-Sorry, I changed as fast as I could – The blond president looked nothing like himself and Castiel had awkward flashbacks of his childhood and a crazy pair of twins. Rosa admired the outfits she had tailored as she came in close to fix his hair. – I'm not sure you have time for this..

-Come on Nath, I just need a few minutes and a clip-on piercing…

-It's fake, come on really complete the look and stun our pocket-sized friend, will you? – A blushing and stammering Nathaniel was groomed, meanwhile the trio of friends were in the changing rooms making sure they would wear what Rosa had made, happily knowing they'd get to enjoy the concert for free after all that hard work.

-So, you really think goldy locks can pull it off? – Taini turned to Sky who just sighed and shrugged.

- Who knows? All I want is a decent crowd so Iris and the guys get to have fun. – Taini shared a look with Mary Jane and snorted.

- I think she's reserving her comments because he's the drummer – Their brunette friend faked a haughty laugh as she covered her mouth with the back of her hand, Taini burst out laughing and Sky blushed slightly as she denied it all with a passion and conviction that convinced no one.

Excitedly the trio who had the initial idea went to the basement to wait out the last 15 minutes with the impromptu band and find the best spot for the concert. As soon as they walked in Sky saw Kentin laughing away with the twins, as her eyebrows furrowed with unexpressed emotion Taini and Mary Jane shared another knowing look and without exchanging words they both pulled their friend towards the stage.

-Have you noticed that the lights are off? – Taini pointed at the lights Mr. Boris had helped Sky hang just the previous day.

- Not making any good first impressions like that – Mary Jane twisted the tone of her voice with a certain inflection that changed their short friend's expression from tiredness to simple focus.

-You're right! Damn I should have been in here before...- She hurried off to the stage and when she once again tried to climb it with the grace of a comedian Rosa's heart almost stopped and her pained cries included things like "what are you doing in those tiny shorts" and "act like the woman you were born to be and let a man offer his hand" and this perfect excuse was the reason that justified Nathaniel's actions as picking her up from the waist so she could get up on stage, her ears were a light shade of pink that only her knowing friends noticed and turned an obvious shade of red once she turned to thank him and got a good look at him. She stuttered for a bit before finding her confidence – You really look the part Nath – She finally managed out with a nervous smile as she hurriedly turned and quickly set herself to adjusting the lights.

-Told you so – Rosa's smug expression could be heard in every single word, she elegantly waltzed down the stage with that strange cheerful grace she possessed and headed over towards Sky and Mary Jane. -So, what's the deal with G.I Jerk over there with the twins? – She gave thumbs up when Sky's face turned in their direction and pointed at the lights asking for approval, the other two girls did the same knowing full well she would stay on stage with the drummer.

-You remember the odd little guy that always followed Sky around on when we were still fresh meat? – Taini asked as they turned to each other pretending not to notice when Nathaniel slowly approached Sky and they started talking, Rosa nodded and Taini turned to Mary Jane. – I'm still pissed about it you tell her.

-Well…he kind of…ditched her? – Taini clenched her teeth and mentally counted slowly backwards from ten. When Rosa gave Mary Jane a confused look the brunette fidgeted for a moment. – He ditched her…in life – Another confused look, Taini huffed. – Ugh he….he's Sky's friend since they were born…or at least he was…their moms were practically pregnant together and when he left- That's when Rosa spoke up.

-Oh right, he suddenly disappeared, where'd he go?

-Military school, his father is some kind of power figure there.

-Oh really? That explains why he's looks like he has a stick up his-

-Okay, okay! - Mary Jane lifted her hands up with a nervous look – Anyway, the point is he returned a few days ago and the first thing he does is tell her he wasn't going to hang with her anymore…

Rosa's surprised expression morphed to horror as she realized the weight of what had happened – he friend- broke up with her?! – Mary Jane and Taini shushed her as her tone raised but luckily for them a few more people had come in and the chatter had provided enough coverage for Rosa's outburst. – Normally I would just leave it be but you guys looked very bothered about it – Rosa placed her hands on her hips.

-We are, this is just…shocking to us because he had always been a part of Sky's intimate circle of people and…the closest to her out of anyone I've ever met, even me and Taini weren't as close to her as he was…and now he just abandoned her. – Taini sighed as some of her anger faded away.

-That tool must still be salty 'bout never getting to date her- Rosa leaned in as her friend mused their most convincing hypothesis and Mary Jane nodded. – He always liked her and she never noticed so he's probably trying to get his petty revenge like that. – She crossed her arms and sighed again, she turned to the stage and saw the lights shift for a moment, everyone was in their place and Lysander started speaking into the microphone.

They moved over to a place they had scanned out for being close enough to be spotted from the stage so Sky could make her way over when she finished her business with the lighting equipment and far enough to be able to appreciate the whole band, the curtain rustled and out came Sky, shoving the people who were starting to cram together to get closer to stage. -He must've never been that worthy of her trust then – Was the last thing their designer friend had mentioned before Sky's arrival and the other two girls couldn't help but feel the cryptic meaning and weight of those words.

This felt completely different from what he imagined it, and it was actually fun hearing the people singing along to Lysander's chorus for their cover of can't stop from the scarlet flaming jalapenos, and then stopping completely for Castiel's solo didn't feel as annoying as he thought it would. He seized those few seconds to turn and try to spot Sky's face and he almost lost his concentration when he witnessed Sky in her high shorts and worn out band crop top doing some form of fist pumping as she sat on Alexys shoulders, he quickly turned back and at that point he heard some sheering in the crowd. He felt entirely lost in Lysander's voice and he meant that in the most heterosexual way possible, not even having to do the falsetto chorus with Iris and Castiel got him out of the intoxication he felt and that's where he managed to find the courage to do a trick with his drumsticks, to which he received and amused "ohh" from the crowd.

