Arrival

Troopers weren't meant to be off the battlefield. It's our home. – Unknown Clone Commando

The space above Harvest was alive as groves of large ships moved to and fro, their large forms menacing and dominant as they orbited around a large object. Orbital stations remained ever vigilant in their set sectors as they guarded the prize jewel of the ISA with honor. Squadrons of fighters performed routine patrol of the mushroom shaped superstructure as they guided any and all incoming freighters and commercial ships into the structure. Yet to top it all off, 6 tremendous super carriers loomed around the superstructure as well, protecting as knights would a queen. This super structure that loomed over the planet of Harvest was the home of the ISA government and the staging ground for a chain of events that would change life as we knew it forever. This was High Faith.

The massive mobile city structure was originally used by the covenant during the war under the name High Charity. It was here that most of the species of the collective lived and followed the will of the prophets. From holy sermons, to species conferences, all important matters regarding the covenant and its species were to be held on High Charity. After the Great Schism, and the tainting of it by the flood, it was to believed be all but lost and nothing more than relic until it was recovered. The ISA, unsure of utilizing such a relic with history, put it to a vote. A vote to use what had once brought them all to together in the greatest conflict recorded, to now be used to progress them all together as one. Days had passed before a decision was made to utilize the fallen holy city as the pinnacle of the ISA formation. In the beginning it was rough. Skepticism, trauma, past regret and hate, the city caused more harm to the people it was entrusted to housing. But as years went on, the structure changed. No longer was it the dark and dreadful place it was associated with in the past. No, after long, High Faith's people changed her. Rebuilding, a process that took all the help that they could muster, strengthened their bond, put aside petty squabbles, and made the city their home.

Gone, were the prophet's traces of ever being there, resurrected was the mausoleum of the Arbiter, and rebuilt was the city for them all. Hospitals, homes, council zones, engineering, the city thrived more than its predecessor ever could. The city rivaled, no dwarfed, the African mega-city of Earth, New Mombassa. Even its looks and architecture while varying in different levels of High Faith depending on species, largely borrowed its look from the Mega-City as well. It was here that events begun to unfold that would change everything.

The space around Faith was quiet as it had been for some time now until multiple sets of large portals tore rifts all around the super structure. The defenses around did not act nor pay any attention as the three large Killamanjaro class cruisers and 1 Arbiter class cruiser arrived followed by their supporting fleets. Greetings were sent to the familiar faces until more ships followed through the portals. Ships they had never seen before. Though foretold of their arrival, seeing them was still hard to believe as the triangular shaped ships hovered closely to the large super-carriers as if to hide and not draw attention.

Aboard the lead Killamanjaro class cruiser "Unrelenting Reach" stood the motley crew of species whether former republic or Current ISA as they stared at the proud jewel of the Alliance. The Jedi and Clones were taken back by the grandeur of the space station and the lengths the alliance had gone to show that it and the planet it orbited was to be protected at all costs. Their flight uneventful till now as they gathered that they would now be publicly debuted to a conglomerate of citizens made them a little uneasy as first impressions were important. But none of that mattered as they took in High Faith as the rest of the Alliance personnel carried about their business as nothing was out of the ordinary.

"It is quite magnificent this governments citadel, though it is quite peculiar to have your government orbit the planet rather than stay on it?" Obi-Wan stated matter of fact.

"I agree Master Obi-wan, why keep your important leaders up here instead of down there?" Ahsoka also asked.

Everyone on the bridge currently turned to Therom' as he stared at High Faith longingly with Cody by his side as well. He spoke solemnly as he continued to stare at the grand super-structure and the planet behind it.

"10 years." He stated.

Everyone present continued to look at him questioningly while those from the ISA carried on about their business. Since their arrival the workload had increased ten-fold from direct orders from the highest authority, Silverman, herself. She wanted, no, needed everything here to go without hitch and she was going to sure that nothing intervened. Fleets stood on alert as early warning posts were on immediate watch. If any threat were to rear its head against the Alliance this day they weren't getting through without being in a body bag or a VERY damaged fleet.

"10 years is how long it's been over Harvest. 10 years is how long it's been since we've returned." Therom' said coolly.

Though his answer did nothing more than draw more confusion from the republic leaders as they turned their attention back to High Faith with curious glances.

"So..it's a new construction?" Rex assumed.

Therom' sighed before turning to his Republic charges before exiting the room.

"I never said it was constructed only that it had been HERE ten years. If you would meet me in the hangar bay we must depart to the city. Cody if you will."

Cody nodded before donning his helmet and give a parting glance to everyone else before following behind Therom' the bridge doors sliding closed behind them. His cryptic message leaving only more questions for the group as they continued to stare outwards at the planet and its fleet. The clone commanders present were still unsure of their role to play in all this and had once again delegated the menial tasks to the Jedi but they unfortunately knew that they would have a role to play in this unveiling once it was started. Though the Jedi were in no better state as they had to explain themselves as well as their betrayal and arrival to billions in hopes of whatever aid could be offered to them. Even now the Jedi council conversed with one another as the others listened on. Master Yoda was silent in his thinking as he watched the others voice their opinions and concerns. The High council while still active was still missing members, reminding the Jedi of what they had escaped.

"I for one wish it wasn't to be this way but ,as Miss Silverman stated, this turn of events was brought about by the mandalorians arrival" Stass Alie stated.

"Indeed. Though I am curious to hear from there at a later time why are they here as well. Their presence is one to be wary of." Mace Windu intervened

Obi Wan straightened his beard as he addressed the now smaller High council. His view focused on the clone commanders as they idled and watched the many frigates and freighters pass by.

"Indeed, though I have had an interesting interaction with the Mandolorians, we mustn't be hasty but still cautious. We don't need another deathwatch popping up here as well."

The Council and surrounding Jedi nodded as they recalled the mandalorian radical group. They believed mandalore had become soft in it's new age and fought and used terror to restore the previous warrior culture they had revered in the past. Though this same culture was what had landed mandalore in a foul state. They waged a war that had spread on a galactic scale and in the height of their power they were defeated and pushed back all the way to their home world and nearly brought to extinction by the Jedi and republic. Having deathwatch here where people knew nothing of their radical history did not bode well.

"Master Yoda what do you believe to be the best course of action?" Plo Koon asked with arms folded.

Yoda turned as he had been silent the entire conversation in meditation. Eyes closed, he breathed in as he enveloped himself and those around him in the force. The Jedi around him felt the unseen presence and let it envelop them as well. They're nerves were calm as Yoda's peaceful presence was pushed out to them in waves. Unbeknownst to him and the surrounding Jedi many ISA crew members looked around for an unseen presence as well before continuing their work.

Yoda opened his eyes, dropping his meditation and releasing his charges that had become enveloped in his emotions. He smiled as he began to hobble towards the door Therom' had exited. Two Sangheili honor guards awaited outside the door before taking places by his side acting as his escorts.

"Guests we are yes? Would be most rude to be late hmm? Yes?"

With that being said he began to hobble his way to the hangar as the rest of his fellow Jedi began to accompany him. One by one the Jedi council members and few tag alongs began to exit the bridge leaving the few clone commanders and Ahsoka. She had began to leave with the others but had stopped once she noticed a few of the more important commanders of the Republic Remant discuss something. Walking over to the huddle of clones she quietly listened on their serious conversation as she didn't notice her presence nor the lack of the other Jedi. In the huddle was Rex, Bly, Gree, Doom and Fox.

Rex sighed as he addressed the few commanders present "alright so who's going down there?"

He eyed the few clone commanders who stared back at him in silence. Most of them glanced at each other hoping one would step forward but none did.

"Come on then. Who's coming with me and Cody? It has to be one or two of you. I'm up to my neck in management of our legions and with Cody being assigned to one of the Elites I've lost my help so who's coming and don't try to weasel out of it."

Doom folded his arms and shrugged as he sighed. He looked at the others around before turning to Rex with a frown on his face.

"With all due respect Rex, why exactly ARE we going down there? Why don't we just let the Jedi handle it?"

Rex palmed his head as he vented outwards towards the clone commanders.

"It's not that simple anymore Doom."

Bly raised an eyebrow as chose to hop in the conversation. Folding his arms as well he eyed Rex.

"And why exactly is that?"

Rex sighed again as he pulled out a datapad from his hip and passing to the others grouping around they saw it contained the current troop numbers from each legion they had massed during their rebellion. It showed detailed troop numbers and commanders as well as military equipment, vehicles, even the cloning equipment and small amount of kaminoans that had followed them were listed. Gree skimmed over the data before turning back to Rex

"And this is?"

"Detailed troop numbers and inventory. Updated since our recent battle but the numbers are there. We're in charge of them."

Bly rolled his eyes as he scoffed at Rex's words.

"Well yeah we're in charge of them. We've been leading them into battle for years. What's your point?"

