Chapter 14: Happy Anniversary
"You're in a good mood," Arata states as he shoves a piece of bacon into his mouth.
Arata had noticed that since his mother woke him up, she had been in a happy and peaceful mood.
"I'm just happy," Kagome tells him as she pours herself a glass of orange juice.
After Jakotsu told her about the good news, Kagome told him to come over after she was done with work today.
"Was it because you went out on a date with Hiten?" Kagome freezes at Arata's remark and glances at her son.
"That wasn't a date," she says matter-of-factly.
"Right. You did come home pretty late last night," Arata says with a smirk. "What will Inuyasha think? I thought you two had a thing."
Kagome rolls her eyes as she glances at the clock. "Inuyasha's married, Arata. Now go get your stuff. We're going to be leaving soon."
Arata nods as he grabs another piece of bacon, before walking out the kitchen.

"Hello?" Kagome answers after she grabs her phone off the counter.
"Kagome, I need your help."

Thirty minutes later
With Inuyasha
Knock! Knock!
"Yes?" Inuyasha answers as he places the folder down on his desk. He had been in his office since six o'clock that morning.
He didn't really feel like dealing with Kikyo.
'Kami! I think I'm starting to get a migraine.' Inuyasha thought to himself rubbing his temples to bring temporary relief.
"Hey boss man," Yura greets him as she walks into his office with a cup of coffee in her hand. "I thought you might need this."
"Thanks," Inuyasha says as he grabs the coffee cup out of her hand.
He takes a long sip of his coffee, before he notice Yura standing in front of him,"Yes?"
"I have some information that you might want to know," Yura sings.
"What is it?" Inuyasha mumbles as he takes another sip of his coffee.
"A little birdy told me that Hiten and Kagome left together last night."
Inuyasha pauses for a minute and stares at her.
"What?"
"Yeah. And another birdy told me that they went on a date."
"When?"
"Last night," Yura says with a smile. "Just thought you wanted to know."
Inuyasha watches Yura walk out and closes his door. He lets out a growl as he guzzled the rest of his coffee. He glanced at the clock sitting on his desk, before standing up and walking out his office.
"Took you long enough," Yura says from her spot on the wall next to Inuyasha's door.
"Shut up," Inuyasha mumbles as he walks towards Kagome's office.
He knocks on her door and waits for a response. "I hope she's still not upset with me."
"Come in!" Kagome calls from the other side of the office door.
Inuyasha opens the door and sees Kagome sitting on her couch, talking to Hiten.
"What?" Kagome asks as she glances at Inuyasha.
"How are you feeling?" Inuyasha asks.
"Fine," Kagome tells him, before turning to face Hiten. "We can talk later. Lunch, on me this time."
Hiten nods and smiles while getting up.
"Takahashi," Hiten says passing by Inuyasha to get to the hall.
"Thunder," Inuyasha says crossing his arms.
Kagome watches Hiten walk out the room and close the door, before getting up and walking to her seat.
"What was that about?" Inuyasha asks as Kagome takes a seat.
"That's between Hiten and I. Is there a reason that you're here?" Kagome asks with a raised eyebrow.
"I just wanted to see how you were doing."
"Fine like I says already," Kagome says typing on her keyboard.
Inuyasha sighs as he runs a hand through his hair. "Look...about yesterday...I'm sorry. I really fucked up."
"You think," Kagome mumbles as Inuyasha walks around the desk.
"I should have stood up for you," Inuyasha tells her.
Kagome nods as she looks at him, "I should have stayed calmed...for our children's sake."
Inuyasha lets out a small 'keh' as he stares at Kagome. His eyes traveled to her stomach, where they soften.
"Can I?" Inuyasha asks with an outreached hand.
"Sure," Kagome says with a smile.
She unbutton her blazer and lift up her shirt while Inuyasha bends down on one knee.
"You've gotten bigger," Inuyasha whispers as he places a hand on her stomach.
"Triplets can do that to you. They do grow everyday," Kagome tells him. "I was reading something earlier and it says that they're the size of a kumquats. They're kinda like oranges but more ovaler and narrower."
Inuyasha nods as Kagome runs a hand through her hair.
"I never thought that I would be a father," Inuyasha says.
Kagome's eyes soften at his statement.
"I mean who would want to sleep around with a half-breed?"
"Hey, don't call yourself that," Kagome says. "Anyone would be lucky to have your kids, especially if they have your doggy ears."
Inuyasha chuckles as he looks up at her. "Thanks."
"You're welcome."
Inuyasha's eyes shift down to Kagome's stomach again.
"You can talk to them if you want. I'm not sure if they can hear you. I know I read somewhere that it takes around 18-20 weeks, but it's worth a shot," Kagome says, giving him a reassuring smile.
Inuyasha smirks as he places his mouth close to her stomach.
"Hi babies."
Kagome places a hand on the back of his head, as he begins to talk.
"I hope you're not hurting your mom."
"They're not. But they are sitting on my bladder and making my breast sore. Your kids Takahashi!"
Inuyasha chuckled before kissing her stomach.
"My babies."
Kagome grins as she looks down at him.
'He's going to be a great father. I can already see it.'

