FYI, this chapter will be in Karena's POV instead of Wilbur's due to chronological events. And this time, we get real action. Enjoy! *I do not own anything related to "Meet the Robinsons" or "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"*

KARENA'S POV

I've been staying with the Robinsons since my dormitory got destroyed a month ago. My boyfriend has gotten me comfortable like he did last time, only this time, I was staying in the guest room across from Billie's room.

Neither Wilbur or I had seen Lillianna Hamato since she ran out on us. I really started to wonder if she did try to return to New York, but Wilbur has told me that Lilli was still going to Todayland High School and avoiding him. The raven-haired teen tried to tell the redhead that things are beyond our control, but she just walked out on him. He says that he is responsible for what has happened in the past month, but I continue to comfort him, saying that it wasn't his fault. I felt as though Lilli needed space to think about what has happened. After a while, Lilli did start to sound like her mother.

I heard my phone ring after I got my green dress on, and I was not hesitant to answer it on a Saturday.

"Hello?"

"Karena?! It's Lilli! I need to tell you something! Meet me by the orphanage!"

The phone clicked, and I started to run over to the travel tube to go to Wilbur's room. I stopped just before reaching the travel tube, realizing that I do have a driver's license. I decided to head to the garage instead and drive the time machine over to the orphanage.

I had reached the orphanage after five minutes to see a crying Lillianna running towards me and hugging me.

"What's wrong?"

"Come here! It's the news!"

Lilli led me to her room where she turned on the television and changed the channel to a news report.

"This is Savannah Priest of The News of Today and-"

"What are you doing?" I asked Lilli.

"Fast forwarding to an important part," the redhead answered. "It's about your roommate."

"Lindsay? Has she been found?" I asked excitedly, but my smile faded as tears started to form in Lilli's eyes. She pressed play, and Savannah started talking again.

"Here we are at an abandoned laboratory, scheduled to be torn down by Robinson Industries on April 30th, where the skeleton of Todayland University student Lindsay Rose has been found in a tub of acid. An autopsy has not shown how Rose was brutally murdered, and there are no clues as to where her kidnappers are located. In further development-"

"I can't watch anymore," I said, tears forming in my eyes as I turned the television off. Lindsay Rose, my roommate, is dead after one month of being kidnapped. Lilli placed a hand on my shoulder, and I turned to hug her, tears falling on to her shoulder as her tears fell into mine.

We sat like this for an hour until my phone rang again. I let go of the hug and took out my phone to find out that Wilbur was calling me.

"Karena Edwards, where the heck are you?!" Oh my gosh, he's really angry. That doesn't happen everyday. "And where's the time machine?!"

"Oh, Wilbur, I'm so sorry...I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed as I continued to cry.

"Karr?" Wilbur's anger turned to worry. "Are you alright? What's wrong?"

"I'll...I'll be right there."

I parked the time machine in the garage and ran to the travel tube, still in tears, to Wilbur's room. I found my boyfriend playing chargeball when I walked in with a lot of sniffing. The teen stopped playing and turned around, taking off his chargeball glove and taking a seat.

"Karr, what's the matter? You don't look very well."

"Oh, Wilbur, I don't know if I can take it!" I exclaimed while almost fainting. I was lucky enough to be caught in Wilbur's arms.

"If you can take what? Please tell me!"

"Lindsay...Lindsay is...is...DEAD!" I buried my head in Wilbur's shoulder and sobbed very loudly while he tried to calm me down. "That image is so...so frightening...I...I don't know if...if...I can sleep tonight." We heard knocking on the door and Franny walked in.

"What's going on? Oh my goodness!" She ran over to us and placed a hand on my back. "What happened to her?"

"The police found her roommate," Wilbur answered his mother. "But it was bad news."

"All...all that was left of...of her...was...was...her skeleton," I sobbed.

"Oh my goodness," Franny breathed as she joined in on the group hug and yelled at the top of her lungs. "Neil, we need you in here, please."

"My, my. This factory's been closed for months." Cornelius, Lilli, and I were walking around the underground laboratory in the abandoned factory, trying to find clues of Lindsay's sudden death. Wilbur remained at home because he needed to 'think' about his actions toward Lilli, even though I thought he did nothing wrong. When I do find the clues to catch the men who murdered her, I would have to tell Randy about her demise. But how?

"Nothing. Absolutely nothing as to how Lindsay suddenly deceased," Cornelius finished as he walked to the pool of acid. "And this acid has been banned from the U.S. since 2013 when a brutal murder took place." I gasped at those words; they sounded so familiar.

"Wait, are you talking about the murder of Rachel Priest?"

"Why, yes! How did you know?" Cornelius asked, astonished.

"I looked it up online," I replied. However, before I moved to Todayland from modern-day Los Angeles, there was a facebook game called Criminal Case, and I was so addicted to the game. I had played Rachel's murder right after I had returned from the world of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and it was so sad to see only a skeleton without a head being taking to a lab for an autopsy. After I had moved to Todayland, all of the murder cases that the police of the city of Grimsborough could be found in libraries.

"Wait," Lilli interrupted as the rest of us turned to face her. "I can sense fear...tears...screams."

"What's going on, Lillianna?" I asked the psychic as she continued to concentrate.