Rex was silent for a moment as if trying to find the right words to say. He stared at the ground for a moment while others simply stared at him in his silent brooding. Fox leaned in a tad concerned as the others looked on with confusion.

"Rex? What exactly did you mean then by 'in charge'."

Ceasing his short vow of silence he steeled his gaze at each of the other clone commanders

"I mean we're in charge. In charge of them all."

Doom's face scrunched up into one of massive confusion as he seemed like he had been rocked by the information while others were only still only processing.

"You don't mean-"

Rex cut him off with a nod of his head.

"During the mock meeting between the Jedi and two of the ISA's leaders the Jedi recognized us clones as our own people during the meeting."

The clones' jaws dropped as they took in what Rex had said and the implications behind it. What he was saying was that not only were the clone soldiers recognized their own people it meant that they no longer soldiers of the republic but instead their own band of soldiers with no flag to rally behind. They were just as much as a council candidate as the other species. But with this also brought other implications. This meant the clone's needed structure, government, and a representative or leader. Gree was the first one to recover and quickly rounded on Rex.

"But, how? Rex we're just clones! We we're meant to fight. Not lead normal lives. It was what we were bred for!"

"I know but now you understand the importance of this! There is no more Republic, and without a republic there is no standing clone army. All that breeding, all those years of training for the republic, and for what."

Rex clasped the back of his as he stood with others. Obviously they were still processing this information as they stood in silence.

"I met a clone once. Outside. Away from the battlefield."

The others turned to look at him as he continued on.

"A deserter from the battle Geonosis. His team was wiped out and he chose not to die that day. So he ran. Ran and left the Republic army. Years later, during another hunt for general Grevious, I was injured and brought to a farm. A quiet place overseen by a twi'lek woman and her daughter and son. They let rest there for their night while her husband was away. But would you believe my face when that husband turned out to the same deserter from Geonosis. The same clone.

The other clones and still quietly Ahsoka listened to Rex's tale with interest as he continued on lost in his own memory.

"I thought about turning him in. Doing what I was supposed to as a soldier. But then, I saw his family, his home, the new world he had built for himself and noticed how happy he was in it. I couldn't bring myself to do it. We've always wondered what life would be like for us clones and there it was staring me in the face. I couldn't tear that apart. But that clone, no that man, was living proof there is more to us than just another battle. And right now that opportunity to choose something for our brothers other than mindless bloodshed is right in front of us. A chance to give them and our future brothers lives. True lives not ruled by combat. I know we're mandalorian, just as much as the blood of Jango flows through each of us, but this. This is our only chance at a new future for us all.

Ahsoka choose this moment to make herself known as she placed her hand on Rex's shoulder. He was shocked by her entrance but his demeanor changed once she smiled and turned to the others commanders her only point being a nod of approval towards the other commanders. They were still silent in thought as they glanced at each other before Bly spoke up. He shook his head as a smile slowly started to etch across his face.

"Well Rex as much as I wanna turn you in for insubordination there's no one really to take you to anymore. But besides, a life of peace for our brothers is something I've always longed for.

His smile spread to Rex as well as he turned to the others. Gree nodded and Fox gave him a thumbs up. While Doom cracked a smile as well his voice interrupting their moment.

"But you're sure about this Rex? What about the Jedi."

"I was told they would respect any decision we make. They're in the same boat as us. The Jedi need to rebuild, to recover. They want us to do the same."

"And the kaminoans? They've been awfully quiet ever since we've arrived here."

Rex frowned before his sigh of disappointment returned once again.

"That's something we should discuss with the Jedi and quite possibly the I.S.A."

The others frowned in thought over his words but put them off in hopes of receiving answers soon. Bly skimmed over the troop numbers information one last time before handing it back to Rex.

"And what of the other commanders and captains? Hell what about the troopers, how do we break this to them?"

Holstering his data pad Rex stared back out towards High Faith.

"The other clone commanders and captains are aware of our current situation as well as he meeting soon to take place. We'll inform the troopers once we know what we've gotten ourselves into. You all were brought here because you're the only men alongside Cody who I can trust to quite possibly lead us as a people. Council work, Politics, a senate lifestyle awaits one of us unfortunately and I needed the best to be put into a position like that. I needed experience and you all are not short in that department."

Bly was the first to frown as the others carried looks of indifference. He folded his arms and raised an eyebrow as he eyed Rex.

"A senate lifestyle? Sorry Rex but no thanks. My place is on the battlefield."

Rex chuckled as he turned towards giving him a fistbump of approval.

"Hehe copy that Bly. But in all seriousness it will have to be one of us. No decision has to be made now. But will need to made if this meeting is going to go how I think it is."

"You have that much faith in the ISA Rex? That much trust?" Doom sighed.

"I do." He responded bluntly

"This is either your greatest plan or the worst one yet. Either way I don't think I'll care enough to find out which until it's too late. But we're with you."

The clones nodded their heads in approval as they did all realize one of them would have to leave the army in order for their now recognized to people to get any aid from the ISA. Though before any more could be said Ahsoka's wrist communicator went off ending their short meeting. Answering it, Obi-Wan's voice came through clearly as she could hear the heavy sounds of machinery being moved.

"Yes master Obi-Wan?"

"Ahsoka where are you? We are running quite late and I'd rather not make Master Windu wait any longer. He can be quite intimidating."

Ahsoka's eyes widened as he imagined Master Windu's piercing gaze.

"Yes master. Me and the clone commanders will be there shortly."

"Do try and make sure of that Ahsoka. Obi-Wan out."

Dropping the link Ahsoka stared at the clones with a look that screamed 'I'm so dead' as she walked towards the bridge door with slight quickness in her movements. The clones watched her exit before shaking their heads and laughing. Rex was the first to calm down the group as he wiped a tear from his eye.

"Alright. Alright. That wraps this up and we need to go. But I still need at least one of you to come with me."

The group nodded but before anything could be discussed Fox immediately stepped forward.

"I'll go with you Rex."

Rex nodded as he addressed the rest of the group.

"Good that's all I needed to hear. You all hold down the fort here and keep the boys from causing trouble. Here's the datapad back. If you need to get any work done or need clearance provided by the ISA that'll get you it. Be back soon, and hopefully with some answers."

Handing off the data pad to Bly he nodded towards them one last time before exiting the bridge with Fox by his side. Fox and Rex were mostly silent in their walk to the hangar as they traversed the Super carrier. Clones and the occasional ISA soldier sent nods their way as they made their way to the transport that awaited them in hangar. They could tell that the morale of the troops had risen since they had returned this being as close to home as they can possibly get it seems. Rex shrugged it off though as he had a much larger task before him and his brothers. He approached a corridor with an elevator its doors remained open as two human honor guards waited inside. Waiving them over, the two clone commanders entered as the doors sealed shut and the sudden jerk of movement signaled the elevators departure to the main hangar. As the elevator sped across the length of the super carrier the outside could still be seen as High Faith hovered in place.

"We'll be heading city side soon as we reach the pelican sir." The honor guard stated.

Rex thanked him as he and fox continued to stare at High Faith, the two humans also sharing their awe.

"Beautiful isn't she?"

Fox glanced over before continuing to look out at High Faith.

"Yea. Yea it is. You seem quite fond of it yourself."

"Hehe right I am. I'm a Faith native. Born and raised there. That's home for me. I remember when she was still having large sections of her renovated over Earth. Was there when they moved her too Sangheilios too."

Rex tore his eyes away from the structure as he addressed the trooper. He looked as if one of his major questions had been answered as he folded his arms.

"So it's mobile? Figured as much from Therom's cryptic answer."

"Yep. She's mobile alright. Doesn't stick around over one planet for too long before jumping too another. Usually takes the whole fleet surrounding her with her minus a few ships here and there. Strangely enough she's been over Harvest the long now. She's going on ten years here."

"How long does she usually stick around?" Rex inquired.

Glancing at the other honor guard they were silent as they shrugged their shoulders before holding up seven fingers.

"Oh yea. To be honest it varies on a lot of things but the longest she's been over a planet was seven years and that was Sangheilios. Hell she was only over Earth for four and a half I think."

He was slapped on the shoulder quite roughly before a 5 fingered hand was shoved at him.

"Ok. Ok. Five years jeez. Anyways no one's really sure what dictates her time around except the council and even then they don't make it public when and where its moving until already done."

Fox raised an eyebrow as the elevator jerked slightly again.

"Any idea why? Maybe to avoid attack?"

The guard chuckled as the elevator begin slowly decrease it's speed signaling they were nearing their destination.

"No clue on that one sir. You'd have to carry some big balls to wanna attack High Faith and it's fleet. Though some of the higher ups and us grunts speculate it travels to historical points during the war. Hell some believe Harvest may be its' permanent home since this is where the covenant war began but none of us know for sure. Anyways this is your stop sirs. Have fun down there and tell the split-lips going with you to bring me back what I asked for!"