Later that afternoon
Kagome smiles as she circled another crib in the nursery magazine. Since Kagome had became pregnant and work, Inuyasha would make her leave work at two so she could relax the rest of the day and be at home when Arata got out of school.
Right now, it was three o' five. Arata would be home any minute.
Ding Dong!
Kagome sighs as she sets the magazine down and gets up to answer the door.
"Kaggy!"
"Jaky!" Kagome squeals as he wraps his arms around her waist and hugs her. Kagome eagerly hugs him back.
A minute later, Kagome pulls away and looks at Bankotsu who's standing next to him.
"Hey. Where's your daughter?" She asks as she hugs him too.
"With Suikotsu. Looks like someone has a small beer belly," Bankotsu teases.
"Shut up," Kagome says while standing back to allow them to enter her home.
"Do you really have her confession?" Kagome asks as she closes and locks the door.
"Right here sweetheart," Jakotsu states as he shows her a cd.
"Yes! I can't wait to watch this video!" Kagome squeals. "What do I owe you and Suikotsu?"
"And me!" Bankotsu pipes in as they walk towards the living room. Kagome rolls her eyes in response.
"Well once you have your puppies, you and us, margaritas!" Jakotsu shouts in glee.
"Deal," Kagome says as they walk into the livingroom.
"Put the cd in!"
"Calm down," Bankotsu tells her.
"I knew that bitch was lying. I knew it," Kagome says. "No one women loses a baby then doesn't want to get checked out by a doctor. Uhh! Why doesn't anyone believe me?" Kagome asks as she shakes her wrist to the ceiling. "I already told Sango. She was happy and believed me."
"Well, I believed you too," Jakotsu states. "That girl always acted to perfect. Are you still having sex with my Inuyasha-poo?"
Bankotsu glances at Kagome who glares at Jakotsu.
"Really?" Bankotsu asks giving Kagome a look of disbelief.
"It was a moment of weakness! And the answer is no. We shouldn't have even been having sex in the first place. He's married,"Kagome says in her defense.
"That doesn't stop a woman from being horny," Jakotsu sings.
Kagome rolls her eyes as she walks towards the couch.
"Just put the cd in," Kagome says as she sits down on the couch. "Uhh!"
"What?" Bankotsu asks as he walks towards the dvd player to put the cd in.
"One of the kids is sitting on my bladder," Kagome says before getting up.
Bankotsu and Jakotsu shake their heads as Kagome walks out the room.
"I'm going to get some wine," Jakotsu states as he walks out the room. "You want some?"
"Sure."
"Don't you have a date with some girl tonight?! What was her name, Yuka, Yumi?!" Jakotsu yells from the kitchen.
"It's Yura!" Bankotsu shouts back.
"What?!" Kagome screams.
Bankotsu chuckles as he opens the dvd player.
Slam!
"Mom! I'm home. There's someone I want you to meet," Arata shouts as he walks into the house.
Bankotsu puts the disc in the player, after standing up.
Arata and a silver haired girl walk into the room.
"Hey Uncle Bank, is mom home?" Arata asks with a small blush.
"Yeah. She's in the bathroom. Who's this?" Bankotsu asks with a cross of the arms.
"Um, my friend Shiori," Arata says.
"Popping bottles!" Jakotsu sings while walking into the living room from the other entrance. "Oh hi Arata poo! Who's this?" He pauses as he saw the teens in the doorway.
"His 'friend', Shiori," Bankotsu says with a smirk and puts quotation marks around the word friend.
"Oh! Really?" Jakotsu says and winks at Bankotsu and they chuckle at the retreating couple.
"Well Kagome's going to love this," Bankotsu states as he hears Kagome's feet walking towards them.

An hour later
With Inuyasha
"I was thinking of getting a five tier cake, that seems good, right?" Kikyo asks as she looks up at her husband.
The couple are lounging on the couch waiting for the pizza they ordered to be delivered.
"Sure," Inuyasha says absentmindedly watching tv, before taking a sip of his beer.
"You shouldn't be drinking this early," Kikyo comments as she writes something down in her notebook planning their ninth anniversary.
Inuyasha shrugs in response.
"How many people do you think will show up? We could probably have it in the ballroom," Kikyo states as she places her head on his shoulder.
"Yup," Inuyasha agrees before taking another swig of his beer.
"Inuyasha, please contain your excitement it's too much," Kikyo says rolling her eyes.
"I don't see why we have to have a big party," Inuyasha declares before kissing Kikyo's forehead.
"To show everyone that we love each other," Kikyo tells him as she looks up at him.
Inuyasha looks down at her with a slight roll of the eyes, but nods.
"Whatever makes you happy, Kikyo,"Inuyasha states while he continues to watch the t.v.
Kikyo smiles and kisses his cheek, before looking down at her notebook to make more notes.
"Okay. Now we have to..."Kikyo began again looking at her checklist.

An hour later
With Kagome
"How's the food Shiori?" Kagome asked as she took a sip water.
She's sitting at the head of the table, with her son and his "friend" sitting to her left.
After meeting with Shiori, Kagome told Bankotsu and Jakotsu that she'll take to them later and that she'll watch the cd later in tonight.
When Bankotsu and Jakotsu left, Shiori and Arata did their homework out on the patio while Kagome cooked in the kitchen.
She would occasionally glances out the window to see her son blushing or laughing with Shiori.
"It's really good, Ms. Higurashi," Shiori tells her with a smile.
Kagome nods before turning to her son,"Midoriko is coming over next week."
"To see me? I thought she was out of the town," Arata states as he picks up a spoonful of mash potatoes.
"That and she's going to help clear out some rooms upstairs for the babies," Kagome explains.
"How many babies are you having?" Shiori asks as she looks at Kagome.
"Triplets. Yay!" Kagome says with a sarcastic scream.
"Really? That's exciting," Shiori declares with a giggle.
"And stressful," Kagome states as she picks up her fork. "Don't have kids. They can be so annoying and needy. Like Arata."
"Mom!" Arata shouts with a blush.
"Sorry, inappropriate," Kagome giggles at Arata's blush.
Shiori giggles as she picks up her glass of milk.
Ring! Ring! Ring!
"Excuse me," Kagome excuses herself as she scoots back her chair.
Shiori smiles as she watches Arata help his mother stand up.
"Behave you two," Kagome says as she walks out the dining room.
"Mom!"
"Sorry!" Kagome states while waving away Arata's outcry.
Arata huffs while sitting down in his seat.
"Sorry. She can be embarrassing sometimes," Arata mumbles as he picks up his fork.
"It's okay. I think your mom is adorable," Shiori states with a giggle. "And funny too."
"Really?" Arata asks with a smirk, showing off his braces.
"Yup. Mother like son."
A small blush forms on Arata's face while he continues to eat his food.

