Chapter 14
(Earth NERV)
"Absolutely not! You two will not be allowed to set foot in the Twilight Realm. " Maleficent said to her two daughters in front her.
"But mother, what if something has happened to prince Shinji? He could be hurt, or -" Elena said.
"Or someone's getting ahead of us for his affections." Cia muttered under her breath.
Maleficent raised an eyebrow at her eldest daughter, with obvious disapproval.
"I've warned you two time and again about that realm, it is a very dark and dangerous place, with creatures that will slaughter you without hesitation! And feast on your flesh."
"We can defend ourselves, mother! We're not helpless. We've been training very hard." Elena continued to argue.
"You're still nowhere near the strengths of Twilight Dwellers my child! You aren't yet ready!" her mother countered back.
Elena just huffed unable to find a counter to that.
"Mother, we're just concerned for our future husband's safety. You waited over a millennia for an Asarian male and now he's in hostile territory. Shouldn't I his betrothed go to him?" Cia asked.
"He's my betrothed too!" Elena exclaimed
"Enough!" ordered the horned woman, "The both of you can either remain here or return to Asario, or return home, the choice is yours! But under no circumstances will you travel to the Twilight realm! And that is final."
Maleficent radiated her power causing the entire underground complex to quake to further emphasize her point to her intimidated daughters.
"Yes, mother." they both said in unison.
"Good, but worry you both should not. I've already sent Daiva to the Twilight Realm." Maleficent informed, surprising both girls.
"Don't act surprised, Daiva has been my eyes and ears among the nine realms for many years. Remember she has the ability to travel between the realms without the aid of the bridge. And if need be, she will bring Prince Shinji back to us herself."
"We understand mother." Elena said, while Cia merely kept silent.
"Good, now cover yourselves. You only want to show yourselves to your future husband." said Maleficent.
With a twirl of her fingers, both white haired girls found themselves in royal modest black and white sun gowns, much to Cia's dismay and Elena's delight.
"Lady Maleficent!" called an Asarian guard.
Maleficent quickly departed from her daughters leaving them alone. They turned to each other and spoke.
"Daiva might not be able save the Prince if he's considerable danger." Elena said.
"Or if that Twilight dweller is getting fresh with him, regardless we at least need to see if he's alright and I think I know how." Cia said with a smirk, Elena knew that smirk all too well
"Oh no! You're up to something, aren't you sister?" Elena said knowing the answer.
Before her older sister could reply the sound of footsteps from behind cut her off. The Princess turned around and saw a girl with light blue hair, and a pale skin complexion, clad in her school uniform, looking at the pair with curiosity.
"A mortal with blue hair! How bizarre." commented Elena.
"Excuse me." said the girl, Rei Ayanami, "But do you two know Shinji as well?"
"Prince Shinji, mortal." Cia snipped "And yes we met him back on Asario and we accompanied him to here to Earth."
"Do you know where he is? He is safe?" asked Rei, with concern.
Both girls blinked at the question but answered. From what they had learned from Shinji, the mortals in this world treated the Prince poorly, but this one was concerned about him?
"He is in another realm, a dangerous one at that. I'm sorry, but we don't know if he is safe." Elena explained.
"I see," Rei replied.
"Why do you care anyway, mortal?" Cia asked folding her arms under her bust.
"From what he's told us, he was used and mistreated by everyone of you mortals. He risked his life for you foolish mortals and yet you still treated him poorly. And now that Prince Shinji was discovered to be of royal blood you wish to gain favor with him? Is that it… commoner?"
Rei had looked down in apparent shame and regret at that while Cia glared at her.
"No that is not it." said Rei quietly looking down.
"Then what is it then?"
"I-I-I…"
CRASH! CRASH!
The Princesses and Rei turned around and saw a red head bumping and knocking down trash cans. The thing about this particular girl is that she was trying to pry her mouth open, as it look like it was magically stitched shut, something Cia was familiar with. Both sisters looked at her with some pity. Elena ever the helpful one, walked up the red head.
"Hold on. Hold on!" she scolded raising a hand to the red head's mouth.
A faint glow emanated from the white haired girl's fingers and the stitches vanished on the girl's mouth.