While Nathaniel was busying himself with getting lost in the music Castiel made himself stand out as he usually did while he was playing guitar, while their amazing bore of a drummer had Lysander covered with backup vocals he wasn't sure if Iris would hold up with all that attention, when he turned his face slightly he saw her concentrated on her guitar and he was amused by how intense she managed to look. He moved a bit as the instruments paused and saw how Lysander held onto the vintage microphone they managed to get their hands on, just to complete the feel of do u remain by the glacier apes, he continued playing and he couldn't help but remember how long it had been since he had played for an audience and in turn he focused a bit more on the music and his end of the bargain in this small show but forcing him to remember the last vocalist he had played with, causing him to fall into a vicious cycle of remembering and forgetting with the side effect of having the audience at his grasp.

Even his breathing sounded different on that vintage mic, he made a mental note to thank Mary Jane once that small show was finished, the clapping ensued and he even heard whistling and it made him smile despite himself. He wiped the sweat from his forehead with a handkerchief he had in his pocket.

-Are you enjoying us yet? – He asked as he turned to the side discreetly looking for a familiar face in the crowd, he heard the excited crowd and nodded. Castiel began the song in the background and he inhaled into the mic. – We hope you love this as much as we love Mary Jane – And that was the most awkward moment for him to lock eyes on the girl he'd discreetly been looking for but he steeled himself as Nathaniel and Castiel sang the backup vocals. Never loosing eye contact with her he kept on singing.

He saw how her eyes widened and it almost messed up his singing since he still focused on her to keep singing. A familiar face in the crowd was what he needed to keep focused for a bit, it'd been a long time since he had last sang for a crowd and it was nerve wrecking but at the same time as natural as eating when you were hungry.

It hit her then what the song actually meant and she smiled wide and he felt his ego rise up just a tiny bit knowing that he was the only one to witness her inner joy and happiness, the song was nearing its end and he was a bit breathless as he fidgeted a bit with his scarf while he came in close to the microphone. The lights suddenly gained intensity and Lysanders voice gained a magical quality in that small space and seemed to seduce a good portion of the ever-present crowd, people seemed to move at the same time with slow and heartfelt movements, but as soon as it started it ended and the crowd went wild.

Mary Jane was coming down from the overdrive that the last song had provoked and their silver haired classmate announced that the next one was a cover of one of his favorite songs, the opening lines for sunborn almost gave her a heart attack and Taini clutched her wrist when Rosa excitedly squealed and shook Sky who was now standing on her own two feet and appeared to be almost as excited as Rosa.

-I can't believe Lys baby is singing my favorite Neonika song! – And to their surprise the rest of the crowd reached a new level of hype when that song began, Taini forced a smile and excitement like everyone else when she felt an inner turmoil and was stunned…couldn't help but think about the way Roxanne sang that one. The sentiment in her face and the inflection in her voice…there was no way to compare such different voices was what her instinct told her, and this was a very good cover but she just couldn't enjoy it knowing that she couldn't openly discuss it with the interpreter herself. After the Neonika cover they played an original song and started alternating between Neonika covers and original songs until they sang only original songs until the end of the concert.

Taini giggled in the background while the audience exited, Iris had been excited about how people kept asking for song names and official merchandising and some even asked for her autograph and she had happily given it out. As she turned to look at the improvised band mates se realized she wanted to capture those moments forever and inmediatey pulled out her phone to take some quick snaps, Rosa joined her with a soft smile for a few selfies with the makeshift stage in the background and Lysander was pulled in with Mary Jane for some other group pictures.

Taini kept chuckling while Castiel smoked - You're wearing a tank top!...a tank top! - She was wheezing.

-It's not a tank top! it has little sleeve thingies! - He gestured to the straps on his shoulders and she almost stopped breathing entirely.

- And your belly button ohmyicantdothis- She couldn't breathe and he wasn't sure if he liked the sound of her laugh or if he wanted to strangle her to death.

-THIS IS FASHION!- He gestured to himself and she had to hold on to someone's arm and thats when they saw the lights flash.

-This is a great picture you guys! - Rosa exclaimed while Taini frowned.

-Who gave you permission to- She quickly scanned the picture and burst out laughing again. - THEYCAPTUREDYOURESSENCE! - Pointing at the phone she fell to her knees and Castiel demanded for the picture to be deleted with Rosa fleeing trough the basement with Iris's phone in her hand. Lysander turned to look at Mary Jane and realized she was staring up at his hair.

-Is everything ok? - He covered his hair with his right hand.

- Yeah, the hair pins are kind of distracting...- Castiel hollering at Rosa and Taini's mockery was heard in the background.

- Didn't distract you from the concert though...did it? - He rubed a longer lock of hair between his index and his thumb.

- Oh no, you guys were really good...- He was sure he had an expectant look on his face and tried to turn away from her. - i...that song at the end...

- Oh yeah, Mary Jane! - Her eyes sparkled a bit and she blushed and he smiled warmly at her. - That's the name of the song, Mary Jane...i thought you would like it, we weren't very fateful to the original but i believe it's a good cover...- He turned and she was looking up at his eyes, he was about to say something but was interrupted by the sound of loud footseps and honest laughter, apprently Asky and Nathaniel were back from werever thay had run off to and he was saved of saying something...what was he going to say?

-Hey guys! i brought you some snacks, you deserve them! - Sky announced proudly while she tried to pull the bags out of their drummers hands and he just snorted and lightly pulled away. Rosa hurried and scavenged the bags and started handing the snacks to everyone and teens sat on the ground and enjoyed their last moment of school before summer break.
