Chapter 14

Hatori P.O.V.

"Kyo's coming home today right?!" Yuki cried, nearly tackling me as I walked into Shigure's house. I chuckled a little at the boy. In only a month he seemed to have come right out of the problems of the last two months, and was a hell of a lot happier than he had been.

Sure, Kyo still being alive and returning was helping just a little bit, however, it made me feel a lot better to know he had recovered.

"Yes Yuki, he's coming home today," I said, smiling a little at the bright lights in his eyes. He grinned.

"Can I come with you?" he asked, reminding me of a young child.

"Unfortunately no," I said. He pouted a little.

"Why not?!" he asked, scowling at me. I almost had to laugh.

"Because, I'd like Kyo to be able to mentally prepare himself for you attacking him when he gets home," I said. Yuki laughed.

"Hatori! That's mean!" he chided. I chuckled a little as well.

"Be that as it may, I need to get going. I just wanted to stop and let you all know I was bringing him home." Yuki nodded.

"Don't you dare take too long," Yuki threatened, waving a little as I walked back out the door before turning around and dashing away. I smirked a little.

"I never noticed the effect the curse had on us… We all seem like completely different people," I mused to myself as I slipped into my car and pulled out of the driveway, heading towards the hospital.

When I got there, I pulled the car up in front of the giant building and headed in, heading to where I could check Kyo out. As soon as this was done I waited patiently in the lobby, watching people pass.

It wasn't long before a grumpy looking Kyo was wheeled out.

"Damn wheelchairs anyway," he grumbled. He looked up and scanned the crowd for me, and then, once he had found me, he seemed to look for Yuki.

"Where's-"He started to ask.

"I didn't think you wanted to get attacked right after being released," I said. He chuckled a little as it clicked.

"I guess in that case I should thank you. Can we go home now?" he asked impatiently.

I sighed but chuckled. "Yes. Let's go."

Yuki P.O.V.

Where the hell was Hatori?! It had been nearly an hour, and the hospital wasn't that far!

Okay, maybe I was just being impatient, but I hadn't been able to see Kyo much since… that night, and I wanted to see him so badly, my patience went right out the window.

Finally I heard the sound of tires on gravel, and I raced to the window. I watched, as Hatori got out of the driver's seat and after a second the passenger side door opened as well.

"KYO!" I cried, running from the house and tackling him. He had to use the car to keep from falling, and he laughed a little.

"Jesus Yuki," he said hugging me back.

"I'll leave you two be," Hatori said, smirking and heading in the house, and I stuck my tongue out at him.

I then looked back up at Kyo and smiled. It felt so nice to have him back in my arms again.

This time, I wasn't letting go for anything.
