Soulless Eyes
a/n: I thought this would be a short chapter but before I knew it, I had reached 6000 words. By the way, even though classes for my last year in college (WHOOP WHOOP SENIOR!) have begun, I still will make as much effort as possible to finish this story hopefully before Christmas. BUT I still need you all, whom I love very much, to understand that my priorities lie within my studies. If I have to choose studying for my Biochemistry or Physical Chemistry exams the next day over writing another chapter, of course I'm gonna study. Anyways, on with it! :D Thanks for reading!
I do NOT own Dragonball/Z/GT. All rights go to Akira Toriyama.
Robert eyebrows scrunched up on his forehead as he stated, "You're weird, but I like it." He then flashed his same smile before directing Chichi closer to the kitchen door. But their attention went somewhere else as the room erupted with laughter; with Goku being the source of it all, once again.
"You know what?" Robert asked Chichi as they stared at Goku.
"What?" Chichi whispered, laughing a bit.
"Goku is much better than most of the exchange students I've seen. The last ones earlier this semester are the total opposite. They're antisocial and-"
"Wait." Her mind may have been fuzzy but, the files she looked at never said anything about exchange students. Chichi, looked back towards Robert. She desperately tried to piece the proper words together of her discombobulated mind. She found herself barely asking, "who are exchange students you talking about? What's the names?"
However, before Robert had the chance to even respond, someone new walked in the kitchen.
That someone was Eileen, whose eyes immediately met Chichi's.
The sound of the trendy music reverberated against her eardrum, drowning out all other noises. All except her heart, which was thumping madly against her chest as she regarded this vampire before her. Everyone else was oblivious to the scene occurring at the kitchen door. They were too engaged in conversations, gyrating their hips to the alluring music, or throwing back their umpteenth shot of brown alcohol to notice.
And this unwavering glare was the epitome of intense. Those icy blue eyes staring her down were as frigid and as cold as a blizzard, sending horrible tremors down her spine. That minor quiver across her back was the only movement she would dare to make since she was frozen under the penetrating gaze of her enemy. It was not as if Chichi was scared of this unordinary vampire before her. No, she wasn't the least bit scared of this ruthless beast. The only thing that could frighten Chichi to the point of quivering, was the possibility that this vampire would kill everyone in this room at any moment. And in her current condition, Chichi couldn't possibly save a soul, much less herself.
But, she would not go down without a fight.
That is what Chichi kept telling herself, but the alcohol was already settling in her system. If Eileen's gaze had not frozen her and rooted her feet to the ground, then she would've been leaning up against the doorframe for support. Even the sight before her was becoming hazy. And the only thing Chichi really wanted to do was lie down and laugh, not fight a vampire for her life.
But maybe it was her courage or the alcohol in her that made Chichi finally break the silence between the two. Speaking with a slurred speech, Chichi said, "Let's not-..Do umm do…"
"This here?" Eileen finished, with an amused smirk coming across her face.
Chichi exhaled, closing her eyes in an attempt to regain her composure. Once she opened them to meet Eileen's eyes once more, she slurred again, "You know what I'm trying to say."
"I honestly don't care. But for now, to your little request, I agree. This small space would mean your blood and everyone else's would get on my clothes. And I just bought these."
Irritated by her nonchalant attitude, Chichi felt her hand itch for the pin holding her hair up in its messy bun. Eileen's eyes glanced at Chichi's hand that had flinched. Her smirk became more pronounced and malicious as she leaned in closer to her. Her cold breath that smelled of iron was caressing Chichi's face, taunting her.
"Try me. I dare you to. We don't need to go outside for me to kill you," Eileen threatened.
"Um, excuse me. I'm trying to get in the kitchen." a random guy said, suddenly interrupting the two. They moved apart, allowing the boy to pass through. It snapped Chichi back to reality, as she realized that she was still inside the party. But more importantly, Robert was standing there with a worried, almost terrified expression.
"I'm sorry Robert. She'll take me home," Chichi said, slurring her speech. Before Robert could respond, she left out, beckoning Eileen to follow her.
