Ch.9 Shopping Spree
Hey guys! I haven't updated since last year and I feel bad about that. I really do! You guys are so patient and I'm glad to have such awesome and patient readers! I hope you guys like this chapter!

(Kagome P.O.V)
"Come on Rin! It will be fun"
"I don't know Kagome" Rin said wearily as she looked into the well
"I'm with Rin on this one Kagome. What if we can't pass through?" Sango said
"We will. Just make sure whatever you do, don't let go"
"But how are you so sure" Rin said turning to look at me
I smirked smugly. I took the pearl out my bag and held it up for them to see
"Myoga and Inuyasha went to Lake of times over in the East to retrieve this. It will help you all pass"
Sango looked it over intently
"How will this allow us to pass through to your time?"
"Legend has it that every 5 years a pearl that is crafted from the gods will gain power from the moon and will appear in depths of the lake. It has the mystic powers that may aid in the passage of time, but the catch is that only one of a pure soul may use it. The pearls will just be like any other pearl unless used by the pure soul."
"Wow, that is amazing" Rin said
"Yup. So let's test it out" I said sitting on the edge of the well
Rin and Sango hesitated for a moment but eventually both of them took one of my hands. When were all seated on the edge, Sango turned to me.
"Are you sure it's ok to leave the guys with the kids?"
"Well…"
"Maybe we shouldn't go" Rin said
I shook my head
"No. I said I would take you guys to the mall and that's what I am going to do" I said with a smile before I slid off the edge into the well, taking a screaming Sango and Rin with me.
(Rin's P.O.V)
When Kagome slid off into the well, I couldn't help the scream that left me. I closed my eyes only hearing my and Sango's screams. I felt like I was falling forever. When I finally felt the ground, I opened my eyes and looked around. We were still in the well.
"Kagome it didn't work" Sango said sadly
Kagome smirked
"Actually it did. Come on"
She started climbing a ladder that laid against the wall of the well. Sango and I followed cautiously. When we got to the top, I noticed we were in a shrine.
"That's my old house"
I looked where Kagome was pointing and I was amazed
It actually worked
We followed Kagome to her house. She lifted up a rock and pulled a key from under it. When she opened the door I was again amazed at how her house looked.
"This is where you grew up" Sago stated amazed
Kagome chuckled but nodded
"Mom! Sota! Grandpa! I'm back!"
A middle aged woman, a boy that looked around my age, and an old man came into the room.
"Kagome!"
"Kagome, it's good to see you dear"
"How's the feudal era"
Kagome hugged her family and turned to us.
"Mom, Sota, grandpa these are my friends Sango and Rin. I'm taking them to the mall"
Kagome's mom smiled at us
"It's nice to meet you all."
"Kagome, where's Inuyasha and Emiko?" her brother asked looking around us
"He's at the village with Sango's husband, watching the kids"
"Oh! What a shame. I was hoping to see them, I even bought those noodles he liked" Kagome's mom
"We'll drop by sometime next week. We don't want to take Emiko through the well that much."
"Ok dear."
"Mom, do you still have my card we used when I was pregnant?"
She nodded then went into another room before returning with a small rectangular object.
"Here you go sweetie. Don't spend too much"
Kagome nodded. I won't
When Kagome's mom left, she turned to us with an excited look.
"Let's get you guys changed" With that she pulled me and Sango upstairs into a small room with a pink bed.
"Now let's see"
Oh boy…
(Kagome P.O.V)
"You guys look great!"
I smiled at my work.
Rin is wearing my old pair of dark wash skinny jeans, a white shirt with a black owl on it, my old black and white converse, and a black beanie. Sango is wearing a simple white dress with a gold belt and gold gladiator sandals. I'm wearing a black onesie with a creamed cardigan and a pair of black flip flops.
"Kagome what are these called again?" Rin asked grabbing at the fabric of the jeans
"There called skinny jeans"
"They're a little tight though." Rin said a little unsure
I smiled
"That's how they are."
Rin said nothing
We left the house and walked to the train station.
It was a bit of a hassle but we go through it, without Sango and Rin making a scene. When we got to the mall, Sango and Rin were walking around with their mouths open asking a million questions. It was kind of funny. I had bought some things for Emiko, a couple of outfits, some snacks, and a gift for Inuyasha. It was a pair of silk boxers with a dog on the butt.
He is going to lose it
I snickered at the thought. I had convinced Rin and Sango to buy a few outfits and even some lingerie. They were blushing the whole time. We were leaving the toy store, where we got something for the kids to play with, when I saw Rin looking intently at something.
"What are you looking at?"
"This" Rin said still staring intently
I turned my attention to the object she was twirling in her hand
It was a ying necklace and yang necklace held together by a piece of plastic.
"Do you like it? We can buy it"
"No, you have already spend so much on me"
I took the necklaces out of her hand and examined the price.
This is pretty cheap compared to all the other stuff
"It's fine Rin. Just curious though, who would you give the other charm to?"
"Oh…um I haven't really thought about that" Rin said as she fiddled with her fingers
"What about Sesshomaru?"
Rin turned completely red and started flailing her arms around in a panic
"No. No. No. Absolutely not! Lord Sesshomaru would never accept a gift from me, besides something this simple, he probably will hate" Rin muttered in the end
"Nonsense! Sesshomaru would love it. Trust me" I said winking at the end
After paying for the necklace, we returned to my house just in time to grab a quick bite of my mom's cooking before we headed back to the feudal era. Trying to maneuver all the bags and still hold hands was a bit difficult but after a little shifting of bags we succeeded. Rin and Sango didn't scream this time but they were holding my hands in a death grip.
(Rin's P.O.V)
"Kagome that was a lot of fun. Thank you"
"No problem Rin, it was fun hanging out with you"
Kagome gave me a quick hug before heading off into the direction of her house.
I smiled as I carried my 5 bags back to Kadea's. Just as I was about to enter Kadea's home, I heard my name.
"Rin?"
I turned around and was greeted by no other than Lord Sesshomaru.
"Hello my lord" I said turning around giving him my full attention.
"You look…different"
I was about to ask what he meant until I remembered I was still in the clothes Kagome gave me.
"Oh this? Well Kagome gave these to me so I wouldn't stand out when I visited her time"
Lord Sesshomaru looked surprised for a second until he recomposed himself.
"So you were able to pass through the Bone Eaters well."
I nodded
"Mhm"
"I see. Very well."
As he turned to leave, a thought popped in my head.
The necklace
"Wait my Lord! I have a gift for you"
"For me?"
I nodded my head so fast I thought it would fall off.
"It's in one of these bags. Please wait a moment."
I quickly took the bags into Kaeda's and dug through its contents before I found the necklaces. I quickly took of the so called 'plastic' and put mines on. I ran outside to see Lord Sesshomaru leaning against a tree. I quickly walked up to him and held it out for him to take. He held it by the silver beads and examined the black and white charm.
"What exactly is it"
"It is part of the ying yang. See, I have the other half" I said showing him my necklace.
"I see. I will accept your gift"
I swear I almost passed the heck out! I didn't think he would actually accept it and just when I thought that would be it he PUT IT ON!
"How does it look?"
I smiled
"It suits you"
"Oh really? How so?"
I tenderly reached out and held the charm in my palm.
"Because this charm is just like you, no matter how dark it may seem on the inside, there is just a little bit of light on the inside to keep it balance"
He didn't say anything. We stood like that for a second. As I was about to let go, he grasped my hand in his.
"Rin… do you wish to know a secret?"
And that's it for this chapter! Not much romance in this one but I thought it would be good to have a little fun chapter. Next chapter though is going to be full on romance!
