and I had talking to the movers we hired to help pack up your home in London."

She looked at Jack and smirked. "Everything is set up at Dylan's and two of my men are keeping a watch over the house while he is here with Brenda. I have already talked to the contractors that you have hired to add on to Dylan's place and they know that they have to clear everything with you, Jim, or me about what they do and when they want to do it. Erica is scheduled to meet with the Dean of UCLA two days from now and one of us will be going with her to explain why she is transferring so late in the year. Everyone here has a protective detail for the next week while we finish cleaning up the shit that Carson put into motion before he was arrested."

Jack's eyes flashed in anger. "That mother fucker is lucky that he's in jail because if I had caught up to him he wouldn't be alive right now. He's kept Brenda and Dylan apart just because he couldn't handle getting dumped. What kind of man or woman does that to someone that they profess to love? I just don't understand it, Christine. I hate that Brenda, Dylan, and Little Dylan has had to suffer for almost six years just because Brenda knew that she belonged with Dylan and nobody else."

Christine leaned into Jack and looked him right in the eyes. "They will be together now, Jack, and that is all that matters. We'll just make sure that they know how much we love them both and be there for them when they need us. No matter how much we may want to hurt Carson we can't because we have people who need us and are counting on us to be there by their side. Carson will finally get what he deserves because I plan on sending him photos of Brenda and Dylan together to rub it in his face that he didn't succeed in what he was trying to do. He will see and learn just how much he failed at keeping Brenda and Dylan apart. What matters now is that Brenda will finally get her happy ending with the man that she has always loved since she first met him. Oh, and Dylan wanted me to let you know he'll be back within an hour and a half. Brandon talked him into going home to shower and change for once."

Jack couldn't help but smirk at Christine. "Then that will be revenge enough for me, love. I can't wait to see the look on Brenda's face when she wakes up and Dylan is right beside her. She deserves to be happy and it's been a long time coming. I'm glad that Brandon was able to talk Dylan into going home even just for short bit because Brenda would hate to think that she was the reason he hasn't been home to check on things himself like he likes to do when he's in town."

He pulled Christine into his arms and kissed her lightly before he looked back at Brenda. He couldn't wait for her to open her eyes and be able to talk to them.