With Kagome
"Hello?" Kagome answers after she takes the phone off the hook.
"Hey, how are you?" Inuyasha asks as he takes a seat on the stool at the kitchen island at his house.
"I'm good. Oh guess what! Arata brought home his little girlfriend," Kagome tells him with a smile. "She's pretty."
"Really. That o' boy," Inuyasha says with a smirk. "How's the pups? Are they kicking?"
"Inuyasha, they're so small. I dou-."
"But you're so big!" Inuyasha exclaims, interrupting Kagome.
"What did you just say to me, Takahashi? I'm not that big," Kagome snaps as she looks down at her semi-bloated stomach. It looked like a round pudge on her.
'Demon kids,' she thinks with a roll of her eyes.
Inuyasha chuckles as he looks around the room. He leans up and picks up an apple from the fruit bowl.
"Kikyo and I went to the marriage counselor again," Inuyasha says rolling an apple across the surface of the island.
"How did that go?" Kagome asks as she runs a finger down the wall.
"Kikyo and I need to compromise in order for our marriage to work," Inuyasha says boredly.
"Well you do know teamwork makes the dream work," Kagome says. "I still don't understand your marriage."
"Keh. Whatever. She's also planning our anniversary party," Inuyasha tells her as he turns around in the stool chair. "We will be making nine years this year."
"Why? It isn't something big. Like ten years yeah, but nine years is nothing special," Kagome states.
"Exactly what I told her!"
'Inuyasha! She's using you!'Kagome screams in her head.
"Hey, Inuyasha, tomorrow, can you come over. There's something I have to tell you." Kagome solidified in her mind to tell Inuyasha the truth of what she found out from Jakotsu.
"Oh, okay. I'll be there first thing in the morning," Inuyasha states. "Or I can be there now," Inuyasha whispers throaty hoping Kagome got the sexaul innuendo.
"Tomorrow," Kagome response.
Inuyasha lets out a small grunt in response because she didn't get it.
Silence overtook the conversation as Kagome and Inuyasha tried to think of something to say.
"I miss you," they say at the same time.
Kagome giggles as she moves a piece of hair behind her ear.
"Wow," Kagome mumbles.
"Yeah," Inuyasha says with a smirk.
"Mom," Arata calls out while walking into the kitchen.
"Yes sweetheart?" Kagome asks as she turns around to face her son who's standing in the doorway.
"Shiori has to go. Her mom is outside."
"Okay. Tell her I have a slice a pie for her," Kagome says before turning back to the phone call.
"I have to call you later," Kagome whispers.
"Okay. Talk to you later. Bye," Inuyasha says.
"Bye,"Kagome smiles as she puts the phone on the hook.
She turns around to see her son staring at her with a smirk on his face.
"What?" Kagome asks.
"That was Inuyasha wasn't it,"Arata says and his smirk got bigger.
"How do you know?" Kagome asks as she walks towards the refrigerator.
"Because if it was Uncle Bankotsu or even Mr. Hiten, you wouldn't be all smiles like you are now."
Kagome's hand automatically went up to her mouth.
"Or blushing," he points out to his mother.
"Go, go talk to your girlfriend," Kagome stutters.
"Mom! She isn't my girlfriend."
"Right," Kagome says as she opens the refrigerator. "I'll be out in a few."
Arata mumbles as he walks out the room.
"I love teasing him," Kagome states with a smile.

The Next Day
"Grandpa says that you're staying home today. Are you okay?" Arata asks as he walks into his mother's room.
"I woke up with an upset stomach," Kagome says as she sits up. "Come here, let me fix your collar."
Arata walks towards her in response. After Kagome fixes his collar, she places her hands on his shoulder and smiles up at him. "Handsome."
Arata blushes and smirks in response. "Well of course."
Kagome giggles as she stands up.
"Come on, let me make you some breakfast."
Arata nods as they walk out her room.

An hour later
"Hiten, can you take over for me today?" Inuyasha asks as he peeks into Hiten's office.
"Sure. Where are you going?" Hiten asks.
"To visit Kagome," Inuyasha says dubiously to Hiten.
"Tell Kagome to get better," Hiten says as he looks up from his keyboard.
Inuyasha grunts and Hiten silently chuckles as Inuyasha closes his door.
"I wonder how long it'll take him to realize that Kagome and I aren't interested in each other," Hiten wonders to out loud to himself.