As if on cue the elevator stopped and the steel doors slid open to reveal one of the massive hangars of the super carrier. As large as they were, putting carriers like the retired Infinity to shame, the hangars that contained the massive frigates remained a few levels below the main hangar. This was where transports and fighters were quickly deployed and refitted without delay for any mission. Spanning miles long, some even used the common warthog to traverse the large area with supplies as it bustled with activity from each and every species. Fox and Rex were a bit overwhelmed by all this activity and tried their hardest to spot the pelican that would be their transport to the city. Having no luck, the two were about to contact the Jedi when the two Sangheili honor guards from before marched towards them. Rex had to admit even if they were allies for the time being their hulking and towering forms were intimidating as their shining armor added a slight warrior factor to them as well.

The two guards nodded at the clones before gesturing for them to follow. Beginning to walk most of the hangar the two commanders turned their focus to sightseeing as they took in all that was happening around them. Pelicans and Phantoms were having minor repairs and refits done to them as Longswords and Seraphs were lifted crane equipment and carried below deck. A group Unggoy hobbled pass the two carrying what looked to be tools and trailed by a human and Sangheili both donning a bright orange harness. Huragok engineers hummed as they floated past doing whatever it is they do paying little mind to the clones. Even the hulking Mgalekgolo, their shining armor orange as well, moved supplies and vehicle parts back and forth as the hangar was a bustle of activity.

"Sure is lively around here." Fox observed.

One of the honor guards hummed in thought before speaking.

"It is not often we return to High Faith. Resupplying a fleet as large as ours takes vast amounts of resources that most colonies cannot do without. Our arrival is the perfect time to resupply on what we may need in the future."

"I see." Fox agreed

"So this place also serves as a hub for fleets to refit whenever they do return?" Rex chimed in.

"For the larger fleets yes. Smaller ones accommodate themselves over planets or space stations for the most part. Though we mustn't delay any longer your transport to the city awaits."

Awaiting them in an unmarked bay was an all-black pelican. It's purpose seemed none other than to transport individuals of high importance to their destination. It's design deviated little besides the lack of any weapons and color though this Pelican was unlike others. It was one of the few to carry onboard shielding as well as its on miniature slip-space drive in the event of prolonged journeys. It also seemed its armor plating was thicker that of the original pelicans but the lack of weapons systems and small drive made it much more maneuverable and lightweight than its cousins.

The Jedi council and the few tag alongs for the diplomatic awaited outside the pelican rather patiently it seemed. Upon their approach they immediately perked up as the bay doors to the pelican began to roll down. Obi-wan was the first to greet them as he glanced over at Ahsoka. She was currently the victim of Master Windu's glare at the moment.

"Nice of you two to join us. I'm sure you are aware of our current task." Obi-Wan inquired.

"Yes sir. Me and Fox here will speak for the clones. As well as Cody. Though I don't see him with you all, or Therom?"

"Ah yes. Cody and Therom' just departed not too long ago. He had matters to attend to immediately and insisted Cody come along." Obi-wan frowned.

"Well then, I guess we should follow suit shouldn't we gener-I mean, master Jedi." Fox caught himself.

"Yes indeed. I do believe we are ready for departure." He replied as he turned his attention to the honor guard.

Nodding the two guards waited as everyone slowly piled into the pelican. Taking their seats and strapping in, bar Yoda who due to his size chose to rest on one of the guards shoulders. Much to the amusement of the other a low growl quickly silenced him. The two pilots upfront began their routine checks as the others could feel the Pelican thrum to life. Crewmen outside waived the pelican as it began to slowly ascend and make for the hangar exit.

"Command this is Trapper 1 beginning departure of Home Base with package in tow. Destination is Mother Base over?"

"Copy Trapper 1, Home Base reads you. You are clear to proceed to Mother Base. Tier 1 escorts are on station upon exit. Safe travels Trapper 1."

"Good read Home Base. Trapper 1 out. Enjoy the ride back there."

The pilot's voice reached back to the others as the pelican jostled slightly more. It had slowly hovered it's to the hangar exit and began to accelerate more upon exiting. Immediately after exiting an escort of fighters and drop-ships from both factions circled around the transport as it made its way to High Faith. The ride was quiet and uneventful besides blue squadron zooming past racing Alliance fighters. They quickly received a stern warning from Rex as the pelican and its escorts continued undeterred towards High Faith.

The clones and Jedi looked as best they could out the few viewports as they approached the superstructure. The Killamanjaro cruisers made their pelican seem insignificant as they approached the entrance to High Faith. Everyone had waited for this moment as they were curios and excited to see what awaited them.

"Mother Base this is Trapper 1 with package in tote. Requesting clearance?"

"Trapper 1 this is Mother Base you are clear welcome home."

"Read ya loud and clear Mother Base. Your new guests are gonna love this."

Ending the link between High Faith, the pilot left the flying to copilot as she unfastened herself from her seat. Rising up she nodded towards him before entering the rear with the others. She jumped as all eyes turned her immediately except for the Sangheili since they had been here numerous times

"woah. Too many eyes. Anyways you all are gonna love this. We're gonna pass through the security checkpoint in a second but once we're through…you'll see."

Turning on a heel she left the others in silence before they could even ask any questions. The Pelican continued to thrum until the pelican suddenly jerked to a halt. A humming noise reverberated throughout the Pelican. It increased in intensity before sounding a mildly annoying klaxon. The others were confused for only a moment before the bay doors immediately opened. A ODST in clad black armor stepped aboard before eyeing the Jedi.

"I'm sorry sirs but your energy swords will need to be handed over until your business on High Faith is complete. Its' just regulation. Your clones can keep their sidearms as officers. Just no funny business."

The Jedi were silent but understanding as they began to clip their many light sabers. He was at first overwhelmed as he began to juggle them slightly at the bemusement to some of the Jedi. Once he had them all gathered he nodded before exiting the pelican. The Jedi didn't show much disdain to relieving their weapons to the man though it was easy to tell they were slightly uncomfortable.

He left as quickly as he came as the pelican suddenly jerked forward again. The others noticed the bay doors were still open. They were beginning to ask questions until a light shined through blinding most of them. Covering their eyes they could hear so much noise as they heard traffic and millions of voices and horns down below. Ahsoka was the first to uncover her eyes as everyone behind her slowly followed suit. Her eyes widened as she viewed everything transpired below.

"Wow." Was all Ahsoka could voice as she and everyone stared below them.

Buildings towered above the streets as the artificial sun shined down onto the city streets. Civilian vehicles bustled down the streets back and forth as traffic horns and flashing lights raced down the alloy streets of High Faith. The sidewalks were covered as people of every species walked up and down sidewalks going about their daily business. And though airspace was a bit restricted since their arrival not even their skies were safe as civilian pelicans and other transports flew back and forth across the sky.

The Jedi and clones took in the sight that was high faith as it was magnificent. From shopping centers and schools to the obvious military stations away from all the commotion. The city reminded them much of Coruscant as they flew over the civilians going through their daily lives. Fox stared in awe as he watched so much happen below him he didn't even realize Rex had guided his eyesight to the most important building of them all. Their destination, the Council Sanctum. The building stood tall like a Spire as multiple of what could only be assumed to be pillars hovered the around the center of the structure. The others gasped as the light bridges became visible and people walked back and forth between pillars and the main spire as they towered over all around them. With gray markings and green lettering in Sangheili dialect the building shined as it stood atop a mound overlooking all of the city around it. It's view reached everything around it as sprouted from the ground in the middle of the city.

"It's very much like Coruscant" Obi-wan gasped.

"Beautiful it is" Yoda agreed.

Everyone else still had not regained their composure as they still took in everything around them. The Pelican, as it neared the sanctum, slowed to a crawl as it began to land street level in front of the massive building. The streets were crowded as it seemed a large mass of citizens came to watch the arrival of the Republic leaders and what they could possibly bring forth for the Alliance. Being held back by honor guards and simple barriers the people arrived in droves as it seemed most of High Faith had arrived to see them. Camera drones hovered over the Pelican as it landed buzzing to and fro to catch the best view of the leaders. Though alongside the civilians interested and excited were also the many wary of the Republic's presence and the affect their coming may have. Word had already gone public of what had happened to Traetov and outrage was the following emotion of the cynical protesters and vagrants. They jeered and booed the Pelican as It landed though honor guards focused more of their manpower specifically around them as the possible outcome if they were to get close to the leaders was risk that was not to be taken.

The pelican hovered over its desired landing zone as more and more civilians piled onto the streets. They watch from nearby buildings as sanctum phantoms, distinguished by their black painted armor, periodically swooped over ahead searching through the crowd and providing security. Guiding the pelican in the council drop-ships returned back to sweeping the crowd. The Jedi and Clones were slightly unnerved as the pelican landed. The multitude of voices drowned out much the few of them could hear. Rising up from his seat and helmet at his side Rex steeled himself as he stared the bay door of the pelican, waiting for it to open. The Jedi rose as well as they gathered behind the two clone commanders. Hobbling his way to the front, Yoda took the lead in front of them all as he closed his eyes in meditation. Their voice echoing off the walls, the pilot left with one last saying before large stomping could be heard heading towards the pelican. They could see a as a decent sized group of Sanctum guards marched towards the pelican.

