"No Whamon"
As the Trailmon slid down the tunnel, everyone was groaning as they clung to the seats, bars or curled up in a ball from the ride since it was so rough.
"Hey, bud, could you possibly go any faster?" Koji asked sarcastically.
"Sure thing, pal. Just hold onto your bandana." The Trailmon said and he began to go faster and jostled everyone more.
"KOJI!" Zoe, Tommy, JP and Daisuke yelled in outrage.
"What?" He yelled back to the group inside.
The Trailmon then skidded to the side making everyone groan.
"I was being sarcastic!" Koji cried.
"Zoe, is everyone okay back there?" Takuya yelled inside the Trailmon.
Zoe was sitting down on the floor with the Digi-Egg held to her chest as Tommy, JP, Daisuke, Bokomon and Neemon stood around her.
"We've all been better!" The blonde called back to the Warrior of Flame.
"One way is fun, the other way we done." The Trailmon said as he came to two tunnels.
"Man, there's two of 'em!" Koji yelled.
"What?!" Takuya yelled.
"How can we tell the right way?" Koji asked.
"I don't know. The trail is up to the rails." The Trailmon said.
In front of them, the track changed and the Trailmon went down the tunnel the track had changed to.
"We on the right track now!" He said making everyone cry out loudly as the Trailmon made a turn to the right.
"I don't like trains!" Daisuke whined as she held onto one of the seats.
"Well, at least it's a little bit smoother in here." Takuya said.
Bokomon was staring at the Digi-Egg, humming in thought as he then came to a conclusion and walked in front of Zoe.
"May I have a word? I want you to give me Seraphimon's egg. I'll take care of it now." He said making everyone look at him in confusion.
"I'm sorry, but I happen to know more about its special needs." The white chicken said as he gently took the egg away from the blonde and placed it safely inside his pink waist band.
"Special needs? Like what?" Zoe asked him.
"What does an egg need? Don't you just keep it warm?" Daisuke tilted her head curiously.
"Not just that, my dear. It must be protected and nurtured by someone with life experience." Bokomon told them.
"Have you been a mommy before?" Neemon asked.
"You sure look like one." Tommy said as he reached to touch the egg, but got his hand slapped away by Bokomon.
"Hands off, bub! You must wash your hands before touching the egg. Honestly, what were you thinking? You might get germs on him." The chicken scolded with a stern look before he smiled down at the egg.
"Don't worry, baby, Momma will keep you safe from them." He said with a smile and blush.
"Hold on guys, it's getting' rough again!" Takuya called as everyone tried to hang on to the seats when the waves got rough.
"Momma's gotcha, Momma's gotcha, Momma's gotcha." Bokomon chanted as if to sooth the baby.
The ride then seemed to get a bit smoother, but then everyone cried out as the Trailmon shot out of the tunnel and went down a waterfall making everyone cry out, Tommy and Daisuke clinging to each other.
"This is definitely not good for the baaaaabbbbbbyyyyyyyy!" Bokomon yelled.
"I always say one good track deserves another." Trailmon chuckled as they landed safely on the rest of the track that was below on the ground.
"End of the line and all is fine." Trailmon chuckled as he stopped.
The group all walked off of the Trailmon, relieved that the ride was done and they were safe.
Trailmon then backed up out of the cave, out of our sight.
"That's pretty scary. He's gotta go backwards all the way home." Tommy commented.
Turning, everyone then started running down the cave, looking for an exit.
"Hey everybody, there's an opening up ahead!" Takuya said as he saw a blue light.
"Let's just hope it takes us outside." Koji said.
The two boys ran off and the rest of the group followed them, hoping to find a way to get out of the underground cave, but were disappointed with what they found.
"This doesn't look like outside to me. Does this look like outside to you?" JP asked.
"Well, duh, it's an underground cavern." Zoe said, her voice echoing in the blue stoned underground cavern that had a pool of water.
"Where's the exit?" Takuya asked.
"Must be one somewhere." Koji said as he and Takuya ran off down to the lower floor.
"Yeah, but where?" Daisuke asked as she held Zoe's hand as they walked down the path.
"Hey, wait for me! If Gurmblemon finds us down here, we'll be in big trouble!" Tommy called as he, Neemon and Bokomon ran down next.
"Let him find us. I'm not afraid of that stupid runt." JP frowned.
"Wow are you trying to impress me with a show of courage, JP?" Zoe teased him.
"I'm not trying to show anything. Give me a break, will ya? Grumblemon stole your Spirit and I want to get it back. It's as simple as that." JP told her seriously.
"I'm, uh…" Zoe trailed off, touched by what he said.
"Maybe we should just turn back and just get this over with." JP said.
"Do you really mean that?" Zoe asked.
"You better believe it." JP told her.
