Third POV
It was a rather quiet mood on Olympus. No one felt like doing much but resting. Especially since a certain young son of Poseidon had just returned to them. They all enjoyed the ephemeral peace, knowing that war would be among them soon. Why don't we go see what's going on with our young hero now?
Artemis' Home/Temple
Two figures sat on a couch, the smaller one laying on top of the other. Both were breathing heavily, a blush adorned on both of their faces. Ah, it was none other than Percy and Artemis! How cute.
Percy's shirt was torn a bit, stretched down to reveal more of his chest. Artemis was in a similar state, although she was more...intact. It seemed as if she really did wear the pants in the relationship. Or rather what should be a relationship. But of course both of them with their work and such had decided to hold off on the official boyfriend-girlfriend status. However, that did not give Percy the freedom to fool around with others.
For if he did, surely he would lose some of his...manly parts.
"Oh, Percy.", Artemis gasped as she laid down in comfort on top of Percy.
Percy gave her a grin, placing his arm around her and pulled her closer to him. They gave a content sigh and fell asleep.
-Next Morning-
Percy awoke to the delicious smell of food. Bacon and eggs...mmmmmm, Percy drooled as he sat up and threw on a different, less smelly shirt.
After taking a quick shower thanks to his inherited abilities, Percy made his way into the kitchen, where Artemis stood cooking. At first, Percy drooled at the smell of the food, but now he was drooling at the figure in front of him who barely wore anything more than her apron.
"Hey there, handsome.", Artemims purred, showing off her ass to Percy before snapping her fingers and wearing white jeans and a silver top. Percy groaned, but he proceeded to hug Artemis from behind. She looked up and gave him a peck on the cheek before he buried his face into her hair. Artemis smiled as Percy let go and turned around to get some juice.
Artemis looked at her griddle and realized that something was missing. She tapped her foot. "Percy, darling, why am I missing a strip of bacon?" Percy let out a muffled yelp. "Uh no reason", he replied, still a little muffled.
"You shouldn't speak with your mouth full. You're lucky I've taken a liking to you", she warned affectionately. Percy gave one of his charming grins and sat down. Today was going to be a good day.
Throne Room
Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades sat in their respective thrones. Naturally, with Percy's return, the three were discussing war tactics. All three feared for their futures, seeing as how they were the Big Three. They obviously would be targeted, whether it was a straight on assault or using one of their loved ones as a hostage.
"Obviously, the weakest link will be the campers. They are not trained well enough to fight hordes of monsters.", Poseidon pointed out. His brothers nodded their heads in agreement.
"Yes. We will need to prepare them, as well as ourselves. We cannot let our pride get into our heads this time. If even one of us is down, surely we will lose.", Hades pointed out. Zeus coughed a bit at this, his face a tiny bit red as he interpreted his oldest brother's comment to be directed at himself. However, he did agree. Now was not the time to be a completely prideful king.
"I guess we will need to use Artemis?", Zeus suggested.
"Yes, most likely. After all, she probably has the most experience with the campers anyways. And if she goes, we all know who is going to follow.", Hades replied. Both he and Zeus looked at Poseidon, who gave a bit of a blush.
Poseidon cleared his throat, "Erhem, yes yes of course my boy Percy will follow. But maybe its a good time for us to see what he's learned over the times that he's been gone. Also, I've made something for him."
That caught the attention of the other two. The other two brothers gave Poseidon an expectant look. Unsurprisingly, he grinned and pulled out a quill. Zeus looked a bit clueless, but of course Hades caught on quickly.
Poseidon wrote down Trident in Greek on his hand. A flash of light erupted from the god's hand and in it appeared a Trident that looked similar to Riptide. "I took Riptide and infused it with this new contraption of mine. When you write down a name or type of another weapon that has been linked to this quill, you can instantly summon it."
"Very nice.", the other two gods said, a bit envious that their brother was more skilled in weapons forging than they were.
"I'll go get Percy and Artemis and inform them of their new mission.", Poseidon proclaimed.
Back at Artemis' Place
Poseidon walked up to the temple door and knocked gently but firmly, allowing the inhabitants of the place to recognize his presence. He stepped back a bit and stood there waiting, arms crossed and quill in hand. He heard the quick and surprised shuffling of feet.
Minutes later two tired figures opened the door and welcomed him in.
"I see you have both been busy training.", Poseidon noted, completely oblivious to their red blushes and disarrayed hair.
"Uh, yeah. So what's up, dad?". Percy asked. He noticed that Poseidon was holding something and was curious to know what it was. Of course, he kept his manners in line since Artemis was sitting right next to him. She'd most likely hit him if he was too hyper.
Poseidon smiled at the his son and niece. "Well, first order of business. Artemis, you have been assigned to go train the campers in Half-Blood. Don't worry about the Roman Camp. Ares, or rather Mars, has already prepared to leave."
Artemis nodded, knowing that this was bound to happen anyway. She was going to transform that camp into something much different. Everyone will be a hero. The camp has been too lazy lately. Only those who remember the other wars have been keeping up. Even then, it was sad compared to the past of the camp.
Poseidon continued his talk, "2nd and last order of business: Percy I have a gift. Here is a quill. When you link a weapon to the quill, just write its name or type onto your hand or anywhere else and it will appear right there. I've linked Riptide and a copy of my trident already. "
Percy's eyes widened and he adorned a grin of glee. He jumped to his father and gave him a quick hug before grabbing the quill. Artemis sighed and punched him in the back of the head.
"Calm down, you big idiot!", Artemis yelled at the hyperactive warrior. She sighed and gave him a little rub on the head. "You can test it out later. Let's get ready to leave. The sooner the better."
Percy sighed, but tucked the quill into his pocket. "Thanks dad.", he said.
Poseidon nodded. "Alright now go prepare. And one more word, you two. Protection." The god flashed away, leaving a clueless Percy and a heavily blushing Artemis.
CAMP HALF-BLOOD(2 HOURS LATER)
It was a usual day at camp. The campers did some of their noon workout before they all went to chill and relax. Many campers were now taking a swim in the lake. Of course, now was the time that Artemis and her hunters arrived. They met with Chiron and then proceeded to get settled in their cabin, which of course was extremely neat. Naturally, they couldn't find Percy.
Said person was hiding in a tree, using a water invisibility cloak. Oh, he was going to a lot of fun.
Annabeth POV(She was just staying at camp until Artemis called for her)
It really was a lazy day. Right now we were all just playing around in the lake, waiting for dinner to be called. Not too much was happening, but I only had Percy on my mind. I knew in my heart that Percy belonged to Lady Artemis...but a girl can hope, right?
I laid down on the soft sand, letting the water lap at my feet while the other campers made a mess and got themselves wet. Sometimes I wished that all of this could just be reversed and everything would be me and Percy again. But that would be too easy and too selfish wouldn't it?
I rolled over onto my side and gazed as at nothing in general. Sigh. Why me?
"WHAT IS THAT?!", I heard a bunch of campers yell as commotion and chaos broke out.
I didn't time to answer my own question as I stood up and ran to the others.
Hey, finally, a chapter! Here ya go. It's kind of a filler chapter, but it bridges the gap between the camp and the gods. Anyways, review! I'm writing an I am Ash chapter next because I need to tend to that story too.