Fifteen minutes later
-On the screen-
"-she chickened out."
Kagome pauses the video and just stares at the screen.
"How is Inuyasha going to take this?"Kagome says biting her thumb nail. She pushes the video to start from the beginning.
Knock! Knock!
"Showtime," Kagome mumbles with a sad sigh.
She stands up, walks out the living room towards the front door.
"Hey," Inuyasha greets as Kagome opens the door.
"Hey," Kagome says, giving him a small smile.
"What's up? How are you feeling today?" Inuyasha asks as he walks inside the house.
"I'm feeling fine now. Water and lemons really helped," Kagome tells him with a soft smile as she closes and locks the door.
She grabs his hand and walks them back to the living room.
"Is Makoto here?" Inuyasha asks as they walk inside the living room and take a seat on the couch.
"No, he's not. It's just you and me," Kagome says with a smile.
Inuyasha smiles at her before leaning over and moving a piece of hair out of her face.
"Beautiful," he mumbles.
Kagome gnaws on her bottom lip in response.
"Inuyasha, there's something I need to tell you," Kagome says breaking his trance.
"What is it?" Inuyasha asks with a raised eyebrow.
Kagome turns around towards the tv, grabs the remote, and starts the video.
"Watch," Kagome states as she grabs Inuyasha's hand.
Inuyasha gives her a glance before turning to look at the tv.
(On the screen)
Tsubaki falls unto Suikotsu's bed and laughs.
"Tonight was fun babe! We should do that more often,"Tsubaki giggled and roll onto her stomach.
"Yeah. Tsubaki, I heard about Kikyo's miscarriage. I'm sorry for the lost," Suikotsu said as he adjust the camera before turning to look at his soon to be ex-girlfriend. "I know Inuyasha took it pretty hard."
"Kikyo says that he was crying like a little bitch. 'My baby this', 'My baby that'. Kikyo would never damage her body like that,"Tsubaki tsked and stretched on the bed.
"I thought she was pregnant. Didn't she use Inuyasha's sperm from the sperm bank?" Suikotsu asked as he took off her shoes and massage her feet.
"That lying bitch! Hell no! She just told him that story so he'll feel like he couldn't abandon her in need," Tsubaki slurred and giggled to herself.
"And who plan was it?" Suikotsu asked as he carelessly dropped her shoes on the floor.
"Hers. I told her to actually do the procedure, but she chickened out and came out with that plan," Tsubaki stated.
"Why are you asking me all these questions? Aren't we supposed to be having sex?" She asks as she sit up abruptly and placed a hand on his cheek.
"We are," Suikotsu told her with a blank look.
Tsubaki stared at him, before giggling. "You're right. I hope you forgive me though."
"Why?"
"Well, when I went to go visit you at the hospital, one day, I snuck into the room that had all the medicine and bottles and took one."
"Okay?" Suikotsu said with a raised brow.
"And I gave it to Kikyo and that caused her to bleed a lot," Tsubaki told him a baby voice. "Please forgive me."
Suikotsu nods and crawl towards her on the bed making her lay down teasing her. "I'm going to go get some water."
"I thought we were having sex," Tsubaki whined and tries to rub his cock but he moves from her touch.
"We are, just lay down a minute," Suikotsu stated before leaving the room.
"Oh. Okay."
Kagome pauses the video and turns around to look at Inuyasha.
Inuyasha stares at the screen in shock. His mouth is open slightly and his eyes had dilated a little.
"Inuya-"
"That bitch," Inuyasha whispers.

"She lied. That bitch lied to me," Inuyasha says, his voice rise by the sentence. "That fucking bitch lied to me! To my fucking face!" He yells as he stands up, his back turn towards her.
"Inuyasha! Calm down." Kagome stands up and places a hand on his shoulder.
"What?!" Inuyasha yells as he turns around, causing Kagome to stumble back and fall onto her back against the couch arm.
"Kagome, are you okay?" Inuyasha asks as he immediately bends down and cradles her in his arms. "I'm sorry. So sorry."
"I feel fine," Kagome tells him as she sits up.
"I-I don't know what came over me," Inuyasha mumbles as he helps her stand up. "Are you okay? Are the babies okay?"
"I'm okay Inuyasha. I was just startled."
Inuyasha nods, before wrapping his arms around Kagome's waist and placing his face in her shoulder.
"I don't want to hurt you. I don't want to be like that bitch. She lied to me! She made me look like a fool. A fucking fool!" Inuyasha says in her shoulder. His voice was rising by the minute.
"Calm down. Please," Kagome says as she rubs his back.
Inuyasha pulls his face out of her neck and looks at her.
Kagome bites her bottom lip as she see redness forming in his eyes.
"She fucking lied to me! She blamed me for everything! She says I was the reason our baby died. There. Was. No. Baby."
"Yashie, calm down," Kagome states softly. She raises a hand and starts rubbing his ear.
"Stop," Inuyasha purrs as he puts his face in her neck.
"Are you calm?" Kagome asks as she stops rubbing his ear.
"No."
Kagome kisses his forehead and rubs his back.
"I'm sorry, Inuyasha."
Inuyasha sighs as he breaths in Kagome's scent.
"Can you make me forget?" Inuyasha whispers as he pulls his face out of her neck.
"Okay," Kagome says with a nod. They stand up; Kagome grabs his hand and walks them out of living room.

With Kikyo
"Inuyasha, I was wondering where you are. I made brunch and you're not here," Kikyo states as she leans against the table. "Well when you get this message, call me."
Kikyo sighs as she sets the phone down. She had called and left a message at his office, but he never answered.
"Mrs. Takahashi, the mail is here," a maid with short blonde hair says as she walks into the dining room.
"Thank you," Kikyo responds as she grabs the mail and takes a seat. The maid nods before leaving the room. Kikyo sighs as she runs a hand through her hair.
"Bills, bills, doctor."
Kikyo places the bills on the table, but starts opening the white packet from the doctor's office.
"We have to inform you," Kikyo starts reading.
A minute later, Kikyo drops the letter and places a hand over her mouth.
"No! No. This can't be happening," she whispers in shock.

An hour later
With Kagome and Inuyasha
"She lied," Inuyasha whispers.
"Shh," Kagome mumbles as she rubs his wet shoulders. Kagome knew Inuyasha wanted to make love. But Kagome didn't, she had other plans.
She had walked him to the bathroom and started the water.
She slowly stripped him of his clothes as the water filled the tube.
Inuyasha automatically relaxed as soon as the hot water touched his body. He looked up at Kagome and silently pleaded for her to join him.
Kagome sat behind him and started to massaged his shoulder, calming him. Inuyasha sighs as Kagome massaged his shoulders.
"That fucking bitch."
"Get your mind off of that," Kagome mumbles as she runs her hands into his hair.
"It hurts Kagome. It really does. She was my wife, Kagome. For eight years," Inuyasha says. "We've been through so much."
"You love her," Kagome states softly as her head rest on top of his.
"I did. So much in the beginning. I did every and anything that she wanted me to do," Inuyasha admits. "But now. Since that night that we got together, my love for her has changed. I love her, but not how I love you since I first laid my eyes on you. Since I first smelled your scent. I was always attracted to you, Kagome. I tried to hide it, but that night, it brought back memories. It brought back feelings that I tried to hide. I love you, Kagome."
Kagome's breath hitches in her throat for a minute, but then she smiles.
"I love you too, Inuyasha. For so long."
Inuyasha smiles as he listens to her heart beat.
"I wish I could go back and change everything about us," Kagome admits softly.
"I do too. I do too."

