Kyoko sighed, moving the food around in her bento, but not really eating them.
"Is something the matter, Kyoko?" Hana asked.
Tsuna, her necklace the red heart, looked up from her bento. It was a rare day where she spent her lunch with the girls since Reborn came. Other days, she'd spend alone or with the boys when they find her.
"Well, a sports club asked me to be their manager," Kyoko explained. "I already rejected them, being busy on the leadership committee and all, but it seems that they really want me to be their manager."
"Why would they want you in particular?" Tsuna, her necklace the blue spade, asked. "Is it because you're knowledgeable in sports?"
"No, I don't think so. I don't even know much about boxing, my brother's favorite sport."
"Then why not get your brother to reject them for you?" Hana suggested.
'Brother?' Tsuna thought. Then a conversation from weeks ago came to mind. 'Oh, yeah. The white-haired boxing guy.'
"One meeting with him should be a big message that you don't want to be their manager."
"I guess...Oh! I forgot I need to gather materials for the leadership committee at lunch, and then, I have to prepare them for the next meeting."
"Then Kurokawa-chan and I will look for your brother and ask him to reject the sports club for you."
"Actually, how about I help you, Kyoko? And Sawada can look for your brother."
"Oh, uh, ok. By the way, what's the club that's been trying to recruit you?"
"It's the Karate club."
"Alright. I'll go find your brother and ask him to reject the Karate club."
After Tsuna and the girls left the classroom, Hayato and Takeshi found her.
"Jyuudaimehime, good afternoon!" Hayato said to her.
"Yo, Sawada-chan. Weren't you with the girls?" Takeshi asked.
"Jyuudaimehime can do whatever she wants!" Hayato told him.
"Actually, I'm-"
"Tsuna! Catch!" called a high-pitched voice.
Tsuna turned and caught something prickly. "Ouch! What is this? Reborn!"
"It's me." Tsuna turned the something prickly, which turned out to be a Reborn in a giant chestnut costume.
"What is this?"
"This is a gift I got from Bianchi. She made this in elementary Home Economics. It's a camouflage disguise."
"I'm pretty sure camouflage means blending into the background."
"Yes. But with these pricks, nobody will come near you. And if they do come near, anyone who gets pricked within 30 seconds will fall unconscious."
"What?" As soon as Reborn explained his strange costume, Tsuna blacked out.
When Tsuna came to, she was lying on a couch in what seems to be an office on school campus, if the view from the window is real. She could see the school's yard. Tsuna looked around the office and saw a scene that made her heart jump.
Tsuna, her necklace the blue spade, stared at Hibari Kyoya, the head of the Disciplinary Committee as he ignored her in favor of beating up Hayato and Takeshi for using the Disciplinary Committee office without his permission. In their defense, they needed a place for Tsuna to rest because the poison from Reborn's costume lasted ten minutes. Then he recommended using the office because "nobody's using it," he said.
Tsuna has heard of Hibari's fearsome reputation. His lone wolf leader personality made him quite the catch. Not to mention, his looks...her heart won't stop beating fast!
"Hmm? There was a third one..." Kyoya said, finally turning his attention to her.
'Be still my heart...' the teenage girl thought, her heart beating faster. The glare of the cool and dangerous prefect sent chills up and down her spine.
"Hmm? You're the one who defeated the kendo herbivore. Fight me!" Kyoya demanded, raising his right tonfa to attack the defenseless girl. He had been interested in the girl since the kendo match, but never went out of his way to find her.
A killer instinct came from his left. Kyoya, not expecting anyone else still conscious in the room, quickly dodged an object being thrown at him. Kyoya looked at the object and saw that it was a coffee bean. He turned to where the bean had come from and was greeted with the sight of Reborn standing on the windowsill.
"That's enough, Hibari, you are very strong. Join the Vongola," Reborn said.
"I despite crowding. Leave!" Kyoya said before attacking Reborn, who blocked with a weapon of his own.