"Sanctum guards are waiting for you all outside sirs. They'll escort you inside to the proceedings."

With that being Yoda was the first to hobble out of the Pelican leading everyone behind him. The light shined onto them as they took their first steps out on the Sanctum grounds. It seemed the voices and crowds energy doubled once they became visible. Aayla Secura looked around her in awe as the crowds voices got louder and louder as the black armored council guards circled around them. They closely resembled normal honor guards besides their all black armor and the ornate spikes that jutted from their helmet, shoulder pads, wrists bracers, as well as helmet that glowed a vibrant blue instead of the glowing orange. This armor combination was subject to most of those who had the honor of being a sanctum guard. This was also the only position that was strictly for Sangheili or Humans as the two species proceed to encircle the republic leaders. Stepping forward, a woman of the guard addressed the republic leaders.

"Pleasure to meet you all, the Alliance leaders and my sanctum guards welcome you."

"The pleasure is ours to be welcomed in your home. Thank you we do." Yoda bowed.

"I concur. I didn't think we would draw quite a crowd." Obi-Wan interjected.

"Well then let's not disappoint. You two with me. If you all will follow me I'll take you all to the council members, first timers always get lost in the Spire." The guardswoman joked.

Unsure of who she was referring to Fox noticed a looming shadow out the corner and quickly turned on his heel as eyed what it was looming over him. His shock garnered everyone else's attention as they too stared at the mechanical marvel that towered over them as it looked down on them with a somewhat quizzical look for a machine.

"Oh skrag." Fox was flabbergasted as he stared at the Alliance mech.

Standing on two armored legs and reaching up to nearly 19 feet in height the armored yggdrasil Mark X combat mech was a rare gem of the Alliance military. Its frame became thin throughout its torso before elongating into a large pod in the center of its body. Multiple smaller pods were connected to the main frame that contained not only its weapon systems but also its friend or foe sensor indicators and core as well as its processing unit for it's brain. Also known as the Mantis, the mantis was created specifically for combat as an evolution of an earlier model. It is equipped with several weapon and defense systems, including armor plating, energy shielding, two weapon pods on either side of the cockpit, and a stomp ability. The weapon pods typically contain a machine gun on the right pod and a five-shot rocket launcher on the left pod, but these can be replaced with other weapons. Ranging from energy blades to fuel rod cannons it had outgrown its previous models with many enhancements. It was also with this iteration that the mantis became a completely automated mech with top of the line friend or foe equipment and state of the art restricted artificial intelligence equipment to make tactical decisions on the fly. It was the pinnacle of the Alliance mechanized forces though it came at a price, a large one at that. It's production was too expensive and meticulous to make a combat drone of its status en masse. Instead only a select amount of them were even created let alone used in combat as they were too valuable to lose in the field. Because of this most if not all of the automated mechs were assigned too guarding key positions rather than be on the offensive.

The two mantises ,also coated black like the rest of the guard, stared down at the rest of the Republic forces as their scanners projected out of its frame like red beam. It shined all over them before it came to halt causing the mech to stand upright. A booming voice was heard as the mech proceeded to walk past them with it's companion in tow. Their top half rotating left and right between each crowd of people.

"Friendly forces recognized. Proceeding with protection detail. Alliance forces may proceed with escort of recognized republic forces. Mantis, codename fire-starter on stand by. Mantis, codename ,Sunstreak on standby."

"You Alliance guys never stop raising the bar" Ahsoka said in awe as the two mechs stomped past.

"Yea? We'll let us see how long we can impress. Follow me." The guardswoman requested.

Following behind her, the group proceeded as the honor guards kept back the civilians in their awe. Humans and Sangheili stared and looked on at them with curiosity as Unngoy cheered at their passing. Yanme' clicked and chittered as the hovered higher and higher to see while Kig-yar garbled and chirped at their passing. The few Jiralhanae present howled and roared the group proceeded past them though the most surprising response came from the most unexpected group.

"Are those…?" Shaak Ti asked in confusion.

"Mgalekgolo? Of course, strange not seeing them in their hulking forms huh? Don't worry it still gets to us too. Should of seen our faces when they first showed themselves like that. Thought we had encountered a subspecies. Though they kinda are. Sorta."

Alloyed hands clapped at the Republic forces approach as this group of spectators had the least amount of guards assigned to them and were the calmest of all their witnessing the proceedings. Standing at a average 7 feet tall clad head to toe in lightweight alloyed plating in a plethora of colors were the worm like race. Their current form was shocking to say the least after witnessing what they could do in their hulking forms in pairs.

During the I.S.A formation it was quickly assumed that after their long subjugation into the covenant that the Mgalekgolo didn't have the capacity to speak for themselves in a political manner and would strictly follow the Sangheili into the formation of this new coalition. Though the worm race garnered a large amount of respect for the warrior elites they refused during the forming years, for two whole years after the ending of the covenant war and the formation of the Alliance the others believed the hunters to have gone into hiding and returned to their world. It was not until the third year of no contact that they returned to the fold and with shocking news. There was more to the Mgalekgolo than even the prophets themselves knew. Playing a pivotal role as heavy weapons troops as well as the bioengineering and masters behind super weapons like the scarab it was believed the Mgalekgolo were only slightly intelligent and were only in this category had they formed into a hunter pair.

This was surprisingly not the case as hunters had more intelligence than was previously let on and discovered. For not far from their home world laid another planet hidden behind a veil of asteroids and gaseous formations that the true Mgalekgolo home world laid. Though they were still primitive to a degree compared to their subjugated cousins they were far more advanced and intelligent. Learning to even speak the Sangheili dialect most former covenant forces knew as well as form bodies that weren't hulking masses of worms. But instead formed more smaller and collected formations that instead could utilize brute strength were no different than most above average humans or adolescent Sangheili. Writing, construction, etc. The hunters returned to their forgotten home world to not only reconnect with their forgotten people but as well as unite as a unified species. Most still saw their role as heavy weapons and formed hunter pairs and the occasional trios though some choose peaceful lives of civilians or even as politicians of the worm-like race as their colonies that formed the larger formations became pods.

Calmly stepping past the barrier the two elite honor guards eyed the hunter pod but let it proceed as it approached the escort detail. They all stopped as the pod halted a short distance away from them. No weapons were trained as hunters were regarded throughout the I.S.A as the more docile of the Alliance regardless of it's feared reputation in combat. Sporting a slim figure, its ever moving collection of worms glistened in contrast to the white plating it wore for a body. From slender legs to thin frame to slim arms the Mgalekgolo took in the collection of people in front of it. It's neck and head could only be described as a thickened group of worms that extended out of the torso and visible for only a few inches before ending into a sort of capped helm similar to those seen on hunter pairs in combat. On this cap two sets of glowing green eyes were on each side while 2 spikes for sensing others presence also jutted from its back

It's 'voice' was soothing as it vibrated and carried a higher pitch one would say a female might have in her speech. She bowed in respect before returning to the crowd of civilians thankful of her opportunity to speak

"This pod welcomes you to my home."

Moving on the group then reached the steps of the grand Sanctum as the continued to sightsee and take in everything around them. The civilians' roars were slowly beginning to be drowned out as they neared the entrance of the spire. Inside the resemblance to the inside of the Jedi Temple was uncanny as statues were erected of hero. More honor guards and sanctum guards were set in place all throughout the main hall as the grand pillars of the inner working of the spire stretched to the sky.

Council members of each species passed them by, each time garnering them a glance before continuing on with their business. Guards here and there eyed them as well but said nothing as they proceed through the main hall and onto the gravity lift elevator. Piling on the group was still quite as the rode the elevator to what assumed to be the top of the spire. On their way up the walls tapered off into glass as they could see the city all around them for miles. They were astounded by the view as the elevator took them higher and higher. Yoda stared down at the city below him with a grimace before turning his to the approaching floor. Everyone else did as well as the elevator slowed to a halt in front of humming energy door. With a flick of her wrist the guard dissipated the energy shield and guided the others forwards into what seemed like a gathering room. Inside the room was no else besides the tall for of Therom' as he leaned next to a wall conversing with Commander Cody. Taking quick notice of their entrance Cody quickly approached his brothers while Therom approached the sanctum guards. Ahsoka noticed oddly that even the sanctum guards regarded him with respect as they bowed in his presence.

Rex and Cody hugged one another while shaking Fox's hands firmly with a grin on his face.

"Boy aren't you lousy mugs a sight." Cody bellowed.

"Us? What about you? Disappearing? Not telling us what you're doing or where you're going? If I knew any better I'd say you were taking after me. I always knew I was a role model for you." Rex joked.