Later that afternoon
"Mom! I'm home!" Arata shouts as he throws his backpack in the corner next door.
"Hey baby, how was school?" Kagome asks as Inuyasha and her walk out the living room.
"It was good. Hey Yash," Arata says as he closes the door.
"Hey," Inuyasha says, giving him a wave.
"Umm, Yash is taking us out to dinner, Arata," Kagome says as she looks at her son. "He's going through some stuff right now and he just needs to be around family for a while," Kagome honestly tells him.
"Oh, okay," Arata says with a nod. "Where are we going?"
"There's this new arcade place across town," Inuyasha tells him with a shrug.
"Cool. Race you to the car," Arata says before dashing out the house.
"Why you little!" Inuyasha yells as he runs after him.
Kagome shakes her head as she grabs her purse off the small coffee table.
"This should be fun," she says and locks the door giggling to herself.

With Kikyo
"Mrs. Takahashi, are you okay? You look out of it," Momiji's sister, Botan says as Kikyo walks into the kitchen.
"I'm fine," Kikyo mumbles pulling her black bath robe closer around her body. "Has Inuyasha called?"
"No. Not yet. Do you want me to call him again?"
Kikyo shakes her head as she walks towards the refrigerator.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," Kikyo snaps.
She closes the fridge door and storms out the room.
"What's her problem?" Botan silently questions.

An hour later
With Kagome
"I'm beating you!" Arata shouts as he continues throwing basketballs into the hoops.
"Not for long!" Inuyasha shouts back.
Kagome shakes her head as she continues to play a video game.
"Order 51! Your order is ready! Order 51!"
Kagome looks down at her ticket, before finishing her game, collecting her tickets, and getting up.
"Hey guys, the food is done," Kagome says as she stands behind Arata and Inuyasha.
"Winner!" The machine declares.
"In your face!" Arata shouts as he points at Inuyasha.
"Whatever," Inuyasha mumbles with a pout.
An older couple laughed as they walk pass them.
"You have a cute son," the woman tells Inuyasha as they walk past them.
Kagome blushes as Inuyasha smirks and says,"Thank you."
"Arata, go up there and get our food and seat too, ," Kagome tells him with a smile.
Arata nods with a grin on his face.
He collects his tickets, before jogging away.
"Aww, poor baby," Kagome teases as she wraps her arm around Inuyasha's waist.
"Keh," Inuyasha says while picking his tickets. "I see you got a lot of tickets," Inuyasha states as he wraps his arm around her shoulder.
"Video games," Kagome tells him as they walk towards the food court section of the place.
"Umm...how are you going to confront Kikyo?"Kagome asked.
"I'm not sure yet but you know what they say, payback is a bitch," Inuyasha says with a smirk.
Kagome shivers a little at the tone he used. 'I wonder what's he thinking about but I'm glad I'm not her.'

An hour and a half later
"That was fun!" Arata shouts as Inuyasha stops in front of their house. "Thanks Yash."
"You're welcome kid."
"Inuyasha, I have my first basketball game in a few weeks. Could you come?"
"Sure I can. Hell, I'll play if you want."
Kagome shakes her hands as Inuyasha turns around and high fives Arata.
"You two are so much alike," Kagome says with a shake of the head. "And watch your language, Inuyasha."
"Whatever you say, Mom," Inuyasha says with a smirk.
Kagome shakes her head, before turning around to face Arata.
"Arata, go inside and start your homework. I'll be in there in a few."
"Okay. Bye Yash."
"Bye kid," Inuyasha says with a wave.
Kagome watches her son get in the house, before turning to face Inuyasha.
"I-" he starts to say, but Kagome's lips mashed against his stop him from talking. He places a hand on the back of her head to deepen the kiss.
Kagome opens her mouth, allowing Inuyasha to slip his tongue inside.
Kagome wraps her arms around his neck, pulling him closer.
Inuyasha's left hand slips down her shoulder to rest on her hip.
Their tongues play with each for a few seconds, before Kagome pulls away.
"What was that for?" Inuyasha asks with a smirk.
"For being an amazing father," Kagome pants. "The way you treat Arata, like he's yours, it's-."
"He is mine, Kagome. If I had known before, we could have raised him together. Well after I got myself clean."
Kagome smiles up at him. "You're a good man."
"I know. So why did Kikyo lie to me?"
"Don't do that. Okay, don't?" Kagome says with a soft grin. "Don't compare us. I know you're a good man. We know it."
Inuyasha smiles at her and places his forehead against hers, "Thank you."
Kagome smiles as she grabs her purse and stuffed animal. "Thanks for the animal. The kids will love it."
"You're welcome. I have to go back to the office in a few," Inuyasha tells her pulling away to look into her eyes.
"Okay. Call me later," Kagome says.
Inuyasha nods before leaning over to kiss her.
"Bye."
"Bye."
Kagome waves as she watches Inuyasha drive down the street.
"I love him so much," she whispers before turning around to walk inside the house.

.
Later that Night
"I'm home!" Inuyasha announces with a briefcase in hand, as he walks into his bedroom.
He sets his briefcase on their dresser before turning to face Kikyo who's in bed in her pajamas, reading a book.
"Where were you?" Kikyo asks as Inuyasha takes off his suit jacket.
"Out," he tells her and continues to undress.
Kikyo crosses her arms as she gets out of bed and walks towards him.
"Don't start with that bullcrap, Inuyasha. You were with Kagome weren't you?"
"I was," Inuyasha says as he turns to look at her,"and I'm sorry."
"What?" Kikyo asks with shock eyes.
"I'm sorry for being with Kagome. She was feeling moody today and I didn't want her to take it out on Arata," Inuyasha explains as he places a hand on her waist.
Kikyo lets out a gasp as he pulls her close to him.
"Forgive me?" he asks, giving her puppy eyes.
"Yes," Kikyo says as she looks into his eyes.
"Inuyasha," she squeals as Inuyasha's kisses her neck.
He pulls away and gives her a peck on the lips.
"I have some business to take care of. But-."
"But?" Kikyo asks with a smile.
"Nevermind. It's a surprise," Inuyasha says before kissing her lips.
"Oh!"
Inuyasha nods and kisses the top of her head before walking out their bedroom.
Kikyo lets out a happy sigh as she takes a seat on the bottom of the bed.
"That was strange, he's super happy." She falls back on her bed and lets out a sigh.
"I guess I won't tell him the news yet and have to tell him about what I did either. No need to cry over spilt milk. If he's happy, I'm happy."

