Ok I'm back with another exciting chapter for you all. Though probably the citizens of San Francisco would most likely disagree but I digress. Quick heads up this chapter was co-written by Raptorhunter18 and me. I do have announcement though I have begun writing a DC fancfic about Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl at the request of Jay AKA Jordan. It is being written offscreen that way I can finish the stories that I am currently juggling. Other than that feel free to read this chapter.

Ch. 13 As Midnight Approaches

Moniku sat at a restaurant on the far end of the city. She was curious about how much things have changed since the age of demons. For place ruled by pesky insects, they made pretty good food, was the thought drifting through the ebony skinned woman's mind as she finished a plate of spaghetti.

She looked out the window towards the pacific ocean. Her golden eyes starting at the still waters. She watched as something breached the surface for a few seconds before diving back under sending a small wave of water rushing in every direction. She smiled a bit as she watched a whale swim its course through the water. Nature had an order, and she was looking to re-establish that order.

The waiter walked up to her to see if everything was to her liking. She smiled and nodded letting the man know that whoever prepared her dish had done a satisfactory job. He sat a small piece of paper down before walking away. Moniku picked up the paper to see and saw that it listed the meal.

She looked further down and saw four numbers $29.79. Moniku huffed not sure if a meal she ate was even worth the price, not that she planned to pay the bill either way.

She looked around to see that all eyes were on her. To them she seemed like a normal black woman in a dark blue kimono, but to them there was something different about her. They couldn't figure it out but all eyes were on her.

Moniku smiled liking the attention. However she became distracted by the sound of the T.V. announcing an emergency broadcast. What Moniku saw quickly enraged the demon.

Downtown inside a church was a group of people seeking shelter. It felt like a war was being fought outside as the sounds tanks and jets flying over outside filled their ears. Families huddled together, midnight was drawing closer and it had only been half an hour since all the terror started. The pastor of the church began to speak hoping to give the people seeking shelter some form of relief, after all they were in the house of God, it is here where they are supposed to always feel secure.

"I know its seems scary and I know I don't need to tell what you have with a doubt just witnessed, but we are faced with forces that we cannot truly comprehend. Forces that we are not meant to understand because it is not in our hands to do so." The pastor said. The people looked around as the felt the ground start to shake and as the sounds of battle grew closer to the church.

"We have to remember that it is God that is in control, and it is God that will keep us safe." He said with great assurance and determination in his voice.

Suddenly the side of the church collapsed inward quickly filling the church with dust and debris. The pastor ran for cover covering his head with his hands as the dust filled the room. The dust quickly settled and the pastor looked in the direction of the destruction and his eyes went wide with fear.

He looked up as a large creature was slowly rising up from its back after having being knocked down. The creature had long huge ears, sharp fangs and was covered in a greyish-black fur and skin. It appeared to be a giant bat.

Komori sat up and looked down to see the people she had landed on when she impacted the church. Man, woman and children laid strewn out underneath her form as their collective spilled blood pooled together. Komori looked up when she heard a roar coming from her left.

She saw a giant Bengal Tiger rushing down the street after her. Josei stormed down the street crushing any vehicle or unlucky soldier whether it be Slayer or Were-Vamp under foot. She let out a loud roar as she closed in on her enemy.

Komori quickly spread her wings, shaking off the debris of the church and took flight just as Josei tried to catch her in her jaws. The pastor watched as the tiger chased the bat away from the church, he looked up when he saw a giant raven fly over head with several F-15's in pursuit.

Will and Felix were locked in combat as well. Will was knocked back as Felix landed a heavy right punch to his face. The punch immediately drew blood from his mouth. He put up his guard blocking with his wing and then using his wings to knock Felix back.

"Can't you see you're fighting a losing battle?" Will asked Felix.

"I am?" He quickly retorted. "Looks like I've been winning so far." With a cocky smirk.

Felix ran in and leapt into the air and tried to hit Will with a jump kick, but Will caught his foot and swung him around before slamming the Were-Vamp agent on the ground hard. Felix groaned from the impact, he opened his eyes to see Will raising his foot over Felix's head.

Will brought his foot down, and found that he had only impacted the ground in which Felix was previously lying. Will turned to see Felix behind him and was immediately hit by the back of the hybrid's fist. Will brought his hands up to cover his face as he stepped back away from Felix.

"So who's fighting the losing battle?" Felix asked Will.

Suddenly a high pitched shriek filled both of theirs ears. The sound was coming from Komori as she bombarded Josei's ears with her cries. Recovering quickly from the sonic cry Will rushed Felix and grabbed him by his throat.

"I believe you are." Will grinned.