"Wow, you're amazing!" Kyoya felt his blood boiling. It has been a long time since he felt excitement, since he met someone who could make him enjoy fighting.
"You really are strong," stated Reborn.
"I want to fight you," Kyoya replied.
"Let's break up," Reborn added, putting on sunglasses and pulling out a bomb. Kyoya scowled and jumped back.
Tsuna, in her ikemen fangirling state, finally noticed Kyoya fighting Reborn. As soon as Reborn whipped out the bomb, her necklace changed into the red heart.
"Gotta go!" Tsuna exclaimed as she quickly pulled all the unconscious people (including the Disciplinary Committee guys) out of the office.
As the bomb was just one cannonball, it didn't make too much damage to the office, but it was enough to make a mess and allow students and teachers nearby to believe some fireworks show was happening.
On the rooftop of the opposite building
"What, Reborn-san, you intentionally made us meet that bastard!" exclaimed Hayato. After Tsuna, her necklace the green clover, fed him and Takeshi some of her special honey, Hayato had wanted revenge on Kyoya, but Reborn refused to let him.
"It wasn't that much of a dangerous bet. You guys are lucky to leave with only bruises and scratches," Reborn said.
"Huh, what do you mean by that, little guy?" asked Takeshi.
"It was real-life training so you wouldn't get soft from the peace. Actually engaging in a real battle is the best way to train," Reborn explained.
"Dang, to be beaten by that guy…" Hayato cursed.
"But, Reborn~! Why did you have to damage the school, desu?" Tsuna asked. "It's fine to keep us on our toes, but you mustn't damage school property, desu. That would be bad for our school budget."
"Oh, it'll be fine," Reborn replied. "Hibari's family made massive donations to the school to cover the damages."
"Hibari-san's family is wealthy, desu?" Tsuna asked.
The school bell rang.
"Ah! I forgot to look for Kyoko-chan's brother, desu!" Tsuna cried. "I'll probably have to look for him after school."
"Sasagawa's brother? What for?" Takeshi asked.
"Did he do something to you, Jyuudaimehime?" Hayato added.
"It's nothing. Let's hurry and get to class, desu." Little did Tsuna know that Reborn had already sent a message to the Karate club as an apology for taking up the rest of her lunch break.
The karate club members quickly ran over to the high school to get their help in getting Kyoko as their manager because Reborn's message said, "I refuse to give my little sister to a weak club! Signed, Sasagawa Ryohei."
After school
Tsuna, her necklace changed back to the blue spade, found the boxing club.
"Excuse me!" she called out, opening the door.
"Hey! Welcome!" yelled a loud voice.
Tsuna turned to the loud voice, which belonged to Sasagawa Ryohei, Kyoko's brother, who is shirtless.
Tsuna's eyes strayed down to his abdomen. 'Look at those abs...!' she thought.
"You're one of Kyoko's friends, aren't you?" the boxing captain's voice brought her out of her fangirling moment.
"Yeah. I'm friends with Sasagawa-san."
"Did you come to be the Boxing club's manager? We would welcome an extreme person!"
"Oh, no. I didn't come here for that. Kyoko needs-"
"It's terrible!" Hana cried as she came into the Boxing club. "Kyoko's been taken away."
"Huh!?"
"What is it? Did something happen?" the girl in question asked, stopping at the doorway.
"Eh? Sasagawa-san's right there..." Tsuna said.
A loud laughter came from outside. Kyoko moved away from the door as boys in karategi came into the room, one of them carrying a flag that says 'Namimori High Visitors.'
"Get ready, Sasagawa Ryohei!" said the only one wearing a white karategi. The others were dressed in navy blue.
"Ooyama!" Ryohei called out, recognizing the middle school captain of the Namimori's middle karate club.
A bigger version of Ooyama came to the front. "So you're Sasagawa Ryohei? From what my little brother says, you're pretty tough."
"Little brother? You mean..." Tsuna questioned.
"Namimori High School Karate club leader, Ooyama Daigorou! Come and face me!" the older brother said to the middle school boxing club captain.