Eileen rolled her eyes. And before she could follow Chichi, she whispered over to Robert, "You've finally done something right. You'll be rewarded appropriately."
Eileen soon departed, leaving Robert standing there. He then resumed his normal activities, engaging in conversation with those around him until Goku bumped into him. The others turned their head towards the two, but soon turned it back since it was Goku. They assumed it wouldn't be a problem because it was Goku after all, and he was drunk like them.
"Oh sorry," Goku said.
"It's no problem." Robert replied, he was about to walk off but Goku grabbed his arm for a quick second to stop him.
Eyeing Robert, Goku stated in a tone not to be challenged, "If something happens to Chichi, I will kill you. No one hurts my friends."
"I have no idea what you're talking about." Robert replied, giving him an innocent grin as he tried to snatch his elbow away. But, his arm remained in Goku's firm grasp, which only tightened in response.
Goku brightly smiled at Robert as he stated, "You can feign ignorance all you want but you know one thing you can't ignore?" His grip tightened even more, causing Robert to wince. "All the pain I will inflict on you and your vie family, if even a single hair is removed from her head."
Goku released Robert's arm, still smiling as he said, "Don't make me show you why even the vampire council fear us elders."
Goku then hurried out, easily maneuvering through the crowd as he headed for the door. He walked out and was greeted by a few other college students near the exit. He glanced around looking for Chichi and Eileen, but he didn't see them. Immediately, Goku closed his eyes to calm his nerves and focus. Using his superior senses, he sought out Eileen. Once he could pinpoint her ki, he rushed to the area. They were behind the apartments and out of sight for the most part. There were still a few students loitering around or heading to their cars. He scanned the area and saw that Chichi was positioned and ready to fight Eileen in the street which was illuminated by orange streetlights. He was a few yards away, and even at that distance Goku could see that she was swaying a bit. Without a moment to spare, he flashed up behind Chichi and chopped her upside the head to knock her out. She fell, and he caught her in his arms.
Shocked by his sudden appearance, Eileen jumped back and guarded herself. "You came here to protect her? No matter. I will break all of your limbs, then drag your limp body back to the council. And as for the daughter of a vie's traitor, I will-"
Eileen suddenly stopped speaking as she noticed the glare that Goku was giving her. It was something that sent an unexpected chill throughout her body. Goku took that brief moment of silence to caution, "I don't want to hurt you but I will. You need to leave here now and not kill anyone at that party."
Eileen laughed with little to no emotion before saying, "You can't command me to do anything. You don't have that certain power."
Goku only smirked. Once Eileen had blinked, she felt a hand around her throat, crushing her esophagus. She looked down at the ground and saw that an unconscious Chichi was lying on the pavement, with her head being propped up by Goku's jacket he was just wearing. Her eyes then followed the hand and the arm, to the face of the one who was gripping her throat; Goku. How did he move that fast! The vampire council never mentioned that he was capable of such! And now she couldn't breathe! The pain that was surging through her body was so powerful, that she couldn't put up a fight. She may've grasped at his one arm with both her hands, but she couldn't get him to free her.
"You must be forgetting that I don't have to have that certain power to make you do something. I can simply use force," Goku replied.
Goku released Eileen, allowing her body to fall to the pavement. At that same moment, Goku found himself leaping back to avoid an attack from a mysterious short black hair guy. That same guy had a pair of icy blue eyes filled with an overwhelming amount of bloodlust.
"Sevileen it's fine," Eileen gasped, caressing her bruised neck that was slowly starting to heal.
"It's not fine. He needs to pay for laying his filthy hands on you," Sevileen retorted.
"I said it is," Eileen stated indifferently, as she stood up glancing at her brother. Her eyes commanded him to stand down. Goku paid them no mind as he went to gather Chichi in his arms. He had noticed that humans were starting to come out and notice the surrounding tension.
"Hey is Rose okay?" one girl asked. The others also began to show concern.
"She'll be fine. She just passed out cause she had too much to drink. I'm about to take her home," Goku said with a smile, diffusing the situation. This assured the students who then began to disperse, not paying the twins any mind.
Goku turned his attention back to the two who were eyeing him. "As I've said, you don't hurt them and I won't hurt you. I'll take my leave now."