A month and a half later
Over the past month and a half, Inuyasha, Arata, and Kagome had become closer.
At Kagome's house, Inuyasha would occasionally talk or rub Kagome's stomach and they would occasionally cuddle or sneak off to have some alone time. He would also bond with Arata by helping him with school work and play basketball with him.
Inuyasha hadn't confronted Kikyo about the secret that he found out. He was hoping that she would confess herself.
But she never did.
Kagome would often ask him why he didn't confront Kikyo about what he found out. He would just tell her to be patient and that he was handling it his way.
Since Kikyo is too focused on setting up their anniversary party, she hadn't stop by the office to check on her husband.
Their wedding anniversary is tomorrow, and everyone is going to be there. Inuyasha told Kagome that something big was going to happen.
Kagome shook it off and didn't believe him at first, but she silently wondered what it could possible be.

Friday Night
With Kagome
"Yeah, I'll be there in a few," Kagome says as she fixes her lip gloss. "Sango and Miroku were just here a few minutes ago to drop off the kids. "I'll probably be there in like ten minutes, maybe fifteen. My hairdresser got me into her chair late. I'll see you at the party then," Kagome says as she hears a squeal from downstairs.
"Okay. Bye."
"Bye."
Kagome ends the call and places the used napkin on her dresser.
She steps back and looks at herself in the mirror.
She runs her hand down the front of her white knee length, thick strap dress that's tight around the breast and thigh area. She remembered Inuyasha asked her to wear red accents. She slipped her feet into her red, two inch heels and made sure that her red pearl earrings, necklace, and bracelet were straight and looked decent.
Her make up consists of light red eyeshadow, red lipstick, and black mascara. She tied her hair is in a bun with a swoop bang.
She rubs her bloated stomach and smiles.
"Mommy looks cute. Huh, kids?" Kagome asks as she glances at the clock.
It was seven o' nine.
"Uhh, let me go to this party," Kagome says as she turns around and grabs her red clutch purse. "Inuyasha says there's going to be a surprise though. I wonder what he meant by that."
Kagome shakes her head, before making her way out of her room.
"Where is everyone?" Kagome asks as she walks down the stairs.
"In the living room!" Arata shouts in response.
Kagome walks towards the living room and sees her son sitting on the couch while Sango and Miroku's twins, Saeki and Saeka, sit on the floor, coloring.
"I'm about to go. There's food in the fridge and money on the counter for pizza later. Rin should be here with her son in a few minutes. Don't open the door for anyone else and have your phone and house phone on loud. Loud ring," Kagome says as she walks towards them.
She gives the girls a kiss on the head, before turning towards her son.
"Okay mom," Arata says as he looks up at her.
"Since you're babysitting, I'll buy you a few new video games tomorrow," Kagome says as she bends down and kisses his cheek.
"Cool," Arata tells her with a smirk.
Kagome smiles and ruffles his hair, before walking out the living room.
"I'll be back around ten. Bye everyone."
"Bye Aunty Kaggy!"
"Bye Mom."
Once Kagome turns the alarm on and locks the door, she walks towards her car.
She locks her car door, before starting her car. She sets her purse in the seat next to her and puts her seatbelt on.
"Let's go see Daddy kids," Kagome whispers before pulling away from the curb and driving down the street.

An hour later
"Nice party," Sango mumbles as she takes a sip of her water.
"Yup," Kagome says as she rubs her stomach. Her, Sango, and Ayame are sitting on a couch in the corner of the room while Inuyasha's family took pictures with Inuyasha, Kikyo, and her family. The men had gone to eat some more food.
Kagome sighs as she looks at Kikyo's outfit. She's wearing a long, heart shaped black dress with a slit that stops mid thigh. Her arms are wrapped around Inuyasha's waist as they pose for a picture. Inuyasha's wearing a black tuxedo with a red bow tie and vest.
'That could have been us. Happy,' Kagome thought to herself and sighs.
"Hello, earth to Kagome," Sango says as she waves a hand in front of Kagome's face.
Ayame giggles as Kagome snaps back into reality.
"Sorry, what did you say?" Kagome asks as she shakes her head.
"I said, I might bw pregnant." Sango says. "I missed my period last week."
"Really?! That's not shocking though," Kagome tells her with a giggle. "I'm kidding," she says as she sees the pout on Sango's face.
"Tall, dark, and handsome is coming our way," Ayame says with a low whistle as she crosses her legs. She's wearing a green thick strap dress with gold heels.
Kagome looks up and smiles. "Hello Hiten."
"Hey Kagome," Hiten greets as he bends down to hug her.
"And has manners," Ayame mumbles causing Sango to hit her leg. "What?"
"You know Sango," Kagome states as she sits up and Hiten stands next to her.
Hiten nods and shakes hands with Sango.
"And that's our friend, Ayame."
"Hiten," Hiten states as he shakes her hand.
"Ayame," Ayame says with a nod.
"Is your father here?" Hiten asked.
"No. He and his girlfriend went out of town this weekend," Kagome says. "Did you just get here?"
"Yes. I had to make sure Soten was handle with. I called a sitter," Hiten replies.
Kagome nods as she glances around the room. "Arata homes with the girls' kids. I should call him and check up on them."
Hiten nods as Kagome gets up and sways a little, before catching herself.
"You okay, Kagome?" Sango asked as Rin and Sesshomaru walk towards them.
"Yeah. I'm fine. I just got dizzy," Kagome says as she places a hand on her head.
"You want to lay down. I can get Inuyasha to put you in one of the rooms," Sesshomaru states.
"I'm fine now. I'll be back in a few. Got to call Arata," Kagome says, giving them a smile.
She picks up her purse, before turning back to face the group watch Kagome walk away before turning to each other.
"Is she always like that?" Hiten asks.
"All the time," Sesshomaru says and the girls nod in agreement.
Then the group laughs for a minute, before starting a conversation.