"Wow, that's really sweet of you, JP! You're actually really cool!" Daisuke smiled up at the boy.
"Oh, you think?" JP blushed.
"Yeah! You wanna go after Grumble on your own?" She asked.
"Yeah." JP nodded.
"Well, it's your funeral." Zoe sighed.
"Can't I change my mind?" JP whined.
"Doesn't seem to be any give at all. These walls are made out of solid rock." Koji said as he and Takuya hit the walls.
"Yeah, this stupid cave is a dead end. Beans!" Takuya glared.
"I guess we gotta go back." Tommy said.
"That's what was saying." JP placed his hands on his hips.
"I wonder if we passed an exit back in the tunnels. It's worth a try." Zoe mused.
"But what if we run into Grumblemon and the others back there? We can't fight there." Daisuke stated.
Suddenly, a blast of water burst from the pool of water and JP shielded Tommy with his body as they were both hit and were blasted into a wall.
"Tommy!" Daisuke and Zoe cried.
"Tommy!" Koji yelled.
"Tommy!" Takuya called.
"I don't feel so good, JP." Tommy whimpered.
"Oh geez. Are you all right little man?" JP asked the boy beside him.
"Hey how come nobody yelled out my name?" he asked.
"Mama Mia!" Zoe gasped at the water that rose up.
"Whoa!" Daisuke gasped.
"Definitely…" Takuya began.
"Not good." Koji finished.
The water then fell away as a large brown and blue whale Digimon rose up from the water making everyone stare at him.
"What's Whamon doing down here? He's normally in the ocean." Bokomon said as Neemon stared in shock.
"Who's Whamon?" Zoe asked looking at the whale.
"He's a whale Digimon and he seems to be out of his element." Bokomon said softly.
"I can't stand it anymore! You hear me? I can't stand it!" Whamon cried splashing around.
"He's normally a calm Digimon. Something really must be upsetting him." Bokomon explained.
"I wanna go home! I wanna go home! I wanna go home!" Whamon screamed out.
"We gotta stop him." Koji said.
"Um, all right. I'm ready to go when you are." Takuya agreed.
"Execute: Spirit Evolution!"
"LOBOMON!"
"AGUNIMON!"
"All right big guy. Just calm down." Lobomon said as the two Warriors stood on the whale's back.
"Yeah, what is the matter with you?" Agunimon asked.
"Leave me alone!" Whamon cried out.
(A few minutes later…)
"You seem to be feeling a little bit better Whamon. Can you tell us why you were upset?" Zoe asked.
"Oh, I hate this place… I just want to go home back in the ocean!" Whamon wailed.
"Until very recently, I was swimming happily and free under the sea. Not a care in the world. Then one day I saw a delicious looking glowing plant. I couldn't help myself. I decided to take a little nibble. Oh, they were good. But then Grumblemon appeared and stole the Fractal Code and I was swept up under the ocean and next thing I knew, I was stuck in this place! With no way out!" Whamon started to sob loudly.
"Here we go again." Agunimon commented.
"You don't have to be such a big crybaby." Lobomon insulted.
"You're not helping." Daisuke deadpanned.
"He's sure losing a lot of water. Is that normal?" Neemon asked.
"No idea." Bokomon said.
"This is embarrassing. Does he really think all that blubbering is gonna help him?" JP asked before he then grunted in pain and held his side.
"Hey, are you okay JP?" Tommy asked.
"I'll be fine once I get this pain to go away." JP grunted.
"And-and-an-and it's all my fault you got hurt! I'm so sorry!" Whamon wailed.
"You're forgiven, all right?" JP groaned.
"Well, at least you have some company now. We're stuck here too. Maybe with your help, we can figure out a way to escape." Zoe smiled.
"Huh? Okay." Whamon smiled making everyone stumble at how quickly he got better.
Just then, the water started to get wild making Whamon scream.
"What is happening?" Lobomon asked.
"Oh no, Whamon!" Daisuke gasped as the water drained away from the pool Whamon was lying in.
"Now that is not normal." Bokomon said.
"Grumblemon!" Everyone gasped as the Warrior of Earth burst from the ground, smirking.
"Nowhere hide now." Grumblemon snickered.
"Me find you. Me so glad we see each other again, only this time me steal your Spirits good!" He smirked.
"You're an annoying little gnome, you know that?" Lobomon growled.
"Yeah, what he said. And oh, by the way, you're not stealing anything from anyone ever again. We're not afraid of you anymore, Grumblemon." Agunimon called.
"Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah Grumblemon. You will be." Grumblemon sang as he pulled out a vial.
"Lookey look." He said as he opened it and pink power flew through the air and everyone gasped as glowing symbols appeared on the ground and walls.
"You may take Gigasmon Spirit, but still have other powers. You no can beat me. Your Spirits be mine!" Grumblemon smirked.
