"You did this!" the woman shouted as she stood up on the chair, a noose wrapped around her neck as her six year old daughter watch.
"Everything is your fault! For being here, this is your fault!" The woman kicked the chair and swung back and forth slightly as the little girl stared at the scene with wide gray eyes.
Rick and Michonne stood there, not saying a word and just stared at each other, then Carl came running down to him. Michonne groaned quietly and touched her bullet wound, and one of the walkers started to sniff in her direction. She backed up and pulled her sword out and swung at the walkers as they came to her.
"Should we help her?" Carl asked.
Rick didn't say anything and walked over to Carl; Michonne sliced another walker down, but she fell when her wound started to hurt a lot more. But she stood back up and stabbed the walker coming at her and kicked it away. Michonne's vision was starting to get blurry and she fell, she panted as she closed her eyes, but she remained conscious enough to hear gun shots and she blacked out.
"Carl" Rick called out.
Carl tossed Rick the keys and he opened the gates; Rick and Carl soon went out and shot at the walkers, Carl walked over to where the basket was and picked it up while Rick looked over Michonne for bites.
"Is she bit?" Hershel asked as he and Beth walked to see what was going on.
"Gunshot" Rick answered, then he moved Michonne so he could carry her on his shoulder.
Everyone rushed inside to tend to Michonne.
"Carl, get a blanket, Beth, water and a towel" Rick said.
"Here?" Carl asked as he placed a blanket down.
"She's not coming in the cell block" Rick said as he placed Michonne on the blanket and her sword behind him.
Beth handed Rick the water and towel and he started to pour some of the water on Michonne to see if she could wake up and she started to come to.
"Hey, it's alright, look at me" Rick advised as Michonne looked around in confusion, "Who are you?"
Michonne didn't answer and she looked over to see her sword and tried to grab it, but Rick pushed it away.
"We're not gonna hurt you, unless you try something stupid first, alright?" Rick said.
"Rick"
He looked back to see Daryl come in and he saw Michonne on the ground.
"Who the hell is this?" Daryl asked.
"You wanna tell us your name?" Rick asked, but Michonne stayed quiet, "You wanna tell us your name?"
Michonne remained quiet, just staring at him.
"Ya'll come on in here" Daryl said.
"Everything alright?" Rick asked.
"You're gonna want to see this" Daryl said.
Rick looked at everyone, "Go head, Carl, get the bag"
Sophia then came close and stood behind the bars to look at Michonne and she started back at her.
"We'll keep this safe and sound" Rick said, holding up Michonne's sword, "The doors are all locked, you'll be safe here; now we can treat that"
"…I didn't ask for your help" Michonne finally spoke.
"Doesn't matter" Rick said and was about to walk away.
"But she needs it" Michonne said.
Rick stopped and looked back, "Who? Are there others?"
"Just her, and she needs help"
"Who are you talking about?" Daryl questioned.
Michonne was quiet for a bit, then she turned to look at Sophia. "Echo"
Sophia's eyes widen at the name, she almost couldn't believe it and neither could Daryl.
"E-Echo, s-she's with you?" Sophia asked as she tried to get in, but Daryl blocked her, "Where is she?"
"She's just outside in the woods, she passed out and I couldn't carry her, but I made sure to hide her" Michonne answered.
"And how do we know you're telling the truth?" Daryl questioned.
"She talks about you people, sometimes about Sophia"
"What happened?" Sophia asked, "She should have been with you to help, is she hurt?"
"She has an injury, you need to get to her before those things out there do" Michonne said.
"Daryl" Rick said.
"I'm on it" Daryl said and went to grab his crossbow.
When they all went inside to the cell block, Rick looked into the cell block and saw Carol on the bed, then she sat up and smiled when she saw Rick. Rick and Carol hugged each other in relief, then Hershel came up and hugged Carol as well.
"Poor thing must have fought her way back to the cell, must have passed out, dehydrated" Daryl explained.
Carol looked at Beth and saw that she was carrying the baby in her arms, but then she looked back at Rick with a sad look and she knew that Lori mustn't have made it and she gave him a sympathetic hug.
"Echo was right" Michonne said when she stood up and watched them from behind the bars.
"About what?" Sophia asked when she remained there.
"About you being good people"
Sophia looked up and smiled with a nod.
Daryl soon came over to them and moved Sophia to get back with the others.
"She better be out there" Daryl said as he glared a little at Michonne.
"She's under a woman's body, she's wearing a pink dress" Michonne informed.
Daryl looked back at her before he left; he ran towards the gate and made sure that none of the walkers caught him, though only two did, he easily took them down and began to search the woods. Daryl looked around to see if he could find the walkers description, he almost couldn't find it. After a few minutes of looking, he almost gave up until he spotted a body on the ground, a woman with a pink dress.
Daryl ran over to the body and pushed the walker off and saw Echo lying under it. He moved Echo's head to the side and saw a wound on her neck and it was still bleeding; he soon placed his crossbow over his shoulder and picked Echo up, then he noticed that her hair was cut off as well, wondering what the hell happened to her.
Daryl had to hurry so he could get in before the walkers caught a whiff of her blood, and he was lucky to get in with no walkers coming at him, then he hurried back into the cell block.
"Herhsel!" Daryl called out as he came in.
Rick unlocked the door and Daryl came in and to a cell to lay Echo down on the bed.
"Echo!" Everyone called out when they saw Daryl come in.
Hershel soon came in and Beth came in with a water bottle and towel and they began to tend to Echo's wound.
"It's not deep enough to need stitches, but I'll need some gauze to stop the bleeding" Hershel said.
Sophia ran to get the supplies and soon came back in and stood over to watch Echo. Once Echo was patched up, Hershel, Daryl and Rick soon went to tend to Michonne.
