Naruko, Elemental Nation's Traveling Mage

A/N: Hello! Thank you for reading this story and give any suggestions on future events or characters that could be inducted into Fairy Tail. Also, I have started the poll for the next magic that Naruko will master. Now originally I was going to hold one between Wind, Fire, and Lightening God Slayer Magic, but after a lot of thought, and suggestions from reviews and readers, I have decided to hold one between Light, Wind, Fire God Slayer Magic.

Fire- 0

Light-2

Wind-1

At first, I was against the thought of having a Light God Slayer Magic on the poll, but it warmed up on me when I thought of all the opportunities for attacks it created when in cooperation with Shadow God Slayer Magic. Also, I felt that Lightening God Slayer Magic was to close for comfort when compared to Sasuke's Lightening Affinity. Once again, thank you for reading, and I hope you like it!

Silence ran threw the streets of Konoha. It was early morning, not many civilians had even awoken at this hour and even fewer were actually doing anything. However, through this silence burdened village there were specific people who were being more active than ever dreamed of.

Akane

Akane wiped sweat off of her eyes and blinked a few times to abate the salty sting that had come with it. She had been training since sunup and was already feeling the effects of such heavy training.

She got her Mom to get her a few more intense Training Scrolls that enforced a much harder regime than her older ones had. She usually didn't train so hard in the morning but the thought of her opponent in the next few months kept her going strong.

Either from excitement or fear, Akane couldn't keep her mind away from when she had gotten knowledge of her next opponent.

Flashback

It had been an hour after the last match of the day when the winners stepped forward to get their first opponent for the First Exam. Many of the group were slightly smiling with excitement while some of them were more muted in how they felt.

However, no matter how they expressed their feelings, all of them were feeling a twinge of accomplishment. They all stepped forward to get the names of their first opponent in the Final Exam. Akane looked around at the winners of the match and thought about how big of a competition she had going.

The whole team Fairy Tail had reached the Final Exam, something only mirrored by Akane's Team Seven. The whole team frightened her, and it wasn't just their skills, but their attitudes also.

The silver headed girl, at first, had seemed to be soft-hearted and much like Sakura, not something she had expected to be hanging around Naruko. However, that opinion had completely changed once Rose made battle with Shikamaru, utterly annihilating him.

From what Akane had observed, Rose was pretty alright unless it had to do with a guy, she seemed to have a pretty short-fuse for men.

Then it came to the doll-user, who had also given off a slightly of aura. He looked more threatening than Rose, but his clothes left much to be wished for when you had the knowledge of how dangerous Naruko was.

However, Akane slightly shivered in fear as she thought of how he won. From what she had heard during private training with her Mom, the sharingan can control someone on a basic level, some techniques being a bit more thorough.

Yet, the technique the boy had used basically threw Kiba's control over his body out the window. Yes, that technique was truly a gruesome one.

And the big thing that caught Akane's attention after getting bored over some of the matches earlier, was that they were YOUNGER than her! They didn't look incredibly younger than her, but information that they may have been two or three years younger really rocked Akane's boat.

The only reason she wasn't in absolute disbelief of the situation was that she knew how strong their apparent mentor was.

Naruko has taken root in Akane's mind ever since she had learned her name. To her, the fact that she had blonde hair and was called 'Naruko' gave her enough straws to grasp when it came to thinking about her lost sister.

They had never found her body and, even if she had never known her, Akane couldn't help, but wish that her sister was still present as Naruko. She wondered if she should, at some point, call her out on her identity, but her realistic thought of hew she would respond frightened her.

I mean, how would you feel if you were left all alone and mistreated by the Village you were not allowed to see as home.

She shook her head, swiping away the thoughts of her lost sister, and reset herself on the task of observing her opponents. The only people she had to worry about was Sasuke and Gaara. Gaara reeked of death, and stayed true to this nature by almost killing Rock Lee. His leg had almost been shattered to pieces if it wasn't for his sensei's interruption.

She didn't know who was more irate. Guy at Gaara for almost injuring Lee or Gaara at Guy for interrupting his attack. Sasuke she worried about was more about how much potential he had.

With those eyes he could learn Jutsu in an instant, something Akane sometimes envied. However, his ability to apply thus knowledge and unending warpath to strength for revenge sometimes put Akane on her toes.