"I -I-I can breathe?! I can speak again! FINALLY!" Asuka shouted her voice echoing throughout the halls.
"Elena, I think her mouth was stitched like that for a good reason." muttered Cia her eye twitching in annoyance. It didn't take long for the Princess' to learn why.
Asuka eyed the white haired, dark skinned girl that just helped her, and the other white haired girl next to the First Child.
"Are you two Asarians too? Like those bimbos that took over HQ?" asked Asuka, with a scowl.
The word 'bimbos' was lost on the sisters, but shook their heads no, indicating they weren't Asarians.
"We are the Princesses of the Moors. I am Elena and this is my sister, Cia." Elena introduced bowing respectfully.
"More royalty here! I don't believe it! Don't tell me you're here for that idiot too!" the red head exclaimed.
The two girls blinked in confusion of who she meant, until Rei spoke up
"She means Ikari- Shinji." Rei said correcting herself to the two girls "She often insults and belittles him, while their guardian does nothing about it."
"So, you're one of those who puts him down, and treats him like a lowly common servant?" asked Cia narrowing her eyes at the loudmouth girl.
"Because that's all he is! Someone beneath my feet. No way someone like Shinji is fit to be royalty."
"Should have left her mouth shut little sister. It's obvious mother sealed it for a reason." commented Cia.
"Indeed."
"Mother?! That horned witch is your mother?!"
Cia growled as her hands glowed with purple energy at the insult.
"You dare insult our mother?! I'll silence you forever!"
"Cia No!" exclaimed her sister, but it was too late.
Asuka's throat was suddenly feeling like it was caught in a vice grip then felt herself being levitated in the air
"Hrgk! "
"Hey!" yelled a voice.
Both girls turned to see a purple haired woman nearing them with her firearm drawn. She took aim at Cia in a threatening manner.
"Captain Katsuragi!" exclaimed Rei.
"Whoever or whatever you are, put Asuka down!" she ordered, "Or I'll shoot."
The white haired girl just held Asuka in place, while raising an eyebrow, not the least bit intimidated by the woman or her weapon.
"I'll say it again, put her down! "
"Cia…" said Elena in a worried tone not wanting to cause a confrontation.
Cia relented and sighed.
"Very well." she said in bored tone, dispelling her power and causing Asuka to drop on the floor unceremoniously as she was coughing and gasping for air.
"Happy?" Cia asked directing that question to Misato who still had her gun poised to shoot.
Cia merely turned around and walked away.
"Let's go Elena, we've wasted enough time here with these paltry women."
"Paltry?!" both Misato and Asuka shouted in indignation.
"We must get to Prince Shinji, and I think know how."
"Wait! You know Shinji? Where is he?!" demanded Misato.
The girl merely snorted in irritation at Misato. Ignoring her question, Cia turned to Rei. "You were acquainted with the Asarian Prince, yes?" the black clad girl asked and Rei nodded.
"Yes, because of what happened earlier I...wish to find him..I want to help him." the First Child said.
Both girls studied the First Child trying to find any trace of deception in her words. Elena studied her more closely since she could sense when someone was lying. And to her surprise, this 'Rei' girl was not lying.
"What do you think sister?" asked Cia
"I can sense the aura of deceit around others Cia." her sister replied "And this girl… doesn't carry it. I think we might be able to trust her."
"Very well, but let's continue this conversation in a more... private setting." said Cia, feeling more trustful of Rei now.
"Hold on!" Misato shouted having enough of being ignored
The captain marched right up to the two girls, not giving the slightest care as to who they or what they were.
"I've kept quiet all this time. I've sat back and watched as you invaders take over every square inch of our HQ. Despite letting some of us go, you Asarians have still been giving us those that remain the run around, and now I've had enough it! I want an explanation as to what you're planning NOW!" the purple haired captain shouted.
Cia and Elena both looked at the woman not at all intimidated, since their mother was far more intimidating then any mere mortal.
"Captain Katsuragi." Rei spoke up from behind the pair addressing her CO, "They are not Asarians, they are-"
Rei didn't get the chance to finish her sentence as Cia raised her hand to silence her. Cia merely snorted in amusement, clearly not intimidated in the least.