Ten minutes later
With Kagome
"Okay. Love you too. Bye," Kagome says, before ending the call.
"Arata?" Inuyasha asks causing Kagome to jump in shock.
"You scared me," Kagome states as she places a hand on her chest. "But yes it was."
"How is he?" Inuyasha asks as Kagome puts her phone in her purse and closes it.
"Good. He just got the pizza and the kids are doing fine," Kagome tells him as he checks his watch. It was 8:17. They would be cutting the cake soon.
"That's good," Inuyasha states as they start walking down the hallway towards the entrance of the ballroom.
"Bankotsu and his brothers said that they'll be here later. Something with their dad came up early," Kagome explains.
Inuyasha nods as they stop in the entrance of the ballroom.
"How are you feeling? Sesshomaru said that you were feeling dizzy," Inuyasha tells her.
"I'm feeling fine. Everyone needs to stop asking me that," Kagome says with a grin. "I'm Kagome Higurashi."
Inuyasha shakes his head as he runs his hand through his hair. "Where's Naraku and Sota?"
"Sota is in Spain and Naraku just got into town. So him and Kagura should be here in a few," Kagome explains.
Kikyo glances in their direction, before continuing her conversation with her sister.
"So what was that surprise you were talking about?" Kagome asks as she leans all her weight on her left leg.
"You'll have to wait."
Kagome groans as she looks down at the ground."
"But," Inuyasha says, causing Kagome to look up at him. He licks his lips and sighs.
"Kagome, promise me, that you'll listen to everything I say and understand what I did," Inuyasha tells her as he places his hands on her expanding waist. "I did it for us."
"Inuyasha, what are you talking about?" Kagome asks with a tilt of the head.
"You'll find out soon," Inuyasha whispers before kissing the top of her head and walking away.
"Inuyasha," Kagome whispers as she watches Inuyasha walk to his father.
'I did it for us. What could he possibly mean by that?' Kagome wonders and rejoins the gang in the ballroom.