She walked up to get her own number, randomly picking one and looked at it.

The white and plain parchment had clear and broad '3' on it. She looked over and saw that everyone had finally gotten their number, the proctor started to call out pairs of numbers and their opponent number. After the call out, Akane stood stiff in shock, barely noticing the sympathetic gazes of some of he people around her.

She briefly went through the list of fighters in her head, trying to twist her head around the thought of fighting her chosen adversary.

Sasuke Uchiha v. Subaku no Gaara, she let out a breath of relief of the thought of that one.

Neji Hyuga v. Bickslow Heartfilia, this match only briefly registered in her mind before she went down once more on her mental list.

Rose Nail v. Temari, this one interested her only enough to think at how the two obviously short-tempered at times Kunoichi would clash.

Kankuro v. Sakura Haruno, Akane almost pitied her teammate, before moving on to the pairing that had given her the most trouble mentally.

Naruko Heartfilia v. Akane Uzumaki, even in her mind the pairing sounded life-threatening for her. When she had earlier thought of Naruko, she had never registered her as a potential enemy. Now, Naruko's new status of an obstacle was slapping her face repeatedly while she stared in shocked horror.

Her horror quickly dwindled to raw determination, finding a small twinge of excitement in her that started to slowly grow.

She tossed a slight glance over at Fairy Tail, Naruko specifically, and was only emboldened once again by the excited smile on her slightly covered face.

Flashback End

Akane smiled, the memory giving her a new batch of strength and energy. She was about to start training again, when she was interrupted by feminine yell behind her.

Turning around, Akane quickly spotted Sakura rushing forwards with a slightly uncomfortable look on her face. She blinked a few times, not exactly able to believe that Sakura was up this early.

Sakura stopped a little ways before Akane and they stood in an awkward silence for a while before Sakura finally spoke up "Hey Akane."

"Hey Sakura, what are you doing here?"

Sakura hesitated for a second, looking abnormally shy, and finally seemed to build up the courage to speak once more, "Um, I was w-wondering, if you had any time to spare, you could m-maybe, help me out with my training?" She gained a slightly sheepish tint smile on her face and continued, "N-never mind, I was stupid to ask, you probably have better things to do then help me train." Turning around and about to run off, Sakura was stopped by Akane's grasp on her arm. She glanced back at Akane, pleasantly surprised at the sight of the excited smile on her face.

"Sure!"

Fairy Tail

Naruko looked out over the small clearing she had made with a few well placed Explosive Runes with a twinge of pride.

It wasn't anything to be really proud of, but Naruko always admired the small things in life-like a well made training ground, good batch of teasing jabs at the romance forming between her companions, and the sweet delectable taste of sour candy.

It was so adorable when they blushed and looked away from each other, Rose in particular. She shook her head to get them out of the clouds and turned back to her earlier thoughts.

Once the matches were over, Team Fairy Tail had the option of staying in the Village for the month, something Naruko had only considered a second before flat-out denying.

That was why she and her teammates had made camp ways away from Konoha. Rose and Bickslow were having a relaxation day today and were of somewhere in one of the smaller nearby villages, hopefully okay.

Naruko didn't worry very much for her teammates though. She had confidence in their skills and the training they had done ever since the end of the Preliminary Rounds only cemented her faith in their skill. They are strong for children their age and took training very seriously. They had both been working on different things for their next battle.

Bickslow with trying more complex moves that weren't easy without a more excessive amount of Dolls, and Rose seemed to multi-tasking with learning how to use her Sponge-Consistency and Electric-Consistency. Naruko, herself, had spent the past few days thinking over the things she had seen from her sister.

She had denied Bickslow and Rose's offer to tell her about the match and Akane's strength, and had only wished for how she acted while fighting. From what she had heard, Akane seemed to have more serious instances than Naruko, herself, had, but they were both very encouraging to the ones they identified as friendly.

Naruko was still hellbent on beating her sister and mother down for what they did to her, but she couldn't see herself being angry at her sister for long. They might never be close, certainly not a close as she and Bickslow were, but Naruko might not have as much animosity towards her sister in the future as she certainly did now.

Naruko blinked and suddenly began thinking about her own skills. She knew her sister was strong and she probably wasn't planning on stopping her training, so Naruko, herself, should probably start some of her own.