IN MEDITATION-3rd person

APRIL 14, 2039

"The Edwards woman hasn't shown up with the three-fingered girl."

"Well, that's because the police sentries haven't been looking hard enough." Oroku Saki turned toward Lindsay Rose, who was strapped on to the experiment table, and he gave an evil smirk. "Well, Rose, it seems that our little game has come to an end. Hamato Lillianna has yet to show up, and I'm afraid that you will only go to your doom."

"Wilbur will stop you, Saki!" Lindsay screamed. "He will stop you when he knows you kidnapped a girl that is like a sister to him!"

"What does a fifteen-year-old boy have to do with anything?" the aged man asked her. "He's just a boy. When you are done, we will go to the orphanage, and take both Hamato and Edwards. They will have eternal peace the same way you will."

"But what have I done?" the college student cried. "My purpose is not complete here, and I don't know the girl!"

"That's where you're wrong," Oroku Karai replied. "By finishing you off, we will alert Leonardo's niece and her best friend here, where we can finish what we have started two years ago!" She turned to her surrogate father. "Let's finish her now; her screams are going to get us nowhere."

"I agree, my daughter."

"But what will you do with Wilbur if you are successful?" Lindsay asked with fear. "He was able to stop many villains in his life, and I'm sure he'll stop you."

"He is an honorable ninja, but he is just like those Turtles: a nuisance." With that said, Saki untied the girl and tossed her into the pool of acid. All the noise that remained were Lindsay's screams until they faded into a hiss.

END OF MEDITATION-KARENA'S POV

Lillianna screamed in horror as she clenched her head. Cornelius and I looked up at her as she tried to calm down. Lilli gazed back at us with sadness.

"Those people who killed Lindsay Rose in cold blood were my father's archenemies: Karai and the Shredder." I gasped in horror when I heard those names. The Shredder used to be Splinter's best friend until both of them fell in love with a woman: Tang Shen. Splinter went on to marry Shen and had a daughter: Miwa, now known as Karai. Shredder destroyed their home and took their daughter, killing Shen in the process. Splinter moved to America, where he bought the Turtles and raised them after their mutations. After fifteen years, Shredder flew to New York City to hunt down Splinter down once and for all. He was never successful as Splinter died naturally with honor. He still had a grudge on the Turtles, however. Karai tried to get on the Turtles' side, thanks to Leonardo, but she remained on Shredder's side, still convinced after all these years that Splinter had killed her mother instead of the other way around.

"They must've been hunting for you because you're Donatello's daughter!" I exclaimed. "He is still looking for revenge on your family, and he probably won't stop doing so until he finds you."

"I wonder if he wants me because of my powers," Lilli said, but I stopped her before she could continue.

"They said that they were going to burn you in that acid and-wait a minute!" I cautiously looked around the laboratory, hearing a breath. Before I turned around to return to Lilli and Cornelius, everything turned black.

"Karena? Karena?!"

I woke up to the panicked voice belonging to Cornelius Robinson. I immediately placed a hand on my forehead as my head was throbbing with pain.

"What happened?"

"Those people Lilli mentioned? They hit you hard on the head," Cornelius explained. "They took Lilli and escaped."

"They took her?" I asked in shock. "Why didn't they dump her in the acid like they intended to?"

"Maybe because we were here," the Father of the Future pondered.

"Wait...isn't there another abandoned factory in town?"

"Ohmygosh that's it!" Cornelius exclaimed just as we heard a motorcycle running toward the building above us. After about five minutes, I was about to hit the intruder in the head with the same saucepan that nailed me when I heard a yell from just a few inches in front of me.

"Wilbur?! Don't scare me like that again!" I paused to look at his outfit: he was wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans, the same old Converse shoes, his goggles were placed on his black cowlick, and he was holding a bike helmet in his left hand. "Wait, you did not just ride that motorcycle."

"Funny, Karr," my boyfriend replied sarcastically. "I came to apologize to Lilli, so I came here."

"Bad news, honey," I said solemnly, looking down. "The Shredder took her to the other abandoned factory." Wilbur shot up with his eyes wide open in shock.

"I know where that is, but what if it's too late?"

I grew a smirk as an idea started to form in my head. Wilbur shook his head with a raised eyebrow, which was hidden in the goggles.

"No! Oh, no, no! I am not going to that factory by myself!"

"You won't have to," I responded with a smile. "You have your chargeball glove with you, right?"

"Yeah, but-"

"Here's the deal," Cornelius began. "I copied down the license plate number from that old-fashioned car that Shredder and Karai took Lilli in. Since you're somehow experienced with that motorcycle, and we're going to have a little chat about that later, you are going to drive with Karena to find and follow that car."

"When you get close enough to the car," I continued. "You're going to jump onto the car and fry its circuits with your glove. I'll continue to drive the motorcycle since I have a few skills with it, and you arrest the two ninja with those plasma handcuffs before they burn Lilli alive like they did Lindsay."

"Lindsay was burned alive?!" Wilbur asked with shock.

"Let's move!"

I don't think I remember saying anything about Shredder or Karai dying in this story. If so, then let's just say that Don didn't want Lilli to know that they were still alive. I would also like to say that I do not own Criminal Case, as I made a reference to it, but I play it everyday. So I know the details of each case pretty well (I'm currently on case #22). Next part will be uploaded soon!