WHOOSH!
Misato was suddenly thrown back into the wall, courtesy of Cia extending her two fingers out.
"Agh!" grunted Misato.
"Misato!" cried Asuka.
"I may be a Princess, but I'm not helpless, as you can see." Cia explained to Rei, "But enough about that. Let's go."
Cia placed her hand on the blue haired girl's shoulder while Elena also latched on to her sister, with snap of purple light, the trio vanished from the hallway
"Huh? They're gone…" said Misato then realizing that Rei had also vanished. Another child under her watch has vanished this time, right in front of her.
"What is going on here?" demanded Taki entering the area.
(Twilight Realm )
The woman identified as Amora, stood over Shinji's unconsciousness form with a smile on her face. This wasn't in her plan, but she accepted it none the less.
"Isn't this entertaining? The twilight dwellers battling against an Asarian and a Gerudo, over the grandson of Elysium. Ha Ha! " laughed the woman, "I love it!"
Kitana, Ivy, Bayonetta, Black Cat and Mileena stopped fighting and turned their attention to Amora, who just smiled in amusement.
"Bayonetta, Kitana, it has been sometime since our last encounter." she said and then glancing down.
"And delivering the male Asarian to me personally. Oh, you shouldn't have." Amora said in a sweet mocking tone.
"Get away from him witch thief !" ordered Kitana, ready to attack.
Mileena stood next to Kitana, twirling her Sais with Bayonetta cocked her guns, while Black flexed her claws.
"So, we're not fighting each other? "asked Black Cat while everyone else looked at her oddly, "I'm fine with that, I'm just checking."
Amora just chuckled and toss off her cloak.
"Here, I thought I wouldn't have to fight for my prize." Amora said flexing her fingers and they glowed green energy
Kitana and Mileena leaped towards Amora, weapons out and ready to kill, only to crash into a wall of dirt from the ground up.
"Gargh!" they both grunted in pain.
Ivy rushed towards Amora, sword charged with fire, her entire upper body was suddenly coated in green aura and she was sent flying into a tree.
"Argh!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Bayonetta fired off some rounds, in which Amora deflected with a wave of her hand.
"Alright if that won't work, then try this! Ya!"
A large circle appeared in mid air above and a large ebony fist struck at a surprised Amora, who got knocked back several feet on the ground.
"Gargh, I see you haven't lost your touch, old friend." groaned Amora.
"I wish I could say the same about you." replied Bayonetta.
"Oh, but I haven't."
Two constructs of green energy hands formed from thin air and clapped on the woman.
"Argh!"
Black Cat was sneaking up on the blonde, and she was about to pounce until green chains sprouted from thin air and snagged her, and tossed her away.
"Nice try Gerudo. Your people were always so hot headed." commented Amora using her magic to levitate the boy.
Amora opened the portal back to her hiding place.
"It's been fun ladies, but I must be going now." Amora said moving Shinji's still unconscious body towards the portal first.
"No!" Kitana and Ivy Yelled in unison.
They both sprinted towards Amora as she finished moving Shinji inside the portal, and she stepped inside with victorious smirk on her face.
"All too easy."
The portal closed off right in front of the two women. A very angered Ivy swung her sword at Kitana who blocked with her steel fan.
"This is your fault Twilight Dweller!" growled Ivy, "I will have your head!"
Before the two women could clash again they were suddenly separated by a column of wind. They both looked to see a dark haired woman wearing a green swimsuit leotard, with tonfas at her side.
By her side is another a physically-fit and petite young woman, with long chestnut brown hair that was braided, a with a round face with amber eyes she was outfitted in a blue, side-tie dress with short puffy sleeves, white trim with a symbol stitched on the back, wand a light-colored phoenix pattern on the skirt, complete with white stockings, low heeled sandals, blue & white leg guards and arm-guards and short sword tied behind her waist.
"Orchid, Kasumi." Ivy said in surprise, "Why are you two here?"
"Lady Zelda sent us to aid you obviously." Kasumi replied.
"We just arrived on the scene when you had your little scuffle. We saw who took Prince Shinji." Orchid said.
