Chapter 13: Malefor returns

While Spyro, Cynder, Ember, Flame, and their two children Spooks and Sribra, are on their way to find the two Wyverns Scar and Scalefor.

Meanwhile, at the Mt. of Malefor, Charter was now getting ready to met Spyro at the location he had gave to him. "I did what you commanded, father, I disguise myself as Ignites and tried to separate Spooks from Spyro and Cynder but they decided to come along anyways.". Malefor just gave him a grin look and then smiled " Thats what I thought might happen, I want you to go their and wait for them. When the times right, you know what to do."

Charter nodded his head and then flies off to face the Purple Dragon.

As Spyro and the gang made it to the spot they were given, Cynder then noticed two dragons coming towards. "SPYRO." shouted Cynder "IS THAT."

Spyro turned and saw two Wyverns one he know and the other he heard about. Scar just smiled and then said " My village was distr..." "I know" interrupted Spyro "Ignites told about you two, so all we have to do is wait.".

As times passed, Cynder was then started to get really bad feeling about something. "Spyro"

"Yes Cynder." replied Spyro

" I don't now if you've noticed that Ignites wanted Spooks alone for some reason, and they way he acted it just.." Cynder then pause for a second to catch her breath. '' didn't seem right."

Spyro thought about it and he had to agree with Cynder, why would Ignites want to take Spooks alone. Then, it snapped and then said "Because he would never have a child go by his or herself, that wasn't him.". Scar then also remembered that the King told him to go there for a gift that will make him king of all Wyverns. Scar then replied "Not only that, our king would never give up his thrown unless he dies!". All of them were about ready to leave cause they had a feeling that this was a trap. Spooks and Sribra didn't what was going until, in a blink of a eye, Charter snatched Spooks.

"HEEEY, HEEELLLP" yelled Spooks trying to get his fathers attention, and he did. Spyro then saw what he wish he didn't, his old friend Charter and now they were enemies.

"My, My, My Spyro, I thought you couldn't resist to follow Ignites's orders no matter what happened, and you traitor going behind my back to have Spyro help you, such weakness in yea, but now...I will have my revenge.". Charter then flow back to his castle, with out hesitation Spyro and Cynder told Ember and Flame to head back and warn the city of Warfang that something was going to happen, and Spyro explained why.

Scalefor just immediately followed Charter to get him to spot, and Scar follower her because he is not going to lose her again, along with Spyro and Cynder following from behind. As they arrived they could here Scalefor yelling at him to stop this madness, but he wouldn't listen. "Charter, liston we didn't ban your father for no reason, he was evil and almost destroyed the world, please don't release him.".

"For years Spyro I thought of my father as one nice dad, and you toke him away.". Charter then used a special magic and lifted Spooks in the are. "Behold" yelled Charter "The darkness you passed on, is now released.". Spooks screamed in pain as his entire body turned from a grayish color to a pale black color, Spyro's worist nightmare had came true.

Fueled with anger and hatred for what Charter did Spyro turned into his dark for, but was quickly calmed down (a little) to control himself. "Now Spooks, release my master." all of a sudden a light of darkness shot from his mouth and then a portal started to open.

"Were to later Spyro." yelled Cynder who was giving up hope, but then saw something odd. "Mother" yelled Spooks "Father." A tear then fell, and then all of a sudden he attacks Charter without a second thought. Spyro then noticed that there was one thing that Charter would not change, it was his heart.

Cynder was about to help but Spyro stopped her and said "Let him go, this is his fight.". Cynder then got an idea "What if Spooks pushes Charter into the portal, will it close.".

"It will but if Spooks gets to close then he will be going in it as well." said Scalefor.

Charter vs Dark Spooks

Charter trying to shack the child off so that he could welcome his fathers return, was proven to be harder then it looks. "Get off of me, you little infant!", but Spooks just hanged on. "You know your father has been hiding your real name."said Charter trying to make Spooks calm down. But, Spooks just said "Your going to where you belong.".

Charter knew what he was talking about "NO, don't have mercy, if you join me we could be a team, and rule the world!"

Spooks just did an evil smile and said "I DON'T THINK SO." After that Spooks just hits Charter in the chest towards the portal. "I'm not going alone.". He then grabbed Cynder by the leg, but then Scalefor then just punch him in the face.

"SCAL" yelled Scar "NOOOOOOOO!".

Scalefor just turned and said "I ALWAYS LOVE YOU" and then the portal closed. Spooks then changed back to his normal colors and then started to fall, Cynder the caught him just the nick of time before he landed on a spike.

"SPOOKS" yelled Cynder hoping that he was still alive, Spyro ran up to her and then said "Speek to me son.".

Sribra then got in front on then and saw a huge scar on his stomach, "Spyro, Cynder let me try something."

They laid the wounded Spooks down and then Sribra used her healing powers to heal Spooks, and it worked.

"Sribra..." he moaned "Have I ever told you how much I love you."

"Spooks" squealed Sribra, both Spyro and Cynder then huge him along with Sribra.

"I don't get it Spyro, I thought you said Ignites told you it was the worst darkness then yours."

Spyro then responded to Cynder "He might have meant for his enamies, not for us.". Spyro then saw Scar crying because Scalefor his dear sister was gone. Spyro then went up to him "Scar". Scar just looked at him with tears running down his check. "I'm sorry for what happened with who ever that was.". Scar then huge Spyro and for the first time Scar began to cry because he knows he would probably never she Scalefor again.

After they were done, they headed back to Warfang to celebrate not Spyros return, but Spooks first victory that had ever happened. It was something that Spooks will never for get.

Author: As the years went by Spooks now a league to be remembered along with Spyro and Cynder. For Scar, he lives by himself and is trying to find a way to bring back his sister Scalefor.

Ceara was now aloud to come back, as Cynder promised that they would, and trust me Terrador was very glade to see her again.

So that's the end of Book I of the Legend of Spyro and the Last Ghost Dragon
