Chapter 13

Recap;

"What the hell are you smirking at you damn bastard!" Hidan yelled in frustration but his eyes were focused on my father.

"Well, well Pein, you think you had this all figured out. Well then let me ask you this, with you and all your strongest ninja here, who's protecting you precious village?" the next thing I know he disappears in numerous snakes.

He was a clone.

And.

Amegakure was in danger.

Sakura's P.O.V

I panted and ran as fast as my legs could take me. After Orochimaru had given us his 'warning' of sorts about Ame the Hokage demanded that everyone who was present to follow us and assist us in defeating Orochimaru and protect Ame. So now it was just a big blur of ninjas running at full speed towards Amegakure.

No one spoke a word as we traveled with heavy tension in the air. Really, Konoha didn't have to do anything; I guess they just felt guilty that it was a Konoha missing-nin that was currently fighting a war against Ame.

Finally the silence was somewhat broken as Fugaku began questioning the Hokage about his decision to leave the village while it was just attacked.

The Hokage just assures him that the previous Hokage; Sarutobi, was handling things in Konoha.

Next it was Hiashi who had asked him something.

"Are you sure we should even be doing this? I realize that Orochimaru is one of our own missing-nin and Ame could easily destroy the peace treaty we have with them if we don't help, but would loosing such a weak village as an allie really be that much trouble?"

Jiraiya scoffed making the rest of the Konoha and Suna shinobi look at him.

He and Tsunade had ran into us on the way out of the village and when they were told what had happened they insisted that they come along, not one to turn down help when they really needed it my father accepted. He may have pride but he's not stupid.

"Something you would like to say master Jiraiya?" wondered Hiashi with a raised eyebrow.

"This village is anything but weak; they're as strong as the Amekage."

"And how would you know how strong the Amekage is?"

This time both Jiraiya and Tsunade scoffed.

"Because; I'm the one who trained them many years ago during the second shinobi world war."

This bit of information caused a series of gasps to erupt. It didn't come as a shock to me considering they told me the story once before already as a bed time story when I was little. Though it still surprised the rest of the Akatsuki and team 13.

"So, these four are the four you were talking about, the ones you helped train in the shinobi war. The ones on the outskirts of Ame?" asked Minato without looking at him.

He nodded, also looking straight ahead.

It wasn't long till we decided to take a break and let some of the genin's take a break with their families.

The Akatsuki went in their own group.

"We don't have time for a break Pein! Ame is in danger!" my mom spoke with worry laced in her voice. My father nodded, agreeing with her. He turned to look at me.

"The Akatsuki will keep moving, you and your team however are to stay with the other shinobi. Because Ame is under attack no one would be allowed in the village unless accompanied by another Ame ninja. This is why you are to stay with them and help them get through the village gates." My father explained to me. I nodded in understanding, if they didn't leave now; the village is as good as gone.

They all got prepared to leave. My mother and father had kissed my head before taking off in nothing but a blur of black and red.

I sighed as I looked back to my teammates, surprised to see my uncles still here. They both handed me a piece of paper. When I looked at it I had to stifle a gasp, when I turned to ask them about it they were both already gone.

"What is it Saki?" I turned around to my two teammates and considered telling them about it.

I bit my lip and handed them the piece of paper. They look as surprised as I was.

I silently shook my head and turned back around and walked to the others. Once I got there they all looked up at me and my team.

"Where's the rest of the Akatsuki?" asked Minato.

"They kept moving. I was told to wait here with you so there wouldn't be any trouble when we reached the gates."

They all seemed to understand. Once they've all caught their breath and stood up we took of to the trees again.

No one said a word until we finally reach the village gate about twenty maybe thirty minutes later.
At first the guards tensed when they saw more ninja approach but relaxed when they saw I was with them. I only nodded to them before speeding right through the gates, the others following behind me. And soon enough we were running on water to get to the main part of the village.

Once we got there I saw all of Ame's ninja fighting against several ninjas in their curse mark form. I cursed, several Ame ninja were dying!

I closed my eyes and felt my Rinnegan activating as I surged my chakra through them.