"Oh that's all well and good, and you can also guess it their fault to begin with." Ivy said pointing to Kitana who looked angered.
"Our fault?! You attacked us first without giving us a chance to explain Asarian! We were trying to rescue him from that vile witch!" Kitana shouted back.
"Hmph! Typical Asarians strike first ask questions later." scoffed Mileena.
"Watch your tone Dweller! Or I'll-"
"Enough!" Bayonetta shouted above the three, "This bickering is pointless. We need to find Amora's hiding place, that's where we'll find your precious Prince."
"She's right for once. The question is how?" Black Cat asked.
" I know how." said Kasumi walking over to the spot where Amora and Shinji vanished
Kasumi drew her sword, and embedded it into the ground. From the ground green traces of energy suddenly latched itself onto the blade, the girl pulled it out. Then she pointed it outward in going in every direction. No one made another move or sound while the girl was doing it, this continued for a good two minutes until the blade's tip glowed a bright green pointing northwest.
"That's where we need to go." Kasumi stated.
"Are you certain?" Ivy asked
"Kasumi's tracking abilities have never steered us wrong before." Orchid assured.
"Then let's get a move on then." Kitana ushered.
Kasumi took point while the Asarians and the one Gerudo kept their distance from the Twilight Dwellers, each unaware that a small black bird was following them from the air. Not only a bird but another dark shadow as well.
(Undisclosed location)
Shinji groaned as he opened his eyes to another unfamiliar ceiling. He found he was lying on a large soft bed, with green velvet covers. He sat up found himself in single room with portraits and exotic golden trinkets lined up neatly on the wall.
"Where am I? The last I remember was that monster grabbing me and taking me into the air… then we were shot down then I blacked out when we hit the ground." muttered Shinji, touching the side of his head but felt no pain to his surprise.
Getting up he walked out of the room to find himself in a vast stone hallway.
"Hello!" he called quietly he began walking down the opposite end.
"This place… it feels like I've seen it before." he said while he kept walking.
A bad feeling crept up his spine with every step he took. He eventually made it to a light at the end of the hallway. On the other side was a vast hall, with large pillars on each side. Stepping inside, he saw an altar of with a statue of large woman with both hands extended and cobra on top of her head (Zelda: Goddess of the Sand).
Shinji cautiously walked up to the altar. His eyes widened at was beneath the statue, along with a vast assortment of items, the largest one being the Mirror of Twilight. Next to it was a long gray metal staff, with two prong sharp blades at the top.
Another item was a massive golden gauntlet with six colored stones, for a big left hand. Next to it didn't seem significant but it was Egyptian style box with an eye in the center and next to it was a large dark helmet and lastly was the white sword from his previous dream.
"I've seen these before." Shinji said walking up to the sword almost touching it.
His action halted when he heard voices coming from the opposite end. Shinji quickly ran back down the way he came and hid behind one the stone platforms that elevated one of the statues.
"I must ask you to hand the boy over to me, once the people find out that Midna has allowed an Asarian to set foot here they'll rebel against her and pressure her to step down."
"I just got him! Why would I give him up so soon?!" a familiar voice questioned.
Shinji peered in from the side and saw two women one clad in green with long blonde hair and another dressed in a long white kimono with long black hair.
'Didn't I see her back at the Twilight Palace?' he thought.
"Did you forget our arraignment? I help you steal the mirror from its sanctum, you help me become leader of the Twilight Realm." Yuki said causing, Amora to scoff.
"I haven't forgotten Yuki. Of course, I could have taken the mirror without your help, but my only fear was the late leader Rose."
Just then Doku burst into the room, cutting off anymore conversation between the two women, with an enraged snarl on her face she exclaimed.
"WHERE IS HE?! WHERE HE IS HE?! " she shouted.
Doku stomped forward searching for something or someone.
"I will have him! And I will rip his head from his body in front of Kitana for what he did!" Doku declared.
"Oh great." Shinji mumbled.
Before either women could responded to her declaration, a small dark bulbin came up to Amora and spoke to her in a squeaky grunt language she could understand.
"It seems we have an intruder, a creature of Inferno has somehow made its way here, and our guest is up and about." Amora said.
