"Jade is the Turkey almost done?" Cat called out to her.
"Yup, taking it out of the oven now." Jade replied, doing as she said pulling the large bird out of the oven before placing it on the counter and going over to the stuffing.
Robbie then made his way over to the turkey, beginning to cut it into slices and placing it on a large platter.
Cat was stirring the cranberry sauce when the doorbell rang.
"Ding dong…" She muttered, mimicking the doorbell and she shuffled over to the door.
She opened to it, revealing Robbie's parents standing there each holding pies.
"Yay you're here! Come in, come in…" Cat ushered them inside, the aroma of different foods hitting them in the face.
"Wow it smells amazing darling!" His mom, Carol, commented, placing the pies on the island.
"Thank you!"
"Hey Mom! Hey Dad!" Robbie said, leaving the turkey to hug his parents.
"Hey Rob. Anything you need us to do?" His dad, Rich, asked.
"Um, do you mind setting the table? Dinner is almost done."
"No problem honey." His mom replied, going to get the plates, forks, knives and what not.
Cat finished up the cranberry sauces, pouring it into a dish before setting it on the table.
Her and Jade then did the same with everything else until the table was piled with various foods.
Andre and Beck, who had been working on the Ham, finished it up as Tori did the same with the stuffing, trying to find space for it on the table.
Once the table was set and everything had been laid out, everything had found a seat. Cat next to Robbie, Jade next to Beck, Tori next to Andre, and Robbie's parents next to each other.
"Anyone wanna start and say what they are thankful for first?" Cat asked looking around.
"I'll start." Tori volunteered, standing up.
"I'm thankful for my family and friends and everyone who has supported me and my music. I'm thankful for this wonderful meal we are about to eat and the goals I have achieved in my life. Never in a million years did I ever see myself following my dreams, I'm very thankful for that." She finished smiling, before taking her seat.
Everyone went around saying what they were thankful for. Andre was thankful for his music and his friends and family. Beck and Jade were thankful for their career and how well they were doing, also including their friends and family.
Robbie stood smiling as he began to say what he was thankful for.
"I'm thankful for my life and the people in it, my wonderful friends, my wonderful supporting parents, and all the great things that have happened in my life." He then looked down at Cat. "I'm thankful to be spending the rest of my life with the most beautiful girl in the world. And to be able to start a family with her…that's just amazing…" He finished.
Cat smiled up at him, grabbing his hand to help her stand up.
"I'm so thankful for everything I have. My friends and family…and my amazing husband." She said looking him in the eye. "But not only is he my husband but he's my best friend. I wouldn't be here without him…literally…" She trailed over, rubbing a hand over the scar on her neck she received in the accident years ago. "And I'm thankful for m-my baby and…god I'm such a sap…" She laughed as tears sprang to her eyes.
Everyone smiled as Robbie pulled Cat into a tight hug. "I love you kitten…" He mumbled against her hair.
"I love you too…so much…" She said, leaning up to place a gentle kiss on his lips.
"Let's eat!" Cat said happily as she pulled away, whipping her tears from her cheeks.
Everyone dug in. Enjoying each other's company and making small talk.
"So how's everything with the baby?" Carol asked Cat.
"Everything's great! We decided we want the gender to be a surprise and everything looks normal for 6 months. I have another appointment this week." She smiled, taking a bit of her food.
"That's good…" His mom trailed off, looking as if she wanted to ask something but was too afraid to.
"Is everything okay Mom?" Robbie asked.
"Y-Yeah…its just…I was wandering, if you were okay with it, if I came along to your next appointment? I mean I don't have a daughter and you don't have motherly figure in your life so I-" Carol started to explain but was cut off with Cat lunging at her, pulling her into a tight embrace.
"I would love for you to come with us!" She said happily.
"Really?" Her mom smiled.
"Yes! And we could go out to lunch after too! Rich do you wanna come too?" She asked, letting go of his mom and looking over at him.
"Sure. It sounds like fun." He smiled.
"Yay!" Cat cheered, taking a bite of her biscuit.
Robbie smiled adoringly at her before turning to Andre.
"So how's everything with you?" He asked.
"Pretty good actually. Republic Records just hired me as one of their new managers." He said proudly.
"Really? That's awesome man!" Robbie exclaimed, reaching over the table to fist bump him.
"Have any clients yet?" Tori asked, looking over at him.
"Well I was thinking…maybe if you-"
"Of course Andre!" She said happily, side hugging him.
"How's the movie coming along with you two?" Cat asked suggestively.
"Cat. We aren't telling you anything about it." Jade said simply, smirking.
"Psh I was just asking…" Cat said, blushing a bit. Jade raised an eye brow at her.
"Ugh why can't you just tell me?" Cat asked defeated.
"Because it's against the rules. Cat, you know me, I would if I could."
"No you wouldn't. You'd watch me be tortured." Cat pouted.
Jade thought about it for a moment.
"Yeah maybe you're right." Jade said smiling evilly.
Robbie just smiled at his wife as she failed to get Jade to give in by giving her the puppy dog look.
…
Everyone now had finished dinner and sat around the fire place, drinking coffee, Cat drinking herbal tea.
"This is nice…" Cat sighed contently, leaning into Robbie as they sat on couch.
He nodded in agreement, wrapping one arm around her shoulders as she snuggled closer to him.
"We should do this more often." Jade commented.
At the sound of those words Cat's eyes lit up, just like they always do when she has an idea.
"What are you thinking baby…" Robbie asked with a chuckled at her cute expression.
"We should do this more often!" She said, causing everyone to look at her weird.
"Cat I just said that." Jade laughed.
"No for real! Once a month all of us will clear up a spot on our busy schedules and have a nice dinner together. We could even take turns for who's house we have it at." She said smiling widely.
Everyone looked around at each other, silently seeing if it was a good idea.
"Sure Cat, that sounds like fun. I'm all for it if you guys are." Tori said, looking around.
Everyone nodded in agreement, getting a smile from Cat.
A/N: Sorry if this chapter sucked. I wanted to fit Holidays into the story. But don't worry; I'll make it up to you. Might update again today or just write a fluffy one-shot because I'm bored out of my mind. I'm also debating whether or not I should wait to start my new OOC story I have in mind. Idk if I should start it now in case I can't find time to update this story and that one. But I have really good ideas. Then when I finish that OOC story I have another one I'm planning.
I really wanna try OOC because I've never done it before and it seems like a lot of fun! I'll give you a sneak peak of that story maybe…maybe. But I like building stories off of songs, so for that one I'm using the song Unconditionally by Katy Perry! I'm obsessed with it!
Also 3 more months until the baby! Boy or Girl? What should their name be? I have names in mind. They are mostly the names that I want to name my kids haha I mentioned some already in earlier chapters.
But I'm also going to write in a Christmas chapter too so that should be fun.
Review and let me know what you think the gender of the baby should be and a name!