"You will regret ever touching my beautiful skin Elder Kakkarot," Eileen threatened.
"I can't wait for you to see what the council has in store for you." Sevileen added.
"Whatever. I'll be ready." Goku replied, grinning as he waved them off. He then disappeared into the night with Chichi.
Sevileen directed his gaze towards Eileen. Frustration and disgust was apparent in his eyes. "What was that about? We could've taken him! And why didn't you fight back when he had you in his grip! That was pathetic!" Sevileen claimed.
"He was choking me." Eileen replied, flipping her hair as if she not concerned by his questions.
"You're a vampire, you don't need to breathe sister." Sevileen eyed her carefully before saying, "Could it be that you were so scared of him that you forgot?... I don't care if you are. I'm going after him."
Suddenly, Eileen thrusted her hand inside Sevileen's body, gripping his intestines. Her body was turned towards any students that were lingering behind, so they couldn't see Sevileen suffering before her. Blood was sloppily spilling from his wound, dripping down onto the pavement. It spurted from his lips as he coughed, staining his sister's face and clothes. Sevileen, then glimpsed up at his sibling. Instead of fear, mere amusement resided deep within his icy blue eyes. He even smirked at her.
Eileen scoffed before she released him. He dropped to the ground on his knees and she said, "Don't forget I'm stronger than you and I will dispose of you if I have to." She proceeded to casually lick the blood off her fingertips.
Sevileen gripped his gaping hole, applying pressure until it healed. He cynically laughed, "No you won't. I'm all you have. You're all I have. And I'm the only one you care about, that's why you wanted me to avoid the fight with the Elder."
"Whatever. Let's leave this wretched place and report to the council," Eileen commanded.
"Your methods are too much. Simply telling me that you're stronger than me and the Elder would've killed me, would've sufficed." Sevileen bitterly chuckled.
"You wouldn't have listened anyway, moron," Eileen replied, flipping her blonde her once more. Those two then disappeared within the night, leaving the college kickback they had barely attended.
Furtively walking down the hallway of the vampire slayer's home, Goku hurried off towards Chichi's room tenderly cradling her. Thankfully, she was still unconscious and snoring against his chest. He could only imagine the struggle it would've been if she was awoke; slurring her speech, staggering to her room, and causing a huge disturbance. And after all that alcohol she had consumed, she was lucky she hadn't succumbed to severe alcohol poisoning but instead was sleeping soundly.
Goku was too focused on Chichi that he neglected the sound of a few soldiers approaching. By the time he had realized that people were coming in his direction, it was too late. Goku rounded the corner and came to an immediate halt upon seeing them.
It was a female and two other males dressed in their standard issued combat wear, with pistols secured on their holster. One in which he only recognized because that soldier often had duty in the kitchen. When they confronted him, their expressions read that of utter confusion.
The female even asked, "Uh, what's going on here? What's wrong with her?"
Before Goku could answer, the other male Goku didn't know said, "It doesn't matter. It's her after all. Yeah we didn't see anything here."
"Speak for yourself. I'm with Anna. Did you hurt her vampire?" he spat the word, laced with hatred. His hand carefully hovered over his gun, ready to take action.
Goku didn't have time for this; for these intrusive soldiers. He surged his ki slightly to his brain and mouth, making it tingle in response to his energy. Then Goku spoke ever so calmly to the three, "You will forget about what you've seen here. And you kitchen boy will always give me four times my current portion for meals. More importantly, tomorrow when you bring in breakfast for Chichi, you will make sure to include some of Bulma's meds for her headache. You will also ignore any obvious signs that she was drunk. Do you all understand?"
The soldiers adamantly nodded their heads, saying mechanically, "Yes, Elder Kakkarot."
"Alright. See you guys later then!" Goku smiled, dismissing them. With their eyes still dilated by his influence, they walked around him and proceeded down the hallway as if nothing had ever happened.
Goku finally let out a sigh of relief. He readjusted his arms to hold Chichi more comfortably before he continued to walk towards her room. A few seconds later, he reached his destination. He shifted her weight more so to his right arm, so he could then use the other arm to reach in his pocket to pull out a key. This same key which he was given not too long ago to have easy access to her room.