However when she said that she spared a side glance over by the statues. Shinji shifted slightly hoping he wouldn't be discovered, even though he still had no idea where he was.
"Doku find the intruder and dispatch him." ordered Amora "I will locate our guest."
"As you wish, Mistress." said Doku, walking off to do as ordered.
"I must return to the Twilight Palace before anyone gets suspicious of my long absence." said Yuki walking off.
"You do that."
After the woman know as Yuki departed Amora walked back to the altar and stared up at statue.
"They're gone you can come out now, Asarian boy." Amora said.
Shinji slowly stepped out from his hiding place. He looked at the woman with some apprehension while she just smiled.
"Welcome Prince of Asario, I am Amora, the Collector." she introduced bowing theatrically.
"W-where am I?" he asked.
"My humble abode, far from the Twilight Palace."
"You stole the mirror, from its resting place with that woman's help? " asked Shinji.
"Hmm. I prefer to call it liberation."
"It's their only bridge to-"
"Ha, Ha, Ha! Is that what Midna told you, my dear boy? You think that mirror was the only way in or out of this realm?" Amora laughed out loud.
Shinji nodded, to her bemusement.
"It was the only KNOWN way. There are secret passages throughout the Twilight Realm that randomly connects to almost all the realms, including your Earth and Asario."
'Is that how Kitana could have gotten to Earth?' thought the Prince.
Just then a green energy enveloped Shinji's body and lifted him towards Amora's position, getting a closer look at her collection.
"These, my Prince, are many of the treasures that I have gathered throughout the realms, each more rarer than the last."
Shinji kept quiet carefully eyeing the sword and staff.
"And now I have you, the first male Asarian in centuries. The rarest of them all." she said, putting a hand on his cheek causing to flinch at her touch.
A guttural beastly growl interrupted any further conversation between the two. A large humanoid lizard like creature appeared dragging an unconscious Doku by her neck. The creatures yellow eyes narrowed at the pair specifically at Shinji dropping the woman he stalked forward on the pair.
"I have come for the S-Son of As-sario." the lizard man growled "Hand him over."
"You've made a terrible mistake coming here creature, and trying to take my prize no less." spat Amora
"I must have him for my master, dead or alive, And you're in my way!"
With that the giant lizard charged at Amora with intense ferocity head butting her against one of the corner pillars, but she remained on her feet.
"Miserable beast! You dare attack me?!"
She raised her hands and fired green energy bolts at the lizard man hitting him back, but he barely flinched the lizard used his tail to strike her into another pillar. He didn't stop there. The lizard man bull rushed Amora into multiple walls going into other rooms, leaving Shinji alone with the items specifically the mirror and the sword.
"Think Shinji, how can I carry these items out? More importantly how can I get out of here before one of them declares a winner?" Shinji asked himself.
"You can't…" a voice snarled.
Shinji turned around to see Doku back to her feet glaring menacingly at him. Doku flexed her fingers and her nails enlarged turning to sharp claws. The boy backed up in fear unknowingly in front of the staff, as she stalked forward.
"It seems my Mistress is occupied for the moment… now nothing will stop me from tearing you apart limb by limb."
The Prince reached back grabbing the nearest object he could find, on instinct he grabbed the staff and pointed it straight at her. Doku's snarl was replaced by a confused looked, then one of amusement.
"The Storm Staff ? Heh… you're better off with a rusted sword then that old relic of Archadia." Doku said as she approached him menacingly, "Not that it'll do you any good since you'll be dead anyway."
The fear Shinji was feeling intensified with every step the green woman took, then as before the image of his grandmother appeared before him, the power of lightning suddenly surged from his hands towards the staff he was holding. The stream of lightning traveled all the way up to the two pronged blades, and shot forth a powerful blast of lightning at the woman sending her flying once again.
"Argh!" Doku grunted in pain.
"Whoa! No way!" gasped Shinji
"Rarggh! I'll tear out your heart for that!" yelled Doku leaping back up. Doku charged at swiping at him with her claw like nails, making him block on instinct with the staff. He continued to block out of blind self defense.