Golemon then appeared from the symbols making everyone gasp as they looked around them.
"Me first to find you, so Mercurymon and others no have you now. It too late for them. Meet my new friends." Grumblemon laughed as a Golemon appeared under him.
"Get them!" He ordered and the Golemon charged at the group.
"Let's turn these rocks into pebbles." Agunimon said as he and Lobomon jumped off.
Agunimon used Pyro Tornado and started kicking a group of Golemon and they burst into dust.
Lobomon used his Lobo Kendo and slashed the group of Golemon he faced and they burst into dust.
"Excuse me, gentlemen, we could use a little assistance over here." Bokomon called as JP stood protectively in front of his friends as the Golemon advanced on them.
"Be right there." Agunimon called.
"On the way." Lobomon said as the two started running over.
Just then, two hands stretched out and grabbed the two Warriors around their necks, holding them back.
"This is always the best medicine, right?" Arbourmon asked. (PM-I have no idea what he says.)
"Hey, let go!" JP called as he tried to move forward but cried out as he held his side.
"No, you can't fight in this condition." Zoe protested.
"She's right. The best thing we can do now is hide!" Bokomon called.
"Hey, good hiding, you're invisible." Neemon said when he saw Bokomon was gone.
"Over here, Brainiac." Bokomon said making Neemon look to see him hiding behind a rock.
"Wow, you're pretty fast too." Neemon said when he saw the distance.
"You meat head! The only reason I'm hiding is because I have to protect Seraphimon's egg!" Bokomon insisted.
"Mm-hmm." Neemon grinned.
"I refuse to just hide and give up." JP groaned in pain.
"JP, you're too badly hurt right now. Agunimon and Lobomon will think of something. We have to trust them." Tommy said.
"I'm sure they can handle this. Just have faith." Daisuke assured.
"Come on, Zoe, think. Ah, if only I could Spirit Evolve." Zoe looked at her D-Tector sadly as JP watched.
"Come 'ere! Hey, how about a dance?" Arbourmon dropped Agunimon and Lobomon.
The two Warriors were on their knees as they stared at him in confusion before they were then punched in the face.
"Dance! Come on, dance! Hey, that's better." Arbourmon yelled as he kept punching the Warriors.
"They on ropes. Go Arbourmon, keep going." Grumblemon smirked.
"Those guys are very graceful." Arbourmon said as he pulled his hands away as Agunimon and Lobomon's Fractal Codes appeared.
"Me can smell Spirits. Hurry up and get for me!" Grumblemon called.
"I don't know how long they can keep this up." Tommy said as JP walked forward.
"JP? What are you doing?" Daisuke asked.
"Tommy, Daisuke." He said.
"Yeah?" The kids asked.
"I'm going in. You two watch out for Zoe." JP told them.
"He's lost it." Zoe frowned.
"Yeah, he can't stop them." Tommy frowned.
"Not alone maybe." Daisuke narrowed her eyes as Grumblemon snickered.
"That it, piggy boy. Spirit Evolve. Fight me! Or is you too weak?" Grumblemon mocked.
"He's just egging you on. Get out of there!" Bokomon called as he ducked down.
"I'm not gonna let him win. I won't stand here and let Grumblemon hurt my friends." JP glared.
"I'm with ya." Tommy walked up to him.
"Me too." Daisuke nodded as she walked over.
"Are you sure?" JP asked them.
"Uh huh." Tommy nodded.
"Yeah." Daisuke smiled.
"Execute: Spirit Evolution!"
"KUMAMON!"
"BEETLEMON!"
"BELLEMON!"
"Go, Golemon!" Grumblemon yelled.
"You ready to rock these rock heads?" Beetlemon asked.
"Yep." Kumamon chirped.
"Let's roll." Bellemon said as she took to the air.
Beetlemon used Thunder Fist, then Kumamon followed up with Crystal Freeze and finally Bellemon used Paradise Crucifix to take out the Golemon.
"I'm tired of playing with you." Beetlemon faced Grumblemon who was on the last Golemon.
"I'm gonna make you pay for what you've done!" Beetlemon took to the air as lightning crackled around him.
"You kidding right?" Grumblemon asked as Beetlemon used Thunder Fist, but Golemon hit him with Sulfur Plume, blasting the Warrior of Thunder onto the ground and transformed back to JP.
"Weak human. Fighting you not even work up sweat. Arbourmon, take care of them while me get Spirit." Grumblemon said as he pulled out his hammer.
"I'm on it, Grumble, but first I've gotta change into something more comfortable." Arbourmon said.
"Arbourmon: Slide Evolution!"
"PETALDRAMON!"
"Much better." Petaldramon said as Agunimon and Lobomon stared in shock.
"That is not good." Bellemon flapped.