"We can tend to that wound for you" Rick said, then his voice got a little serious, "But you're gonna have to tell us how you found us, and why you were carrying formula"
"The supplies were dropped by a young Asian guy with a pretty girl" Michonne answered.
"What happened?" Rick asked.
"Were they attack?" Hershel asked.
"They were taken" Michonne answered.
"Taken, by who?" Rick asked.
"By the same son of a bitch who shot me and cut Echo's throat" Michonne answered.
"These are our people; you tell us what happened now!" Rick questioned as he squeezed Michonne's wound.
She stood up and Daryl pointed his crossbow at her.
"Don't you ever touch me again!" Michonne hissed.
"Better start talking or you're gonna have a much bigger problem than a gunshot wound" Daryl threatened and Michonne stared at him.
"Echo exaggerated a little bit about you two" Michonne said.
"You may have saved her, but you still lost two of our own" Daryl said.
"Find them yourself" Michonne said.
Rick moved his hand and pushed Daryl's crossbow down.
"You came here for a reason" Rick said.
Michonne was quiet for a while before she sighed, "There's a town, Woodbury, about seventy-five survivors, I think they were taken there"
"A whole town?" Rick asked.
"Run by this guy who calls himself the Governor, pretty boy, charming, Jim Jones type"
"He got muscle?" Daryl asked.
"They were military wannabes, they run sentries on every wall"
"You know a way in?" Rick asked.
"Place's secure from walkers, but we can slip out way through" Michonne said.
Things were quiet for a little while before Rick spoke.
"How'd you know how to get here?"
"They mention the prison, said what direction it was in, said it was a straight shot"
"…This is Hershel, father of the girl who was taken, he'll take care of that" Rick said and him and Daryl walked back into the cell block.
Michonne soon laid down on her side and let Hershel take care of her wound and Carl was standing away from them, his hand near his gun just in case. Though Michonne had taken care of Echo, he still didn't trust her.
"How is she?" Michonne spoke.
Hershel looked at her before he went back to work, "Sleeping, her wound wasn't deep, but I placed some gauze on it to stop the bleeding"
Soon Hershel finished stitching the wound.
"Thank you" Michonne said and Hershel looked at her with a small nod.
"How do you know we can trust her?" Oscar questioned.
"She saved Echo, and Echo is good a judging people" Sophia said.
"This is Maggie and Glenn, why are we even debating about it?" Beth asked.
"We ain't, I'll go after them" Daryl said.
"This place sound pretty secure, you can't go alone" Rick said.
"I'll go" Beth offered.
"Me too" Axel said.
"I'm here" Oscar said.
After a few debates, it was decided that Daryl, Rick and Oscar would go into town to rescue Glenn and Maggie. They packed the necessities for their trip and they soon drove off; everyone then went inside and just waited, hoping that they would make it back with Maggie and Glenn. After driving for a few short miles, Rick decided to park the car on the side of the road.
"They have patrols, we're better off on foot" Michonne informed.
"How far?" Rick asked, "Night's coming"
"Mile, maybe two" Michonne said.
Oscar opened the trunk of the car and took out a few things from the back before they moved on into the woods. They walked in silence for a long while, but then there was some groaning noise.
"Rick" Daryl whispered.
"Down!" Rick said and everyone got down.
Some walkers came from out of the woods and everyone got their weapons ready, then they started to attack. They only knocked down a few before more came out.
"There's too many of them!" Daryl said.
"This way!" Rick said and they cut through the woods.
They ran for a while before a house came into view.
"In here" Rick said and they made their way to the house.
They made it inside and Michonne closed the door, the house was dark and empty and there was a horrendous smell in the air. They looked around to see if there were any walkers, but it was empty, then there was some banging against the door and they saw that the walkers had found them.
Rick shined his flashlight around and he spotted a lump on a bed and he informed the others, they held their weapons firmly as Rick gripped the covers before pulling them off and the man who was sleeping underneath woke up and held his gun up at them.
"Who the hell are you?!" The man questioned.
"We don't mean any harm" Rick said.
"Get out of my house!" the man yelled.
"Ok, ok, we will, but we can't right now"
"Now!"
"Shut your mouth" Michonne said.
"Get out, right now!"
"There are walkers outside!"
The man looked around at the people and outside, "I'll call the cops!"
"I am a cop; now, I need you to lower the gun, don't do anything rash, everything's fine, let's just take this nice and slow; ok, look at me, hey" Rick held his hands up in surrender, but the man clocked his gun and pointed it at him.
"Show me your badge!"
"It's in my pocket, I'm just gonna reach down, nice and slow"
Just when the man had his gun lowered, Rick grabbed the gun and the gun went off and it almost got Daryl, but he moved just in time. Rick held the man in a head lock, but he kept struggling and screaming, so Rick covered his mouth, but the man bite him and he got out of his grip and made a run for the door.
Just as he was about to open it, Michonne pulled her sword out and stabbed the guy in the throat and killed him. They all looked down as the man bled out; Daryl looked out through the boards to see how many there were, there were too many.
"Remember the Alamo?" Daryl said.
"Help me with this, you get the door" Rick said.
"You got to be kidding" Oscar said.
"He's dead, check the back" Rick said as he and Daryl lifted the man's body.
Oscar went to the back door and opened it to take a peek, "It's clear"
"Ok, one, two, three!"
Michonne opened the door and Daryl and Rick shoved him out to the walkers and closed the door. They soon ran out the back door, around the house and made it to the woods without any of the walkers catching them. They continued on down the trail and they caught sight of some light, and as they got closer, they saw the walls, some people were standing on guard, but they hide so they couldn't get caught. They waited until it was the right time to strike.