Goku soon opened the door and entered the room, signaling the automatic lights. The door shut on its own behind him as soon as he had stepped forward. He placed the key back into his pocket before he turned around for a moment, to lock the door just in case. Once he had done that, Goku walked over to left side of the neat canopy bed and laid Chichi down. Thankfully, she remained sleep and in a fetal position. Her hair had come out of its messy bun, and was now sprawled out on the bed. It even covered her slightly flushed face and pursed lips. Impulsively, Goku slowly reached his right hand out and pushed her hair away from her face, caressing it in the process. Her warm cheeks felt so smooth and as delicate as porcelain, that he assumed she would break if he applied too much pressure.
And she looked so vulnerable that he just wanted to…. That instant, Goku stopped touching her. He needed to leave now before he added sexual harassment to his list of heinous deeds. But as soon as he turned away and tried to leave, he felt a slight tug at the hem of his shirt that prevented him from such. Goku turned back around and glanced down to see a wide eyed Chichi staring at him.
Damn. He had woken her up.
"Wait… where are you going?" Chichi asked. The stench from the alcohol on her breath singed his nose hairs. He had half a mind to actually recoil from her.
"To my room," He replied, an eyebrow furrowing. Why was she asking? He took one giant step away from the bed.
"Nooooo," Chichi whined. "I'm hungry. Feed me. Please. I feed you. You know, with my blood. It's only fair. And then you like, drink… No, I mean just feed me. I don't know what I'm saying but I know I'm hungry."
"Okay." Goku agreed, saying anything to stop her rambling.
Yet Chichi continued to speak, "And…. Since we're on the subject, tell me."
"Tell you what?"
"Come here first," Chichi slurred, beckoning him with her hand. Hesitant, Goku took the smallest baby step towards her. Unsatisfied by his actions, Chichi pouted and wailed, "Come closer."
Goku took another small step, but refused to be too close to her. He was pretty sure the Devil was trying to tempt him.
"Nooooo," Chichi whined again. "Clooooser." She suddenly reached out to grab his collar and pull him near, latching onto his torso as she laid her head up against his chest. She was standing up on the bed with her knees as she wrapped her arms around him.
Goku was as stiff as a board, and his face as red as a candied apple with eyes wide open. He refused to drop his arms and return her hug. Usually he would be the one trying to make Chichi embarrassed or feel uncomfortable. Now, it's like they had swapped positions and he really didn't know how to proceed with her latching onto him so tightly. Her warm breath could be felt through his clothes. And her heart was beating so rapidly, almost like a child.
"Lay with me please. I mean I don't like you like that at least I don't think. But who knows? Nobody knooows because I'm drunk… Like I never knew how this would feel. I used to read about it but I never knew until I experienced it. Just… Please lay with me. I know I'm rambling. I hope you're not irritated. Don't be," Chichi pleaded. She glanced up to Goku with the biggest puppy dog eyes when she met his gaze.
And at that moment, Goku knew he needed to leave. Immediately.
Goku finally dropped his arms to place his hands on her shoulders. With enough force, he tried to push Chichi off. It didn't work. He tried again with a bit more force. And still she didn't budge. Just what in the hell was going on? Chichi was a lot stronger than he thought. If he applied any more force, he would probably hurt her. A sweat dropped down his forehead. With a sheepish grin, Goku said to her, "Uhh…Chichi, I don't think this is a good idea. I should leave."
":Blah blah blah. It is. I'm fine." Chich plopped back onto the bed, grabbing Goku's hand now. "Cuddle with meeeee. I know you don't do humans but I don't want sex. No no no. I'm waiting for that. Not from you of course. Oh man I'm talking too much but this bed feels WONDERFUL."
"Chichi, you need to go to sleep before I do something we'll both regret."
"Only if you staaaaay with meeeee, cause you're alllll I need." Chichi then busted out into laughter, "Like I'm really drunk. Oh wow. This is…" Chichi sung "AMAZIIING."