She struck high and low simultaneously causing Shinji to stumble back a bit to get some distance.
He grunted as he narrowly avoided swipe, but struck back briefly. Shinji thrusts the staff forward pushing Doku back, but then she scored a hard kick to his stomach knocking him down and a few feet back. Doku stalked over Shinji raised her claws to finish him off until…
BANG!
Doku was suddenly blasted away from him.
"Huh?" went Shinji looking up.
To his relief there stood Bayonetta, holding her smoking gun, flanked by Ivy, Mileena, Kitana, and three other sexy women he didn't recognize.
One with long silver hair and a skintight black bodysuit, another one with tan skin, short dark hair wearing a headband around her forehead wearing a green leotard (KI 2 attire), and a girl wearing side-tie dress she had chestnut brown long hair.
"My Prince…" Ivy said, kneeling over to him voice full of concern, "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine Ivy." replied Shinji getting up. Shinji looked her and at the three unfamiliar women and asked, "How did you find this place?"
"That woman's energy left a trail for us to follow and it led us, to this abandoned temple." explained the woman with dark hair.
"Ah, and who are you?" asked Shinji.
"Oh forgive me, I am Orchid, one of the elite Asarian trackers. And this is my partner Kasumi." she introduced while Kasumi bowed in respect.
"And you are?" asked the woman in black.
"I am Black Cat of the Gerudo. I am honored to meet you at last Prince Shinji." Black Cat answered.
"Okay now that we're through the introductions, we should go." Bayonetta said.
"Not without the mirror or the white sword." said Shinji walking over to the altar.
"By Alaria, it cannot be!" gasped Ivy looking at the sword.
"Can't be what?!- by the Gods!" Orchid gasped as well, beholding the sword in complete disbelief.
"What is it?" asked Kasumi, confused.
"The Sword of the Sages, one of the most powerful weapons in Asario, thought to have been lost for centuries." answered Ivy, "Its power is said to rival or surpass that of the three Asarian Items combined.
"Grandmother said to retrieve this." said Shinji walking up to the sword reaching for the hilt.
"My Prince, please be careful. Its immense power can overwhelm you." cautioned Orchid while Kitana looked worriedly.
Shinji carefully wrapped his hand around the hilt of the sword and lifted it up and found it was... light as a feather!
"I'm stronger than I thought." said Shinji, lightly swinging the blade.
Almost forgetting he had the staff too, he shook it a bit then it suddenly retracted to a smaller size, then slid it within the belt of his tunic.
"Now the mirror." said Shinji.
"Leave that to me, your Highness." said Bayonetta as large circle appeared in thin air.
A hand reached out and took the mirror and pulled it back inside.
"What just happened?" asked Shinji flabbergasted.
"That would be Bayonetta's pet demon giving us a hand." Mileena said.
"She'll hold onto the mirror until we return to the palace." finished the witch.
"You won't be going anywhere with my treasures." Amora declared returning to the chamber having defeated the lizard creature.
"Sorry for the wait. Inferno's pet had me occupied. Now you have something's of mine that belong to me! The boy included."
The blonde woman summoned a large group of Bulbins to her call, all appearing at her side. However before they could attack, Kasumi was making some hand signs, then slammed her palm to the ground, a circle appeared everyone, it glowed brightly blinded all in the room, then in a flash, The Asarians and the Twilight Dwellers had all vanished. The light died down, leaving Amora and her horde alone.
"Grrr." she growled in anger.
Then the lizard man re-emerged snarling at Amora, who turned her attention towards the creature. Amora summoned up a chains from the ground trapping him.
"I lost three important treasures because of you monster! And you will answer for it!"
More green chains wrapped around his body cocooning him only leaving his head exposed. Amora's eyes glowed green raising her hand to his head.
"Now you are mine."
The lizard man cried out in pain as green flame insignia burned into his forehead
(With Cia Elena and Rei)
Outside the base stood Rei Ayanami and the Princesses of the Moors in a forest not too far from the entrance of Nerv HQ. Rei expressed her desire to find Shinji, to be whatever he wanted her to be to. Of course they sensed it was some deeper meaning behind her words, but agreed to bring her with them.