Grumblemon then went to use Seismic Sledge, but Whamon stopped him with a blast of water and Grumblemon was thrown into a wall.
"No way!" Kumamon gasped as a totem appeared.
"Whamon. I can't believe it. A Beast Spirit." JP stared at it in awe.
"No fair! That Spirit mine!" Grumblemon pulled his face out of the wall.
"Oh, so that's what it was. It did taste a little gamey for a plant." Whamon said.
JP simply stared at the Beast Spirit as it glowed in front of him, its eyes shining yellow as it waited to be called on.
"Too bad that Spirit is mine, mine, mine, mine!" Grumblemon jumped for it.
"Not today! It's my turn to play!" JP pulled out his D-Tector and downloaded the Beast Spirit.
"Execute: Beast Spirit Evolution!"
"METALKABUTERIMON!"
"Oh my, it's the legendary Beast Warrior of Thunder!" Bokomon gasped.
"Moto bene. JP turned into him?" Zoe asked in awe.
Groaning in pain, MetalKabuterimon used his Bolo Thunder, blasting them all around him, hitting the pillars and ceiling as the debris fell.
"Run for your lives!" Bokomon cried as the group ran off.
"He's completely out of control. Run for cover!" Lobomon yelled.
Petaldramon was then buried under the debris while Grumblemon backed away from the Beast, frightened.
"Right behind ya!" Agunimon said as they both ran off.
"Don't be hasty now, friend." Grumblemon said nervously.
"You're no friend of mine, Grumblemon. You don't even understand the meaning of friendship!" MetalKabuterimon yelled as his green eyes glowed.
He then used his Electron Cannon on Grumblemon and Golemon, destroying Golemon while Grumblemon screamed as his Fractal Code was shown.
"MetalKabuterimon: Slide Evolution!"
"BEETLEMON!"
"It's back to the egg for you, pal. Fractal Code; Digitize!" Beetlemon downloaded Grumblemon, defeating him as Zoe's Spirit flew over to her.
"Hey, welcome back!" Zoe giggled happily as her Spirit went into her D-Tector as Grumblemon's egg flew off.
JP then groaned in pain as he fell down as Tommy and Daisuke returned to normal.
"JP! JP are you all right?" Zoe ran over to him.
"Got your Spirit back. At least I did something to make you happy." He smiled at her as she smiled softly.
"That's so sweet. Thank you, JP. I really man it." She exclaimed.
"Hurray, JP!" Tommy cheered as the others laughed.
"RUN!" Takuya screamed as he and Koji ran towards the group as the cavern shook.
"Didn't ya hear me?!" Takuya asked.
The ceiling fell down, destroyed and everyone screamed as they were surrounded by water, Takuya quickly diving for Daisuke and held her as they were swept up in the waves.
Suddenly, everything went dark and everyone was confused.
"Did we die?" Tommy asked.
"Uh. I don't think so." Zoe said.
"It smells like something did!" JP exclaimed.
"What's that light?" Daisuke asked.
As it got brighter, the group found they were inside a mouth and it opened to reveal the ocean making everyone exclaim in awe.
"It's the ocean." Tommy stated.
"It's Whamon!" Everyone exclaimed when they realized they were standing in the whale's mouth.
"I don't know how you saved us but thank you." Bokomon smiled.
"Yeah, and welcome home, Whamon." Zoe said.
"Oh, I'm the one who should be thanking you. Without your help, I might have been stuck in that cave forever. Hang on everybody; we should be reaching the island very soon." Whamon informed.
"Island?" Takuya asked.
"The Arrival of SkullGreymon"
"Oh. How far do we have to walk?" Mimi complained.
They were in the desert, the hot sun beating down on them.
"Until Etemon can't follow us anymore." Joe stated.
"I don't think there is such a place." Mimi complained.
"We certainly can't stop here in the middle of nowhere. For one thing, if we were attacked there would be no place for us to run to." Matt spoke up.
"I really hate the desert." Veemon sighed.
"No kidding." Daisuke groaned as she whipped the sweat off her brow.
"Hey, come on you guys." Tai said stopping and turned to face the rest of the group.
"Why'd we stop? Why's everyone so scared?" He asked.
"After all, we do have the Crest, you know." He said holding the Tag and Crest out for everyone to see.
"That's true, but do we really know the crest will help Agumon to Digivolve?" Matt asked.
"Of course. Right, Agumon?" Tai asked his orange dino, who turned to him with a confused look.
"Listen buddy, this is your big chance. Don't let me down. You're the only one that can Digivolve further, so either you try to get to the next level and save us from Etemon or I'll go and get myself a new Digimon!" Tai said rudely as Agumon whimpered.
Daisuke's mouth dropped in shock while Veemon covered his eyes in shock while Sora frowned at this.
"Not much of a choice." Tentomon said as he flew by the duo of Courage.