The way things were looking right now, Goku thought he should do as she said. The faster she went to sleep, the better for the both of them.
"Alright, I will. Just go to sleep." Goku relented, laying down next to her finally. She happily snuggled up to him, grinning like a spoiled child as she laid her head upon his chest. He was rigid at first, but eventually thought he mine as well take full advantage of the opportunity. Plus, she was amusing to some extent.
Suddenly, an idea came to mind. A devilish smirk came across Goku's face as he then asked, "Well…..since you are very talkative. Tell me. Do you like me?"
"So…. I really don't hate you. I don't hate Bulma either, she just broke my heart and I don't know how to manage. But don't let my sober self know I told you this. I'll deny it." Chichi laughed. She let out a delighted sigh and cooed, "You're really warm. It's hard to believe you're a vampire."
"If I was a human…."
"SSSHhhhh. Maybe. Who knows? Nobody knows? Oh kami, why can't I stop talking. I need to sleep. Gokuuuuu, put me to sleep," Chichi whined.
Another awkward sweat dropped down Goku's forehead. He tried to smile it off as he replied, "Chichi I don't think you know what you're asking. I know many ways to put you to sleep."
She lifted her head up slightly, propping herself up with her hand laying on his chest. With her eyes halfway open, Chichi replied softly, "Well then, what are you waiting for?"
It took everything deep deeeeeeep inside of Goku to not flip her over and take her right now. Instinct was telling him to or maybe it was the alcohol he had drank earlier. Yep. At this moment, Goku would rather blame it on the alcohol. Either way, Chichi was really tempting him.
"I'm ready," She giggled.
The smile dropped from his face, which took on a serious expression. Goku used his free hand to cup her chin slightly as he glanced down at her. He inched his head close enough to hers that less than an inch remained between the two. Her boozy breath even began to tickle his lips, slowly storming his mouth, intoxicating him slightly in the process. His eyes bared into hers that were sluggishly open. Her heartbeat seemed to pick up a bit, or maybe the alcohol was starting to make him hallucinate as well. He swallowed the lump, the urge, building in his throat to taste her and her lips. And he said, "Chichi, I'm warning you. You've teased me twice already. In a second I'm about to-"
She yawned, interrupting his statement and killing the mood immediately. "Yeah okay, I hear you loud and clear like over an intercom or Styrofoam…no styrophone. Wait. That's not it. It's a megaphone!" Chichi lazily laughed, "What am I saying? I guess I sleep now. You're so comfortable." Chichi closed her eyes, dropping her head back down as she snuggled up closer to him.
"One last question though. It's been bugging me. What are these secrets? Why won't you tell me Goku. It makes me anxious. It makes me feel alone. Oh kami, that sound cheesy. Like from a romantic comedy thingy, movie, TV show, whatever the hell, you get what I'm saying…"
"You'll never be alone as long as I'm here."
"You're sweet, you may be drunk but I'm not as drunk as you think you are. Wait…. Did that make sense? Oh… secrets. What was I saying about it?" Chichi asked.
"You asked me about them and I told you," Goku said, closing his eyes now.
"I don't remember."
"Ssssh. Of course I told you and you replied, 'see. It's just like a vamp bastard to keep that a secret." Goku answered, mimicking her voice.
"Sounds like me. Okay, goodnight though. I'm talking too much. And I'm…" Chichi yawned, "sleepy."
"Goodnight Chi," Goku said. And at that, the two finally went to sleep.
The bright lights automatically turned on, and all Chichi felt was immediate anger. What the hell? She had thought that she reprogrammed it so that wouldn't happen. They were too damn bright. And on top of that, her head was throbbing at both temples. It was as if two little nymphs were inside her head each going crazy with two ton sledgehammers. What happened last night to make her feel like this? More importantly, how in the hell did she end up in her bed? Last time she checked, she was…. Wait, what was she doing? Chichi couldn't remember.