He threw Felix off the building they were on and watched as he landed on the roof of another. Will prepared himself to fly over and finish Felix but a shadow fell over him. He looked up to see Komori lifting Josei off of the ground. The bat demon's next action was to throw the Neko demon causing Josei to impact the very building Felix had landed on.

Will smiled glad that Felix was out of his hair. His smiled faded however when he seen Felix stumble out from underneath the rubble. Will growled. 'If you want to kill someone, you kill them yourself.'

Will was about to fly down when a familiar scent filled his nostrils. He turned to see Shego walking up behind him, a scowl on her face.

"What brings you to my part of the neighborhood?" Will asked.

"I thought I'd do a little sight-seeing, you know take in the sights, visit some landmarks, and kick your ass for pissing me the fuck off!" Shego growled.

"Why can't you see that you've lost?" Will asked her. "I've brought with me things you cannot hope to fathom." Will said.

Shego watched as a horde of bat demons took to the skies in response to Komori's high pitched shriek. She watched the demons take flight and attack Midoriichi, as she did battle with the dragon they had brought with them from the Feudal Era.

"You're not the only one familiar with demon kind." Shego said as she looked back at him. Will craned his eyebrow at her words.

"I read up on the history of them and the demons you brought back with you are nothing compared to the ones that I side with. Furthermore I have a special bond with that one." Shego said looking up at Midoriichi. "So all you've done was solidify our victory here tonight and seal your fate."

Will laughed. "You can't kill me. If you do that you'll never find where your kids have been hidden."

"You bastard, why did you take them in the first place?" Shego growled.

"Mostly just to piss you off." Will simply answered. "Honestly your brats are of no interest in us. We had hoped by taking them you'd two kill each other, but sadly that's not the case. However it's Midoriichi's children that are the real prize. Once she has completed the ritual tonight the power hidden in those infants will be ours."

"This woman you mentioned, I can only assume you meant Moniku the shape shifter?" Shego asked. "You're a fool if you think she is really on your side. Once you give her what she wants she'll be able to lay waste to not only the past, but our present as well."

"You assume too much Shego. Our time is much more advanced than hers, demons have been replaced by lycans and vampires. There is a new order."

"Think Will she is manipulative. Her words sound like sweet nectar to the blind. Who knows how many werewolves and vampires it would take to kill her if she got too strong. Who knows how many might rally to her side with the false promises she will give them, like she has given you."

"I'm in control!" Will shouted.

"You think you are. Look around does this look like control?"

Will surveyed the area, it was a miniature war being fought in the heart of San Francisco.

"No this is destruction." Will said. "I'm destroying the old world and will create a new one from its ashes."

Will knew that Moniku was a manipulative creature, and he was sure that she had something up her sleeve; however he knew that he was a better tactician. When it came to completing goals Moniku took unnecessary risks, relying on her power to bail her out of any unseen situations that she might or might not have created. Will on the other hand, he took everything into account. He liked to plan things out hours to a day ahead to make sure he had all the necessary angles covered. In his mind it was just annoying to have to deal with anything that was not in the game plan, like the current situation at hand.

He now had to deal with the Slayers and Were-Vamp because of a demon's bloated ego. It was time to relocate and move things into their final phases, but Moniku was nowhere to be found. It irked him how Moniku seemed to enjoy seeing his plan fall to pieces especially if she or the others were the ones responsible for it.

He focused his attention back on Shego. He would deal with her quickly before the others decided to make matters worse and assist her.

Shego was ready for battle and wasting no time in transforming into her true lycan form. She shredded through her clothing as her black fur sprouted forth. She towered over Will and reared her head back releasing a howl.

She then charged forward and grabbed Will. He was ready for her and smirked when she grabbed him. His smirk confused her, why was he smiling when he was in her grip? Surely he knew what awaited him? Her answer came in the form of a puncture wound to her left shoulder from Will's right wing.

She roared in pain, but that was silenced as Will grabbed her by her throat. He gripped it tightly choking her. He then spread his wings and took flight into the sky with Shego in his grasp. He flew up several miles above the city, giving him a great view and a terrifying one for Shego.

He smiled when he spotted a small island with a lone structure on it. That's where they would retreat to, so Moniku could finish her bothersome ritual. He looked backed to Shego with an evil grin.

"This is where we say our good-byes."

Will released his grip on Shego and watched her fall, gravity rapidly pulling her back towards the ground.

Shego looked up at Will seeing his form against the full moon, still being able to hear his laughter as she fell. Shego found it kind of ironic that gravity would be her downfall instead of death coming from a vampire or a Slayer. The blood poured from her wound as descent towards the ground steadily became more rapid and she reverted back to her human state.