"Arg. By the way, how are we supposed to use the Crests to Digivolve again?" Tai asked while Agumon sulked.
"Well, from what we saw so far, the other Digivolutions take a lot of energy, so for example, they can't Digivolve if they're hungry. For example, the partner of the Digimon must be in some sort of danger. You know, like being under attack or something." Izzy explained.
"But since it's a high level of Digivolving, my theory is even more energy is needed. We'll provide the food and Etemon will provide the danger." Tai said giving his partner a wink, the dinosaur whimpering again.
About an hour or walking, the group stopped to rest while Tai shoved some fruit into Agumon's mouth, making the lizard groan.
"No more!" Agumon cried over the mouth in his mouth.
"Just one more eensie bite." Tai said shoving another fruit into the dino's full mouth.
"Ready for the second course?" Tai asked making Agumon leaned back, holding his stomach.
"Oh, stop your belly aching and open wide. You gotta keep on eating. Listen, everyone's giving you their food so that you can Digivolve. Isn't that right?" Tai asked the rest of the group who sat on a small hill behind him.
"Yeah." Matt said enthusiastically.
"We didn't even give him our food. He took it from us. Of all the nerve." Mimi complained.
"Well, the food won't do us any good. We still can't Digivolve." Gabumon said.
"Those of us who don't work don't eat." Joe muttered.
"But I'm hungry." Tentomon whined.
"Hey, I can't hear you. I said 'is that right?!'" Tai yelled.
"That's right!" Everyone yelled back.
"Drop dead." Daisuke muttered.
Matt heard this and shook his head in amusement at the girl who seemed to be in a bad mood.
"See, that's why you've gotta try your best to protect everybody. Now come on, buddy, keep eating!" Tai ordered Agumon, who forced himself to continue eating.
"This isn't good. Agumon'll be too sick to move if he keeps this up." Veemon frowned.
"I guess there's not much else we can do to help." Palmon said.
"I don't know if Agumon can take much more." Biyomon commented.
"Yeah, Tai is really pushing him. Agumon's stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey." Sora said.
"Eat up, you need that energy!" Tai yelled at his dino as he forced more food into his mouth.
"Tai's personality is taking a turn for the worst lately. I remember him being friendlier to much younger kids." Izzy brought up.
"Actually, now that you mention it…he was cool during soccer camp. Tai might look like he's trying to run things all by himself, but whatever crazy action he takes, he's doing it for the good of the team." Sora explained.
"Mm-hmm." Izzy nodded.
"But now all this…" Sora trailed off as the goggle head shoved another fruit in Agumon's mouth.
"We're the only ones who can help now. So, you've gotta keep eating, okay, Agumon?" Tai asked.
"I can't!" Agumon whined as he fell down on his back.
"Tai's personality seems to have changed ever since he got a hold of that Crest of Courage." Sora commented.
"Boy, I'm hungry. Hmm? Hey, guys!" Joe said as he pulled out his Tag, revealing it glowing a silvery color.
"My Tag is glowing!" He said standing up.
"That must mean it's reacting to something." Matt said.
"The Crest must be nearby." Izzy theorized.
"You think so?" Tai asked standing up, looking ready to go, pulling out his mini telescope.
"Hey, look! There's something out there. It looks like a big building or something." He reported.
"That must be where my Crest is." Joe said running down the sand dunes, but he tripped over a black cable.
"What's a cable doing out in the middle of nowhere?" Gomamon asked as he looked at it.
The group then followed the glowing Tag and they arrived at a large coliseum that looked like an exact replica from Rome.
"Amazing, it looks like the Roman coliseum." Izzy said.
"What's a coliseum?" Tentomon asked.
"Well, Tentomon, it's an ancient arena." Tai informed.
"Brave warriors called gladiators used to battle or race in coliseums." Daisuke explained.
"But the ancient didn't have big screens." Mimi said staring at the screen.
"Or soccer goals." Sora said as she pointed out the large goals.
"Okay guys let's go split up and look for the Crest." Tai said as Agumon fell onto his bottom.
"What's wrong?" Tai asked him.
"I can't move anymore. Let me rest a little bit." Agumon said turning on his side to get some rest.
"Come on. Get up! You can do it." Tai yelled.
"I can't!" Agumon cried.
"Give him a rest Tai." Joe said making the brunette look at him.
"Hmm?" Tai asked.
"The only clue we have is my Tag. So Gomamon and I will search for the Crest. You guys relax for a while." Joe said.
"Wait, I'll go with you." Tai said as the three ran off to look for it.
"A soccer ball!" Sora cried out as a soccer ball rolled over to the group.
"Hey, anybody up for a game?" The orange haired girl asked.
"Yeah, that sounds fun!" TK cheered.
"I'm up for it." Daisuke smiled.