Chichi sat up in the bed, squeezing her temples with both hands desperately trying to recollect her thoughts and last night festivities. But she couldn't. What she needed right now was something to get rid of her headache. She threw the covers back and hopped out the bed. Wincing and clenching her temples with one hand, Chichi made her way towards the bathroom. On her way, she noticed the breakfast cart out in the open. Next to the plate which was covered with a tin top, was what she recognized as Bulma's strongest pain medication. Almost immediately, Chichi grabbed the bottle and took out three pills. Popping them in her mouth, she grabbed the orange juice on the cart and downed all of it to swallow the pills.
She barely slammed the glass back on the cart, and noticed something move in her peripheral. Chichi turned around towards her bed and saw someone lying there. She had been so preoccupied with her headache and the lights that she had not noticed that Goku was in her bed for the umpteenth time. However, this time he looked like he was actually sleeping. Surprise spread across Chichi's face as this rare opportunity presented itself. He had completely let his guard down. She was definitely going to use this chance to make him pay dearly for everything he had done to her up to this point. Slowly, she then began to walk towards the left side of her bed where Goku laid comfortably.
And then it hit her...In that instant, Chichi's nose scrunched up in disgust. What in Kami's name was that horrendous smell? Sniffing the air some more, she moved to follow the source of that rancid scent to the left side of the bed. There she discovered a trashcan full of vomit. And next to that trashcan, all over the floor and on the clothes, was more vomit.
Uhh… Chichi's eyes wrinkled up in confusion. Those were apparently Goku's clothes and hers. She quickly glanced down to see that she was in a nightgown she didn't remember putting on. And then, Chichi swiftly ripped the covers off of Goku to see he was lying there in his boxers.
"What the…" Flushing to a profound crimson color, Chichi turned back around trying to piece things together. She had half a mind to kill him. Calm down, there has to be some explanation. Little to no recollection of last night. Head hurting. Vomit on the floor, his clothes, and her clothes. New clothes on her. And an apparently exhausted Goku lying in her bed unguarded.
Chichi thought a bit harder, and some of her memories from last night suddenly came back to her. Including, "Oh my KAMI!" Chichi sat at the foot of the bed and covered her face, in complete and utter embarrassment. At this moment, crawling in a nearby ditch seemed like the only solution to her problems.
"So you're woke now. I'm surprised you didn't kill me while I was sleeping." Goku said, with a dry laugh.
"Mfffhhhmh" Chichi mumbled in her hands.
"I can't hear you. Move your hands," Goku demanded. When Chichi hadn't moved an inch, he reached down and tried to pry her hands away from her face.
"Stop it!" Chichi shouted, slapping away his hands with one of hers. She immediately went to cover her face again.
"Well then move your hands!"
"No! I'm mffhhh." Chichi muttered.
"I still can't hear you! Move your hands!" Goku said. He was now on top of the covers, gripping Chichi's wrist as he tried to pull her hands away. Chichi found herself almost falling off of the bed. And Goku was extremely close to uncovering her face. She lifted her leg up to knee Goku right in the stomach. In that split second that he had recoiled and gripped his abdomen, Chichi dashed towards the bathroom.
She ran with all her might and almost had reached the doorway when Goku snatched her up in his arms, her feet no longer able to touch the ground. He spun her around until she wasn't anywhere near the bathroom entrance. Even after he placed her down, Goku's arms remained around her.
Chichi felt herself starting to panic. Feeling his toned warm arms embracing her small frame, could only make her nervous. Not only that but he wasn't letting go. With her heart racing now, Chichi exclaimed, "What are you doing?! Let me go Goku!"
"Not until you stop acting silly and speak to me."
"Oh my Kami! Goku I will! Just let me go! You're naked!"
"No I'm not. I have on boxers." Goku replied, as he finally released Chichi. Stubborn and aggravated, she crossed her arms and refused to face him.
"Uh, aren't you gonna turn around?" Goku asked, his eyebrows wrinkling upon his forehead. Chichi ignored him. Goku was starting to become frustrated, so he grabbed her and turned her around. What he saw was a sight to behold. Chichi's face was the darkest shade of red that he had ever seen.
"Woah. Is this normal? Do you have a fever or something?" Goku said, clearly concerned.
Chichi remembered how a few seconds ago she wanted to crawl in a ditch. Well now she wanted to jump out of an airplane 15000 feet in the air, just to be rid of the embarrassment that coursed through her veins. She snapped, "I'm fine! I'm just embarrassed!"