She thought about practicing her Godly Embodiment, but thought better of it. One of the tips included on learning the technique had hinted at starting on another type of God Slayer Magic and that the secondary magic would help her reign in her first type if she became proficient in it.

Naruko looked around at the clearing and spotted a group of stumps she had laid purposefully out to let her companions and herself relax after tough training. She trotted over to the surprisingly comfortable looking stumps and sat down, finding that their looks did not deceive.

After twisting around a bit, trying to get comfy, she finally used her thinking face which included cupping her chin, eyes closed, and making a low humming sound.

The clearing went silent except for the few sounds coming from the animals that scurried away and Naruko's low humming, before a shout of success rang through the pseudo-training spot.

Naruko had jumped from her seat in excitement, before realizing what she had done and looked around the vacant plot of land, feeling oddly embarrassed.

She shook off the feeling before activating her runes and searching for the set of books that she needed to learn her selected God Slayer Magic variation. Finally finding the novels, Naruko sat down once more and began reading avidly.

Bickslow and Rose

Blissfully ignorant of what Naruko was doing at the moment, Bickslow and Rose had another problem they had to deal with. The townspeople were staring at them.

They didn't know why and they didn't expect an answer if they asked, but they had a few theories. One theory was that they thought they were a cute couple, a theory, when voiced, had given both children a mighty blush.

However, another theory was that they were staring at them due to what they were wearing. Yet, before Bickslow could explain how what they were wearing was probably abnormal to the villagers, he had to hold a blood-thirsty Rose down to keep her from killing all the "Perverted-Dogs" in the crowd that dare look at her.

It might have been funny for him if he hadn't accidentally turned her ire for the men in the crowd on himself.

After a viscous chase around the relatively small village, Rose seemed to run out of anger and frustration and had suggested they go to one of the sweet shops they had in town. He almost moaned in annoyance at the request.

Much like Naruko, Rose had gotten quite fond of sweets, yet had went down the opposite path of Naruko and had gotten hooked on chocolate.

At one point in their journey to Konoha, Bickslow had mistakenly mentioned that she may get fat. That lead to another chase down by Rose that was accompanied by Naruko's loud and infectious laughter that had eventually gotten to the kids, making them fall down laughing too.

Yes, he would never make that mistake ever again.

The Third Hokage

Unnerving, yes the information Hiruzen had just gotten was completely unnerving. Over the years, he had pushed the death of Naruko Uzumaki to the back of his mind, yet it was back again of its own coalition.

The Hokage exhaled, he didn't think of himself an evil man or even a mean man, and he knew that Naruko's death was just a problem that had come up and wasn't planned for.

Now he head two big problems pushing their weight down on his head. First, there was a new rogue team called Fairy Tail that had never been heard of before now and used skills that almost every nation would kill for, not to mention that the description of the apparent leader fit the supposed dead Naruko.

While on the other hand, there was news of Orochimaru had infiltrated the Exam and had given an, as Anko had graciously put it, "Evil Hickey" on his neck.

Hiruzen raised his hands to aged forehead, trying to work out the kinks that were threatening to make his head explode. He really needed an Aspirin.

A/N: Hello! Now this chapter was more for the benefit to see the thoughts of others that hadn't been brought up as of yet, start off the training of the group, while also throwing a little Bickslow/Rose into the mix. So yeah, this could be considered a minor filler and I am sorry that it isn't as long as I usually have. Usually I try to go around 3000+ Words, but this time I just couldn't think of anything else to write. Next time, it will be longer though.

On another note, their have been some updates on Fairy Tail members while also some new additions.

Gamakichi- Now using Battle-Form Magic (The Magic Pantherlily uses)- The 15th Noah.

Aoki (OC)- using Second Generation Wind Dragon Slayer Magic (If anyone would like to suggest a way for Naruko to find one, that would be great. If not I will use the default, "It came with the books" thing). - Arnee Wenn

Characters being considered

The 15th Noah- Karen- Stone Eye Magic and Fairy Magic

Jugo- Soul Take-Over Magic- Beast Variation (This is one that I am not quite sure on, but am leaning on using).

Fate- Temari- Sky Magic (Not to sure about it, but sounds interesting)

I just want to thank everyone for giving their suggestions for the story and please ask any questions you want. Also, if there was someone you didn't see make it on either one of the lists, please not that I may still be mulling it over.