"In your dreams maybe. Though I did have to attend to other matters." He said without giving away too much information.

"What kind of matters?" Fox asked with an eyebrow

Cody glanced around slightly uncomfortable before speaking.

"The kind that-" Before he could finish his sentence he was cut off as the marching of footsteps was heard. The group turned to witness the entrance of a large column of sanctum guards as it would seem the representatives of each race entered the room. Clad in Silver armor and donning the ever common councilor head piece the Sangheili representatives were the first to enter as there was surely no more than thirty of them. Male and Female the councilors paid little attention to the republic leaders as they began to enter the Council Chambers. Trailing close behind them were none other than the Jiralhanae people as well as Korvius. He was massive, even for a brute, standing at eleven feet tall he dwarfed the various other jiralhanae and few Sangheili that were unfortunate enough to stand next to him. Donning the ornate armor of a war chieftain, it was coated in a bright golden color as he shined and stood out from the other brutes among him. His dreads flowed freely from under his helmet as their white color cashed with his Jet black color. His form was to be reckoned with as it seemed his armor struggled to contain his mass as he rippled with enormous amounts of strength. Running down both his eyes were two deep gashes possibly from battle as his face was as battle-hardened as it was soft. He had eyed the Republic leaders upon his entrance had said no words. With a snort in their direction and a grunt towards his followers he entered the council chambers well. His entrance was followed by the Kig-yar dressed in robes and ceremonial garbs with the small Unngoy by their sides. Their methane canisters colored a bright orange hue with golden markings they followed by the Kig-Yar's side. Mgalekgolo pods, informed to others to just be called Lekgolo, entered as well their body armors a pure white with many markings in Sangheili dialect a translucent purple and green mix. They were the only race to actually acknowledge the Jedi and clones upon entering and conversed with them momentarily before entering the council room as well. Though the most surprising to the bunch was the entrance of the Yanme' . Instead of a large group of the bug like creatures only two entered resembling Yanme' on a much larger scale. Bulker in mass and size the two queens entered into the room supported a moderately sized gravity platform. Due to their size and bulk they are hardly capable of supporting themselves during most political situations and are restricted in most terms of movement less they cause much structural damage. Sizing up to be no bigger than that of a adolescent Mgalekgolo there presence was sizable and noticeable. Their carapace color had waned from the light green of most drones and works and had become a darkish hue signifying their age and status. Though not be construed with any other queen atop their heads sat massive ornate headpieces similar to the ones wore by Sangheili councilors. The carapace was hard as it was beautiful as it was coated in what seemed to be a lightweight alloy and colored a Jet black with significant markings coated in orange. Words like 'queen' and 'birth giver' were a few of the markings meanings carved into the carapace. They clicked and chittered to each other, their large pincer like appendages erratic in movement. Their green eyed slits turned to the republic leaders as well, narrowing in thought before proceeding into the council room as well. Lastly was the human race, entering in suits and royal dresses the political men and women eyed the clones and Jedi, specifically the human members, with wide eyes before conversing with one another and entering the council room.

"I do believe we are one of the more important topics today, don't you agree Ahsoka?" Obi-wan assumed as he straightened his beard in his usual thinking manner.

Ahsoka rolled her eyes as she placed her hands on her hips. She glanced at Cody and Rex who shrugged with grins on their faces as Fox rolled his eyes.

"Gee I wonder what makes you think that Master."

"Just an observation" He said with a slight smugness too it.

Yoda smiled at their interaction before his attention was turned to the last two people before the meeting could proceed.

"He's not wrong to think that ya know." A voice called out.

The culprit of the voice being none other than President Silverman she was dressed in a simple but orderly dress as she spoke to the group. Seeing her in person, they could not say she was sight to see. While a measly 5ft and 9 inches tall she made up for it in good looks. Her dress was a bright blue with the encrusted studs throughout it. Many of them shined a pearly white though there quite a few that were green and blue on her dress. Her skin was soft tan as she carried not a wrinkle on her body. He frame was slender as it was magnificent, though not exactly an hourglass , she was fairly close to a model frame. She had a sweet smile on her face has her pink lips pursed into a thin smile. Her eyes were a deep blue as her hair was a calm brown. She regarded the Republic leaders with a nod before turning her attention back to Yoda. She regarded him with a bow before addressing them all.

"It's good to see you all made it in one piece. I'm glad I could have you all here. GrandMaster Yoda it is a pleasure."

Regarding him with the title out of respect, the little green Jedi responded to the Human leader with a kind smile as he waved her off with his hand. He turned to the side to also introduce his fellow Jedi and clone as well.

"The pleasure is mine. To meet one so graceful as you. Jedi, my students, these are. Clone commanders, these are, to represent them as well."

With a sweep of his hand he motioned for all the Jedi and clones to come forth as he gestured to them all. The present Jedi nodded and said their curt greetings as the clone acknowledged her with a quick salute as she eyed each and every one of them. She turned on a heel to be quickly in the face of a rather troublesome Elite. Nearly bumping into Therom' she cursed out of shock, a rude thing to do in front guests she thought, before playful slapping Therom on his shoulder. Not even feelings it through his armor he regarded her with a kind small before slightly kneeling to be at his level.

"I have returned." He said with a solemn voice.

Silverman placed a hand on his chest as his eyes dared to not meet hers. Her hand trailed up his body staring from his chest, to his neck, to his cheek. His mandibles open slightly as to speak though no word came out as he was silent under her touch. The others were unsure of the interaction between the two until she placed a quick kiss on his forehead. The cold steel of his armor did not bother her as if it wasn't even there before taking Therom' into a hug. Her voice was quite though only a few could pick on what she said.

"My son…welcome home." She said in low whisper.

||||||| watch?v=Rpu8u4ghZ2E ||||||| Second Prelude

Letting him leave her embrace Silvermans mood seemed to have changed as she quickly motioned for the others to follow her inside the chambers. Therom' nodded towards Cody and the others and before taking his leave. Cody eyed him the longest as he left before being dragged along by his brothers into the grand room. The best way to describe it was a large bowl of sorts or that of a coliseum as each species and their representatives and had long taken their seats and encircled the republic leaders as they entered. Each species sat as one as the republic forces entered the encirclement. The focus of attention , they continued inward until they reach a small gathering of seats undoubtedly for them. Further past, Silverman continued past until sitting on a large throne of sorts of three different sizes. Taking her seat in the middle and smallest of the three. One on her left was quickly take by the large mass of Korvius as he sat with a grunt but a quick bow to Silverman who returned it in kind. The second seat on the right of her was empty until the owner of it walked past the group with a word. Donning his Golden Kaidon armor, Each Sangheili representative as well some from each species cheered upon his arrival. He was a leader to them all during the covenant war and never stopped being that even after the Schism and they lacked guidance and vision. He fought alongside the dreaded demon, the master chief, to bring and to Truth's psychotic reign and stopped him from activating the halo killing them all. The one to silence Truth as well silence the last throes of the now late covenant. This particular elite was regarded with as much respect as that given to a certain hyper-lethal Spartan. He, was Thel Vadum.

He quickly took his seat with brief nod and bow towards Korvius and a smiled as he approached Silverman. She caressed his hand as he passed before taking his seat next to her. The other council members, upon his arrival began to take their seats as well. The republic leaders also began to seat themselves as the meeting began to proceed. Council guards entered the room and took up position all over the hall before the door to the hall was shut and guarded. The Arbiter raised his clawed hand as he rose to spoke. His voice boomed and bounced off the walls of as he spoke. Some camera drones hovered silently over him as the proceedings were broadcasted all over High Faith and the Alliance network.

"People of the Alliance, long have we each thought for ourselves what lurks beyond the stars. Long have we looked up and wondered what awaited us among the stars. Each of us, from one race to another, always wondered what we would find if we were to reach out. Reach out past our baser instincts and yearn for something more. Yearn for more than we believed possible. We've all seen the records. From the dawn of time to the present our species have been among the stars, finding new worlds to call home, so that we may escape our true natures. But among that yearning we found, or were found, to be not the only ones reaching out. It was when we each were found by the bastard prophets that we learned there was more than just ourselves in the galaxy. It was under their rule that each of us came into contact with one another. Some willingly, and others by force. It was under their rule that we learned of the Forerunners and our great pasts. We once ruled the stars long before we, ourselves, even knew. History and the stars itself were written by the forerunners…and by us. Yet it was also under the prophets we came to find Humanity and in our hubris, in our blind devotion, we struck them down. Cast them out as the prophets saw them as an affront to the Forerunners we so worshipped. Unknowing of the truth, clueless to the lies, that humanity, like us, was another one reaching out, yearning for more among the stars. We all remember the conflict, the battles, some of us still carry those scars today…but from that conflict a new hope arose. Our minds cleared of the prophets lies we sought out each other, this time not under the oath or pact of the religious covenant. No, we sought each other out in hopes for survival. The covenant may have been our largest folly but in it's ashes it remains true that it taught us one lesson. Our unity. Our unity was something that could be unmatched and unrivaled and at the betterment of ourselves and our people we sought each other once more. Once more did we call upon each other not for a 'great journey' but for a peace. For a guaranteed future and survival for all our species. I remember it all vividly…yet here we stand again on the cusp of our search for more and we have encountered a new variable. An unforeseen one. Again have we come to learn that we are not the only ones reaching out? Here before you, stands the remnant of government that stood for the same ideals we stand for. Cast out, forgotten, and betrayed these beings ran from their aggressors and into us. I can only inform you all of so much, fill in the gaps, but is within their plight that we may set off a chain of events that of which the galaxy has never seen. I implore you all to listen to them.