"For what? Almost fighting, getting drunk, or coming on to me last night?"
Her eyes shot open. "I what?!" Chichi screeched. She grabbed her forehead muttering to herself, "So that wasn't another dream?! Dear Kami, kill me NOW!"
"Why is that so embarrassing? So what if you confessed to me. I wouldn't call my response rejection. Simply motivation to try harder." Goku said, taking another step towards her.
"Excuse me?!" Chichi said snapping her head up to glare at a grinning Goku. Her eyes met his for a second, before she found herself looking at his chest. Then she turned that dark color once again. If he could read her mind, he would've known that him touching and cuddling with her last night and today was what she was embarrassed about the most. She had never done that with any guy! And she actually did it with an Elder. To make matters worse, the smallest part of her actually…. No! She wouldn't dare admit it to herself! It would be like admitting defeat.
Goku noticed Chichi's face as if she was facing some internal battle. He couldn't help but to laugh. He definitely found a new way to bother her now. It would be payback for the torture she made him endure last night.
"What's so damn funny?" Chichi spat.
"Chi. If you're worried I did something to you. I didn't. And if you really want to know what happened last night besides me holding your hair back so you could throw up, I'll tell you."
"Oh yeah! That reminds me! Goku what happened to the blonde haired vampire?! I remember I was about to fight her until I passed out! What about everyone at the party?!"
"Calm down Chi. You're must be imagining that. I doubt there was a vampire there."
"Goku! Yes there was!"
"I'm telling you, I doubt that vampire would leave without causing everyone pain. She definitely wouldn't have left you unharmed. So I doubt she was really there," Goku said with an awkward grin, hoping that Chichi would buy his story. The last thing anyone needed was her going off to attack the twins. Then the vampire council would know that they really were onto their plans.
After a few seconds of narrowing her eyes to scrutinize Goku's expression, Chichi accepted his explanation and said, "I guess you're right. If she was there, then that would mean the slayers' tactics would change and I would have to seek her out on campus." Chichi then let out a sigh of relief. Stress now departing, she had another important situation to take care of. Thus, Chchi bowed her head for what she was about to do now. Fretting with her fingers she mumbled, "I guess I owe you a thank you for everything. You may not be as repulsive as other vampires."
Surprise, flowed inside Chichi as she suddenly sensed his touch. He was gently rubbing the top of her head as she raised it to meet his gaze.
"You're welcome Chichi!" Goku said, grinning.
Chichi tried her best not to smile in return since that grin of his felt contagious. However, the urge to smile soon disappeared. The fact that she had to look up to him and that he still stroking the top of her head, had begun to bother her after a while. So, Chichi eventually bowed her head again. This time her body quivered with anger.
After everything that had occurred last night and this morning, Chichi found herself finally returned back to her normal vampire-hating self. Hence she started the next hour of loathing Goku by screeching, "Stop petting me like a dog! And why are you still naked?! Hurry up and get out of my room before I stab you in the chest! And if you ever undress me again, I swear I'll cut off your hands!"
Securing the scarf around her neck, she finally entered the small café. The bell hanging on the door rang, and not only was she greeted by the potent aroma of coffee and cake but the server glanced up from the cash register to welcome her as well. There were a few people seated at the tables or booths, behaving like their typical selves by doing things as such as eating whole wheat bagels or working on their laptop as they sipped on a cappuccino.
Pushing the sunglasses back on her face with her index finger, she walked up the counter. "Can I have the usual?"
The cashier nodded and after she received her coffee, she walked to the booths next to the windows. She sat down at the one in the middle and took off her sunglasses before glancing around. Where was he? It's like he didn't know what on time meant!
"Vagrant woman! Why do you always dress like that in public! It's pathetic and you look stupid!"
"Hello to you too Vegeta. What in the hell took you so damn long!" Bulma spat as Vegeta plopped down across from her.
"Oh I was caught between Don't Give A Fuck Avenue and I Do What I Want Boulevard. The traffic there is atrocious."