.
Ten minutes later
"Wow!"
"Beautiful!"
"Amazing!"
"Big!"
Several of Kikyo's friends and family gushes as two butlers rolled a five tier white cake with red trim into the room. Naraku, Bankotsu, and his family had arrived five minutes ago and were standing with the other guests around the celebrating couple.
"This is pretty," Inuyasha hears Kikyo whisper. He silently glances at the clock and smiles.
'It's time.'
The butler stops the table right in front of Kikyo and Inuyasha. The butlers bow before leaving.
"Inuyasha! Look at it! It's amazing," Kikyo says as she looks at the cake for a minute.
She smiles for a picture, before bending down to grab the knife.
"Can I make an announcement?" Inuyasha abruptly asks.
Kikyo does a nervous chuckle as she turns to face him.
"Right now?" Kikyo hisses at him and smile at the guests.
She notices that a few of the guest started to whisper and murmurs.
"Yes. Everyone! I have an announcement to make!" Inuyasha shouts as he turns towards everyone.
"Inuyasha, what are you doing?" Kikyo stage whispers and grabs the top of his arm.
"You'll find out in a few minutes, love," Inuyasha says as he kisses the top of her head.
Inuyasha pulls away and looks down at his wife. Fears seeps into Kikyo's body as she sees the sinister look in her husband's eyes.
"Well speak now, boy. You're wasting everyone's time," Kansuke says with a frown.
Inuyasha clears his throat with a smirk on his face.
"Sorry Kansuke. I didn't mean to waste your time. I just want everyone to know how much a lying bitch your daughter is," Inuyasha says and loosened his bow tie
Everyone gasps at Inuyasha's language.
"Boy!" Kansuke snaps as he marches towards Inuyasha.
"Shut the hell up, Kansuke. I'm not your little bitch anymore," Inuyasha growls.
"Inuyasha, can we talk in private?" Kikyo whispers to Inuyasha.
She looked around and sees everyone start to murmur. She looks at Tsubaki and sees the look of worry in her eyes.
"No, Kikyo. I want everyone to hear how you and your family not only fucked me over, but my family and the Higurashi's' too," Inuyasha tells her with a smile.
Kikyo whimpers and tries to walk away but Inuyasha stops her.
"No wait hunny, it's a surprise, remember," Inuyasha says and grabs Kikyo's right forearm.
"What do you mean, Inuyasha?" Inu No Taisho asks with a raised eyebrow.
"At first, the only reason I married Kikyo was because her father threaten Kagome and the company," Inuyasha says as he turns to his left to face his parents.
He takes a sip of his champagne, before continuing the story.
"You see, I originally left Kikyo to see Kagome one more time. I wanted to be with Kagome, until Kansuke threatened to pull all his money away from the business and expose Kagome and I."
"You did sleep with her," Kikyo whispers as she places a hand over her mouth unshed tears forming in her eyes.
Inuyasha ignored her and turns to face Kansuke. He sets his glass on the table before continuing his speech.
"You had me in your clutches for a long time, old man. But I found out your secret. All that money that was invested in Ashi was mafia money, which in layman terms means illegal money if you didn't know."
Several people gasp, including Kikyo's mother.
"Congratulations, Takahashi," Kansuke spits out. "Since you know that, Ashi will be shut down," Kansuke says with a clap and laugh.
"Not quite," Inuyasha states, wagging a finger at him causing Kansuke to stop his gut wrenching laugh.
"What the fuck do you mean?" Kansuke asks nervously.
"You see, when Mr. Higurashi hired Hiten, I researched his background information. I asked him for a little favor. So all your money from way back when has been replaced back in your own banking account," Inuyasha says triumphantly. "And Ashi has been funded by Hiten's money, now."
"I-i-i-impossible," Kansuke says in fear.
"It isn't. I even asked my lawyers," Inuyasha states with a cross of the arms. "You have five minutes to talk to your wife and your family. You see, I already called the cops and they've been sitting here the entire time. Isn't that right, Officer Kazi and Officer Jin?"
Two men with wide shoulders and brown hair, wearing blue shirts and black pants and suit jackets wave their hands in response.
"Inuyasha, how could you?!" Kikyo cries hysterically as Kansuke rushes towards the door, but Officer Kazi stops him before he made it past the open bar.
"Oh, I'm sorry," Inuyasha says as he turns towards Kikyo. "How could I forget."
Kikyo sways slightly at the tone he takes. She wiped the mascara that was running down her cheeks.
"You see everyone," Inuyasha starts to speak.
He turns to his guests who are looking at Inuyasha and Kikyo in shock.
"My lovely wife lied to me about a miscarriage. Come to find out, she was never pregnant in the first kind of sick, delusional person does that?" Inuyasha rhetorically asks the guests that were witnessing this marriage fall apart.
"Inuyasha, stop," Tsubaki demands as she steps forward towards the couple.
"Oh ladies and gentlemen, here's the mastermind behind it too. Did you find it funny Tsubaki?" Inuyasha asks sarcastically clapping his hands.
Tsubaki glares at him in response. Kikyo grabs Inuyasha hand and yanks him around to face her.
"Holy shit," Sango whispers to Rin who nods in response.
"This is entertaining. Just need some popcorn," Rin says as she takes a sip of her wine.
Ayame giggles as Kagome shakes her head.
"Stop it, please. Can we talk in private?" Kikyo pleads pulling him towards her.
"Why? So you can tell me another one of your lies? I'm done, Kikyo. I'm fucking done with us and this marriage," Inuyasha says as he pushes her away from him and takes off his wedding band.
"Inu, don't. I can fix this. Please I can-," Kikyo started to say with her bottom lip trembling, hiccuping, fat black tears rolling down her cheeks, and nose turning red.
"Just fucking stop," Inuyasha demands as he throws his ring on the floor next to her feet. "You're a fucking liar. You made me believe that my own flesh and blood died. You knew how much I wanted kids. You fucking knew! Then to find out all of that was all a lie. It made me feel heartbroken and you clearly didn't give a fucking damn about me," Inuyasha says swallowing a lump in his throat feeling his anger slowly losing control.
"We were perfect until she got pregnant," Kikyo screeched as she shakingly pointed at an unsuspected Kagome.
Inuyasha grabs her finger and yanks her close to him. Kikyo tries to lean into his body to cry into his shoulder. Inuyasha lifted her chin and saw her chin tremble again.
"Don't blame anyone here but yourself and your friend. Kagome had nothing to do with what you did. Unlike you, Kagome has been telling me the truth since day one," Inuyasha hisses in Kikyo's before shoving her from his body in disgust.
Kikyo stumbles away from the shove and steadied herself. She starts to huff and puff wiping her tears away. Her eyebrows arched into a scowl and squared her shoulders.
"Fuck you Inuyasha! She hid a child from you. That whore isn't so innocent herself," she snaps as tears cloud her eyes again.
"Don't fucking call her that," Inuyasha growls deep in his throat. "She'd even warn me about you. She told me to leave you a long time ago and I'm finally going to do it!" Inuyasha yells at Kikyo.
"Inuyasha! No! Don't leave me! Please! You can't do this to me. To us!" Kikyo screams going down on her knees crying hysterically crawling towards him.
"You lied to me! You made me believe that we lost a child!" Inuyasha screams while moving away from her grasp causing a few people to flinch.
"I did it for us, please believe me! I did it for us!" Kikyo wailed as she clasped his arm looking up to him.
Inuyasha snatches his arm away from her, before walking away towards Kagome.
Urasue quickly rushes towards her broken daughter crying in a heap in a fetal position. Officers Kazi and Jin handcuff Kansuke, read him his rights, and start to escort him off the premises. No one notice how close Tsbukai was to the police officer.
"Inuyasha," Kagome mumbles as he stands in front of her.
"Yes Kagome?" Inuyasha asks with a smirk.
"You're a jerk."
A scowl forms on Inuyasha's face, "At least the truth came out."
"But not like this. You could have done it in private. And-" Kagome starts to say until Inuyasha pulls her into a kiss.
Kagome smiles through the kiss while wrapping her arms around her neck.
"That's it!" Tsubaki yells.
Inuyasha quickly pulls away from Kagome and turn as he hears the distinct noise of a gun.
Tsubaki's standing in front of them with Officer Kazi's gun.
"Ma'am! Put the gun down!" Officer Jin shouts.
"Tsubaki, what are you doing?" Sango worriedly asks standing up.
"She doesn't deserve to live. She ruins everything," Tsubaki angrily says as she points the gun at Kagome.
"Tsubaki calm down and hand over the gun," Rin says slowly.
"Kikyo and Inuyasha have been through so much, yet Kagome's always there to pick up the fucking pieces," Tsubaki yells shaking the gun in her unstable hands with tears streaming down her face. "Kikyo, she's like a sister to me. You hurt my sister!'
Kikyo and her mother stand in shock like everyone else. They knew if they moved, someone was going to get hurt.
"Tsubaki. Plea-," Kagome slowly steps from behind Inuyasha in response.
Bang!

"Kagome!"
"In-Inu-Inuyasha?"