Shego kept falling as fighter jets passed her chasing after some bat demons. Suddenly there was an explosion as a dragon had blown up the Golden Gate Bridge. San Francisco had become the site for a battle.

Suddenly a monstrous sized raven flew right at Shego. Its right foot shot out and grabbed her making her eyes shoot open. She looked up as the raven had released her onto the top of a building before transforming back into a woman.

"Good catch." Shego said to Midoriichi with a smirk.

"I thought about just letting your ass keep falling, but I still need you Kuzuri." Midoriichi responded.

Suddenly there was some shrieking making them look ahead. Bat demons landed on the roof and stared at them. Just as soon as they landed two helicopters lifted up behind them. The spot lights and hit them and the guns came to life as bullets started ripping through them. The helicopters killed the bat demons and prepared to leave when a massive jet of fire slammed into it.

Both Shego and Midoriichi watched as a dragon flew directly passed them. Its tail shot out and slammed into some more helicopters, cleaving them in half. They exploded as they fell to the ground below. The dragon roared out as it let loose another stream of fire onto a line of tanks. Both women looked on as the dragon swooped over the bay.

"We need to kill that fucker." Shego growled.

"Yes I do." Midoriichi said.

"You?"

"Yes me." Midoriichi said as she pointed at the hole in her shoulder.

"I'll be fine I'm already starting to heal. I may not be a demon, but I can hold my own." Shego said.

"That you can." Midoriichi said deciding against a playful argument. "Well are you ready to become a dragon slayer?"

Shego looked back at her and smiled as her hands came alight with her plasma. The daiyokai then sprouted large black wings with green tipped feathers. Her wings flapped as she grabbed Shego by her shoulders. She took into the air giving them a good look at the city. Fires started to rage as the battle between Midoriichi's and Shego's forces and Moniku's and Will's forces.

The Slayers and Were-vamp were doing a joint operation to protect the city, and the soldiers were under strict orders not to attack Josei and the others unless giving a direct order from either Barkin or Betty. Both Barkin and Betty were pulling out all the stops as war ships had pulled into the bay and started firing at the demons.

A lone F-35 roared by with a A-10 right behind it. Explosions were flashing behind them ripping into the streets below. They suddenly looked over as the dragon swooped by them and came into a hover. It started breathing napalm breath down into the streets. The screams of the unfortunate were heard as they were engulfed in the flames.

"You ready?" Midoriichi screamed to Shego.

"As ready as I'll ever be!" Shego replied.

Midoriichi released Shego letting her plummet to the ground below. She smirked as her glowing fists went out. They glowed brightly as she transformed into her true lycan form. She roared loudly, her amber eyes locking onto the dragon below. Opening her fist, the plasma wrapped around her claws. Letting out another roar she caught the attention of the dragon. Just as it turned its head to face her, Shego slammed into its wing.

The dragon roared out from the impact as the velocity from the impact was great enough to topple the dragon. The resulting crash to the ground extinguished the flames around them. Shego pushed some of the debris off of herself and crawled out with a growl. Staggering to her feet she looked around as some flames burned around her. She then heard some growling behind her. Turning around her amber eyes looked to see the dragon getting back onto its feet. It's fiery orange eyes locked onto Shego. The scales from the dragon protecting it from harm.

It roared as it got on all fours and stared at her. Shego roared back as she pumped her fist out. A beam of plasma slammed into the dragon making its head snap to the right. Its head slowly turned back to her, the plasma smoking around its head. It growled deeply as it looked down at the werewolf below it. Suddenly it dropped to the ground roaring in pain.

She looked to see Midoriichi had formed a spear made from her demonic energy. She had driven the spear into the dragons shoulder, but still did not wound it greatly because of the creature's scales. She twisted the spear it hopes of causing it more pain, but that only served to annoy the creature more. Suddenly its tail rose up and swatted her away like she was an insect. Shego watched as she rolled across the ground next to her. Midoriichi stood up and looked at the lycan warrior.

"This is a tough one."

"Nothing a werewolf and a demon can't handle." Shego said.

"You sound like you have a plan. What do you propose Kuzuri?"

"During our fight when our powers clashed we created a bomb. Let's do that again." Shego replied with a smile as she looked at Midoriichi.

They both smiled as they looked at the dragon. Turning its head it breathed fire at them. They dodged to the sides as the fire barreled down the road. The dragon roared out and turned its attention towards the sky above. An A-10 swooped over firing its cannon at the dragons back. It breathed a fire ball at the jet, catching it in its wing. The jet spun out of control before slamming into the ground. The dragon turned its attention back towards Midoriichi and Shego.

