So this is it – a short but heartfelt epilogue.
For the last time:
Enjoy!
She looked at all the people at the table. All the z-fighters, Gohan, her parents, herself and her children were back to life; they had actually been back for a month, but she had felt no urge to rush the celebration. Her number one priority had been to heal the wounds in her and Vegeta's relationship. It had actually been way easier than she had thought it would be.
When they had been brought back Tracey, Trunks and herself had appeared in the throne-room, where Vegeta had been sitting by himself, obviously so deep in his own thoughts he had jumped into a defense-stance by their sudden appearance. Tracey had run to him and jumped at him; he had caught her and looked at her with confusion in his gaze for a few seconds before he got down on one knee and looked at Trunks.
The purple-haired boy had nervously held her hand, but when Vegeta let go of Tracey with one of his hands and stretched it towards him he had almost tripped over his own feet to get to the kneeling figure. Overwhelmed by the situation Bulma had fallen to her knees and buried her face in her hands, joyous tears washing down her face. Moments later she had felt both her children at her side, their hands had been patting her lovingly; they knew why she cried. When she had wiped most of her tears away she had looked at Vegeta. He had seemed confused by her actions, but when she smiled and opened her arms towards him his features had softened and he had walked to them and helped her off the floor.
After the first couple of days, where Trunks and Tracey had bombarded Vegeta with so many questions he would have snapped several times if Bulma hadn't made sure to drag the kids away from him either telling a lie about someone asking to see him or plainly saying she wanted to talk with him alone now, the children had spent most of their time training with Burdock under supervision of Gohan and Raditz. She had spoken quite a lot with Vegeta – he had been way more talkative than usual, and she had enjoyed every moment of it.
'It couldn't be more perfect,' she thought to herself and grabbed Vegeta's hand underneath the table. The z-fighters would take off towards Earth in a couple of days, but they would maintain contact via computers. Her parents had decided to stay at Planet Vegeta to follow the life of their grandchildren; the Ox-king had decided to do so as well, and Vegeta had with no second thoughts given all humans several devices so they could move around with no problems.
It hadn't been necessary for Bulma; Goku had made sure she was resurrected with the physics of a saiyan, so she would be able to move around at her new home-planet without problems. He had promised Chi-Chi to visit Namek next time the Dragonballs could be used and wish for the same thing for her; he had been convinced she had wanted to go back to Planet Earth. She would hear no word of it! Daisia and Gohan had become mates, and Chi-Chi wanted to stay where she would probably get grandchildren in the near future than going back to her birth-planet.
Talking of Gohan and Daisia, they were too busy looking into each other's eyes to notice Krillin's attempts to get in contact with them. Bulma had a hard time believing Gohan had been as King Kai had described when she was how deep in love he was with the young, long-haired saiyan woman.
Dr. Brief cleared his throat and stood up. "This, my friends, has been a long journey. Especially for my beautiful daughter, who even conquered the flow of time. My wife and I are pleased to see how everything has ended, and how happy our family and friends are." He lifted his glass and sent a smile in Bulma's direction. "To the future!"
"The future!" everyone at the table said and the sound of clinking glass filled the room.
Indeed… everything was perfect!
So this was it. A Desperate Wish.
I want to thank all of you guys for your support and response! It's been great, and I hope you will read whatever I'm going to make in the future – let me put it this way: I could have made a massive amount of reuniting chapters, but I've decided to make them as a story with small one-shots when I'm suddenly hit by the perfect scene-idea.
Until next time!
Love,