Cia, on her part, held her hand out with her eyes closed as if searching for something that could not be seen by anyone else.
"Where is it?" she whispered.
"What is your sister searching for?" asked Rei, getting a shake of head from Elena.
"I'm not sure." Elena replied.
"I'm sure it's here somewhere...ah!"
Her hand glowed purple and a large green pipe suddenly sprung up from the ground (Okay you all know what the green pipe of Super Mario sounds like, its legend)
"Sister! You don't mean to-" Elena started to say.
"Remember what Mother said? We could remain here or return home, or Asario. She never said anything about the Mushroom World." her sister explained "It's there were we'll find a portal to the Twilight Realm."
"The Mushroom World?" asked the First Child.
"Another world similar to this world and Asario. It is another kingdom." the white haired girl answered.
"Sister, are you sure this is wise?"
"Of course, besides we'll be there and gone by the time they realized we accessed their warp pipes. On top of that, two of Peach's lap dogs are here. Their prissy pampered monarch won't even know we passed by."
Elena placed a hand on her hip looking unconvinced.
"Are you sure you're not trying to avoid her after what happened at her ball? You blew up a section of her castle."
"That was not my fault! How was I supposed to know that Bob-omb wasn't an actual toy! It looked like one!" Cia whined.
Her sister sighed. Thanks to that incident, Moors and the Mushroom World have had some rockiness. Nothing too serious, they just think Cia's a klutz for mishandling the Bob-omb.
"Are you two coming or not?" Cia asked, nearing the pipe.
"Is it safe?" asked Rei, hesitantly.
"Completely safe. Think of it like a high speed bullet train on this world."
Cia jumped right on in, but Elena follows her, she took Rei by the hand.
"Hold onto me and you'll be fine." she assured.
Rei nodded wordlessly.
Elena put one leg over the pipe then the other and Rei followed suit, both slipping in the pipe. The pipe itself disappeared again into the ground.
(NERV HQ)
"Mercury, what's wrong?" asked Uzume, seeing her friend look at another direction as if sensing something she could not. Then a blue visor appeared over Mercury's eyes, and some small blinking lights appeared in front her eyes.
"I'm not sure Uzume, but I think someone may have accessed our warp pipes." answered Mercury.
"How? Only we and the others can access them." said Uzume "This is a problem. We may need to return home sooner than expected."
"We aren't going to wait to meet the Prince like we planned?"
"I've heard several Asarians talking and they say their Prince is in the Twilight Realm, so we're going to go to him instead like we should have and bring him to Peach." said Uzume
"What would Queen Palutena say-"
"She is our friend and trusted ally, not our monarch. we don't obey her. Besides, she's too busy helping the mortals deal with their mess now. Neither her or that horned old hag will even notice we're gone."
"Alright then let's head home."
"Wait!" a voice said "I wish to come too."
Both turned and gasped in surprise to see a very familiar face.
"Hello, Mercury and Uzume." Momiji greeted "It's been awhile."
(Back in the Twilight Realm)
After the glow of light transported them to the forest where they began. The eight made their way back to the Twilight Palace, with Bayonetta's demon's hand holding the now found Mirror of Twilight. Once there Shinji gave his explanation to Midna on the events that occurred, as well as explaining seeing a woman with long dark hair wearing a white kimono working with Amora in stealing the Mirror of Twilight before her reign.
Midna and the others recognized the woman as Yuki conspiring against her. It was a real shock to her and all in the palace since Yuki was a trusted friend in their court. Midna wasted no time in ordering Yuki's arrest. Now Shinji stood before Midna and the nobles of the Twilight with the white sword wrapped in cloth, the staff at his side, and the mirror Mileena and Bayonetta were holding. And thus, the group of Twilight and Asarians assembled.
"Thank you Shinji Ikari, Prince of Asario. We are in your debt. You've brought back what was missing and helped exposed a criminal in our ranks." praised Midna.
"T-Thank you lady Midna. I can only hope now that tensions between my people and yours can truly be eased and eventually the realms find a new balance with each other." said Shinji. Kitana stepped forward to everyone's surprise before anyone could say anything.