"That's a great idea. The human team will play against the Digimon team." Matt said.
"What on earth is 'soccer'?" Tentomon asked.
"It's easy. You use your feet to try to get this ball into the goal. You can also use your chest and your head." Sora said as she kicked up the ball into the air and hit it with her head.
The ball bounced over to Gabumon, who went over to it eagerly.
"Here I go!" He chuckled giving it a kick, making it fly over to Biyomon and Palmon, hitting the bird over the head and then it bounced into the plant/lizard's hands.
"Oh, that's really using your head." Palmon said as Biyomon was on the ground from the hit.
"Oh, and I forgot to tell you. You can't use your hands." Sora giggled.
"Unless you're the goal keeper, then you can touch the ball with your hands." TK informed.
"Yeah, you should be the goalie for your team, Palmon." Matt said.
"Here!" The lizard/plant said as she made a baseball throw, the ball landing near Tai, who ran up to it and gave a powerful kick, making it sail over the wall of the coliseum.
"Wow, nice kick." Veemon blinked.
"I can't believe you're playing soccer at a time like this. Will you use your heads for something other than hitting the ball? The sooner Joe finds the Crest, the sooner we can leave." He said making everyone look down in slight depression as a certain raspberry haired girl glared at him.
"Your Tag is reacting again." Gomamon said as he and Joe stood at the soccer net.
"Yeah, the Crest must be around here somewhere. Huh?" Joe asked.
The sound of clapping filled the area and everyone turned to the large screen to see a pair of gloved hands clapping.
"Who's the king?" Etemon asked as his face appeared on the screen.
"Ahhh! He's here! Etemon's here!" Mimi cried running away and the others followed her.
"Hey, wait for me!" Agumon cried as he tried to keep up, but he tripped and fell while we were all hiding in the soccer net with Joe and Gomamon.
"Agumon!" Tai cried as he went to go help him, but the net fell down, blocking everyone in.
"Hey! We're trapped." Matt exclaimed.
"Goal! I sure did it. I scored a goal." Etemon cheered.
"The whole thing was a trap." Tai said.
"Does he really think he can trap us with this stupid net?" Tentomon asked as he rammed into the net but was electrocuted and was knocked back into everyone.
"Oh, now, listen up. You might get hurt. There's electricity running through that net. It's a shocker, I know. I really wanted to be there in person to do this myself, but I'm far too busy. You know how us rock 'n' roll legends are. Don't worry; the act substituting for me is a rare treat. Let's see if you can put your puny little hands together when you figure out who our special guest star is. Well?" Etemon sneered.
"How can we know who it is?" Tai asked.
"I'm yall be surprised. Here he comes." Etemon announced.
Loud footsteps were heard and everyone turned to see a Greymon wearing a collar and had glowing red eyes walk into the coliseum.
"It's a different Greymon!" Tai exclaimed.
"See? I knew you'd be surprised. Ah, I'm so evil. Let's get started, it's time to go. Okay, here's the show." Etemon smirked.
Greymon snarled as he stomped on the other net across the field, roaring in anger.
"It's time to Digivolve." Tai said as his Digivice beeped.
"Agumon Digivolve too…GREYMON!"
The two Greymon charged each other, trying to shove the other down.
Greymon rammed his head into Evil Greymon's face making him back away in pain, but then he whacked Greymon in the side with his tail.
"You can do it, Greymon!" Gabumon called.
"Don't lose to that phoney baloney!" TK yelled.
"Yeah, you can do it!" Veemon cheered.
Evil Greymon snarled as he charged Greymon, ramming his head into Greymon and sent him flying back into the DigiDestineds' cage, being electrocuted.
"Greymon, you've got to Digivolve!" Tai yelled.
"Boy, this doesn't look good." Izzy said as Greymon pushed himself up, the evil dino standing over him.
"We're done for if he can't Digivolve again!" Tentomon cried.
"Digivolve, Greymon. You've got to." Tai encouraged.
Greymon got up tiredly and rammed his head into Evil Greymon, trying to push him back, but Evil Greymon grabbed hold of his horns and threw him to the ground.
Evil Greymon then started stomping his foot down on Greymon making the good dinosaur groan in pain.
"What's he waiting for? Why won't he Digivolve to the next level?" Tai asked.
"It's not working, Tai. The Crest isn't reacting at all. Maybe you gave him too much to eat." Izzy accused.
"Maybe he can't Digivolve." Matt suggested.
"Of course, he can. Come on, Greymon. You can do it! Believe in your power and you can Digivolve." Tai yelled.
Greymon then used his tail to whip Evil Greymon, the bad dinosaur stumbling back.
"Way to go, Greymon!" Tai cheered.
Greymon tried to use his Nova Blast, but he choked out nothing but spit.
"He certainly doesn't have any digi-manners. At least say 'excuse me'." Mimi said.
