Chapter 14
Sheryl's pov
I laid down next to Allen who was currently sleeping fitfully, his arms and legs tangled in the sheets looking like it would be impossible to get out of. After the attack a week ago which left a hole in my abdomen he has been getting less and less sleep each night; waking believing I had died in the attack. The only time he really gets a lot of sleep is when I lay next to him. If only I could tell him what we all had planned for the near future.
(flash back to when they return after the attack)
Neah was is front of me when I stepped out of the portal holding a catatonic Allen against my chest. Neah stopped and whipped around to face me by the looks of it he was furious.
"Sheryl take Allen to his room stay with him until he falls asleep then go to the meeting room we have things to discuss as a family." Neah demanded calmly a little too calmly. His voice could have bought any of the Noah to their knees it was so deadly calm. I nodded not wanting to anger him more I started running to Allen's room not checking where Neah was going since I already knew where he would go.
In Allen's room I placed him lightly on under the covers and raised them up to his chin, I then climbed in and tucked him to my side Bartholomew and Tim following me in. Not knowing how to bring him out of his state I just started rambling about everything eventually I placed his hand on my gut just so he could see that I wasn't injured any more. That was the magic thing to do because he started to stir after a while he opened his eyes. He blinked a couple times obviously trying to clear his mind when his eyes cleared I wasn't surprised when he shot up and into my lap as he burst into tears.
"Papa! You're alright right?!" I lifted my shirt to show him my belly and nodded. "Oh God thank the Akuma I thought I had lost you papa. I thought I would have to go back to the orphanage because no one would want me anymore since I got you killed. I thought you would hate me 'cause I got you killed. I thought- I thought…" I pulled my troubled son tightly up against my chest and hugged the life out of him.
"No way is that ever going to happen, Allen! Everyone in the Ark loves you no matter what happens, no matter who gets hurt, no matter what happens you will always belong here with us. Never will you return to that wicked place, never will you live like that, never will you be belittled for something that was not your fault, most importantly never blame yourself for anything that every happens that wasn't you fault. Do you hear me Allen? Never!" I pulled Allen away for a bit to look him in the face to see his response to my speech. In his eyes there was a magnitude of emotions ranging from shock to unworthiness but underling everything was pure trust and love. I nodded trusting what I saw and pulled him and myself down to the bed again. "Get some sleep Allen you need it." I put a finger to his lips when he started to object. "I'll be here when you wake I just need to talk with the rest of the family about what happened today. Okay?" Allen nodded and yawned; closing his eyes he was soon deep asleep.
3rd person
The door to the meeting room opened and in stepped Sheryl. Neah who had been fuming in his seat stood up and stormed over to Sheryl easily picking him up and slamming him into the wall.
"Where the hell have you been, Sheryl?! Do you know how much I want to kill you right now?!" Neah screamed into Sheryl's face his hands wrapped tightly around the other Noah's neck. Sheryl who was trying to tap out was suddenly let go, he sagged to the ground bonelessly. Coughing and hacking trying to breath he managed to get out.
"Neah I had," wheeze. "Make sure that," Sheryl coughed again and was able to take a deep breath. "Allen was able to fall asleep and he wasn't going to be able to do that if he thought I was injured like I was. If I had not let him see that I was fine he only would have gone on a rampage, he probably would have done something that he would regret later, you saw what he did to that Order member. Do you really want me to do that to Allen?" Sheryl finished strongly his throat fully healed.
Neah slumped; his anger dissipating with the last question, now the only thing in the air was fear, worry, and a tone of awe under all the other emotions. Sheryl stood and pulled Neah into a hug. "It's okay Neah he'll be alright we'll make sure of that." Neah nodded against Sheryl's neck, pulling away he smiled sheepishly.
"Sorry Sheryl, I don't know what came over me." Sheryl just nodded showing his understanding. A voice interrupted their moment.
"Neah, Sheryl not that I love to see you two get along so well but we really need to get this meeting underway. Why don't you two come have a seat?" The Earl asked from his seat at the head of the table.
Once Sheryl and Neah took a seat Sheryl noticed that not every one of them was there only Tyki, Road, Lulu Bell, Wisely, and Neah were in the room. Adam who noticed Sheryl's look said, "I see that you realized that not everyone is present I have told them the gist of what I believe to have happened and they will work on their own if they are needed. The twins deemed it not important to show today though I don't really know where they are. Now then since we are finally able to start why don't you two tell us about what has occurred today?"
And so Neah told everyone else with input from Sheryl. When they talked about Allen's sandwich ever one laughed a little, once they got to the kitten part Road and Lulu 'awww'ed at the described cuteness.
