Hey guys.
Ok before any of you began shooting flaming arrows at me, let me give a chance to explain myself. So why havent I been updating my most popular story? There's a list of reasons. First, during the off time I graduated high school, therefore losing a major reason to write my stories, because when I sat in class with nothing to do I would write. Second, I was dealing with the reality of unemployment. Thankfully I did get a job...before said job closed down a few months ago. So I am once again unemployed.
Lastly, and this might be a hard pill to swallow, but now and days isnt a good time to be a Sonic fan. I mean we have a show that most people either like or hate. Me I like it. The comics are doing well and there's even a movie in the works. The games...the games on the other had make me so disappointed to be a Sonic fan. Ten years ago it was acceptable to be a Sonic fan because the games were top notch, and were only starting to go into decline. Now it feels like Sonic Team doesnt care anymore.
So I had to abandon the sinking ship of Sonic Fandom, and find other things to get in to. I did find this little series call Five Nights At Freddys, you guys probably never heard of it...and one of my closest friends had actually managed to convert me into another fandom. Yep, I'll say it. I'm now a Brony.
That brings me to now. Recently I had the urge to write an MLP Story (Which is up by the way go check it out), Shameless plug out of the way, that got me into looking at my other stories. I noticed its been close to two years now since I last updated 06. I apologize if people thought this story is dead, because newsflash...its not!

"This is the distant future, far removed from our own timeline."
"The future? Then that means Eggman's machine can control time!" Tails said
"You guys ever get the feeling we've seen this before?" Sonic asked. "I mean, this is the text book definition of copy and pasting."
"The programmers were that lazy?" Rouge asked
"Eggman's got some nerve dropping us here." Sonic said as Knuckles kicked a rock.
"Now, how can we get back to our own time?" Knuckles asked.
"This is the exact cutscene from earlier! No difference what so ever!" Tails complained.
"No…it's from Shadow's point of view." Amy said sarcastically.
"Hardy har har."
"You need a space-time rift, but this requires a lot of energy." Shadow said. Sonic realized where the ebony hedgehog was going.
"I see. You mean using your Chaos Control will..."
"Yes, but that alone is insufficient."
"Okay Shadow. It looks like we need to work together. Agreed?" Shadow nodded, then took off.
"Hang on let me guess." Silver said. "The good guys are gonna win right?" The others chuckled at the joke. "I made you laugh! Yay!" Shadow's frown returned.
"Ok let's just get this over with." Shadow said as the next level began to load.
"Oh not Crisis City again!" Amy groaned.
"This wasnt fun the first time, it isnt fun now." Sonic said as the game Shadow spawned inside a G.U.N. Jeep.
"Yeah no." Shadow said, immediately getting out. "Not even gonna bother with that."
"I would've stayed in, even though the controls are probably horrible." Tails said as Shadow grind through rings.
"He cant grind on a battle buggy now can he?" Silver asked.
"You're in My Way!" Game Shadow said.
"They cant help it their stuck there." Rouge joked.
"Dont you love how the buildings are exploding, yet they all look alright?" Amy asked over the sound of Shadow's shoes skating along.
"Skate. Skate. Skate. Skate." Tails said, knowing full well this was getting repetitive.
"There's hardly anything happening!" Sonic said as Shadow went through a loop and into another load screen. Shadow then flew off a ramp, landing on a rail. Then for some reason he began jumping between them.
"What are you doing?" Amy asked.
"Wasting our time." Silver said.
"I have to, those damn bats are in the way!" Shadow said.
"Those are bats?" Sonic asked. Shadow landed, only to be met by more creatures.
"When its mouth open thats my chance." Game Shadow said. Shadow frowned, and attacked one creature normally.
"Why did it say that? I can attack them anytime I want."
"Maybe it does more damage?" Tails guessed as Shadow was launched through the air once more.
"Outta my way." Game Shadow said."
"His dialogue are three of the exact same things." Rouge said. "Get out of my way. You're in my way. Outta my way. Judging by that I think Shadow doesnt like you being in his way." Shadow began grinding and homing attacking through the air.
"It's not over. I cant let my guard down."
"Yeah we gotta finish your levels then get to mine." Silver said glumly. Shadow bounced of a spring, being launched into a building and zooming pass a trail of rings.