Cody leaned over to Rex as Thel' Vadum, the arbiter and high kaidon of the elites, had finished his monologue.

"Good with words isn't he?" Cody jested.

"Yea seems he carries a lot of weight around here. Listen up the Jedi are speaking." Rex hushed. Leaning back he glanced over at Fox who was intently listening and he could swore was even archiving information on a datapad. When he decided to that was beyond him. The Jedi were even more so quiet as well sparing quick but abrupt conversations between one another.

Grandmaster Yoda and Obi-wan proceed to take a stand and step away from the rest of the group as they became the center of attention. The other councilmembers were quiet though whispers and mumbling could be heard as Korvius raised his furred hand calming the voices. Hobbling by Obi-Wan's side Yoda paused in thought as he griped his cane. Closing his eyes in meditation briefly he sighed as spoke outward.

"Appreciative I am of the Alliance's hospitality." Yoda thanked.

"The thanks is unnecessary Grandmaster. Now tell us, what has brought you all before us." Korvius requested.

"Yes. Yes. Members of the Galactic Republic we are. Grandmaster of the Jedi I am. Peacekeepers we were at a time but turned to generals we have during our war against the dark side of the force and the separatists. Aiding us are the soldiers of the republic, the clone army, faithful friends and allies they have been. Our lives in their hands they were. Perished we would have had they not intervened." Yoda summarized.

The Arbiter leaned back as he pondered and the other council members conversed.

"Yes you informed of this already before the invasion of Traetov though many details and explanations were left out. What exactly is a Jedi and what was your republic? Who are these separatists so and on?"

Obi-Wan stepped forward proceeding to handle the much larger explanations as Yoda hobbled back to his seat next to Master Windu and Ahsoka.

"I am Master Obi-Wan Kenobi of the Jedi council. We Jedi date back long before the formation of the Republic a federal parliamentary government comprising of thousands of worlds across the galaxy. This government was comprised of over thousands of senators from each planet, also known as the Galactic Senate. Among this as well was the Supreme Chancellor, who was chosen from among the senate to represent the Republic as a whole. This man, was known as Chancellor Palpatine, who governed from the world of Coruscant, the home world of the Republic and Galactic Senate, as well as the home of the Jedi Temple."

More mumbling and conversing resumed as the council members the short amount of which Obi-wan had given them.

"And this Republic came from I'm assuming was not all just one species judging from your own ranks." Silverman observed.

"No ma'am. The Republic consisted of over hundreds of different species from different planets. Each of them being sentient."

"Interesting. Continue." Korvius grunted.

"We Jedi are an ancient order of protectors united by their ability to harness the power of the Force. Adhering to a doctrine that favored the light side of the Force, the Jedi aspired to attain a state of inner tranquility through calmness and meditation while avoiding emotions affiliated with the dark side of the Force, such as anger and hatred. Nevertheless, Jedi philosophy did not forbid a Jedi from acting in self-defense or in the defense of others. To that end, the weapon of a Jedi was the light saber, a blade composed of pure energy and different colors such as blue, green, purple or yellow. For thousands of generations the Jedi have been the protectors of peace and justice throughout the many years of the Republic."

"And this force you speak of? What is it?" Korvius had grown interested at this point as he had never believed he would hear such a thing. He leaned forward interest as the rest of the council shared is intrigue less earnestly.

"You see, the force is what gives a Jedi his power. It is an energy field created by all living things that surrounds us, penetrates us and binds the galaxy together. The Living Force represented the energies of all life forms, and those energies were fed into the Cosmic Force that bound the galaxy together and communicated to individuals through the midi-chlorians, microscopic, sentient life forms that shared a symbiotic relationship with the Force—in their blood. Though only certain individuals were Force-sensitive, the Force resided within all living things and could be extracted. Because of this, Force-sensitive users could feel a "disturbance in the Force" whenever there was a great loss of life. With the force the Jedi can do numerous feats some think not possible from Mind reading, to telekinesis, and even enhancing our physical attributes such as speed."

This information brought the proceedings into an uproar as the council argued over what he said was true or not. Lifting objects with your mind and such was something out of a child's dream but here this man stood telling them there a collection of beings that could perform these feats whenever they could. Silverman furred her brow as she stared at Obi-Wan. He kept a calm and collected face even in spite of all the jeering as he spoke with the utmost truth.

"Well Master Obi-Wan either you've got the best poker face in the galaxy or you're telling the truth. But be that as it may some us find this hard to believe. Can you perhaps demonstrate?"

"Why of course though I do believe you may want to hold on to your seat." Obi-Wan replied.

Before she could ask why Obi-Wan closed his eyes raising a hand towards Silverman. The council broke out into an uproar as even the guards station stared shocked. Korvius leaped from his chair in shock as he gazed off at Silverman. He was speechless as he struggled to make sure he was seeing this truly. Thel's face was one of brooding as he calmly watched Silverman. Though she herself was quite unsure what the shock was until she looked down. There she was hovering a few feet off the ground still in her chair as Obi-Wan had lifted it with her. Too say she was shocked was an understatement as Obi-wan slowly lowered her back to the ground. With a soft thump, Obi-wan opened his eyes again as the council air dead silent. Korvius leaned back in seat palming his head as he took in what he had just seen. His gaze met Master Yoda's as he spoke in an exhausted tone.

"And this is a power for you trained Jedi?"

Yoda chuckled slightly as he shook his head.

"Beginners technique that is. Most younglings and children of the force can perform such a feat without training yes."

Korvius' eyes widened as he mumbled children to himself. The demonstration of the Jedi's powers was a sight to behold and one most people even in the Republic went their whole lives without witnessing yet here they were demonstrating to an entire government.

Silverman cleared her throat as she asked for quiet once again in the main hall

"Well then, how do you locate beings are who are more inclined to the force than others.

"More chance than anything else. Though a Jedi can sense when a being is force sensitive. In fact most of your species have a natural affinity to the force as the Jedi Council and I have come to realize. Though how strong this bond is with the force is hard to tell."

Silverman's thoughts stopped in their tracks as well as the rest of the council as Thel's eyes narrowed. He was curious of this.

"Master Obi-wan are you implying these same feats can be formed by our races as well?"

"With proper training it seems very likely. Yes." He said matter-of-fact.

Silverman folded her arms as she raised an eyebrow at Obi-Wan.

"Well Master Obi-Wan you've impressed me there. Though there's still some we don't know. You mentioned a dark side of the force? As well as a war?"

The serious air returned to the council at the mentioning of war. War was something they were all too familiar with. Clasping his hands behind his back, Obi-Wan regained the attention of the council once again as he divulged to them this important information

"Just like how the light side represents calmness, knowledge and defense. The dark side is the exact opposite. Individuals who used the dark side draw their power from more intense and raw emotions such as fear anger and hatred. The dark sides of the force and those who utilize its power, sith, have been around for as long as the Jedi have existed and are the mortal enemies of us Jedi. Even us Jedi who are taught to follow the light can fall prey to the dark side as it is considered seductive and we must maintain vigilance not to fall into its clutches. Many Jedi have fallen victim to it before…even my own apprentice. It because of the Sith and their trickery that we are here. It was a sith lords machinations that begun the Clone Wars and the formation of the Separatists. The separatists were a partially recognized galactic government that controlled a portion of the Mid Rim and Outer Rim Territories. Formed by thousands of secessionist star systems on the grounds of excessive taxation and corruption within the Galactic Senate, the Separatists were led by the former Jedi turned sith Count Dooku, who served as the Alliance's Head of State. In addition the Separatists were secretly supported by several corporations, including the Trade Federation, the Techno Union, the Retail Caucus, the InterGalactic Banking Clan, the Commerce Guild, and the Corporate Alliance. We believed it was his machinations and his alone that caused these chain of events though we were very wrong. He was just an apprentice to someone far more powerful. Invoking fear and terrorizing planets with his droid armies it was up to the Jedi to uphold the peace and stop him. Though we Jedi are not war mongers and cannot go up against armies regardless of what rumors people may spread of us. Backed into a corner, we had exhausted all our options that is until the creation and arrival of the clone army. Created on the planet Kamino and run by the intelligent Kaminoans an order for their production was placed by a Jedi who had long since gone missing. We believed this to his last work before his death and proceeded to utilize these clones. And thus begun the Clone war, though I believe the clones themselves should speak on this matter. Come forward you three.