I knelt to the ground with my eyes still closed and performed several hand signs before slamming my palm to the ground.

"Summoning jutsu, giant multi headed dog!" I yelled as an enormous brown dog with ten heads appeared, each one had my fathers chakra receiver in their head and the Rinnegan.

"Holy shit." Naruto said as he and everyone else looked up to my summon and watched as all ten heads separated into individual dogs as they all rushed forward and began attacking the enemy.

"Sakura-chan?" I heard Naruto ask as he placed a hand on my shoulder. I slowly opened my eyes and looked at him. He gasped as he pointed to my eyes.

"So, you really are the Amekage's daughter." I looked to Fugaku who had spoken and nodded in his direction before facing forward again.

"So, do we finally get to kick some ass?" Naruto asked, barley containing his excitement.

I grinned, "Oh yeah, go all out and don't hold back! We're gonna kill this bastard!" I yelled as I charged forward, the others following suit.

Everyone took off in different directions to take care of their own enemy; they all had something to do. I looked a few kilometers to the left as saw Itachi and Shisui working together to kill off a particularly strong ninja in its stage two curse mark form. I thought back to the note my uncles gave me before leaving.

Sakura, should Itachi and Shisui prove worthy enough, ask them to join the Akatsuki.

I grinned, they'd be perfect if they joined. I watched as they danced around the enemy effectively confusing him before Itachi had ran a katana through his chest. I couldn't help but stare at him, the was his long black hair flowed behind him due to his fast moving pace, the way his pupils dilated while focusing on his next target. I silently watched as a bead of sweat rolled down his neck and passed his collar bone and down his shirt, I soon found it hard to swallow… and breathe.

I was so caught up that I failed to notice someone sneaking up behind me, I only had a split second to brace myself when he made his presence known and kicked me in my back, sending me flying though the air and crash into a nearby building.

I held in a gasp as I felt a few of my ribs crack, slightly thankful that they didn't puncture my lung.

I silently cursed at Itachi; I had no idea why I was so distracted by him!

I picked myself up from the rubble and charged forward with a battle cry and attacked the man that attacked me. With a lightning jutsu I stopped his heart. I whirled around when I felt another come at me.

It went on like this for a while and once one area was cleared I moved on to the next area and did the same thing.

As I was running to find another enemy I ran into Itachi. I thought back to before and found myself trying to restrain my blush. We both ran in silence till we reached the main fight, where my father, mother and the rest of the Akatsuki were, fighting against not only Kabuto but the sound four and Kimimaro. I swore under my breath but I knew Itachi heard it when he looked my way.

"Orochimaru isn't here, only his dogs are." His eyes widened before looking around. His eyes narrowed.

Seriously! Where the hell was he? He just has to be here he has to!

After about an hour of fighting it looked like and village was just about cleared. But before anyone could celebrate an explosion was heard.

"Man I knew this was over way to soon!" Hidan yelled, looking just as pissed and exhausted as everyone else however no one complained as we ran towards the explosion.

Everyone held their breath as Manda appeared, Orochimaru's summon.

"Where's Orochimaru? He had to have summoned Manda here so he has to be around here somewhere!"

At one moment I heard a foot step into a puddle of water with a splash, the next I was soaring through the sky in pain, due to the snake that was latched on to my back.

I felt Orochimaru tear the Akatsuki Kimono I was wearing so I had only remained in chest bindings and my spandex shorts.

I heard my mother and father call out my name along with Sasori, Deidera and Tobi who had yelled something about the snake trying to get in my pants causing Hidan to whip out his scythe while promising to sacrifice him to Jashin and Kisame threatening to rip him to shreds.

"You forget one thing Pein! I'm the one who had sealed the two tailed demon within her, I can easily reverse the seal releasing it too!" he yelled out, a glowing hand reaching for my back.

The last thing I saw was all the terrified faces of the Konoha, Suna and Ame ninja. Then, darkness.

A/N; I am so sorry for the late update and I know this chapter wasn't me best but I had no idea how to get on with the story, I was in a bit of a block, I knew was I wanted to happen I just didn't know how to put it into words.

Longer chapter next time! I promise!