"Lady Midna, I'd like to make a request." said Kitana, surprising her leader and her friends.
"And what would that be Kitana?" asked Midna with curiosity in her voice
"Prince Shinji saved my life. As per our old customs by our Gods, I wish to pledge my life to him." explained Kitana shocking all in the room.
"Is this true?" asked Midna of Shinji, who looked just as shocked, but nodded.
"Kitana, you're not serious, are you?" asked Mileena.
"I am." she answered.
"But what about Jade, myself, Mileena, Sheeva and Setsuka? You're one of our best champions. Are you sure this is what you want?" asked Bayonetta.
"Yes, I wish to stay with him." Kitana answered with conviction in her tone.
The Twilit woman leaned back on her chair and said staring directly at Shinji.
"If that is his choice."
Everyone looked at Shinji as if he were under a microscope. He took a quick glance at Kitana whose eyes had basically pleaded to let her stay with him. He looked down in thought for a moment, finally after a few moments responded.
"Yes." Shinji answered, feeling he couldn't turn her away causing Kitana to smile under mask.
Ivy and Black Cat looked irked at this.
'This makes my job all the more difficult.' thought Cat
"Thank you, Prince Shinji. I'll be what you need to me to be. Your servant. your muse, your companion, your assassin, your protector, your confidant, your lover, whatever you desire." declared Kitana getting on one knee before him.
'She thinks she can serve him better than ME! We'll see about that.' thought Ivy
Before anything could be said the doors suddenly burst open.
BOOM!
Through the smoke stood Yuki, Amora, and a possessed lizard man and a group of Bulbins all exploded into the throne room.
"Did you really think you could escape me that easily?! "an angered Amora asked, "I will reclaim what is mine!"
"Midna!" yelled Yuki, "You have always been weak! You, like Rose, are not fit to be leader!"
"And you think you are, traitor?!" Midna demanded, getting off her throne. She floated down to face off against Yuki.
A dark aura surrounded Midna as prepared herself for battle. Kitana, Bayonetta, Mileena, lined up next to her. The Asarians, with Black Cat formed a protective line in front their Prince.
"My Prince." Ivy called, getting in front Shinji in a protective manner along with Orchid and Kasumi, "Stay behind us."
"Alright." he said, holding the sword tightly, unaware that a small dark shadow was moving behind him.
"Go my creature." Amora ordered, her new possessed monster "Exterminate them."
"Rarggh!" the lizard man responded charging forth
Bayonetta, Mileena and Orchid teamed up to take him on.
Midna and Yuki wasted no more time as they engaged in battle. Yuki summoning up a sword, while Midna created an energy blade forming from her hand, they began to clash (Think Zamasu's blade).
The Asarians and the Twilight Champions engaged Amora's minions. Unbeknownst to Shinji, a dark rope was slowly wrapping around his ankle. With a yelp the Prince suddenly pulled down and felt himself being dragged quickly towards a portal.
"Prince Shinji!" Kitana exclaimed seeing his plight and rushed over to him.
Shinji cried out as he was getting closer and closer, until his lower half submerged into the portal. He desperately reached out as his whole body sank in, leaving only his right arm sticking out until it slowly sank into the portal. Kitana didn't hesitate to dive in after him.
"No, I will not lose him again!" Ivy growled as she too sprinted to the portal and jumped in.
"You're not going without me!" Black Cat stated! Jumping in too.
Before anyone else could go in the portal completely closed.
Amora growled in fury in losing her prize for the second time.

End Notes: This chapter 14 and it was probably my hardest chapter yet. I know you're all probably waiting for Gendo to be executed already, and I apologize for pushing it back. Right now Shinji's harem is set to converge at last, Cia Elena, Rei Ivy, Kitana Momiji and Black Cat will meet. And yes I have given Shinji the Storm Staff from Final Fantasy, I kept thinking I should give him the Dark Saber from Clone Wars, but my beta insisted on the Staff, I might give him the Dark saber in another story. I again apologize for pushing Gendo's execution back so I'm going to set up a poll so you guys tell me what you want to see in in the next chapter, (FYI Shinji might be going on another quest before he returns to earth as for where he's going here's a hint: Let's a go!).