With a gesture towards Rex, Fox, and Cody the three clones were quickly thrown into the spotlight before hurriedly moving to Obi-Wan's side. Standing at attention with helmets clipped to their sides the clones stared straight ahead as Obi-Wan introduced them. They did their best to ignore the murmurs and whispers among the council as they were inspected by eye from every Alliance representative in the room. The Arbiter rose from his as he approached the clones. Guards nearby tensed as he approached in case of any danger but the clones showed none as they stared straight forward.

"Yes. Clones. There was much from the data you sent us originally we were not able to understand though if there was one thing we were able to grasp. It was your clone army. Cloned from a single bounty hunter from warrior like culture and people. You choose to replicate his skills in combat on a larger scale for force that could perfectly overpower a droid army. Raised from an accelerated growth chamber and trained for nothing but war you sought to create the perfect soldier. Uncaring of their mysterious arrival you fought side by side these clones that have not only shown remarkable conduct in battle but aspects and emotions of a man. Men who sacrificed, Men who had beliefs, Men who wanted a purpose beyond war…We've read the files, observed the acts of valor shown by you clones. Legion of soldiers all the same until allowed individuality. Legion colors, names, free will, you clones have proven your worth to the Jedi time and time again and have fought by their side with honor. Yet…there is a underlying secrecy, a dark side if you will of you clones. Too controlled, too much underlying loyalty, that the soldiers you all put so much faith into were also your downfall. Brainwashed to follow all orders from this Chancellor, they're free will and thinking was luck on a larger scale for the Jedi and their survival. You all were slaves, from the very beginning…Until the end you were slaves to a republic that cared little for you besides the Jedi. Though here are now with your clone army fractured and splintered after following this 'order 66' without question. Turning on their once greatest allies and friends for a man they had never met. What say you clone? What do you believe?"

The murmurs and cries rose up in unison as all eyes were the clones that could be a betrayal waiting to happen at any time. Ahsoka almost rose to speak for them but Master Yoda kept her back with a shake of his hand. The clones needed to stand for themselves this time. They were independent men that fought for the Jedi now but their voice and wants carried just as much weight as the Jedi's now. They were both strangers in this world, gone were the policies they were use too. Rex clenched his fist before stepping forward towards Thel'. Guards moved to stop him, their Energy pikes and assault rifles in hand but a wave of Thel's hands kept them back. Arms clasped behind his back Rex and Thel' stared at each other eye as there was a slight tension in the air. Fox and Cody watched worriedly as Rex's attitude could be a little more 'explosive' than theirs given the right triggers.

"I thought the same as you when I first became part of the army. I was just another clone in an army doing my duty to the Republic and Chancellor and if I were to die I know I did my duty. I've seen many battle and watched countless battles where my brothers died and never returned. Their voices still haunt me to this day. Every day I lost someone important to me as I watched clones, no, men gunned down every day in war that politically made no sense me. Everyday someone I cared died, these men, my brothers, are the most important thing to me in this universe. They are my family, my team, my home. In war against the separatists, we all had to make sacrifices, Heavy, Fives, Echo…Thorn, Keeli, Fil. I remember them all. Their voices, their personalities, and their differences. Each clone in this Army was never the same. All we shared were the same face and same blood beyond that I see us all as unique. War did not come with a guarantee. None of us were guaranteed safety or security on the battlefield. But we earned our spots on the battlefield, showed the galaxy why us clones were a force to be reckon with and that if you were to cross us you better be a big blaster. The war changed us all. We thought it would never come to an end. But with the death of figurehead count Dooku we believed the conflict to draw to a close surely. But that day haunts my dreams and thoughts even now. You are correct that we do have a selection of orders, which if given by the chancellor, are to be followed without and question which included the murder of the Jedi. You all know what happened, read the logs; we clones choose to fight for something we believed was right and gave our lives to protect the Jedi and their culture. We escaped with them, knowing of our treachery and were brought here on your doorstep. The…the republic is no more. And we clones without purpose or direction. I stand before you and speak for all my brothers when I say we need your help."

The staring match between Rex and Thel' had continued throughout his entire account. The war through the eyes of a clone was sad and unfortunate tale, one filled with sorrow as the Republic leaders shared his same sentiments. The Jedi had always sought more for the clones and their futures. Going out of their way to make sure each clone felt like individual in this grand army rather than another number designation. Fox and Cody had straightened themselves throughout Rex's account as what he said was true from their eyes and from most clones. The council was quiet during his account their murmurs and whispers seizing up as they listened. Thel' continued to stare at Rex for a moment until his face softened. Placing a clawed hand outward he held it in front of him towards Rex. Rex eyed the hand with confusion.

"Is not customary…to shake the hand of those you respect?"

Reaching out with his own hand Rex shook Thel's hand before being asked one final question.

"What is it you and your clones seek…Captain Rex?"

"A home…sir. A purpose. That's all we've ever wanted."

Walking away Rex took his place next Fox and Cody again as the nodded towards him. He felt their respect, and admiration towards as even the Jedi sent him approving glances. Ahsoka shot him a soft smile as he winked back at the young Jedi before turning his attention back to the council. Thel' had not moved from his previous spot as he beckoned Yoda forth. Hobbling on his cane, Master Yoda's puny form took place in front of Thel' as he looked up to see him.

"And what of you Grandmaster Jedi? Do you seek the same?"

"Asylum and protection we seek. A home from the forces of our once home we seek. Much I am asking of you I understand. War may follow us here as well and we will rise up to protect as we always have."

Therom' kneeled down to be Yoda's level as he eyed him and his group behind him. His eyes scanned each of them before turning back to Yoda.

"War has already followed you Grandmaster."

Yoda bowed his head and closed his eyes as he feared the worst of this meeting. The others behind them were worried as well as they believed they weren't going to receive any help or aid from the Alliance.

"Apologize I do. Never the intent it was to bring our war to you."

Thel' continued to eye Yoda before turning his head around the council members above him. He eyed each and every species as they were silent. If they had any doubts or any silent opposing views they didn't voice them. None said a word as he turned his form back towards Korvius and Silverman. A Brisk nod from him and soft smile from her was all he needed as he turned back towards Yoda.

"Fortunate for you we are no strangers to war." He said smugly.

"We will help you and your Republic Grandmaster. As I said war has already followed you here and if what you say is true about this Chancellor being the mastermind of your downfall. Then I believe housing you or not he will come. Though he has never faced us before, never seen what we have survived. I have fought with honor, endured the brand of shame, and dealt out vengeance. Even on the threshold of oblivion I did not waiver as I freed our peoples, silenced the false truth, faced the all-consuming parasite. We did not waiver in these adversaries presence either has we fought with a common goal and common interest in survival. Your Chancellor, This emperor, threatens that survival and if he must be silenced by my own hand then so be it. Though I ask those today of the council who will stand and fight?"

The councilors voices roared at the approval of war under the Arbiters decree as Korvius chuckled and Silverman steeled her face.

"This emperor has already invaded one of our worlds, he shall not harm another. Speak with her and Korvius they'll handle the rest. I must speak with an old friend."

Nodding, Yoda hobbled back to the rest of the Jedi a slight happiness and relief in the air among the Jedi and Clones. Thel' swiftly exited the Meeting Hall with a collection of guards in tow as they ignored the calls for war. Korvius rose from his seat as did Silverman as they approached the Republic remnant leaders. Silverman glanced around at the still emotional council members as Korvius folded his arms in wait.

"Well you've got them riled up good job on that one."

Ahsoka who had been quiet up to this point laughed as she watched all around her the council members' cries.

"This is them riled up? I'd hate to see them angry"

"Well let's make sure that never happens. Anyways, much is to be done. I'm sure you all remember the information received the captured star destroyer. Your emperor only gave us a few years before he marches into our territory and I agree with Rex's sentiment. He better be carrying a big weapon. But none of that matters. Now is the time to prepare. We only have a few years and the Alliance may be prepared but you all in your current condition don't stand a chance."

The Jedi and clones agreed as they were currently living off limited resources and manpower no matter if they had a sizeable amount of it. They needed a place to call home so that they may recover and train their forces for the new and upcoming conflict. Korvius pulled a projector off his side as it projected a lush planet. Silverman nodded as Korvius presented the planet to the Clones and Jedi.

"This planet is Relkor. One of the newest joint species colony planets. It's still developing so your arrival won't cause much concern. The southern hemisphere of the planet has been terraformed but not colonized due to the current population there being rather low. It lies in the inner realm close to Sangheilios. It is here that you will make your stay and adjust. The arbiter requested that you stay with Therom' until you reach this planet. We may have aligned with you but there is still much to be done if we are to face a war alongside you all. Therom's people will adjust you all and keep you informed of events until we can work out political matters for you all as well as military. As of now you may not be civilians of the Alliance but you will be under our care and treated as such until much is figured out. A large fleet has already been assigned to this planet many of them my pack. They will protect you."