"Am I imagining it or is he moving a lot slower than usual?" Matt asked.
"He consumed way too much, so his refluxes are sluggish." Izzy theorized.
"Right, Izzy." Tentomon said trying to get out of the cage but was electrocuted.
"Not again." He groaned.
Evil Greymon was dragging Greymon around the field by his tail, the good dino not even looking like he is trying to get free.
"Get up and fight!" Tai ordered.
Evil Greymon was swinging Greymon around by his tail now then let him go and fly into the stairs of the coliseum, destroying them.
"It's lookin' like this is gonna be over sooner than I thought." Etemon laughed.
Evil Greymon picked up Greymon in a headlock and ran over to the center of the field and then did a wrestling move where he slammed him down.
"We really need help! Marching Fishes!" Gomamon cried and colorful fish started to swim out of the water that was pouring out from a fountain.
There was a Gazimon standing on top of the statues with fireworks in his paws, but the fish knocked him down and stole the fireworks, bringing them over to Evil Greymon as he was stomping on Greymon again.
They caught the evil dino's attention and he chased after them.
"Where did those fish come from? How could they just come out of there like that?" Joe asked.
"I don't know, but if it's not broken, don't fix it." Gomamon said.
"It's really elementary, Joe. There's probably just a dimensional drift in the water." Izzy explained.
"Ditto." The seal Digimon agreed.
"Oh." Joe said crossing his arms.
The fish then all dropped the fireworks at Evil Greymon's feet, making him yelp and try to avoid getting hit by the flames and sparks as the fish flew away.
"Thank you, fish!" Sora called as they disappeared.
"Now, what are we going to do to get out of here?" Sora asked.
"We should dig a hole and tunnel our way out." Izzy said as he and Matt lifted up a stone block that revealed dirt under it.
"Great idea." The blond said as we all started helping lifting away the blocks.
"There's a black cable here too." Izzy said when we saw it in the dirt under us.
"This rock is in the way." Tentomon said staring at a stone block that had a cross symbol on it.
"My Tag. It's…its reacting again." Joe said as he held out this Tag as it was glowing the same silvery color from before.
"What if this rock…is the Crest we've been looking for?" He asked as the two Greymons were locked into a fight again.
"If this really is the Crest that goes with my Tag." Joe said as he placed his Tag onto the symbol.
"Then maybe…" He trailed off as the block glowed that same silver color and it shrunk into a pendant as it slid into place in the Tag.
The ground under the group then broke open making everyone cry out as they fell into an underground cavern.
"It is my Crest. Yes!" Joe cheered.
"Look, a tunnel. We can get out through here." Tentomon said.
Everyone followed Tentomon down the tunnel and they made it out from underground and walked into the coliseum where the fight was.
"Greymon, you could win if you only Digivolve. GREYMON!" Tai said as he clutched his Crest.
Greymon, who was lying on the stairs, looked back at Tai as he climbed up on the short wall.
"Tai don't!" Sora said grabbing his waist.
"Don't stop me. This is my chance to make him Digivolve to the next level. Please mind your own business, Sora." Tai said to the girl.
"But Tai, without a reaction from the Crest there's no way for him to Digivolve." Sora said.
"I can make him do it. Watch." Tai said jumping off the wall and running toward the two fighting dinosaurs.
"What do ya think he's going to do?" Matt asked.
"The other condition for Digivolving is their partner must be in danger." Izzy reminded.
"He wouldn't." Sora said in horror.
"The normal Tai wouldn't. This one though will. He's lost it." Daisuke narrowed her eyes.
"Hurry up and finish him off. Use your Nova Blast." Etemon laughed as Evil Greymon started up his attack.
"STOP!" Tai yelled.
His yelling startled the evil dinosaur so much that he turned his head to the side and sent his Nova Blast to the statue.
"I'm not afraid of a big fake like you. Okay, fire breath, come and get me." The goggle head taunted.
Evil Greymon turned to him growling, Tai crying out in fear as the dino went to him, Greymon watching in worry as the rest of the group were in a panic.
"Biyomon, you've got to help Tai." Sora insisted.
"You go too, Gabumon." Matt told him.
"Got it." The canine/lizard agreed.
"Biyomon Digivolve too…BIRDAMON!"
"Gabumon Digivolve too…GARURUMON!"
"Greymon, I believe in you." Tai called as the blue wolf and red bird were by him to protect him.
Greymon forced himself to rise up from the ground to fight.
"You can do it, Greymon. Digivolve!" Tai yelled as his Digivice shone dark green and his Crest glowed orange before it turned pitch black.
The sky darkened as black streams of light fell down from the sky, flames swirling around them as Greymon started transform into a skeletal creature that made Daisuke gasp in horror.
"What in the world?" Sora gasped.