"Oh really. Well next time you should turn down the corner near there and go to hell. Maybe you'll get here on time then in the future." Bulma retorted, sipping on her coffee once more.
"What would a mortal like you, know about hell? And if you keep talking back to me like that, then I'm going to show you exactly what it is." Vegeta threatened.
"Vegeta you're not gonna do a damn thing to me and you know it." Bulma said, smirking at him as she placed the coffee down.
"Don't test me woman. We all know what happened the last time you did. How's your back again?" Vegeta replied, with his half-smirk donning his face now.
Bulma's face fell. "Your nasty ass! We are in a public place! Don't be saying things like that! And enough of this. Did you bring what I asked you?"
The customers glanced over in their direction, but soon resumed their activities when they realized it was the same pair that was always arguing there.
"I wouldn't come all the way over here just to see your ugly mug." Vegeta snorted.
"Whatever Vegeta. You and I both know my beauty knows no bounds. The only thing that can compete with it is my level my intelligence." Bulma bragged. She watch as Vegeta reached behind him and grabbed a brown leathered book Nappa handed him. That's when Bulma noticed Nappa had been patiently waiting nearby.
"Hey Nappa. Sorry you have to put up with him," Bulma apologized. Nappa simply nodded his head and bitterly laugh in response.
"Here woman." Vegeta said, dropping the book on the table. Bulma eagerly reached out and laid her hand on top of it. However, she was stopped when Vegeta did the same thing.
Keeping his hand on the book, he said, "What about what I requested?"
"Oh yeah. Here." Bulma replied. She used her free hand to reach in her pocket and give Vegeta a slip of paper. He accepted it and opened it, revealing a bunch of numbers. "Those are the coordinates for Ox King's new slayer headquarters. The number at the bottom is the passcode to obtain authorization into the building."
Vegeta then removed his hand and Bulma quickly tucked the book inside her jacket.
Examining the coordinates carefully, Vegeta stated, "Hmpfh. Nappa and I already knew the area but not the exact location. I'll give it to those disgraceful slayers. This place was well hidden."
"Why are you doing this now? I thought you were going to wait?" Bulma questioned.
"I don't have to answer you. But seeing as I'm feeling gracious today, maybe I'll entertain you with a response." Vegeta replied.
Bulma couldn't help but to roll her eyes.
"There's a despicable rat among the vies and vampires. The fact that the slayers are stationed at the university of the next attack should speak for itself. In fact, I'm disgusted by the leak of information of the upcoming battle and that the vampire council have ignored such as if it's in their calculations." Vegeta spoke with malice.
"Speaking of the battle, will you participate?" Bulma asked.
"What do you think? You claim you know me. You should know the answer," Vegeta half-smirked.
"Whatever you decide, just please don't hurt Chichi."
Vegeta scoffed. "Speak for yourself woman. You're already doing that in a way even if it's not directly. Especially with that book I gave you a second ago. But I really don't give a damn about that or her."
"Well then promise me you won't hurt her Vegeta! Please," Bulma pleaded. She leaned over the table, almost knocking her coffee over. She gazed at Vegeta, desperation residing in the pool of her eyes as she begged once more, "Vegeta don't hurt her! I will keep asking you until you agree. You can leave the café, and I will keep calling you until I get what I want. So what do you say?"
Vegeta had the slight desire to blast this woman begging him, the Prince, for favors. But, to avoid her incessant nagging he conceded, "Whatever. I won't lay a hand on that harpy."
Bulma hugged Vegeta across the table, almost smothering him with her boobs. Her life would've been taken if she had embraced him a second longer. As soon as she released him, she got up from the table, grabbed her sunglasses, and said, "Thank you Vegeta! I'll take my leave now."
Bulma began to walk off, but Vegeta called out to her, "Woman!" She briefly stopped and turned around. He was still sitting down at the booth, with his body half way twisted towards her.
Vegeta then stated, "I said that I wouldn't touch that idiot woman. But for Goku or the others, I can't promise such."
"That's fine. I wouldn't have it any other way." Bulma replied. She then put her sunglasses on and proceeded to walk out the door, leaving a smirking Vegeta.
