Sorry this took me so long to update, I had ran into a Writer's Road Block on how to add young Sarabi to this but after listening to some music videos (none of them being Lion King based) I got over the block. Hope you enjoy!
Chapter 14
Near the Watering Hole...
An aging Sarabi is seen resting on a sun-bathed rock when a soft thump is heard in front of her and she opens her eyes to see a young cub which looked strangely familiar.
"Excuse me ma'am, but do you know where I am?" said the cub calmly and looking Sarabi straight in the eyes.
"You are near the Watering Hole young one." replied Sarabi calmly and the cub looked around in shock.
"How did I get here?" muttered the cub under her breath and Sarabi spied some kind of purple-orange liquid on the cub's forepaws and she face-pawed.
"Please tell me that you didn't mess with Rafiki's stuff." said Sarabi in slight exasperation.
"I did." said the cub truthfully and Sarabi sighed.
"What's your name?" asked Sarabi already knowing the answer.
"Sarabi." replied the cub and Sarabi sighed again before she began to get up, bones creaking slightly.
"Come along." said Sarabi to the cub and the cub followed.
One Hour Later; Pride Rock...
"I'm getting too old for this..." muttered Sarabi as she slowly climbed the rock stairwell of Pride Rock, the cub beating her to the top only for said cub to get caught in a roller-brawl of four other cubs.
A yellow cub had pinned a dark brown cub and a dull yellow cub had pinned a grey-mangy looking cub.
"Pinned ya!" said the yellow cub to the brown one.
"No fair! You cheated!" said the brown one pushing his pinner off with his hind legs.
"You lose Nuka." said the other cub as the grey one tried in vain to push her off.
"DADDY! HELP!" cried the grey one.
A large brown-furred lion with a silky black mane and a scar across one of his eyes comes out of the nearby cave and eyes the grey cub before he starts laughing.
"DADDY, DON'T LAUGH, HELP!" cried the cub.
"Oh alright, but sooner or later you'll have to find your own ways to get free." said the lion calmly as he gently pushed the other cub off the grey one who stuck his tongue out at her. The lion then noticed Sarabi nearby and walked up to her.
"How are you doing?" he asked calmly.
"I'm okay Taka, just getting old is all." said Sarabi calmly.
"WHAT?!" said the new cub as she jumped up which had thrown the brown cub off herself and into the face of the cub who had previously pinned him and the two cubs jumped back and started sputtering and spitting.
"AH! Kovu kissed me!" said the lioness cub rubbing her tongue with her paws.
"BLAH! Kiara kissed me!" said Kovu spitting violently.
Taka took one look at the new cub's paws and sighed while rubbing his forehead.
"You messed with Rafiki's stuff didn't you?" said Taka.
"Yes. How would you know?" said the cub getting a little defensive but not cowering one bit even as the lion leaned in close.
"Because I messed with same stuff awhile back. Tell me, has anyone disappeared from what you know?"
"Only Taka."
"Well then, you should have no trouble figuring out who I am."
"Hmmm, brown fur...black tufts...yellow eyes with green inside...um...Taka?"
Taka nods.
*THUD!*
Taka looks at the cub to see she had fainted and Sarabi has a sweat-drop.
"Since when did you ever faint like that?" said Taka looking at Sarabi.
"Um...never." said Sarabi firmly.
"Hey! Has anyone seen Kopa? Me and him were supposed to go out to do some pouncing lessons and I can't find the little termite!" said an older Nuka walking onto the scene with a slightly agitated tone.
"I saw him heading for the border between the Pride Lands and the Out Lands, something for about a surprise for a friend." said the younger Nuka calmly with a knowing glint in his eyes and the older Nuka's eyes widen.
"No..." gasped (Older) Nuka, "Taka, get Simba!"
Taka bounded down the stairwell before yelling, "KOPA'S IN DANGER! GET SIMBA!"
Taka ran off to find Simba in a hurry.
Border between Out Lands and Pride Lands...
A young cub with a tuft of orange-brown fur atop his head is looking at a bunch of flowers, annoyance written on his face.
"What do I give Vitani? I like her, but I don't know what kind of flower she likes? She I just give her a fish? No, that would smell by the time I got back home...AH! What do I do?!" said Kopa to himself as he paced unaware of the red-eyed lioness watching him nearby from some nearby tall grass.
END CHAPTER
Please note that I'm not sure if I did it right but Kopa and Vitani are roughly the same age while Kovu and Kiara are also about the same age, while (young) Nuka is the oldest of his two siblings. Also, Kopa is one of my favorite characters, that's why I added him to this, besides, I like the Kopa x Vitani relationship.