"What do you think that is?" Matt asked.
"Oh my. Is that what I think it is?" Tentomon asked in shock.
"What do you call that thing?" The orange haired girl questioned.
"SkullGreymon. The sight of it makes other Digimon tremble. He is a fully Digivolved Digimon who's explosive power causes him to constantly search for battle." Tentomon explained.
"This could be very bad. There's been some mistake and he's Digivolved into a horrible monster." Izzy said as Mimi and TK coward behind him.
SkullGreymon growled out a snarl as he towered over Evil Greymon, his green eyes looking deadly.
Evil Greymon had the right idea to run away from him, but SkullGreymon chased after him and back handed him away and he sailed right into the big screen, a shocked Etemon backing away from the screen as Evil Greymon was electrocuted from the broken TV.
SkullGreymon then fired off the orange rocket that was on his back and it destroyed the TV along with the Evil Greymon making everyone stare in horror.
"Listen to me, SkullGreymon, if you're really the Digivolved form of Greymon, then you can't hurt me!" Tai yelled.
"Tai get outta there!" Matt yelled as SkullGreymon chased Tai.
"Veemon, cover me." Daisuke told him.
"Got it." Veemon nodded as the girl ran behind a wall.
"Beast Spirit Evolution!"
"MEWMON!"
Birdramon and Garurumon were thrown away by SKullGreymon when suddenly a catlike Digimon appeared and kicked SkullGreymon in the face, making him stumble back.
"Who is that?" Sora asked.
"It's Mewmon!" Tentomon gasped.
Mewmon back flipped away from SkullGreymon as the beast chased after the Beast of Miracles.
"Mewmon is the fully evolved form of Bellemon." Veemon said as everyone stared at the Beast.
"Come on big guy, let's play." Mewmon smirked as her tail curled.
Roaring, SkullGreymon reached out for the cat girl and she jumped up onto his arm and aimed her Jungle Fury at him, the blast making him stumble back.
"She's tougher than she used to be." TK noticed.
"She has to be when fighting that thing." Joe commented.
Mewmon then did a series of aerobatic flips as SKullGreymon chased after her and as the skeletal beast got close enough to her, she turned towards him.
Holding her arms up, she crossed them in front of her chest as her claws grew longer.
Pouncing on SkullGreymon, she used her Claw of Bastet, a golden glow appearing from her claws and SkullGreymon roared in pain as he was covered in yellow light and shrunk back to Koromon.
Mewmon landed on her feet in front of Koromon and gently picked him up as Tai ran over as Gabumon and Biyomon returned to normal.
"I wonder what happened." Izzy mused.
"His energy ran out." Tentomon explained.
"He's Koromon again." TK said.
Tai slid down the sand dune and ran to his partner.
"Are you all right?" He asked as Mewmon handed Koromon to him.
"Well, yes, but…I've done some terrible, horrible things." He whimpered sadly as he saw the destruction he had done.
"I savagely attacked three of my fellow Digimon." He said sadly looking close to tears.
"It wasn't your fault." Biyomon comforted.
"She's right." Gabumon agreed with the pink bird.
"We completely understand." Tentomon said.
"I'm sorry I didn't live up to your expectations of me, Tai." Koromon said looking down.
"It's not your fault." Matt said as he walked over.
"I know who's to blame." The blond said.
"I know, it's all my fault. I'm really, really sorry." Tai said miserably.
"I didn't mean to put it all on you, Tai." Matt frowned sadly.
"It's okay; it's my fault, right, Sora?' Tai asked looking at the girl.
Mewmon sighed as she then pulled Tai's goggles, snapping them on his head making him cry out in pain.
"Enough with the pity party. So, you made mistake? So, what! That's natural. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's what you learn from them that matters." The Beast of Miracles told him.
"Yeah, but…" Tai trailed off as he looked at Koromon sadly.
"Look, I can't tell you what to do. But I can tell you that Agunimon even made mistakes. He attacked us too when he reached his Beast Spirit form. And he felt what I imagine you are now. Self-loathing, guilt, sorrow." Mewmon counted.
"How did Agunimon deal with this?" Tai asked.
Mewmon smiled as she ruffled up the brunette's wild hair.
"He got over whatever was scaring him." She told him.
Tai blinked in confusion at that as Mewmon stepped back and smiled at the group as she then flipped away, disappearing from the coliseum.
Hiding behind the walls, Mewmon returned to Daisuke and the girl ran off to the group, standing at the back with Veemon.
"Wow. I wonder how she knows when to show up when we need her." Sora mused.
"Who knows?" Izzy shrugged.
"Hey, Daisuke, where were you?" TK asked.
"What do you mean? I was here the whole time." Daisuke blinked.
Joe, Matt and Sora gave the girl suspicious looks at that but shrugged it off for the time being.