"Sasagawa! If we win this, your little sister is part of the karate club!" the little brother added.
"Huh? But what about Kyoko's leadership duties?"
"They keep saying that they want Kyoko as their manager, but they won't listen," Hana explained.
"Even back when I was here, the karate club's has always been full of sweaty guys. How long do you think we've wanted a flower-like female manager? This is for my little brother. I won't make this easy!"
Before any fight could start, Tsuna grabbed the older brother's arm and forced him into a pose.
"Just keep your pose like that!" Tsuna ordered as she adjusted the rest of the Karate club's poses.
"Wha-what?"
"I'm not missing out on an opportunity to draw," Tsuna explained as she took out a sketchbook and began drawing.
"You can draw, Sawada?" Hana asked.
"Yes. When I went to her house the other day, she was making sketches of everyone," Kyoko explained.
"I don't know what's going on, but I will not hand over my sister to any club without her permission!" Ryohei declared.
"Besides, Sasagawa-san's already busy with the leadership club as she already told you multiple times, I'm sure," Tsuna added.
"But a flower-like female manager...!"
"I said hold that pose! I'm almost done!"
"Hey! These are some pretty nice drawings," Hana commented, looking over Tsuna's shoulder.
"And done!" Tsuna exclaimed, like a bell in a boxing ring.
With Tsuna granting permission for her models to move, Ryohei charged at the karate club members, beating the members left and right before they even knew what happened.
For the older brother Ooyama, "Extreme corkscrew punch!" Ryohei gave him his most powerful punch, as he was the one who declared a challenge against him.
"Come over here!" the little brother Ooyama said as he grabbed Kyoko.
"Hey! Don't do that! Sasagawa-sempai's already defeating your members. Don't take Sasagawa-san away like a coward!"
"No matter what, we want a female manager!"
"Then it doesn't have to be Sasagawa-san!"
"Then...then you can be our manager! You're not busying with anything after school, right?"
"Oh hell no!"
The little brother Ooyama turned to face the person who made the exclaim, only to meet a dynamite in the face. Tsuna quickly brought Kyoko to safety before the dynamite exploded in the karate club member's face.
"Jyuudaimehime doesn't have time to be the manager of your weak club!" exclaimed Hayato, the one who threw the dynamite.
"Besides, Sasagawa-sempai's already beaten all your members," Takeshi pointed out. "It's not very good sportsmanship if you don't honor the deal you made with Sasagawa-sempai."
"Grrr! We won't give up!" the little brother exclaimed as the middle school karate club ran in and gathered the high school members.
"Gokudera-san, Yamamoto-san. How long have you guys been here?" Tsuna asked.
"Actually, the little guy told us that you needed our help here, so we came as quick as we could," Takeshi explained.
"Eh? Reborn said that?"
"Like I said before, it's real-life training so you won't get soft from everyday life," Reborn explained. "Truth be told, I was hoping that you would show some moves, but Sasagawa Ryohei will do. A passionate guy like him is needed in the family."
"No. Sasagawa-san would be worried sick if he's in. Plus, you've already tried to recruit Hibari. Isn't that enough?"
"You can never have enough people in the family."
"Family? What's that?" Ryohei asked in the background.
So sorry for the super-duper late update. Stuff happened, and I found myself obsessed with playing facebook games and bigfish games. And then, I keep wanting to read my stories rather than writing them. It's horrible.
In case you haven't noticed, red heart calls Kyoko "Sasagawa-chan", blue spade calls her "Sasagawa-san", and green clover calls her "Kyoko-chan"
Red heart is cute, but she doesn't know Kyoko that much to call her by name (because Japanese only call people by name if they're really close)
Blue spade is cool, and she has the least amount of time spent with Kyoko, so "-san"
Green clover is cute and motherly, and has spent the most time with Kyoko, so "Kyoko-chan"
Hopefully, I'll have updated Butler and Student before summer break, or this one, whichever gives me the least trouble. Fingers crossed.