They had used the dragon's momentary distraction to charge their powers. Shego charging her plasma and Midoriichi her aura. The dragon's eyes locked on to the two bright green glows, when suddenly they launched their attacks. As the two beams flew towards the dragon they merged together. Confused the dragon watched as a swirling ball of energy, the ball of energy slowly began to grow in radius a bit.

Shego and Midoriichi glanced at the other, they punched their fists out and sent a massive burst of energy into the ball of energy. It exploded and the resulting explosion consumed the dragon. Glass shattered as the shockwave blew out the windows and sent the two women bouncing back. Once they got up they only saw the smoldering remains of the dragon. Both breathed a sigh of relief before looking at the other and laughing.

Suddenly Will Du slammed into Midoriichi's back. The impact sent her bouncing across the ground. Shego quickly phased into her true lycan form and jumped at Will. In a flash he turned and smacked her away with his wing.

He started laughing as Midoriichi jumped to her feet. The demon launched a turret of aura at him trying to reserve her demonic energy levels. He stood there taking the full brunt of the attack. When the smoke cleared Will was standing there un-phased.

"When will you learn that your aura attacks don't have any effect on me?"

He prepared to move on her when a clawed hand gripped his shoulder. He looked at it to see it was covered in grey fur. Looking back further he saw a werewolf he was never hoping to see, Tara. Suddenly she roared at him before her other hand shot out and slammed into his chest. He was sent flying through the air but before he could regain himself he slammed into a pole light. He slammed into the ground and rolled a bit. Growling he lifted his head to see Tara standing next to Shego.

He got up and looked in their direction. The werewolves were looking at them as the bird demon stood with them. They all looked up when they heard a loud roar. They watched as Josei still in her transformed state chased down Komori. She leapt into the air catching the bat demon in her massive claws as they both crashed into the pyramid building. The building quickly collapsed inward on itself. The building fell and covered them in a giant cloud of dust and debris.

Will's face contorted into an expression of anger as he they had finally gotten on his last nerves. He launched himself at them. The three female warriors tried to dodge him but they weren't quick enough.

His legs shot out and the impact sent both Tara and Shego flying back. He watched them bounce across the ground before turning his attention back to the demon. He looked at her and smiled as she got into a fighting stance.

"It would just be easier if you laid your head down so I can remove it. I'm far stronger than you and the wolves." He boasted.

"Sorry Du that's where you're wrong. I haven't even begun show you my true powers." Midoriichi smirked. "Besides you should know I don't give in so easily."

"Damn." He said looking at her.

Suddenly his shot forward as he tried to stab her, but Midoriichi jumped back. She ducked low as he tried to swipe her with his other wing. Her green eyes looked up at him as he jumped up at her. His fist shot by almost connecting with her face. She brought her fist up and connected with his jaw for an uppercut. The impact caused him to stagger back and look at her. His eyes shot wide when he saw both Tara and Shego jumping over Midoriichi. Before he could react they were on him.

Their claws shot out trying to slash him. He ducked as Tara slashed at him but he ducked right into Shego. Her clawed hand ripped into his chest making him roar in pain. He staggered backwards when suddenly Tara slammed into his back. He bounced across the ground, getting kicked once by Midoriichi.

"Enough!" A voice roared.

Suddenly waves of black aura slammed into everyone, sending them flying back into buildings. All except for Will. He looked around before turning to look behind him. He smiled when he saw Moniku walking up behind him, her golden eyes glowing. She looked at the hybrid not at all pleased.

"I step away not even for an hour, and everything goes to shit. I thought you could handle this, but obviously that was asking for too much. Now that our cover is blown we'll need to speed things up. We're leaving now." Moniku said.

Before Will could respond gunfire was heard. They both turned to see soldiers from both the Slayers and Were-Vamp running up firing their guns at them.

Moniku stepped forward her hand up as the Mark of Hell glowed brightly. She began to chant making Will look over to her. She placed her hand on the ground and the streets exploded upwards with pillars of fire. Soon hellhounds poured out of the holes made by the flame pillars and charged the soldiers before them. Standing their ground the soldiers fired at the flaming beasts charging them. It did them no good though. The beast slammed into the soldiers, and the screams of the unfortunate could be heard alongside the sounds of tearing flesh.

"This world has truly forgotten the power of demons." Moniku commented.

"Yes, now for my revenge." Will said as he turned to look at Shego who was in her human form once more."

This is the end for this chapter. Will the fate of the Shego and the others be sealed now that Moniku has rejoined the group? What of Kimiko and the others how will they fare in this? Next update will be for God of KiGo.