"Were you suppose to pick those up?" Amy asked.
"It wouldnt surprise me if those are impossible to get." Sonic said as Shadow began using his mid air kicks on more enemies. Then he attempted a homing attack, only to hit wall.
"You missed with the homing attack?" Rouge asked.
"I cant miss." Shadow said.
"Well you just did!"
"Its a homing attack! It cant miss!" Shadow said. "Also I have no control on whats happening." To prove his point he put the remote down as the game Shadow went through a loop, past exploding buildings, onto more speed boosters before being launched into the air.
"Its sad that the game can play itself." Tails said as Shadow began using a hang glider.
"Pointless hang glider section!"
"My question is where did he get the hang glider?!" Sonic said.
"Does he actually have to move here?" Rouge asked as Shadow glitched through a rock.
'No. Comment. Whats. So. Ever!" Tails said.
"Wow you think those two massive chucks of rock would try to collapse on him, but no I guess they're just there for decoration." Silver said as the next portion of the level loaded. Shadow attempted to use another homing attack only for it to go horribly awry.
"I'm now convinced the homing attack has become self aware." Amy said. "Its trying to go to the goal ring but he's too far away." Shadow destroyed several more enemies until he came across another buggy.
"Oh no." Silver groaned.
"It looks like that armed buggy still runs. Press the Y Button to get on." Game Shadow said.
"Do we want to?" Shadow said
"No!" Shadow ignored the buggy, and was barely able to make through a set of rainbow rings.
"Mercy rings! Lets you skip parts of the level." Tails said.
"We're Sorry Rings!"
"Please Forgive Us Rings!"
"Grrrr...can I get out?" Game Shadow said as he rode the rails towards the fire tornado. "How big is this fire?"
"How much longer is this level gonna last?" The real Shadow asked. After what felt like hours the grinding section ended as Shadow landed in front of more monsters.
"Whats the homing attack even aiming at?" Sonic asked.
"Nothing! Its just random now." Amy asked as Shadow bounced off another spring and into the goal ring.
"Finally this is over!" Shadow said, not caring about his rank. After another load screen the next cutscene began to play.
"Ah ha ha ha. My precious Chaos Emerald. You are all so beautiful. Your mysterious brilliance..." Rouge said.
"You acting a little weird." Amy said.
"I dont act that way around the Chaos Emeralds!" Rouge said. Shadow held his up, getting her full attention.
"Sure you dont Rouge." Sonic said.
Shadow stopped in his tracks. He and Rouge noticed a bulky robot frozen in its position.
"Omega! What's he doing here?" Rouge asked, worried.
"It seems he's in some kind of standby mode." Shadow said.
"No! Really?! Tell us more!" Sonic said, not liking the painfully obvious.
"What could have possibly happened to create this future?"
"Probably that Mephiles guy" Silver guessed.
Rouge heard her wrist communicator go off.
"Yes, this is Rouge. Understood. We'll be there in a minute." She turned to Shadow. "It looks like Sonic and his friends have found something, too. Let's go. It's not like we can do anything for him now."
"Yeah." Shadow said as the two hurried off.
"I wouldnt leave him there." Amy said.
"Not a whole lot we would be able to do." Rouge said as the next cutscene loaded.
Sonic and his friends found the two Team Dark members.
"You guys are so slow. Look." The albino bat held up the chaos emerald.
"A chaos emerald! You've already found one!"
"No duh!"
"Well now... I may not look it, but I'm a real treasure hunter. Unlike a certain echidna I know."
"What?' Knuckles asked, annoyed.
"Flirt with him later Rouge." Silver said, getting a smack on the head for his troubles.
"Have you guys discovered anything?" Shadow said.
"Um, yeah. I received a signal indicating there's a Chaos Emerald here, but..." Tails pointed to the fortress of fire behind them.
"We've seen this all before can we get a move on?" Tails asked.
'it wont let me skip." Shadow said.
"You mean we've got to go through there?" Rouge asked, skeptical.
"If you don't like it, you can stay here!" Knuckles asked.
"Seen this too!"
"You've got to be kidding!"
"Don't be late." Sonic said, pointing to Shadow. The ebony hedgehog looked at his rival.
"Same to you."
"Is it over yet?"
"No." Shadow said. "Not by a long shot."
