Violet visited Stuart in the middle of his shift that night. She looked tired, but unscathed. He hopped the counter to embrace her. This seemed to alarm most of the people in the shop at that moment.

"Are you okay? What happened after I left?"

"Nothing much," she yawned, "He asked me to sleep with him."

His heart sank to his feet. This was not nothing much. Her appearance soon meant much more and he stepped back. Her eyes widened for a moment, then she facepalmed epically.

"Not in that way. He confessed his love, cried a bit, and then asked me to please curl up like we used to."

"Oh, okay. Did you?"

"I couldn't sleep, but he could. I dropped him off at home before I came over."

A customer approached, so Stuart returned to his post at the register. Violet took this time to skim through the older comics. Her expression turned serious, a small crease forming between her eyebrows. The customer left and Stu joined her once again. She turned to him calmly.

"Hey, do you have any copies of Velvet Hammer: Revamped?"

"I don't think so. I thought you have all of them."

"I do, but only the newest ones. I'm having trouble finding that one anywhere."

"Well, there's a place I could take you to. But I hate it."

"Really? Where?"

"It's called Capitol Comics. They stole nearly all of my business and the owner is a stupid kid."

"I don't want to go to the place that stole all your customers, it feels like cheating."

Smiling, he ruffled her hair. Her nose wrinkled and she squirmed like a fussy child. Suddenly, her eyes snapped open with a fiery passion burning deep. It both shocked and moved him.

"I have an idea! Take me to this place of evil!"

Stuart laughed aloud at her proclamation, walking to turn the open sign around. She practically bounced with anticipation the entire way there. He decided to drive since he knew the way. The energy radiating from her was almost tangible. When they entered the shop, Jesse met them with a smile. Violet ignored him and skipped off for a moment. The two men glared at each other while she searched.

She returned minutes later with the comic book in hand and paid. Stu turned to leave, but was stopped in his tracks by Violet climbing on top of a table. Every person, which was quite a lot since it was new comic book day, looked at her. She cleared her throat before speaking.

"Attention Comic nerds and geeks! On Tuesday, Comic Central of Pasadena will be holding a signing from the cast of Velvet Hammer and a fashion show to show off the hottest cosplays and clothes for this year! Donations will be taken to help with the improvement of Comic Central."

The crowd rumbled a little bit and both shop owners gawked. Stuart had no idea what she was talking about. She winked at him secretively.

"Also, the first thirty people will get a free, autographed picture with Velvet herself!"

The rumble increased exponentially, some even clapping. Jesse's face reddened and he pointed to the door. Stu grabbed his girlfriend's hand, hurrying out the door. He raised an eyebrow when they got into the car.

"Yes?"

"So, I'm having a fashion show in four days?"

"Yes."

"And how am I to afford this?"

"I'm setting it all up. I have a few favors that are owed."

"Oh, I see. Thank you Violet."

"It's my pleasure; I know how much the store means to you."

He nodded, giving her a peck on the lips. She giggled and started the car. They drove to her house, simply wanting to sleep until the next afternoon. Sadly, Sheldon had not left yet. The physicist had nested on the couch with a various amount of comic books. He looked content.

"Um, Shelly?"

"Oh, hello Kolbe. Is there a problem?"

"Hi, yeah, I need to go to bed and you need to go home."

Stuart braced himself for a tantrum, but there was nothing. Sheldon calmly stood, nodded, and left. Violet yawned sweetly and stretched. Getting brave, he scooped her up in his arms. She squealed in surprise and gripped his shirt. He carried her to the bed, falling backwards onto it. They held each other for long time before pulling away. Bunny turned on her side to gaze at him.

"Who do you want from the cast of my show to be at the fashion show?"

"Can't we talk about this tomorrow? It's late and I'm tired."

"Okay, but I need to know by tomorrow afternoon so they can clear their schedules."

"Alright, goodnight Bunny."

"Goodnight Hero."

Smiling, he pulled her into his arms and sank into sleep. His dreams that night were not very pleasant though.

Stuart found himself in a dim room, sitting on the floor. The door opened and Violet stepped in. A grim look of disgust tainted her features.

"What have you done to yourself?"

"I'm sorry," he found himself saying.

"Liar. I can't deal with this anymore, I'm done."

"Violet, no."

He felt his body suddenly grow weak. One hand reached toward her, covered in blood. Stu looked at his arms to find that both wrists were slit and bloodied. A knife lay beside him. The door opened again and Sheldon appeared behind Violet. His hand clasped onto her shoulder gently. They both turned around, starting toward the door. Before he left, the physicist turned to look over his shoulder. A smile crossed his face.

"I won, Mr. Bloom. She's mine now."

Stu tried to protest but found that he was paralyzed. They left and pure darkness swallowed him.

He woke up in a cold sweat, breathing heavily and looking around. His eyes instantly sought out Violet, who was still curled up beside him. Stuart immediately relaxed and lay back down. She was not going anywhere. This thought helped him fall back into a swift, peaceful sleep.