Silverman took the projector out of her hands as the she made sure everyone could see and hear her requests as she pointed to key points on the planet.

"This planet will be your staging ground. I apologize that we could not do more for you though you've come at a rather busy time for us. Colonizing efforts have been on the rise and planet after planet has been slightly populated if possible. Take all your ships here and perform whatever tasks you can prepare. The populace there currently is mainly armed forces. They will help you construct fortifications and structures to accommodate you all. Go there and establish yourselves. In time we will request all of your presence again. There is much to do prepare for a war."

She leaned down as she placed the projector of the planet in Yoda's hands. Clasping one his hands on hers he nodded with a smile as he turned to lead his Jedi and clones out of the council hall.

"In your debt we are. Thank you I do" He said.

Taking the others with them, they proceeded to exit the hall without much else word. The meeting while lengthy had been one of great learning as they assessed slightly the threat they were up against. The discussion of war was a major topic throughout all of the Alliance but one that was met with open arms. Ever since the invasion of Traetov went public the people had called for war long before the Republic had arrived. Silverman saw this as a win-win situation as it made it easier for them to accept and combat the Chancellor, now turned emperor off revenge rather than pity for another. Little did they know there was more than they needed to know at play to allow these events to happen. Silverman and Korvius stuck around discussing much with the other council members until they had all begun to slowly leaving just her and Korvius. The guards awaited outside as the stomping of hoofs trailed the entrance of Thel' once again. Silverman nodded as they all addressed one another from the prying eyes of the people.

"Well that went well. The call to war was mainly answered due to Traetov. Had it not happened I don't think they would have been so inclined."

Korvius huffed as he stared towards nothing in particular on the ceiling of the hall.

"Yes. Though it is a shame we had to guide them to the world. The loss of life was greater than anticipated. The council wouldn't understand. They haven't seen what we've seen. Know what we know. The threat this Emperor and his armies impose is far greater than our want to be neutral.

The arbiter hummed in thought as he slowly agreed with Korvius.

"Were it so easy…Yes the world needed to be taken if were to have a reason to even join this conflict. The republic doesn't know we've been watching events unfold in their galaxy for much longer than they have been led on. If they were to find out their faith in us as well as the faith in the council would be tarnished. Sacrificing a planet all for reason to start a war?"

Silverman placed a soft hand on his face as she eyed him sorrowfully. His demeanor calmed under her touch as she quelled his and Korvius' thoughts.

"Yes but like Korvius said they don't know what we have learned. Our spies have watched their world events for some time and strangely enough some of them have gone dark. They have reported they are being hunted by someone or something and they little idea who. I've given them the order to pull out for now. We've gotten what we wanted. And we know more than we ever could need."

Korvius huffed as he tightened his wrist bracers and removed his chieftain helmet.

"And what of the republic?"

Her eyes narrowed as she turned towards Korvius. Her voice was serious and laced with venom as she spoke.

"They must never know. If they learn then everything we have strived for here will have been for nothing.

"Surely they will find out on their own."

"And I hope this war is long over when they do. We were the reason order 66 happened. They mustn't learn of that"

On that note Silverman exited the chamber swiftly. Korvius and Thel' glanced at each other before sighing and following her as well. The chamber doors sealed and the lights powered down leaving the room in darkness.

Far away from the High Faith on an unknown planet someone had been watching the whole proceedings as well as the conversation between Silverman and others. He wasn't out of his jurisdiction it as right to know what he was training his soldiers for at least. Hopefully Silverman wouldn't be too mad. The last time he got caught spying on stuff he shouldn't know she told his closest friend many of his secrets. That was a low moment for him even if he didn't care too much. A light shined next to him signaling the arrival of said closest friend as she had watched the meeting with him.

"Huh. Thel' was always one for speeches wasn't he?" she said

"Yea at least after the war ended he was." He said with a gritty voice.

"Well he didn't get it from you master of silence." She joked.

All the she got in response was an affirmative grunt as the man turned off projector screen. His feet stomped on the metal floor as his armor's movement carried weight behind it.

"So what now? We prepare?"

"Of course." He responded curtly.

"No crazy hair-brained plans that may result in our deaths or even the annihilation of all life?" she asked.

"Depends. Is it Tuesday?" he joked.

"One, no its Friday, and two you're crazy." She laughed.

"Didn't you like crazy?" he questioned.

"Fortunately for you, I do." She joked.

Coruscant

June 16, 19BBY

A hooded figure was on his way back to his chambers as he had just left a recent meeting with the Senate. He had informed them that over the past few days a lot has occurred that he sure they were curious about. He declared as he appointed the Jedi filth he so hated as traitors to the Republic and that they're lies and deceit and even caused some clones to defect with them.

At first he was ridiculed and there was disbelief amongst them that were protectors were evil. He produced a lie that they Jedi were trying to overthrow both the Republic and Separatists in their weakened states because of the war and they bought it. They quickly turned their beliefs on the Jedi and regarded them as scum quicker and easier than he had anticipated. Though with the Senate and Most of the Republic and Separatist planets now under his control his design and plan seemed to be back on track even if enacted a little early. He had acquired the Chosen one and turned him to the dark side just as he wanted and currently had him hunting many remaining Jedi. He had turned the now complete Republic into the Empire he had envisioned and began the process of not only strengthen his forces with designs he had kept during the Clone war but as well as increased the current clone production to fill in the gaps as well as recruit regular civilians into the army. The clones had taught him a valuable lesson that their loyalty to him wasn't guaranteed. A lesson that he had originally overlooked. He hadn't expected the clone forces bonds with the Jedi to be larger than the brainwashing they had been subjected to and overcome them. A mistake he surely wouldn't let happen again.

Entering his office in the Senate building he took his chair as he pondered in thought. Though his plans had went off with minor inconveniences there were larger ones afoot. First was the state Anakin now turned Vader. He was sent to Mustafar to eliminate the remaining CIS leaders and though he did accomplish this he was found near death there. If it wasn't for his tie to the Dark side and his life fading to be sensible he would have never known he was in danger. Yet he did and rushed there to find Anakin near death with cuts and wounds that mimicked a light-saber but seemed off. The meeting of this so called Alliance was one thing that was largely unexpected as well. Even proving mightier than some his imperial forces he would soon alert the people to their presence as well as the declaration of war on them for harboring the Jedi and clones. Though they had also learned of his existence so he gave them time. Time to prepare he told them and while this is somewhat true as he needed time to reign in everyone under his rule orderly it was mainly time to prepare his deadliest weapon.

A communicator on his desk hummed as a figure he was familiar with appeared.

"What have you learned?" he asked.

"Most definitely spies. Killed 3 that were watching me. Though before I could get anything off the bodies I was attacked by a large group of them. They blinded me and took of the bodies. Cowardly worms."

"keep searching we must know more about this Alliance if we are to combat it. Thy stand in the way of my design and this cannot be allowed. They have interfered more than enough and I believe they are more related to strange occurrences than we realize. I enacted my order due to being followed by spies and I believed it to be the Jedi discovering me but it may have been them all along"

"yea I'll make sure they don't interfere as long as I get paid. What of you, how will you prepare for this war or whatever?"

The figure palmed his hands together as he cackled in his office.

"I will handle all preparations. Continue as you will."

Shutting off the projector he contacted someone who believed to still be alive. He was sent into hiding after the learning of Dooku's death and was almost discovered had he not enacted order 66 earlier than he had planned.

His form appeared as kneeled. He spoke submissively as he awaited his orders.

"What is thy bidding my lord." He said with a cough

"General. The time has come. Return to Coruscant at once. There is much to be done."

"Yes my lord." He said as his form disappeared.

The hooded figure clasped his hands as he cackled in his office. His plans may have been altered due to unforeseen events but he was sure that everything would continue as planned. After all he had given them time to prepare so he could as well. He would be vigilant but he expects little of this measly Alliance. Their time would soon come and come it will.

Woo there ya go. Mega chapter for you all. So I know I said wanted chapters to be only 5000 words but let me tell you that political dialogue and unimportant stuff such as city descriptions and such is hard as hell as to write. So in the middle of writing this I said screw it and decided I didn't want to break this chapter up. It was fun to write as ya know I'm building the world more but again is still a massive ass pain to write mainly dialogue without any descriptions so I do apologize for the wait. But alongside 15,000 words I basically wrote you all a large chapter or three in 1. However you want to look at it. In the last bit with Palpatine I did kinda retrace my previous steps to explain events that were unexplained at first as too give you all a bit more clarity. Not much to say in this after text though besides I do hope you all enjoy. Sorry for the wait. And keep me posted on what you all like or don't like. And I did leave links for music for certain scenes so please do leave a review if that made the reading better for you all or not. On that note catch you all later.
