Chapter 14
Death sighed and leaned back in his chair, putting his feet up on the desk in front of him. Martina was off into the afterlife again. Once she had had a few months she would have explored it all and spend most of her days with Death, he thought. Louie pulled up a chair next to him.
"Have you ever liked someone Louie?" Death pondered. Louie stared at him. "You know, LIKE liked somebody?" Death asked. "Hmm, no? Why are you looking at me in that way Louie, it is a bit weird! Me, no, well, I am not quite sure... Martina is rather lovely isn't she? Too hooked on that Joey fellow though... LOUIE! Why are you staring at me strangely?" Death stretched slightly, lost in his thoughts. "Of course, there's always been lovely people who have come through... Shirtless boxers, scantily clad Egyptians... Yes Louie, I can find males attractive too! Although not as attractive as myself, clearly..." he waggled his head in a jokey way, "LOUIE, why are you staring at me like that?!" Death stood up and stretched. "Well then Louie, I am off to make myself a coffee..." Death wandered into the next room.
Louie stared after Death with a weird expression upon his face. Death's comments had made him think.
Death wandered back through.
"When's the Halloween party this year Louie? We always have one! Should we do fancy dress this year... I would rather like to have an Egyptian theme thinking about it... Or maybe Greek... Or Victorian! Why haven't we had a Victorian themed Halloween party yet Louie?!"
Death skipped out of the room once more, making plans for the party.