"Here's where the attack happened, I had felt that it was too quiet in the streets not a chirp of noise." Neah stopped letting Sheryl continue.
"I had felt eyes on me when there was a clicking noise only for me to find out that a gaping hole was blown out of my stomach." Road, Wisely, and Tyki all gasped and bolted over to their respective Father and brother and tore his shirt off causing buttons to fly all over Lulu just barely caught one before it hit her eye.
"Papa(Brother) are you okay, where is the wound, who was it that did it?" The three said together.
Sheryl sighed and leaned back into his chair. "Yes I'm okay, the wound healed already if you've forgotten that we heal faster than normal, and I was getting to it. Now go back to your seat so I can continue." The trio slinked back to their seats. Once they were sitting again Sheryl continued. "The girl that Road stabbed through the heart form the Black Order was the one who did it." He sent a meaningful look toward Road who looked affronted. "Does that healing ability sound familiar?" At the confused looks from everyone he sighed. "Katana, long pony tail, heals quickly, tattoo." Road looked up suddenly,
"That sounds like that Kanda Yuu person from Earth but that's supposed to be impossible the Black Order shouldn't have the powers of reincarnation." Road said. The Earl who had been silent till then suddenly spoke up, "I'm guessing, and this is just a speculation, since this Kanda was so experimented on back on Earth he had gained that gift and is the only Order member that remembers. Now if that is true she (A.N. I'm just going to say she because he is now a she in my verse.) is our biggest threat right now and since we have not heard of any others from the Order besides with the orphanage we must capture her before she contacts the rest of the Black Order." Everyone spoke their consent to this plan
Sheryl held up his hand, "I agree we need to discuss that but there is also something else, I think that we know some of Allen's power. That is part of what happened, when Allen was freaking out Neah had jumped in front of the girl when suddenly she fell to the ground screaming in agony. I had looked at Allen and he was staring at her with furious determination and when I knelt down next to him I heard that he was singing in a language that I didn't recognize it definitely was not the language that Mana taught Allen."
Earl hummed to himself for a moment contemplating everything that he had heard, "it seems that he has a power similar to yours, Neah. Let's keep an eye on Allen for now to see if anything else surfaces maybe his power will develop more. However for now let's not tell Allen about his power right now unless he remembers, I want his powers to activate without him using his anger to unleash them." The other five nodded their agreement. "Now that that's settled Road Tyki I want you two out searching for the girl capture her alive if you have to make sure she cannot get away. Injuries can be dealt. Lulu Wisely I need you two looking for any suspicious goings-on that might have anything to do with the Black Order. Neah and Sheryl keep looking after Allen you two are doing a marvelous job accidents aside."
Road stood and pulled Tyki up next to her, "Well get right on it, Adam. How often do you want us back to report?"
"Every two days I don't want Allen to worry more that he does already." Tyki nodded as Road summoned a door which they both walked into, the door sinking into the floor.
"Earl? I start working on it should I take anyone else with me?" Lulu said after the door was fully gone. Adam thought for a bit,
"Yes, why don't you also take Toraido with?" Lulu and Wisely nodded before they walked out the room to go find their wayward Noah.
(end of flashback)
Sheryl's pov
"Papa what are you doing here?" Allen's voice came out of know where. It seemed that when I was remembering he had woken up. I looked at him and burst out laughing Allen really made a sight. His hair heavy with bedhead was sticking all over the place. His pajamas were clinging to him in a restringing manor and his cheeks were flush with surprise. I blatantly ignored the small dark circles under his eyes not knowing what I could do about them. "Hey! Papa, don't laugh at me!" Allen demanded. I stifled my laughter the best I could.
"Sorry Allen I just really couldn't handle it when you look like that you should really see yourself. As for why I'm here I just wanted to see how you were holding up and seeing you sleeping was just too cute to wake you up." I sat up picking Bartholomew up who had at some point curled up next to my stomach. Allen sat up as well and grabbed for the black puff ball. Holding him up to his face Allen rubbed his nose against the kitten's. It was odd but I suppose he was just showing his affection for it. Allen must have seen my puzzled expression 'cause he said, "I saw to cats doing this when I was younger as a show of greeting so I thought I would do it with Barth."
Hearing the nickname for the cat I sputtered, "B-Barth that's what you're calling the puff ball?" Oh, this was too good I burst out laughing again. Allen started laughing as well they didn't stop for a long time and when one of them looked at the kitten they started right over again.

So how was it? I know it was mostly a flash back but at least it was interesting right? So next chapter not really sure but I'll probably make it a filler chapter from someone's suggestions. Thanks again for sticking with me! On to chapter 15.
